ਜੋ ਜੋਬਨ ਦੇ ਰਸ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ॥੨੬॥
He went there and there was none with him, he saw a very charming woman there.26.
ਅਤਿਸੋਭਤਹੈ॥
(ਉਹ) ਬਹੁਤ ਸੋਭਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ।
ਲਖਿਲੋਭਤਹੈ॥
ਵੇਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਭਾ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਨ੍ਰਿਪਪੇਖਿਜਬੈ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ,
ਚਿਤਿਚਉਕਤਬੈ॥੨੭॥
ਤਾਂ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੨੭॥
Her glory coveted his mind, when the king saw her, his mind was startled.27.
ਇਹਕਉਨਜਈ॥
(ਸੋਚੀਂ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ) ਇਹ ਕਿਸ ਦੀ ਪੁੱਤਰੀ ਹੈ।
ਜਨੁਰੂਪਮਈ॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਰੂਪਵਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ।
ਛਬਿਦੇਖਿਛਕ੍ਯੋ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਛਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ
ਚਿਤਚਾਇਚਕ੍ਰਯੋ॥੨੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਚਾਉ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੨੮॥
The king though as to whose daughter that beautiful woman was, seeing here beauty the king saw allured and his mind fell in love with her.28.
ਨ੍ਰਿਪਬਾਹਗਹੀ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ (ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਬਾਂਹ ਪਕੜ ਲਈ,
ਤ੍ਰੀਅਮੋਨਰਹੀ॥
ਇਸਤਰੀ ਚੁਪ ਰਹੀ।
ਰਸਰੀਤਿਰਚ੍ਯੋ॥
(ਦੋਵੇਂ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੇ ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਲਗ ਗਏ
ਦੁਹੂੰਮੈਨਮਚ੍ਯੋ॥੨੯॥
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਦੋਹਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਾਮ (ਦਾ ਭਾਵ) ਮਚਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ॥੨੯॥
The king caught her arm and that woman kept silent, absorded and dyed with love, both became lustful.29.
ਬਹੁਭਾਤਿਭਜੀ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨਾਲ) ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ
ਨਿਸਲੌਨਤਜੀ॥
ਅਤੇ ਰਾਤ ਤਕ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਨਾ ਛਡਿਆ।
ਦੋਊਰੀਝਿਰਹੇ॥
ਦੋਵੇਂ (ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਉਤੇ) ਰੀਝੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
ਨਹੀਜਾਤਕਹੇ॥੩੦॥
(ਜਿਸ ਦਾ) ਕਥਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੩੦॥
The king enjoyed her in various ways till night both of them felt so much pleased with each other that is the not possible for me to narrate.30.
ਰਸਰੀਤਿਰਚ੍ਯੋ॥
(ਉਹ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਸ ਦੀ ਰੀਤ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ
ਕਲਕੇਲਮਚ੍ਯੋ॥
ਅਤੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਮਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਅਮਿਤਾਸਨਦੇ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ) ਅਮਿਤ ਆਸਨ ਦਿੱਤੇ
ਸੁਖਰਾਸਨਸੇ॥੩੧॥
ਜੋ ਸੁਖ ਦੀ ਰਾਸ (ਵਰਗੇ ਸਨ) ॥੩੧॥
Being absorbed and dyed with love, they kept engrossed in sexual enjoinment many types of postures.31.
ਲਲਤਾਸਨਲੈ॥
(ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ) ਲਲਿਤ ਆਸਨ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਆ।
ਬਿਬਧਾਸਨਕੈ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਅਨੇਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਸਨ ਕੀਤੇ।
ਲਲਨਾਰੁਲਲਾ॥
ਲਲਨਾ (ਪ੍ਰਿਯਾ) ਅਤੇ ਲਲਾ (ਪ੍ਰਿਯ) ਨੇ
ਕਰਿਕਾਮਕਲਾ॥੩੨॥
(ਬਹੁਤ) ਕਾਮ-ਕਲਾ ਕੀਤੀ ॥੩੨॥
They enjoyment the relish of various types of postures and in the way, both of them established their sexual sport.32.
ਕਰਿਕੇਲਉਠੀ॥
(ਸ਼ਕੁੰਤਲਾ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਾਲ) ਕੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ
ਮਧਿਪਰਨਕੁਟੀ॥
ਕੁਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਸੰਭੋਗ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਠੀ।
ਨ੍ਰਿਪਜਾਤਭਯੋ॥
ਰਾਜਾ ਉਥੋਂ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਤਿਹਗਰਭਰਹਿਯੋ॥੩੩॥
ਉਸ (ਸ਼ਕੁੰਤਲਾ) ਨੂੰ ਗਰਭ ਠਹਿਰ ਗਿਆ ॥੩੩॥
After that woman having enjoyed the sexual sport, came out of that cottage, the king went away and Shakuntala became pregnant.33.
ਦਿਨਕੈਕੁਗਏ॥
ਕੁਝ ਸਮਾਂ ਬੀਤ ਗਿਆ
ਤਿਨਿਭੂਰਜਏ॥
ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬੱਚੇ ('ਭੂਰ') ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਤਨਿਕਉਚਧਰੇ॥
(ਉਸ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੇ) ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਕਵਚ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ
ਸਸਿਸੋਭਹਰੇ॥੩੪॥
ਅਤੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਦਾ ਸੀ ॥੩੪॥
Many days passed, when she gave birth to a child, who was wearing armour on his body and was also the abductor of moon’s beauty.34.
ਜਨੁਜ੍ਵਾਲਦਵਾ॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਜੰਗਲ ਦੀ ਅਗਨੀ (ਦੀ ਲਾਟ ਹੋਵੇ)।
ਅਸਤੇਜਭਵਾ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਤੇਜ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
ਰਿਖਿਜੌਨਪਿਖੈ॥
ਜੋ ਵੀ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਸੀ,
ਚਿਤਚਉਕਚਕੈ॥੩੫॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਹੈਰਾਨੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ ॥੩੫॥
His splendour was like the forest-fire, whosoever saw him, he was wonder-struck.35.
ਸਿਸੁਸ੍ਰਯਾਨਭਯੋ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਬੱਚਾ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
ਕਰਿਸੰਗਲਯੋ॥
(ਤਦ ਸ਼ਕੁੰਤਲਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ।
ਚਲਿਆਵਤਹਾ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਉਥੇ ਚਲ ਕੇ ਆ ਗਈ
ਤਿਹਤਾਤਜਹਾ॥੩੬॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ ॥੩੬॥
When the child grew a bit older, she (the mother) took him there where his father was.36.
ਨ੍ਰਿਪਦੇਖਿਜਬੈ॥
ਜਦ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖਿਆ,
ਕਰਿਲਾਜਤਬੈ॥
ਤਦ ਬਹੁਤ ਲਜਾ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਯਹਮੋਨਸੂਅੰ॥
(ਅਤੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗਾ) ਇਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਤ੍ਰੀਅਕੌਨਤੂਅੰ॥੩੭॥
ਹੇ ਇਸਤਰੀ! ਤੂੰ ਕੌਣ ਹੈਂ? ॥੩੭॥
When the king saw her, he hesitated a little and asked her ”O” woman, who are you and who is this boy?”37.
ਤ੍ਰੀਯੋਬਾਚਰਾਜਾਪ੍ਰਤਿ॥
ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਕਿਹਾ:

ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਮੈਂ ਉਹੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਹਾਂ
ਤੁਮਜੌਨਭਜੀ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਤੂੰ ਭੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
ਮਧਿਪਰਨਕੁਟੀ॥
ਕੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੁਲੀ ਵਿਚ
ਤਹਕੇਲਠਟੀ॥੩੮॥
(ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਕਾਮ-ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਰਚਾਈ ਸੀ ॥੩੮॥
“O king! I am the same woman, with whom you had had sexual enjoyment in the forest-cottage.38.
ਤਬਬਾਚਦੀਯੋ॥
ਤਦ (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਬਚਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ,
ਅਬਭੂਲਿਗਯੋ॥
ਹੁਣ ਭੁਲ ਗਏ ਹੋ।
ਤਿਸਚਿਤਕਰੋ॥
ਉਸ (ਘਟਨਾ) ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੋ
ਮੁਹਿਰਾਜਬਰੋ॥੩੯॥
ਅਤੇ ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਿਆਹ ਲਵੋ ॥੩੯॥
“Then you had given your word now you have forgotten, O king! remember that promise and now own me.39.
ਤਬਕਾਹਿਭਜੋ॥
ਤਦ ਕਿਉਂ ਭੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ,
ਅਬਮੋਹਿਤਜੋ॥
ਜੇ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਦੇਣਾ ਸੀ।
ਇਹਪੂਤਤੁਅੰ॥
ਇਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ,
ਸੁਨੁਸਾਚਨ੍ਰਿਪੰ॥੪੦॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਸੁਣੋ, (ਮੈਂ) ਸੱਚ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੀ ਹਾਂ ॥੪੦॥
“If now you are forsaking me, then why did you own me at that time? O king! I am saying the truth that he is your son.40.
ਨਹਿਸ੍ਰਾਪਤੁਝੈ॥
ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ (ਮੈਂ) ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸ੍ਰਾਪ (ਦੇਵਾਂਗੀ)।
ਭਜਕੈਬਮੁਝੈ॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਭੋਗ ਕਰ ਕੇ,
ਅਬਤੋਨਤਜੋ॥
ਹੁਣ ਨਾ ਤਿਆਗੋ
ਨਹਿਲਾਜਲਜੋ॥੪੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਲਾਜ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦੇ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੋ ॥੪੧॥
“If you will not wed me, then I shall curse you, therefore now do not forsake me and do not feel shy.”41.
ਨ੍ਰਿਪਬਾਚਤ੍ਰੀਯਾਸੋ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ:

ਕੋਈਚਿਨਬਤਾਉ॥
ਕੋਈ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਦਸ,
ਕਿਤੋਬਾਤਦਿਖਾਉ॥
(ਜਾਂ) ਕੋਈ ਗੱਲ ਸਪਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਵਿਖਾ।
ਹਉਯੌਨਭਜੋ॥
ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਜਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ
ਨਹਿਨਾਰਿਲਜੋ॥੪੨॥
ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਹੇ ਇਸਤਰੀ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਲਜਾ ਹੈ ॥੪੨॥
You may tell me some sign or saying, otherwise I shall not wed You; O woman! Do not forsake your shyness 42.
ਇਕਮੁਦ੍ਰਕਲੈ॥
ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ
ਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੈਕਰਿਦੈ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ
ਇਹਦੇਖਿਭਲੈ॥
(ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ-) ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਖ ਲੌ।
