ਕਰੰਬਾਮਚਾਪਿਯੰਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਣੰਕਰਾਲੰ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਦੇ) ਖਬੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਧਨੁਸ਼ (ਅਤੇ ਸਜੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ) ਭਿਆਨਕ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਹੈ।
He holds the bow in His left hand and the terrible sword (in the right)
ਮਹਾਤੇਜਤੇਜੰਬਿਰਾਜੈਬਿਸਾਲੰ॥
ਤੇਜਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਮਹਾ ਤੇਜ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਬਿਰਾਜਮਾਨ ਹੈ।
He is the Supreme Effulgence of all lights and sits in His Great Glory
ਮਹਾਦਾੜਦਾੜੰਸੁਸੋਹੰਅਪਾਰੰ॥
(ਉਹ) ਦਾੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਮਹਾ ਦਾੜ੍ਹ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਅਪਾਰ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਭਾਇਮਾਨ ਹੈ
He, of Infinite Splendour, is the masher of of the boar-incarnation with great grinder tooth
ਜਿਨੈਚਰਬੀਯੰਜੀਵਜਗ੍ਯੰਹਜਾਰੰ॥੧੮॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਯੱਗਾਂ (ਜਾਂ ਜਗਤ) ਦੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਬ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੮॥
He crushed and devoured thousands of the creatures of the world. 18
ਡਮਾਡੰਡਡਉਰੂਸਿਤਾਸੇਤਛਤ੍ਰੰ॥
(ਮਹਾ ਕਾਲ ਦਾ) ਡਉਰੂ ਡੰਮ ਡੰਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਵਜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਕਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਚਿੱਟੇ ਰੰਗ ਦਾ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ।
The tabor (in the hand of Great Death (KAL) resounds and the black and white canopy swings
ਹਾਹਾਹੂਹਹਾਸੰਝਮਾਝਮਅਤ੍ਰੰ॥
(ਉਹ) ਹਾਹਾ-ਹੂਹੂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਹਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ (ਉਸਦੇ) ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਚਮਕ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
Loud laughter emanates from his mouth and the weapons (in his hands) glisten
ਮਹਾਘੋਰਸਬਦੰਬਜੇਸੰਖਐਸੰ॥
ਮਹਾ ਘੋਰ ਧੁੰਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਖ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਜਦੇ ਹਨ
His conch produces such a terrible sound
ਪ੍ਰਲੈਕਾਲਕੇਕਾਲਕੀਜ੍ਵਾਲਜੈਸੰ॥੧੯॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਰਲੋ ਦੀ ਮ੍ਰਿਤੂ ਦੀ ਜਵਾਲਾ ਭੜਕ ਰਹੀ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੯॥
That appears like the blazing fire of the Death on doomsday. 19
ਰਸਾਵਲਛੰਦ॥
ਰਸਾਵਲ ਛੰਦ:
RASAAVAL STANZA
ਘਣੰਘੰਟਬਾਜੰ॥
ਘਨਘੋਰ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਘੰਟੇ ਵਜਦੇ ਹਨ
Many gongs resound and hearing their sound,!
ਧੁਣੰਮੇਘਲਾਜੰ॥
(ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ) ਧੁੰਨ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਬਦਲ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ
The clouds feel ashamed!
ਭਯੋਸਦਏਵੰ॥
ਅਜਿਹਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
Such a sound is produced that it appears!
ਹੜਿਯੋਨੀਰਧੇਵੰ॥੨੦॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਬਾੜ੍ਹ ਆ ਗਈ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੨੦॥
Like the sound of the surging waves of the sea! 20
ਘੁਰੰਘੁੰਘਰੇਯੰ॥
ਘੁੰਘਰੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ,
The small bells of the feet jingle,!
ਧੁਣੰਨੇਵਰੇਯੰ॥
ਝਾਂਝਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
And the anklets rattle!
ਮਹਾਨਾਦਨਾਦੰ॥
ਅਜਿਹੇ ਨਾਦਾਂ ਵਿਚ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਮਹਾ ਨਾਦ ਦਾ-
Such sounds are peaceful sounds !
ਸੁਰੰਨਿਰਬਿਖਾਦੰ॥੨੧॥
ਸਵਰ ਦੁਖ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ (ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਵਿਚ ਰਖਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੨੧॥
Against the great resounding (of gongs)! 21
ਸਿਰੰਮਾਲਰਾਜੰ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਮਾਲਾ ਸ਼ੁਭਾਇਮਾਨ ਹੈ
The rosary of heads glorified his neck, !
ਲਖੇਰੁਦ੍ਰਲਾਜੰ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਰੁਦਰ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Seeing which the god Shiva feels abashed!
ਸੁਭੇਚਾਰਚਿਤ੍ਰੰ॥
(ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਸੁੰਦਰ ਮੂਰਤ ਸੋਭਦੀ ਹੈ
Such a beautiful image appears magnificent !
ਪਰਮੰਪਵਿਤ੍ਰੰ॥੨੨॥
ਜੋ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ ॥੨੨॥
And it is greatly holy! 22
ਮਹਾਗਰਜਗਰਜੰ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਮਹਾਨ ਗਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ
He produces the very loud roar, !
ਸੁਣੇਦੂਤਲਰਜੰ॥
ਯਮ-ਦੂਤ ਕੰਬਣ ਲਗ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Hearing which the messengers (of Yama) tremble!
ਸ੍ਰਵੰਸ੍ਰੋਣਸੋਹੰ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੱਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਈ ਨਰ-ਮੁੰਡ-ਮਾਲਾ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਚੋਂਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਲਹੂ (ਇਤਨਾ) ਸੋਭ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ
The blood oozes (from his rosary of skulls) glorifying his neck !
ਮਹਾਮਾਨਮੋਹੰ॥੨੩॥
ਕਿ ਮਹਾਮਾਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮੋਹ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੩॥
And it is fascinating his great honour! 23
ਭੁਜੰਗਪ੍ਰਯਾਤਛੰਦ॥
ਭੁਜੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਯਾਤ ਛੰਦ:
BHUJANG PRAYAAT STANZA!
ਸ੍ਰਿਜੇਸੇਤਜੰਜੇਰਜੰਉਤਭੁਜੇਵੰ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਸੇਤਜ, ਜੇਰਜ ਅਤੇ ਉਤਭੁਜ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਜਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
Thou hast created the Svetaja, Jeraju and Uddahhujja division of creation. !
ਰਚੇਅੰਡਜੰਖੰਡਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡਏਵੰ॥
ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੰਡਜ ਤੋਂ ਖੰਡਾਂ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮੰਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
Like this Thou hast created the Andaja division and also the regions and universes!
ਦਿਸਾਬਿਦਿਸਾਯੰਜਿਮੀਆਸਮਾਣੰ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੀ) ਦਿਸ਼ਾ, ਵਿਦਿਸ਼ਾ, ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਸਮਾਨ (ਬਣਾਏ ਹਨ)
Thou hast also created the directions, the indivcations, the earth and the sky. !
ਚਤੁਰਬੇਦਕਥ੍ਯੰਕੁਰਾਣੰਪੁਰਾਣੰ॥੨੪॥
ਅਤੇ ਚਾਰ ਵੇਦਾਂ, ਕੁਰਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਰਾਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਥਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੪॥
Thou hast also related the four Vedas, the Quran and the Puranas! 24
ਰਚੇਰੈਣਦਿਵਸੰਥਪੇਸੂਰਚੰਦ੍ਰੰ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਤੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
Thou hast created night and day and established the sun and moon. !
ਠਟੇਦਈਵਦਾਨੋਰਚੇਬੀਰਬਿੰਦ੍ਰੰ॥
ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੇ ਵੀਰ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ।
Thou hast created gods and demons of the mighty Death hath subdued all!
ਕਰੀਲੋਹਕਲਮੰਲਿਖ੍ਯੋਲੇਖਮਾਥੰ॥
ਲੋਹ-ਕਲਮ (ਤਕਦੀਰ ਦੀ ਤਖ਼ਤੀ) ਬਣਾਈ ਅਤੇ (ਸਭ ਦੇ) ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖਿਆ
Thou hast created the pen to write on the tablet and hast recorded the writ on the forehead. !
ਸਬੈਜੇਰਕੀਨੇਬਲੀਕਾਲਹਾਥੰ॥੨੫॥
ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲ ਦੇ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਹੱਥ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਅਧੀਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੫॥
The hand of the mighty Death hath subdued all! 25
ਕਈਮੇਟਿਡਾਰੇਉਸਾਰੇਬਨਾਏ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਕਈ ਮਿਟਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਉਸਾਰ ਕੇ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
He hath effaced many and then made (created) others.!
ਉਪਾਰੇਗੜੇਫੇਰਿਮੇਟੇਉਪਾਏ॥
(ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨੂੰ) ਉਖਾੜਿਆ, ਬਣਾਇਆ, ਫਿਰ ਮੇਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
He destroys the created ones and then creates after effacing!
ਕ੍ਰਿਆਕਾਲਜੂਕੀਕਿਨੂਨਪਛਾਨੀ॥
ਕਾਲ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਆ (ਕਾਰਵਾਈ) ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ।
None could comprehend the working of Death (KAL).!
ਘਨਿਯੋਪੈਬਿਹੈਹੈਘਨਿਯੋਪੈਬਿਹਾਨੀ॥੨੬॥
ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਬੀਤ ਚੁਕੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਬੀਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੨੬॥
Many have experienced it and many will experience it! 26
ਕਿਤੇਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਸੇਕੀਟਕੋਟੈਬਨਾਏ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਕਿਤਨੇ ਹੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਵਰਗੇ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਏ,
Somewhere He hath created millions of the servants like Krishna.!
ਕਿਤੇਰਾਮਸੇਮੇਟਿਡਾਰੇਉਪਾਏ॥
ਕਿਤਨੇ ਹੀ ਰਾਮ ਵਰਗੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਟਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ,
Somewhere He hath effaced and then created (many) like Rama!
ਮਹਾਦੀਨਕੇਤੇਪ੍ਰਿਥੀਮਾਝਿਹੂਏ॥
ਕਿਤਨੇ ਹੀ ਮੁਹੰਮਦ (ਮਹਾਦੀਨ) ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਹੋਏ,
Many Muhammads had been on the earth. !
ਸਮੈਆਪਨੀਆਪਨੀਅੰਤਿਮੂਏ॥੨੭॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਮੇਂ (ਵਿਚ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਾ ਗਏ ॥੨੭॥
They were born and then died in their own times! 27
ਜਿਤੇਅਉਲੀਆਅੰਬੀਆਹੋਇਬੀਤੇ॥
ਜਿਤਨੇ ਵੀ ਧਰਮ-ਆਗੂ ਅਥਵਾ ਪੈਗ਼ੰਬਰ ਹੋ ਚੁਕੇ ਹਨ,
All the Prophets and saints of the past were conquered by Death (KAL),!
ਤਿਤ੍ਯੋਕਾਲਜੀਤਾਨਤੇਕਾਲਜੀਤੇ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਸਭ ਨੂੰ) ਕਾਲ ਨੇ ਜਿਤਿਆ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਕਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਤ ਸਕੇ।
But none could conquer it (him)!
ਜਿਤੇਰਾਮਸੇਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਹੁਇਬਿਸਨੁਆਏ॥
ਜਿਤਨੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਦੇ (ਅਵਤਾਰ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ) ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਮ ਵਰਗੇ ਆਏ,
All the incarnations of Vishnu like Rama and Krishan were destroyed by KAL,!
ਤਿਤ੍ਯੋਕਾਲਖਾਪਿਓਨਤੇਕਾਲਘਾਏ॥੨੮॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਲ ਨੇ ਖਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਕਾਲ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ ॥੨੮॥
But they could not destroy him! 28
ਜਿਤੇਇੰਦ੍ਰਸੇਚੰਦ੍ਰਸੇਹੋਤਆਏ॥
ਜਿਤਨੇ ਵੀ ਇੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋਏ,
All the indras and Chandras (moons) who came into being were destroyed by KAL,!
ਤਿਤ੍ਯੋਕਾਲਖਾਪਾਨਤੇਕਾਲਿਘਾਏ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਲ ਨੇ ਖਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਪਰ ਕਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ।
But they could not destroy him!
