ਨਾਨਕਪਾਇਆਨਾਮਖਜਾਨਾ॥੪॥੨੭॥੭੮॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ॥੪॥੨੭॥੭੮॥
Nanak has obtained the treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||4||27||78||
ਆਸਾਮਹਲਾ੫॥
Aasaa, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਠਾਕੁਰਸਿਉਜਾਕੀਬਨਿਆਈ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਪੱਕੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
Those who are attuned to their Lord and Master
ਭੋਜਨਪੂਰਨਰਹੇਅਘਾਈ॥੧॥
ਅਮੁੱਕ ਨਾਮ-ਭੋਜਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਸਦਾ) ਰੱਜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
are satisfied and fulfilled with the perfect food. ||1||
ਕਛੂਨਥੋਰਾਹਰਿਭਗਤਨਕਉ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਪਾਸ ਇਤਨਾ ਅਮੁੱਕ ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦੀ ਥੁੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ,
The Lord's devotees never run short of anything.
ਖਾਤਖਰਚਤਬਿਲਛਤਦੇਵਨਕਉ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਉਹ ਉਸ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪ ਵਰਤਦੇ ਹਨ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੰਡਦੇ ਹਨ, ਆਪ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇਣ-ਜੋਗੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
They have plenty to eat, spend, enjoy and give. ||1||Pause||
ਜਾਕਾਧਨੀਅਗਮਗੁਸਾਈ॥
ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਖਸਮ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਮਾਲਕ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ (ਰਾਖਾ) ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
One who has the Unfathomable Lord of the Universe as his Master
ਮਾਨੁਖਕੀਕਹੁਕੇਤਚਲਾਈ॥੨॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਦੱਸ, ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੀਹ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ॥੨॥
- how can any mere mortal stand up to him? ||2||
ਜਾਕੀਸੇਵਾਦਸਅਸਟਸਿਧਾਈ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਅਠਾਰਾਂ (ਹੀ) ਕਰਾਮਾਤੀ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ,
One who is served by the eighteen supernatural powers of the Siddhas
ਪਲਕਦਿਸਟਿਤਾਕੀਲਾਗਹੁਪਾਈ॥੩॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਨਾਲ (ਇਹ ਸਭ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲੱਗੇ ਰਹੋ ॥੩॥
- grasp his feet, even for an instant. ||3||
ਜਾਕਉਦਇਆਕਰਹੁਮੇਰੇਸੁਆਮੀ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ,
That one, upon whom You have showered Your Mercy, O my Lord Master
ਕਹੁਨਾਨਕਨਾਹੀਤਿਨਕਾਮੀ॥੪॥੨੮॥੭੯॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਗੱਲੇ ਕੋਈ ਥੁੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ॥੪॥੨੮॥੭੯॥
- says Nanak, he does not lack anything. ||4||28||79||
ਆਸਾਮਹਲਾ੫॥
Aasaa, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਜਉਮੈਅਪੁਨਾਸਤਿਗੁਰੁਧਿਆਇਆ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਦੋਂ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ,
When I meditate on my True Guru,
ਤਬਮੇਰੈਮਨਿਮਹਾਸੁਖੁਪਾਇਆ॥੧॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਨੇ ਬੜਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
my mind becomes supremely peaceful. ||1||
ਮਿਟਿਗਈਗਣਤਬਿਨਾਸਿਉਸੰਸਾ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਹਮ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
The record of my account is erased, and my doubts are dispelled.
ਨਾਮਿਰਤੇਜਨਭਏਭਗਵੰਤਾ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Imbued with the Naam, the Name of the Lord, His humble servant is blessed with good fortune. ||1||Pause||
ਜਉਮੈਅਪੁਨਾਸਾਹਿਬੁਚੀਤਿ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ (ਵਸਾਇਆ ਹੈ)
When I remember my Lord and Master,
ਤਉਭਉਮਿਟਿਓਮੇਰੇਮੀਤ॥੨॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! ਤਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
my fears are dispelled, O my friend. ||2||
ਜਉਮੈਓਟਗਹੀਪ੍ਰਭਤੇਰੀ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਓਟ ਪਕੜੀ ਹੈ,
When I took to Your Protection, O God,
ਤਾਂਪੂਰਨਹੋਈਮਨਸਾਮੇਰੀ॥੩॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਮਨੋ-ਕਾਮਨਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
my desires were fulfilled. ||3||
ਦੇਖਿਚਲਿਤਮਨਿਭਏਦਿਲਾਸਾ॥
ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਵੇਖ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਬਣਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਤੂੰ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।)
Gazing upon the wonder of Your play, my mind has become encouraged.
ਨਾਨਕਦਾਸਤੇਰਾਭਰਵਾਸਾ॥੪॥੨੯॥੮੦॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ) ਦਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਭਰਵਾਸਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੨੯॥੮੦॥
Servant Nanak relies on You alone. ||4||29||80||
ਆਸਾਮਹਲਾ੫॥
Aasaa, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਅਨਦਿਨੁਮੂਸਾਲਾਜੁਟੁਕਾਈ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਤੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚ ਲਮਕਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈਂ, ਜਿਸ ਲੱਜ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਤੂੰ ਲਮਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈਂ ਉਸ) ਲੱਜ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਚੂਹਾ ਟੁੱਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
Night and day, the mouse of time gnaws away at the rope of life.
ਗਿਰਤਕੂਪਮਹਿਖਾਹਿਮਿਠਾਈ॥੧॥
(ਉਮਰ ਦੀ ਲੱਜ ਨੂੰ ਜਮ-ਚੂਹਾ ਟੁੱਕਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ) ਤੂੰ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚ ਡਿੱਗਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਭੀ ਮਠਿਆਈ ਖਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਮਾਣਨ ਵਿਚ ਰੁੱਝਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੈਂ) ॥੧॥
Falling into the well, the mortal eats the sweet treats of Maya. ||1||
ਸੋਚਤਸਾਚਤਰੈਨਿਬਿਹਾਨੀ॥
ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੋਚਾਂ ਸੋਚਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ (ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ) ਰਾਤ ਬੀਤ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
Thinking and planning, the night of the life is passing away.
ਅਨਿਕਰੰਗਮਾਇਆਕੇਚਿਤਵਤਕਬਹੂਨਸਿਮਰੈਸਾਰਿੰਗਪਾਨੀ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਹੀ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਰੰਗ ਤਮਾਸ਼ੇ ਸੋਚਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Thinking of the many pleasures of Maya, the mortal never remembers the Lord, the Sustainer of the earth. ||1||Pause||
ਦ੍ਰੁਮਕੀਛਾਇਆਨਿਹਚਲਗ੍ਰਿਹੁਬਾਂਧਿਆ॥
(ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸ ਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਤਨਾ ਮੂਰਖ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਰੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਛਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਕਾ ਘਰ ਮੰਨ ਬੈਠਦਾ ਹੈ,
Believing the shade of the tree to be permanent, he builds his house beneath it.
ਕਾਲਕੈਫਾਂਸਿਸਕਤਸਰੁਸਾਂਧਿਆ॥੨॥
ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਾਲ (ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ) ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਉਤੋਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿੱਖਾ (ਮੋਹ ਦਾ) ਤੀਰ ਕੱਸਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
But the noose of death is around his neck, and Shakti, the power of Maya, has aimed her arrows at him. ||2||
ਬਾਲੂਕਨਾਰਾਤਰੰਗਮੁਖਿਆਇਆ॥
(ਇਹ ਜਗਤ-ਵਾਸਾ, ਮਾਨੋ,) ਰੇਤ ਦਾ ਕੰਢਾ (ਦਰਿਆ ਦੀਆਂ) ਲਹਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਆਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ,
The sandy shore is being washed away by the waves,
ਸੋਥਾਨੁਮੂੜਿਨਿਹਚਲੁਕਰਿਪਾਇਆ॥੩॥
(ਪਰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸੇ ਹੋਏ) ਮੂਰਖ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਕਾ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
but the fool still believes that place to be permanent. ||3||
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿਜਪਿਓਹਰਿਰਾਇ॥
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਜਪਿਆ ਹੈ,
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, chant the Name of the Lord, the King.
ਨਾਨਕਜੀਵੈਹਰਿਗੁਣਗਾਇ॥੪॥੩੦॥੮੧॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩੦॥੮੧॥
Nanak lives by singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||4||30||81||

Aasaa, Fifth Mahalaa, Du-Tukas 9:
ਉਨਕੈਸੰਗਿਤੂਕਰਤੀਕੇਲ॥
ਹੇ ਕਾਂਇਆਂ! ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ (ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਚੋਜ-ਤਮਾਸ਼ੇ ਕਰਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈਂ,
With that, you are engaged in playful sport;
ਉਨਕੈਸੰਗਿਹਮਤੁਮਸੰਗਿਮੇਲ॥
ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰਾ ਮੇਲ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
with that, I am joined to you.
ਉਨੑਕੈਸੰਗਿਤੁਮਸਭੁਕੋਊਲੋਰੈ॥
ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
With that, everyone longs for you;
ਓਸੁਬਿਨਾਕੋਊਮੁਖੁਨਹੀਜੋਰੈ॥੧॥
ਪਰ ਉਸ ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾਂਦਾ ॥੧॥
without it, no one would even look at your face. ||1||
ਤੇਬੈਰਾਗੀਕਹਾਸਮਾਏ॥
ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਉਹ ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਉਪਰਾਮ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Where is that detached soul now contained?
ਤਿਸੁਬਿਨੁਤੁਹੀਦੁਹੇਰੀਰੀ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਹੇ ਕਾਂਇਆਂ! ਉਸ (ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ) ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਤੂੰ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Without it, you are miserable. ||1||Pause||
ਉਨੑਕੈਸੰਗਿਤੂਗ੍ਰਿਹਮਹਿਮਾਹਰਿ॥
ਹੇ ਕਾਂਇਆਂ! ਜਿਤਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਤੂੰ ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੈਂ ਤੂੰ ਸਿਆਣੀ (ਸਮਝੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।)
With that, you are the woman of the house;
ਉਨੑਕੈਸੰਗਿਤੂਹੋਈਹੈਜਾਹਰਿ॥
ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ (ਹਰ ਥਾਂ) ਤੂੰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈਂ,
with that, you are respected.
ਉਨੑਕੈਸੰਗਿਤੂਰਖੀਪਪੋਲਿ॥
ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਾਲ-ਪੋਸ ਕੇ ਰੱਖੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
With that, you are caressed;
ਓਸੁਬਿਨਾਤੂੰਛੁਟਕੀਰੋਲਿ॥੨॥
ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਛੁੱਟੜ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈਂ ਰੁਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈਂ ॥੨॥
without it, you are reduced to dust. ||2||
ਉਨੑਕੈਸੰਗਿਤੇਰਾਮਾਨੁਮਹਤੁ॥
ਹੇ ਕਾਂਇਆਂ! ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਆਦਰ-ਮਾਣ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
With that, you have honor and respect;
ਉਨੑਕੈਸੰਗਿਤੁਮਸਾਕੁਜਗਤੁ॥
ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ,
with that, you have relatives in the world.
ਉਨੑਕੈਸੰਗਿਤੇਰੀਸਭਬਿਧਿਥਾਟੀ॥
ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਾਕ-ਸਨਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇਰੀ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
With that, you are adorned in every way;
ਓਸੁਬਿਨਾਤੂੰਹੋਈਹੈਮਾਟੀ॥੩॥
ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਵਿਛੁੜ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈਂ ਤਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਵਿਚ ਰੁਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈਂ ॥੩॥
without it, you are reduced to dust. ||3||
ਓਹੁਬੈਰਾਗੀਮਰੈਨਜਾਇ॥
ਕਾਂਇਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਉਪਰਾਮ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਤੁਰ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ) ਨਾਹ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਾਹ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਹੈ।
That detached soul is neither born, nor dies.
ਹੁਕਮੇਬਾਧਾਕਾਰਕਮਾਇ॥
(ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ) ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਬੱਝਾ ਹੋਇਆ (ਕਾਂਇਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਆਉਣ ਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਇਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ) ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
It acts according to the Command of the Lord's Will.
ਜੋੜਿਵਿਛੋੜੇਨਾਨਕਥਾਪਿ॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਕੀਹ ਵੱਸ? ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਰੀਰ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ (ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਕਾਂਇਆਂ ਦਾ ਜੋੜ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ) ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਫਿਰ ਵਿਛੋੜ ਵੀ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, having fashioned the body, the Lord unites the soul with it, and separates them again;
ਅਪਨੀਕੁਦਰਤਿਜਾਣੈਆਪਿ॥੪॥੩੧॥੮੨॥
(ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਕਾਂਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋੜਨ ਵਿਛੋੜਨ ਦੀ) ਆਪਣੀ ਅਜਬ ਖੇਡ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩੧॥੮੨॥
He alone knows His All-powerful creative nature. ||4||31||82||
