ਕਰੁਣਾਨਿਧਾਨਕਾਮਲਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ॥
(ਉਹ) ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ, ਪੂਰਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੂ ਹੈ,
He is treasure of sympathy and perfectly Merciful.
ਦੁਖਦੋਖਹਰਤਦਾਤਾਦਿਆਲ॥
ਦੁਖ-ਦੋਖ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਦਿਆਲੂ ਦਾਤਾ ਹੈ,
He the Donor and Merciful Lord removes all sufferings and blemishes.
ਅੰਜਨਬਿਹੀਨਅਨਭੰਜਨਾਥ॥
ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਅਟੁੱਟ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹੈ।
He is without the impact of maya and is an Infrangible.
ਜਲਥਲਪ੍ਰਭਾਉਸਰਬਤ੍ਰਸਾਥ॥੬॥੨੩੬॥
(ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਜਲ-ਥਲ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਨਾਲ (ਰਮਣ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ) ਹੈ ॥੬॥੨੩੬॥
Lord, His Glory pervades in water and on land and is the companion of all.6.236.
ਜਿਹਜਾਤਪਾਤਨਹੀਭੇਦਭਰਮ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਤਿ, ਬਰਾਦਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਰਮ ਭੇਦ ਨਹੀਂ;
He is without caste, lineage, contrast and illusion,
ਜਿਹਰੰਗਰੂਪਨਹੀਏਕਧਰਮ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਰੰਗਰੂ ਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕੋ ਹੀ ਧਰਮ (ਕਰਤੱਵ) ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
He is without colour, form and special religious discipline.
ਜਿਹਸਤ੍ਰਮਿਤ੍ਰਦੋਊਏਕਸਾਰ॥
ਜਿਸ ਲਈ ਵੈਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਤਰ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਇਕ-ਸਮਾਨ ਹਨ।
For Him the enemies and friends are the same.
ਅੱਛੈਸਰੂਪਅਬਿਚਲਅਪਾਰ॥੭॥੨੩੭॥
(ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਸਰੂਪ ਨਾਸ਼-ਰਹਿਤ, ਅਪਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਥਿਰ ਹੈ ॥੭॥੨੩੭॥
His invincible form is Everlasting and Infinite. 7.237.
ਜਾਨੀਨਜਾਇਜਿਹਰੂਪਰੇਖ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਰੂਪ-ਰੇਖਾ ਜਾਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ।
His form and mark cannot be known.
ਕਹਿਬਾਸਤਾਸਕਹਿਕਉਨਭੇਖ॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਵਾਸ ਕਿਥੇ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਭੇਸ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਹੈ,
Where doth He live? And what is His garb?
ਕਹਿਨਾਮਤਾਸਹੈਕਵਨਜਾਤ॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਾਤਿ ਕੀ ਹੈ? (ਉਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ)
What is His Name? and what is His caste?
ਜਿਹਸਤ੍ਰਮਿਤ੍ਰਨਹੀਪੁਤ੍ਰਭ੍ਰਾਤ॥੮॥੨੩੮॥
ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੈਰੀ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਮਿਤਰ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਹੈ ॥੮॥੨੩੮॥
He is without any enemy, friend, son and brother. 8.238.
ਕਰੁਣਾਨਿਧਾਨਕਾਰਣਸਰੂਪ॥
(ਉਹ) ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ (ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ) ਕਾਰਨ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈ;
He is the treasure of Mercy and the cause of all causes.
ਜਿਹਚਕ੍ਰਚਿਹਨਨਹੀਰੰਗਰੂਪ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ-ਚੱਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਰੂਪ-ਰੰਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ;
He hath no mark, sign, colour and form.
ਜਿਹਖੇਦਭੇਦਨਹੀਕਰਮਕਾਲ॥
ਜੋ ਖੇਦ, ਭੇਦ, ਕਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਮ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ;
He is without suffering, action and death.
ਸਭਜੀਵਜੰਤਕੀਕਰਤਪਾਲ॥੯॥੨੩੯॥
ਜੋ ਸਭ ਜੀਵ-ਜੰਤੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੯॥੨੩੯॥
He is the Sustainer of all the beings and creatures. 9.239.
ਉਰਧੰਬਿਰਹਤਸੁਧੰਸਰੂਪ॥
ਜੋ ਉਚਾਣ-ਨੀਵਾਣ (ਵਾਧ-ਘਾਟ) ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਧ (ਕਾਮਲ) ਸਰੂਪ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ;
He is the loftiest, biggest and Perfect Entity.
ਬੁੱਧੰਅਪਾਲਜੁੱਧੰਅਨੂਪ॥
(ਉਹ) ਅਪਾਰ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੂਪ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ;
His intellect is boundless and is unique in warfare.
ਜਿਹਰੂਪਰੇਖਨਹੀਰੰਗਰਾਗ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਰੂਪ, ਰੇਖਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਗ-ਰੰਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ;
He is without form, line, colour and affection.
ਅਨਛਿੱਜਤੇਜਅਨਭਿੱਜਅਦਾਗ॥੧੦॥੨੪੦॥
(ਜਿਸ ਦਾ) ਤੇਜ ਨਾ ਛਿੱਜਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਕਲੰਕਿਤ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੦॥੨੪੦॥
His Glory is Unassailable, Unappeasable and stainless. 10.240.
ਜਲਥਲਮਹੀਪਬਨਤਨਦੁਰੰਤ॥
(ਉਹ) ਜਲ-ਥਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬੇਅੰਤ (ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਪਸਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ);
He is the king of waters and lands; He, the Infinite Lord pervades the forests and the blades of grass.
ਜਿਹਨੇਤਿਨੇਤਿਨਿਸਦਿਨਉਚਰੰਤ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਤ-ਦਿਨ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਕਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
He is called 'Neti, Neti' (Not this, Not this…Infinite) night and day.
ਪਾਇਓਨਜਾਇਜਿਹਪੈਰਪਾਰ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੰਢਾ ('ਪਾਰ') ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
His limits cannot be known.
ਦੀਨਾਨਦੋਖਦਹਿਤਾਉਦਾਰ॥੧੧॥੨੪੧॥
ਉਹ ਉਦਾਰ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਾਲਾ ਦੀਨਾਂ-ਦੁਖੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਦੋਖ ਹਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੧॥੨੪੧॥
He, the Generous Lord, burns the blemishes of the lowly.11.241.
ਕਈਕੋਟਇੰਦ੍ਰਜਿਹਪਾਨਿਹਾਰ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਇੰਦਰ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਦੇ ਹਨ (ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ);
Millions of Indras are at His service.
ਕਈਕੋਟਰੁੱਦ੍ਰਜੁਗੀਆਦੁਆਰ॥
ਕਈ ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਦਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ;
Millions of the Yogi Rudras (Shivas stand at His Gate.
ਕਈਬੇਦਬਿਆਸਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਅਨੰਤ॥
ਕਈ ਵੇਦਵਿਆਸ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ
Many Ved Vyas and innumerable Brahmas
ਜਿਹਨੇਤਨੇਤਨਿਸਦਿਨਉਚਰੰਤ॥੧੨॥੨੪੨॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਤ ਦਿਨ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਬੇਅੰਤ (ਕਹਿ ਕੇ) ਉਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੨॥੨੪੨॥
utter the words 'Neti, Neti' about Him, night and day. 12.242.

ਦੀਨਨਕੀਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਕਰੈਨਿਤਸੰਤਉਬਾਰਗ਼ਨੀਮਨਗਾਰੈ॥
(ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਦੀਨਾਂ-ਦੁਖੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਬਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਤਿਆਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
He always Sustains the Lowly, protects the saints and destroys the enemies.
ਪੱਛਪਸ਼ੂਨਗਨਾਗਨਰਾਧਿਪਸਰਬਸਮੈਸਭਕੌਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਰੈ॥
ਪੰਛੀਆਂ, ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ, ਪਹਾੜਾਂ, ਸੱਪਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਵੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
At all times he Sustains all, animals, birds, mountains (or trees), serpents and men (kings of men).
ਪੋਖਤਹੈਜਲਮੈਥਲਮੈਪਲਮੈਕਲਿਕੇਨਹੀਂਕਰਮਬਿਚਾਰੈ॥
(ਜੋ) ਜਲ-ਥਲ (ਵਿਚਲੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ) ਦਾ ਪਲ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਪਾਲਣ ਪੋਸ਼ਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਲਿ-ਕਾਲ (ਵਿਚ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦਾ) ਕਰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਦਾ।
He Sustains in an instant all the beings living in water and on land and doth not ponder over their actions.
ਦੀਨਦਇਆਲਦਇਆਨਿਧਿਦੋਖਨਦੇਖਤਹੈਪਰਦੇਤਨਹਾਰੈ॥੧॥੨੪੩॥
ਉਹ ਦੀਨ-ਦਿਆਲ, ਦਇਆ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ, ਦੋਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਕੀ ਵੀ ਦੇਣੋ ਸੰਕੋਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ॥੧॥੨੪੩॥
The Merciful Lord of the Lowly and the treasure of Mercy sees their blemishes, but doth not fail in His Bounty. 1.243.
ਦਾਹਤਹੈਦੁਖਦੋਖਨਕੌਦਲਦੁੱਜਨਕੇਪਲਮੈਦਲਿਡਾਰੈ॥
ਦੁਖਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਰਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਲ ਭਰ ਵਿਚ ਦਲਮਲ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
He burns the sufferings and blemishes and in an instant mashes the forces of the vicious people.
ਖੰਡਅਖੰਡਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਪਹਾਰਨਪੂਰਨਪ੍ਰੇਮਕੀਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਸੰਭਾਰੈ॥
ਜੋ ਨਾ ਖੰਡੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ, ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਤੇਜ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਕਾਮ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
He even destroys them who are mighty and Glorious and assail the unassailable and responds the devotion of perfect love.
ਪਾਰੁਨਪਾਇਸਕੈਪਦਮਾਪਤਿਬੇਦਕਤੇਬਅਭੇਦਉਚਾਰੈ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਦਾ) ਪਾਰ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਦ-ਕਤੇਬ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਅਭੇਦ (ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਰਹੱਸ ਨਾ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ) ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Even Vishnu cannot know His end and the Vedas and Katebs (Semitic Scriptures) call Him Indiscriminate.
ਰੋਜ਼ੀਹੀਰਾਜ਼ਬਿਲੋਕਤਰਾਜ਼ਕਰੋਖਰੂਹਾਨਕੀਰੋਜ਼ੀਨਟਾਰੈ॥੨॥੨੪੪॥
ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਗੁਪਤ ਭੇਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੋਜ਼ੀ ਬੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ॥੨॥੨੪੪॥
The Provider-Lord always sees our secrets, even then in anger He doth not stop His munificence.2.244.
ਕੀਟਪਤੰਗਕੁਰੰਗਭੁਜੰਗਮਭੂਤਭਵਿੱਖਭਵਾਨਬਨਾਏ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਨੇ) ਕੀੜੇ, ਪਤੰਗੇ, ਹਿਰਨ, ਸੱਪ, ਭੂਤਕਾਲ, ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਕਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਭਵਿਸ਼ਤ ਕਾਲ ਬਣਾਏ ਹਨ;
He Created in the past, creates in the present and shall create in the future the beings including insects, moths, deer and snakes.
ਦੇਵਅਦੇਵਖਪੇਅਹੰਮੇਵਨਭੇਵਲਖਿਓਭ੍ਰਮਸਿਉਭਰਮਾਏ॥
ਦੇਵਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਕਾਰਨ ਖੱਪ ਗਏ, (ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਉਸਦਾ) ਭੇਦ ਨਾ ਪਾਇਆ, (ਉਹ) ਭਰਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਭਰਮਦੇ ਰਹੇ।
The goods and demons have been consumed in ego, but could not know the mystery of the Lord, being engrossed in delusion.
ਬੇਦਪੁਰਾਨਕਤੇਬਕੁਰਾਨਹਸੇਬਥਕੇਕਰਿਹਾਥਿਨਆਏ॥
ਵੇਦ, ਪੁਰਾਣ, ਕਤੇਬ, ਕੁਰਾਨ ਆਦਿ (ਧਰਮ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ) ਬਹੁਤ ਗਿਣਤੀ-ਮਿਣਤੀ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ (ਹਿਸਾਬ ਲਗਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ) ਹਾਰ ਗਈਆਂ, ਪਰ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਹੱਥ ਕੁਝ ਨਾ ਆਇਆ।
The Vedas, Puranas, Katebs and the Quran have tired of giving His account, but the Lord could not be comprehended.
ਪੂਰਨਪ੍ਰੇਮਪ੍ਰਭਾਉਬਿਨਾਪਤਿਸਿਉਕਿਨਸ੍ਰੀਪਦਮਾਪਤਿਪਾਏ॥੩॥੨੪੫॥
ਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਦਸੋ) ਕਿਸ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਸ਼ਠਾ ਸਹਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥੨੪੫॥
Without the impact of perfect love, who hath realized Lord-God with grace? 3.245.
ਆਦਿਅਨੰਤਅਗਾਧਅਦ੍ਵੈਖਸੁਭੂਤਭਵਿੱਖਭਵਾਨਅਭੈਹੈ॥
(ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਸਭ ਦਾ ਆਦਿ, ਅਨੰਤ, ਅਗਾਧ, ਦ੍ਵੈਸ਼-ਰਹਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਭੂਤ, ਭਵਿਖਤ ਅਤੇ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਕਾਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭੈ-ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ।
The Primal, Infinite, Unfathomable Lord is without malice and is fearless in the past, present and future.
ਅੰਤਬਿਹੀਨਅਨਾਤਮਆਪਅਦਾਗਅਦੋਖਅਛਿੱਦ੍ਰਅਛੈਹੈ॥
(ਉਹ) ਅੰਤ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ, ਖ਼ੁਦ ਅਨਾਤਮ, ਦਾਗ਼ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ, ਦੋਖ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ, ਛਿਦ੍ਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੈ।
He is endless, Himself Selfless, stainless, blemishless, flawless and invincible.
ਲੋਗਨਕੇਕਰਤਾਹਰਤਾਜਲਮੈਥਲਮੈਭਰਤਾਪ੍ਰਭਵੈਹੈ॥
(ਉਹ) ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਵੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਤਾ ਵੀ, ਜਲ-ਥਲ ਵਿਚ (ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ) ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਉਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੈ।
He is the Creator and Destroyer of all in water and on land and also their Sustainer-Lord.
ਦੀਨਦਇਆਲਦਇਆਕਰਸ੍ਰੀਪਤਿਸੁੰਦਰਸ੍ਰੀਪਦਮਾਪਤਿਏਹੈ॥੪॥੨੪੬॥
ਦੀਨ-ਦਿਆਲ, ਦਇਆ ਦੀ ਖਾਣ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੨੪੬॥
He, the Lord of maya, is Compassionate to the Lowly, source of Mercy and most beautiful.4.246.
ਕਾਮਨਕ੍ਰੋਧਨਲੋਭਨਮੋਹਨਰੋਗਨਸੋਗਨਭੋਗਨਭੈਹੈ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ) ਕਾਮ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧ, ਲੋਭ, ਮੋਹ, ਰੋਗ, ਸੋਗ, ਭੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਭੈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ,
He is without lust, anger, greed, attachment, ailment, sorrow, enjoyment and fear.
ਦੇਹਬਿਹੀਨਸਨੇਹਸਭੋਤਨੁਨੇਹਬਿਰਕਤਅਗੇਹਅਛੈਹੈ॥
(ਜੋ) ਦੇਹਰਹਿਤ, ਸਭ ਨਾਲ ਸਨੇਹ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ, ਮੋਹ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਰਕਤ, ਘਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ।
He is body-less, loving everybody but without worldly attachment, invincible and cannot be held in grasp.
ਜਾਨਕੌਦੇਤਅਜਾਨਕੌਦੇਤਜ਼ਮੀਨਕੌਦੇਤਜ਼ਮਾਨਕੌਦੈਹੈ॥
(ਜੋ) ਚੇਤਨ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੜ ਵਸਤੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜ਼ਮੀਨ (ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ) ਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਕਾਸ਼ (ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ) ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
He provides sustenance to all animate and inanimate beings and all those living on the earth and in the sky.
ਕਾਹੇਕਉਡੋਲਤਹੈਂਤੁਮਰੀਸੁਧਿਸੁੰਦਰਸ੍ਰੀਪਦਮਾਪਤਿਲੈਹੈ॥੫॥੨੪੭॥
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ! ਤੂੰ) ਕਿਉਂ ਡੋਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇਰੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਲੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੫॥੨੪੭॥
Why dost thou waver, O creature! The beautiful Lord of maya will take care of thee. 5.247.
ਰੋਗਨਤੇਅਰਸੋਗਨਤੇਜਲਜੋਗਨਤੇਬਹੁਭਾਂਤਿਬਚਾਵੈ॥
(ਉਹ) ਰੋਗਾਂ ਤੋਂ, ਸੋਗਾਂ ਤੋਂ, ਜਲ ਦੇ ਜੀਵ-ਜੰਤੂਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਨੇਕ ਢੰਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
He protects in many blows, but none doth inflict thy body.
ਸੱਤ੍ਰੁਅਨੇਕਚਲਾਵਤਘਾਵਤਊਤਨਏਕਨਲਾਗਨਪਾਵੈ॥
ਵੈਰੀ ਅਨੇਕ ਵਾਰ (ਹਥਿਆਰ) ਚਲਾਵੇ, (ਪਰ) ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਇਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗ ਸਕਦਾ।
The enemy strikes many blows, but none doth inflict thy body.
ਰਾਖਤਹੈਅਪਨੋਕਰਦੈਕਰਿਪਾਪਸੰਬੂਹਨਭੇਟਨਪਾਵੈ॥
(ਉਹ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ) ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਰਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਉਸ ਤਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ।
When the Lord protects with his own hands, but none of the sins even comes near thee.
ਔਰਕੀਬਾਤਕਹਾਕਹਤੋਸੌਸੁਪੇਟਹੀਕੇਪਟਬੀਚਿਬਚਾਵੈ॥੬॥੨੪੮॥
(ਹੇ ਜਿਗਿਆਸੂ!) ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕੀ ਕਹਾਂ, ਉਹ (ਮਾਤਾ ਦੇ) ਪੇਟ ਵਿਚ ਗਰਭ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵੀ ਬਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੬॥੨੪੮॥
What else should I say unto you, He protects (the infant) even in the membranes of the womb.6.248.
ਜੱਛਭੁਜੰਗਸੁਦਾਨਵਦੇਵਅਭੇਵਤੁਮੈਸਭਹੀਕਰਿਧਿਆਵੈਂ॥
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਯਕਸ਼, ਸੱਪ, ਦੈਂਤ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਆਦਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਭੇਦ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਧਿਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
The Yakshas, serpents, demons and gods meditate on Thee considering Thee as Indiscriminant.
ਭੂਮਿਅਕਾਸਪਤਾਲਰਸਾਤਲਜੱਛਭੁਜੰਗਸਭੈਸਿਰਨਿਆਵੈਂ॥
ਭੂਮੀ, ਆਕਾਸ਼, ਪਾਤਾਲ, ਰਸਾਤਲ ਆਦਿ (ਵਿਚ ਵਸਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ) ਅਤੇ ਯਕਸ਼, ਸੱਪ ਆਦਿ ਸਾਰੇ (ਤੈਨੂੰ) ਸੀਸ ਨਿਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
The beings of the earth, Yakshas of the sky and the serpents of the nether-world bow their heads before thee.
ਪਾਇਸਕੈਨਹੀਪਾਰਪ੍ਰਭਾਹੂਕੋਨੇਤਹੀਨੇਤਹਬੇਦਬਤਾਵੈਂ॥
ਕੋਈ ਵੀ (ਤੇਰੀ) ਪ੍ਰਭੁਤਾ ਦਾ ਪਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਦ ਵੀ (ਤੈਨੂੰ) ਬੇਅੰਤ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
None could comprehend the limits of Thy Glory and even the Vedas declare Thee as 'Neti, Neti'
ਖੋਜਿਥਕੇਸਭਿਹੀਖੁਜੀਆਸੁਰਹਾਰਿਪਰੇਹਰਿਹਾਥਿਨਆਵੈਂ॥੭॥੨੪੯॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਖੋਜੀ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਖੋਜ ਕਰਦੇ ਥਕ ਗਏ, ਹਾਰ ਗਏ, (ਪਰ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਵੀ (ਹੱਥ) ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ ॥੭॥੨੪੯॥
All the searchers have got tired in their search and none of them could realize the Lord. 7.249.
ਨਾਰਦਸੇਚਤੁਰਾਨਨਸੇਰੁਮਨਾਰਿਖਸੇਸਭਹੂੰਮਿਲਿਗਾਇਓ॥
ਨਾਰਦ ਵਰਗਿਆਂ, ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਜਿਹਿਆਂ, ਰੋਮਹਰਸ਼ਣ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵਰਗਿਆਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਯਸ਼ ਗਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
Narada, Brahma and the sage Rumna all have together sung Thy Praises.
ਬੇਦਕਤੇਬਨਭੇਦਲਖਿਓਸਭਿਹਾਰਿਪਰੇਹਰਿਹਾਥਿਨਆਇਓ॥
ਵੇਦਾਂ, ਕਤੇਬਾਂ (ਦੇ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ। ਸਭ (ਯਤਨ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ) ਹਾਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਵੀ ਹੱਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ।
The Vedas and Katebs could not know His sectet; all have got tired, but the Lord could not be realised.
ਪਾਇਸਕੈਨਹੀਪਾਰਉਮਾਪਤਿਸਿੱਧਸਨਾਥਸਨੰਤਨਧਿਆਇਓ॥
(ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਅੰਤ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਿਆ, ਸਿੱਧਾਂ, ਨਾਥਾਂ ਸਹਿਤ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ-ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
Shiva also could not know His limits; the adepts (Siddhas) alongwith Naths and Sanak etc. meditated upon Him.
ਧਿਆਨਧਰੋਤਿਹਕੋਮਨਮੈਂਜਿਹਕੋਅਮਿਤੋਜਿਸਭੈਜਗੁਛਾਇਓ॥੮॥੨੫੦॥
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ!) ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰੋ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਅਮਿਤ ਤੇਜ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਪਸਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੮॥੨੫੦॥
Concentrate upon Him in thy mind, whose Unlimited Glory is spread in all the world.8.250.
ਬੇਦਪੁਰਾਨਕਤੇਬਕੁਰਾਨਅਭੇਦਨ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਸਭੈਪਚਿਹਾਰੇ॥
ਵੇਦ, ਪੁਰਾਣ, ਕਤੇਬ, ਕੁਰਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਾ ਭੇਦੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਯਤਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਪਰ) ਥਕ ਗਏ।
The Vedas, Puranas, Katebs and the Quran and kings…all are tired and greatly afflicted by not knowing the Lord's mystery.
ਭੇਦਨਪਾਇਸਕਿਓਅਨਭੇਦਕੋਖੇਦਤਹੈਂਅਨਛੇਦਪੁਕਾਰੇ॥
ਉਸ ਅਭੇਦ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭੇਦ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ, ਉਹ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਪਰਮ ਸੱਤਾ ਨੂੰ) 'ਅਛੇਦ' (ਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
They could not comprehend the mystery of the Indis-criminate Lord, being greatly aggrieved, they recite Name of the Unassailable Lord.
ਰਾਗਨਰੂਪਨਰੇਖਨਰੰਗਨਸਾਕਨਸੋਗਨਸੰਗਿਤਿਹਾਰੇ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਦਾ) ਨਾ ਰਾਗ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਰੂਪ-ਰੇਖਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਰੰਗ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਸਾਕ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਸੋਗ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਗ ਹੈ।
The Lord who is without affection, form, mark, colour, relative, and sorrow, abides with thee.
ਆਦਿਅਨਾਦਿਅਗਾਧਅਭੇਖਅਦ੍ਵੈਖਜਪਿਓਤਿਨਹੀਕੁਲਤਾਰੇ॥੯॥੨੫੧॥
(ਜੋ) ਆਦਿ, ਅਨਾਦਿ, ਅਗਾਧ, ਅਭੇਖ, ਅਦ੍ਵੈਸ਼ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਨੂੰ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੁਲ ਹੀ ਤਾਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੯॥੨੫੧॥
Those who have remembered that Primal, beginningless, guiseless and blemishless Lord, they have ferried across their whole clan.9.251
ਤੀਰਥਕੋਟਿਕੀਏਇਸਨਾਨਦੀਏਬਹੁਦਾਨਮਹਾਬ੍ਰਤਧਾਰੇ॥
(ਕੋਈ ਜਿਗਿਆਸੂ ਭਾਵੇਂ) ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰੇ, ਬਹੁਤ ਦਾਨ ਦੇਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਬ੍ਰਤ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰੇ;
Having taken bath at millions of pilgrim-stations, having given many gifts in charity and giving observed important fasts.
ਦੇਸਫਿਰਿਓਕਰਿਭੇਸਤਪੋਧਨਕੇਸਧਰੇਨਮਿਲੇਹਰਿਪਿਆਰੇ॥
ਤਪਸਵੀਆਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਭੇਖ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਦੇਸ-ਦੇਸਾਂਤਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਰਹੇ, ਕੇਸ (ਜਟਾਵਾਂ) ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਲਏ, (ਪਰ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ) ਪਿਆਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ;
Having wandered in the garb of an ascetic in many countries and having worn matted hair, the beloved Lord could not be realised.
ਆਸਨਕੋਟਿਕਰੇਅਸਟਾਂਗਧਰੇਬਹੁਨਿਆਸਕਰੇਮੁਖਕਾਰੇ॥
ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਆਸਨ ਕਰੇ, ਜੋਗ ਦੇ ਅੱਠ ਅੰਗ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰੇ, ਬਹੁਤ ਤਿਆਗ ਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ (ਦੀਵਾਨੇ ਸਾਧੂਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ) ਮੂੰਹ ਕਾਲੇ ਕਰੇ;
Adopting millions of postures and observing the eight steps of Yoga, touching the limbs while reciting the mantras and blackening the face.
ਦੀਨਦਇਆਲਅਕਾਲਭਜੇਬਿਨੁਅੰਤਕੌਅੰਤਕੇਧਾਮਸਿਧਾਰੇ॥੧੦॥੨੫੨॥
(ਪਰ) ਦੀਨ-ਦਿਆਲ, ਅਕਾਲ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਭਜੇ ਬਿਨਾ (ਉਹ) ਅੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਯਮਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੦॥੨੫੨॥
But without the remembrance of the Non-temporal and Merciful Lord of the lowly, one will ultimately go to the abode of Yama. 10.252.

ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਤੂੰ) ਅਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਨੂੰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ, ਛਤ੍ਰ-ਧਾਰੀਆਂ (ਰਾਜਿਆਂ) ਨੂੰ ਛੱਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਬਲ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਲ੍ਹਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ।
He operates the weapons, beguiles the sovereigns of the earth having canopies over their heads and mashes the mighty enemies.
ਦਾਨਕੇਦਿਵੱਯਾਮਹਾਮਾਨਕੇਬਢੱਯਾਅਵਸਾਨਕੇਦਿਵੱਯਾਹੈਂਕਟੱਯਾਜਮਜਾਲਹੈਂ॥
(ਤੂੰ) ਦਾਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾਣ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਹੋਸ਼-ਹਵਾਸ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਲ ਕੱਟਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ।
He is the Donor of gifts, He causes to enhance the great honour, He is the giver of encouragement for greater effort and is the cutter of the snare of death.
