ਕਈ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸਾਂਗ ਵਾਹ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੂਲ ਅਤੇ ਨੇਜ਼ੇ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਸਨ।
ਰੁਲੰਤਰੁੰਡਮੁੰਡਯੰਝਲੰਤਝਾਲਅਝਲੰ॥੩੧੫॥
ਸੂਰਮੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਨਾ ਝੱਲੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਝਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਝਲਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਰੁੰਡ-ਮੁੰਡ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਰੁਲਦੇ ਸਨ ॥੩੧੫॥
The daggers and spears are producing rustling sound and the chopped dead heads, having rolled in dust, are scattered here and there.315.
ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰਚਿਤ੍ਰਤੰਸਰੰਬਹੰਤਦਾਰੁਣੰਰਣੰ॥
ਵਿਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਚਿਤ੍ਰਕਾਰੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੀਰ ਉਸ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਲਦੇ ਸਨ।
ਢਲੰਤਢਾਲਅਢਲੰਢੁਲੰਤਚਾਰੁਚਾਮਰੰ॥
ਕਈ ਢਾਲ ਦੇ ਸਹਾਰੇ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਰੋਂ) ਲੰਘਣ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। (ਜੋ ਇਉਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ) ਮਾਨੋ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਚੌਰ ਝੁੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ।

(ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ) ਗਦਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜੋ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਉਠਦਾ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ॥੩੧੬॥
The armies are being mashed and the earth is getting hot (because of the hot blood), the dreadful sound is being heard continuously form all four sides.316.
ਭਰੰਤਪਤ੍ਰਚਉਸਠੀਕਿਲੰਕਖੇਚਰੀਕਰੰ॥
ਚੌਂਸਠ ਜੋਗਣੀਆਂ ਖੱਪਰ ਭਰਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਭੂਤਨੀਆਂ ਕਿਲਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਮਾਰਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
ਫਿਰੰਤਹੂਰਪੂਰਯੰਬਰੰਤਦੁਧਰੰਨਰੰ॥
ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਹੂਰਾਂ ਫਿਰਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਜੋ ਸੂਰਵੀਰ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਰਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
Sixty-four Yoginis, shouting loudly, are filling their pots with colour and the heavenly damsels are moving on the earth in order to wed the great horses
ਸਨਧਬਧਗੋਧਯੰਸੁਸੋਭਅੰਗੁਲੰਤ੍ਰਿਣੰ॥
ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਧਾਰੀ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੇ (ਹੱਥਾਂ ਉਤੇ) ਗੋਹ ਦੇ ਚੰਮ ਦੇ ਦਸਤਾਨੇ ਸ਼ੋਭ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
ਡਕੰਤਡਾਕਣੀਭ੍ਰਮੰਭਖੰਤਆਮਿਖੰਰਣੰ॥੩੧੭॥
ਡਾਕਣੀਆਂ ਡਕਾਰਦੀਆਂ ਫਿਰਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ (ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਦਾ) ਮਾਸ ਖਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ ॥੩੧੭॥
The heroes, bedecking themselves are wearing armours on their hands and the vampires are roaring in the battlefield, eating flesh and bellowing.317.
ਕਿਲੰਕਦੇਵੀਯੰਕਰੰਡਹਕਡਾਮਰੂਸੁਰੰ॥
ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲੀ ਦੇਵੀ ਕਿਲਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਮਾਰਦੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਡੌਰੂ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ,
ਕੜਕਕਤੀਯੰਉਠੰਪਰੰਤਧੂਰਪਖਰੰ॥
ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੜਾਕੇ ਉਠਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਖਰਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਧੂੜ ਪੈ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ।
The loud voice of the goddess Kali, who drinks blood, and the sound of tabor are being heard, the dreadful laughter is being heard in the battlefield and the dust settled on armours is also being seen
ਬਬਜਿਸਿੰਧਰੇਸੁਰੰਨ੍ਰਿਘਾਤਸੂਲਸੈਹਥੀਯੰ॥
ਰਣਸਿੰਘੇ ਸੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਜ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੂਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਹੱਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਯੋਧੇ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਭਭਜਿਕਾਤਰੋਰਣੰਨਿਲਜਭਜਭੂਭਰੰ॥੩੧੮॥
ਨਿਰਲਜ ਕਾਇਰ ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ ਭੂਮੀ ਉਤੇ ਭਾਰ ਬਣ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ॥੩੧੮॥
The elephants and horses are creating noise on being struck with the blows of sword and abandoning their shyness and being helpless, they are running away from the war.318.
ਸੁਸਸਤ੍ਰਅਸਤ੍ਰਸੰਨਿਧੰਜੁਝੰਤਜੋਧਣੋਜੁਧੰ॥
ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ (ਅਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ) ਨਾਲ ਸਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਯੋਧੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੂਝਦੇ ਸਨ
ਅਰੁਝਪੰਕਲਜਣੰਕਰੰਤਦ੍ਰੋਹਕੇਵਲੰ॥
(ਜੋ) ਲੱਜਾ ਰੂਪ ਚਿਕੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, (ਉਹ) ਕੇਵਲ ਦ੍ਰੋਹ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ।
Having been bedecked with arms and weapons the warriors are busy in war and not being stuck in the mud of shyness they are waging war
ਪਰੰਤਅੰਗਭੰਗਹੁਐਉਠੰਤਮਾਸਕਰਦਮੰ॥
ਅੰਗ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਡਿੱਗਦੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਮਾਸ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਕੜ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਛਿੱਟੇ ਉਠਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਖਿਲੰਤਜਾਣੁਕਦਵੰਸੁਮਝਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਗੋਪਿਕੰ॥੩੧੯॥
(ਇਉਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਖਿਦੋ ਖੇਡਦੇ ਹੋਣ ॥੩੧੯॥
Being filled with ire, the limbs and the bits of flesh of the warriors are falling on the earth like Krishna playing amongst Gopis by throwing up the ball from this to that side.319.
ਡਹਕਡਉਰਡਾਕਣੰਝਲੰਤਝਾਲਰੋਸੁਰੰ॥
ਡੌਰੂ ਤੇ ਡਾਕਣੀਆਂ ਬੋਲਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਮਕ (ਝਾਲ) ਲਿਸ਼ਕਦੀ ਸੀ।
ਨਿਨਦਨਾਦਨਾਫਿਰੰਬਜੰਤਭੇਰਿਭੀਖਣੰ॥
ਨਫ਼ੀਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਨਾਦ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਭੇਰੀ ਦੀ ਭੀਸ਼ਣ ਧੁਨੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ।
The tabors and famous gestures of the vampires are being seen and the dreadful sound of drums and fifes is being heard.
ਘੁਰੰਤਘੋਰਦੁੰਦਭੀਕਰੰਤਕਾਨਰੇਸੁਰੰ॥
ਧੌਂਸਾ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੂੰਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
ਕਰੰਤਝਾਝਰੋਝੜੰਬਜੰਤਬਾਸੁਰੀਬਰੰ॥੩੨੦॥
ਝਾਂਝ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਸੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਸਰੀ ਵੱਜ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ॥੩੨੦॥
The terrible sound of big drums is being heard in the ears. The jingling of anklets and the sweet voice of flutes are also being heard in the battlefield.320.
ਨਚੰਤਬਾਜਤੀਛਣੰਚਲੰਤਚਾਚਰੀਕ੍ਰਿਤੰ॥
ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਘੋੜੇ ਨੱਚਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਚਲਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਦੇ ਸਨ।
ਲਿਖੰਤਲੀਕਉਰਬੀਅੰਸੁਭੰਤਕੁੰਡਲੀਕਰੰ॥
(ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਸੁੰਮ ਦੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ) ਲੀਕ ਜਿਹੀ ਉਭਰ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ (ਜੋ) ਗੋਲਾਕਾਰ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੋਭ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ।
The swift horses are dancing and moving swiftly and with their gait they are creating coiled marks on the earth.
ਉਡੰਤਧੂਰਭੂਰਿਯੰਖੁਰੀਨਨਿਰਦਲੀਨਭੰ॥
ਖੁਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਠੀ ਹੋਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਧੂੜ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੱਸਰ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ।
ਪਰੰਤਭੂਰਭਉਰਣੰਸੁਭਉਰਠਉਰਜਿਉਜਲੰ॥੩੨੧॥
ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਭੈ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ (ਜਿਵੇਂ) ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੁੰਮਣਘੇਰੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ (ਤਾਰੂ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਡਰ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੩੨੧॥
Because of the sound of their hoofs, the dust is rising upto the sky and seems like the whirlpool in water.321.
ਭਜੰਤਧੀਰਬੀਰਣੰਚਲੰਤਮਾਨਪ੍ਰਾਨਲੈ॥
ਧੀਰਜ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਈ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਬਚਾ ਕੇ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
ਦਲੰਤਪੰਤਦੰਤੀਯੰਭਜੰਤਹਾਰਮਾਨਕੈ॥
ਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੰਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਪੰਕਤੀ ਦਲੀ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ (ਸੂਰਮੇ) ਹਾਰ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਭੱਜੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
The enduring warriors are fleeing with their honour and life-breath and the lines of the elephants have been destroyed
ਮਿਲੰਤਦਾਤਘਾਸਲੈਰਰਛਸਬਦਉਚਰੰ॥
ਕਈ ਦੰਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਘਾਹ ਲੈ ਕੇ (ਰਾਮ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਆ) ਮਿਲੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ 'ਰਛਿਆ ਕਰੋ, ਰਛਿਆ ਕਰੋ' ਸ਼ਬਦ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਉਚਾਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
ਬਿਰਾਧਦਾਨਵੰਜੁਝਯੋਸੁਹਥਿਰਾਮਨਿਰਮਲੰ॥੩੨੨॥
(ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਿਰਧ ਦੈਂਤ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ ॥੩੨੨॥
The demons inimical to Ram, taking the blades of grass in their teeth, have uttered the words “Protect us” and in this way the demons named Viradh has been killed.322.
