ਨਿਫਲਭਏਤਾਤੇਸਭਜੰਤ੍ਰਾ॥੧੬॥
ਇਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਤਨ ਨਿਸਫਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ॥੧੬॥
Without becoming pure, no mantra could be recited and this way, all the actions became fruitless.16.
ਦਸਸਹੰਸ੍ਰਬਰਖਕੀਅਰਾਜਾ॥
(ਅਰਹੰਤ ਨੇ) ਦਸ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਸਾਲ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ
ਸਭਜਗਮੋਮਤਐਸੁਪਰਾਜਾ॥
ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਤ ਉਤਪੰਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
In this way, Arhant ruled for ten thousand years and propagated his religion throughout the world.
ਧਰਮਕਰਮਸਬਹੀਮਿਟਿਗਯੋ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਧਰਮ ਕਰਮ ਮਿਟ ਗਏ।
ਤਾਤੇਛੀਨਅਸੁਰਕੁਲਭਯੋ॥੧੭॥
ਇਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੁਲ ਬਲਹੀਣ ਹੋ ਗਈ ॥੧੭॥
The actions of Dharma ended in the word and in this way, the clan of demons became weak.17.
ਦੇਵਰਾਇਜੀਅਮੋਭਲੁਮਾਨਾ॥
ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ (ਇੰਦਰ) ਦੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਚੰਗੀ ਲਗੀ
ਬਡਾਕਰਮੁਅਬਬਿਸਨੁਕਰਾਨਾ॥
ਕਿ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਨੇ ਹੁਣ ਵੱਡਾ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
Indra, the king of gods, liked all this very much in his mind that Vishnu had done such a great thing for them.
ਆਨੰਦਬਢਾਸੋਕਮਿਟਗਯੋ॥
ਆਨੰਦ ਵਧ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਗ ਮਿਟ ਗਿਆ।
ਘਰਿਘਰਿਸਬਹੂੰਬਧਾਵਾਭਯੋ॥੧੮॥
ਸਭ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਹੋਣ ਲਗੀਆਂ ॥੧੮॥
All of them forsaking grief, were filled with joy and the songs of happiness were sung in every home.18.

ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਕੇ, ਸਭਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਧਰਮ ਛੁੜਵਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ
ਅਮਰਾਵਤਿਸੁਰਨਗਰਮੋਬਹੁਰਿਬਿਰਾਜਿਯੋਜਾਇ॥੧੯॥
ਅਤੇ ਆਪ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਬੈਕੁੰਡ ਧਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਬਿਰਾਜਮਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੯॥
Instructing in this way, Vishnu caused all to abandon the acions of Dharma and went back again to heavens.19.
ਸ੍ਰਾਵਗੇਸਕੋਰੂਪਧਰਿਦੈਤਕੁਪੰਥਸਬਡਾਰਿ॥
ਸ੍ਰਾਵਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ (ਅਰਹੰਤ) ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਠੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਉਤੇ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Assuming the status of supreme preceptor of Sharvakas and engrossing the demons on the wrong path,
ਪੰਦ੍ਰਵੇਾਂਅਵਤਾਰਇਮਧਾਰਤਭਯੋਮੁਰਾਰਿ॥੨੦॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੰਦ੍ਰਹਵਾਂ ਅਵਤਾਰ 'ਕਾਲ-ਪੁਰਖ' ('ਮੁਰਾਰਿ') ਨੇ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ॥੨੦॥

ਧਰਮਕਰਮਸਬਹੀਤਜਿਭਾਗੇ॥
ਅਤੇ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਧਰਮ ਕਰਮ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
All the people were absorbed in Shravak Religion (Jainism) and all abandoned the action of Dharma.
ਤ੍ਯਾਗਦਈਸਬਹੂੰਹਰਿਸੇਵਾ॥
ਸਭ ਨੇ ਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
ਕੋਇਨਮਾਨਤਭੇਗੁਰਦੇਵਾ॥੧॥
ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ 'ਕਾਲ-ਪੁਰਖ' ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਸੀ ॥੧॥
All of them forsook the service of the Lord and none worshipped the Supreme preceptor (the Immanent Lord).1.
ਸਾਧਅਸਾਧਸਬੈਹੁਐਗਏ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਸਾਧ ਅਸਾਧ ਹੋ ਗਏ
ਧਰਮਕਰਮਸਬਹੂੰਤਜਿਦਏ॥
ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਨੇ ਧਰਮ-ਕਰਮ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
The saints became devoid of saintliness and all abandoned the action of Dharma
