ਦਿਗ਼ਰਜਾਸ਼ੁਨੀਦੇਦਵੀਦੇਦਲੇਰ॥੯੦॥
ਫਿਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਥਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ (ਆਕੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ) ਸੁਣਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਬੜੀ ਦਲੇਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਜਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਸੀ ॥੯੦॥
And would do the same at any other rebellious place.(90)
ਬਹਰਜਾਕਿਤਰਕਸ਼ਬਰੇਜ਼ੰਦਤੀਰ॥
ਉਹ ਜਿਥੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਭੱਥੇ ਤੋਂ ਤੀਰ ਸੁਟਦਾ ਸੀ,
Whenever he would shoot an arrow from his quiver,
ਬਕੁਸ਼ਤੇਅਦੂਰਾਬਕਰਦੇਅਸੀਰ॥੯੧॥
ਤਾਂ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਜਾਂ ਕੈਦੀ ਬਣਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਸੀ ॥੯੧॥
He would annihilate the enemy there and then.(91)
ਬਮੁਦਤਯਕੇਸਾਲਤਾਚਾਰਮਾਹ॥
ਉਹ ਇਕ ਸਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਰ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ
When a period of one year and four months had lapsed,
ਦਰਿਖ਼ਸ਼ਿੰਦਹਆਮਦਚੁਰਖ਼ਸ਼ਿੰਦਹਮਾਹ॥੯੨॥
ਪੁੰਨਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਵਾਂਗ ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਚਮਕ ਪਿਆ ॥੯੨॥
He became as famous in the country as the moon in the sky,(92)
ਬਦੋਜ਼ੰਦਦੁਸ਼ਮਨਬਸੋਜ਼ੰਦਤਨ॥
ਉਹ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਤੀਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਪਰੋਂਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
After stringing them through arrows he had nettled the enemies,
ਬਯਾਦਆਮਦਸ਼ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰੇਕੁਹਨ॥੯੩॥
ਇੰਜ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੀਤੇ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਆ ਗਈ ॥੯੩॥
And reminisced on the old days.(93)
ਬਗੁਫ਼ਤਸ਼ਯਕੇਰੋਜ਼ਦੁਖ਼ਤਰਵਜ਼ੀਰ॥
ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਵਜ਼ੀਰ ਦੀ ਲੜਕੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ,
One day the daughter of the minister said to him,
ਕਿਏਸ਼ਾਹਸ਼ਾਹਾਨਰੌਸ਼ਨਜ਼ਮੀਰ॥੯੪॥
ਐ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਜ਼ਮੀਰ! ॥੯੪॥
‘Oh, you the king of kings and the enlightened one,(94)
ਬਯਕਬਾਰਮੁਲਕਤਫ਼ਰਾਮੋਸ਼ਗ਼ਸ਼ਤ॥
ਤੂੰ ਇਕੋ ਵਾਰ ਹੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭੁਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈਂ
‘Instantly you have forgotten your own country,
ਕਿਅਜ਼ਮਸਤਮਸਤੀਹਮਹਹੋਸ਼ਗਸ਼ਤ॥੯੫॥
ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਮਸਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਇਤਨਾ ਡੁਬਿਆ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੀ ਹੋਸ਼ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੯੫॥
‘And being adorned with success, you have forgotten your own- self.(95)
ਤੁਆਂਮੁਲਕਪੇਸ਼ੀਨਹਰਾਯਾਦਕੁਨ॥
ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਮੁਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰ
‘Remember your own country, ‘Where lies your paternal city.
ਕਿਸ਼ਹਰੇਪਦਰਰਾਤੁਆਬਾਦਕੁਨ॥੯੬॥
ਅਤੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਬਾਦ ਕਰ ॥੯੬॥
You must go and rehabilitate it.’(96)
ਨਿਗਹਦਾਸ਼ਤਅਜ਼ਫ਼ੌਜਲਸ਼ਕਰਤਮਾਮ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਅਤੇ ਲਸ਼ਕਰ ਉਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਮਾਰੀ
He had always been keeping vigil on this army,
ਬਸੇਗੰਜਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀਦਬਰਵੈਮੁਦਾਮ॥੯੭॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ (ਧਨ) ਵੰਡਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ॥੯੭॥
And had been distributing the wealth (among them).(97)
ਯਕੇਲਸ਼ਕਰਆਰਾਸਤਚੂੰਨੌਬਹਾਰ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਸੰਤ ਰੁਤ ਵਾਂਗ ਇਕ ਸੈਨਾ ਦਲ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ
One of the contingent, he decorated like the spring season.
ਜ਼ਿਖ਼ੰਜਰਵਗੁਰਜੋਵਬਕਤਰਹਜ਼ਾਰ॥੯੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਖ਼ੰਜਰ, ਗੁਰਜ ਅਤੇ ਕਵਚ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਵਾਏ ॥੯੮॥
He provided (them) thousands of daggers, and laced them with armours,(98)
ਜ਼ਿਰਹਖ਼ੋਦਖ਼ੁਫ਼ਤਾਨਬਰਗਸ਼ਤਵਾਨ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਵਚ, ਸਿਰ ਦੇ ਟੋਪ, ਚਿਲਤੇ, ਪੇਟੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੰਦੁਸਤਾਨੀ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ,
Along with coat-of-mails, he gave them Hindustani swords,
ਜ਼ਿਸ਼ਮਸ਼ੇਰਹਿੰਦੀਗਿਰਾਤਾਗਿਰਾਨ॥੯੯॥
ਜੋ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੁੱਲਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਇਕੱਠੀਆਂ ਕਰਵਾਈਆਂ ॥੯੯॥
which were very heavy and expensive.(99)
ਜ਼ਿਬੰਦੂਕਮਸਹਦਵਚੀਨੀਕਮਾਨ॥
ਮਸਹਦ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੰਦੂਕਾਂ, ਚੀਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਮਾਨਾਂ,
Also (he gave them) the Guns from the country of Mashad,
ਜ਼ਿਰਹਰੂਮਸ਼ਮਸ਼ੇਰਹਿੰਦੋਸਤਾਨ॥੧੦੦॥
ਰੂਮ ਵਿਚ ਬਣੇ ਕਵਚ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੰਦੁਸਤਾਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਣੀਆਂ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਇਕਤ੍ਰ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ॥੧੦੦॥
Including chain-mails of Rome and scimitars of Hindustan.(100)
ਚਿਅਜ਼ਤਾਜ਼ੀਅਸਪਾਨਪੋਲਾਦਨਾਲ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਫ਼ੌਲਾਦੀ ਖੁਰੀਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਰਬੀ ਘੋੜੇ
They were provided with Arabian horses, (which were) outfitted with steel hooves.
ਹਮਹਜੂਬਦਹਫ਼ੀਲਾਨਅਜਿਸ਼ਬੇਮਸਾਲ॥੧੦੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲੇ ਰੰਗ ਦੇ ਅਦੁੱਤੀ ਹਾਥੀ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ॥੧੦੧॥
Along with all the stimulated elephants, which were as black as the night.(101)
ਹਮਹਸ਼ੇਰਮਰਦਾਵਜ਼ੋਰਾਵਰਾ॥
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ੇਰ-ਮਰਦ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਸਨ
All the fighters were very brave,
ਕਿਸ਼ੇਰਅਫ਼ਕਨਾਰਾਬਸ਼ਫ਼ਅਫ਼ਕਨਾ॥੧੦੨॥
ਜੋ ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਕਤਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਿਗਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਨ ॥੧੦੨॥
They, the lion hearted ones, could decimate lines after lines (of the enemies).(102)
ਬਰਜ਼ਮਅੰਦਰੂੰਹਮਚੁਪੀਲਅਫ਼ਕਨਅਸਤ॥
ਉਹ ਆਪ ਜੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਹਾਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਸੀ।
Although he was capable of killing an elephant,
ਬਬਜ਼ਮਅੰਦਰੂੰਚਰਬਚਾਲਾਕਦਸਤ॥੧੦੩॥
ਮਜਲਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਸੂਝਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਚੁਸਤ ਸੀ ॥੧੦੩॥
In the court he prevailed with very sweet tongue and wit.(103)
ਨਿਸ਼ਾਮੇਦਿਹਦਨੇਜ਼ਹਰਾਨੋਕਖ਼ੂੰ॥
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨੇਜ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਨੋਕ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ ਖ਼ੂਨ (ਵੈਰੀ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ) ਹੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
His spear was captivating,
ਕਸ਼ੀਦੰਦਅਜ਼ਤੇਗ਼ਜ਼ਹਿਰਆਬਗੂੰ॥੧੦੪॥
ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਿਖੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ ਦੀ ਪਾਣ ਲਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ॥੧੦੪॥
And the swords were tempered with the poison.(104)
ਯਕੇਫ਼ੌਜਆਰਾਸਤਹਹਮਚੁਕੋਹ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਵਰਗੀ ਇਕ ਸੈਨਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਕੀਤੀ,
A pyramid of the army was established, which was,
ਜੁਵਾਨਾਨਸ਼ਾਇਸਤਹੇਯਕਗਰੋਹ॥੧੦੫॥
ਜੋ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਜੀਲੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਜੱਥਾ ਸੀ ॥੧੦੫॥
Constituted of very handsome young-men,(105)
ਬਪੋਸ਼ੀਦਦਸਤਾਰਦੁਖ਼ਤਰਵਜ਼ੀਰ॥
ਵਜ਼ੀਰ ਦੀ ਲੜਕੀ ਨੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਪਗੜੀ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਲਈ,
The daughter of the Minister put the turban on,
ਬਬਸਤੰਦਸ਼ਮਸ਼ੇਰਜੁਸਤੰਦਤੀਰ॥੧੦੬॥
ਲਕ ਨਾਲ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਕਸ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਭੱਥੇ ਵਿਚ ਤੀਰ ਭਰ ਲਏ ॥੧੦੬॥
And took a quiver full of arrows.(106)
ਬਸਰਦਾਰੀਏਕਰਦਪੇਸ਼ੀਨਹਫ਼ੌਜ॥
ਉਸ (ਲੜਕੀ) ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦਾ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ
Leading the frontal detachments,
ਰਵਾਕਰਦਲਸ਼ਕਰਚੁਦਰੀਯਾਇਮੌਜ॥੧੦੭॥
ਅਤੇ ਦਰਿਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੂੰ ਤੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧੦੭॥
She led the army like the flowing river.(107)
ਯਕੇਗੋਲਬਸਤਹਚੁਅਬਰੇਸਿਯਾਹ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਾਲੇ ਬਦਲ ਵਾਂਗ ਇਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਦਲ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਚਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Like a black cloud, when one contingent was despatched,
ਬਲਰਜ਼ੀਦਬੂਮੋਬਲਰਜ਼ੀਦਮਾਹ॥੧੦੮॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਕੰਬ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਡੋਲਣ ਲਗੀ ॥੧੦੮॥
The earth shook and the moon trembled.(108)
ਬਿਯਾਵੁਰਦਲਸ਼ਕਰਚੁਬਰਵੈਹਦੂਦ॥
ਜਦ ਉਹ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਹਦ ਉਤੇ ਲੈ ਆਈ
When the border was butted by the army,
ਸਲਾਹੇਦਿਗ਼ਰਤੀਰਤੇਗ਼ੋਨਮੂਦ॥੧੦੯॥
ਤਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਅਸਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੀ ਨਾ ਪਈ ॥੧੦੯॥
Which was equipped with arrows, swords and many other arms,(109)
ਬਿਆਰਾਸਤਲਸ਼ਕਰਬਸਾਜ਼ੇਤਮਾਮ॥
ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ-ਅਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਸਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
And also provided were the weapons,
ਹਮਹਖ਼ੰਜਰੋਗੁਰਜਗੋਪਾਲਨਾਮ॥੧੧੦॥
ਉਸ ਕੋਲ (ਬੇਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ) ਖ਼ੰਜਰ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਜ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ 'ਗੋਪਾਲ' ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੧੦॥
Known as daggers, maces and slingshots,(110)
ਬਬੁਰਦੰਦਅਕਲੀਮਤਾਰਾਜਤਖ਼ਤ॥
ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੁਟਿਆ
Then was plundered the country of Akleem,
ਬਬੁਰਦਨਸ਼ਹੇਬਾਦਪਾਯਾਨਰਖ਼ਤ॥੧੧੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਹਵਾ ਵਾਂਗ ਤੇਜ਼ ਚਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਘੋੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਸਾਮਾਨ ਵੀ ਲੁਟ ਲਿਆ ॥੧੧੧॥
And one ruler took away the flying-horses and other outfits.(111)
ਚੁਨਾਜੰਗਕਰਦੰਦਆਂਮੁਲਕਰਾ॥
ਜੰਗ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੁਲਕ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ
The worn-torn country was left like,
ਚੁਬਰਗੇਦਰਖ਼ਤਾਜ਼ਿਬਾਦੇਸਬਾ॥੧੧੨॥
ਜਿਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਪਤਝੜ ਦੀ ਹਵਾ ਦਰਖ਼ਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਰੁੰਡ-ਮੁੰਡ) ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧੧੨॥
The trees, which are made barren during the fall.(112)
ਬਕੁਸ਼ਤਨਅਦੂਰਾਕੁਸ਼ਾਯਦਬਪੇਸ਼॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਅਗੇ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਲਿਆ।
The defeat of the enemy opened all the annuls to march forward,
ਬਬੇਰੂੰਜ਼ਿਮੁਲਕਸ਼ਹਮਹਰੂਹਰੇਸ਼॥੧੧੩॥
ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਮੁਲਕ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਛਿਲ ਦਿੱਤੇ (ਅਰਥਾਤ-ਮੁੰਨ ਦਿੱਤੇ) ॥੧੧੩॥
And the opponents were left behind humiliated.(113)
ਪਰੀਚਿਹਰਏਹਮਚੁਸ਼ੇਰੇਨਿਯਾਦ॥
ਪਰੀ ਵਰਗੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਵਜ਼ੀਰ ਦੀ ਲੜਕੀ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਜੋਸ਼ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ
Her fairy-like features depicted the lion’s courage,
