ਕਿ ਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਗ਼ ਵਿਚਲੇ ਸਰੂ ਦੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਵਾਂਗ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ ॥੪੮॥
Ran Singh fell flat like a cypress tree in the garden.(48)
ਯਕੇਸ਼ਹਿਰਅੰਬੇਰਦਿਗ਼ਰਜੋਧਪੁਰ॥
ਇਕ ਅੰਬੇਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਜੋਧਪੁਰ (ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ) ਦੋਵੇਂ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਏ।
There was one Raja of Amber and the other of Jodhpur,
ਖ਼ਰਾਮੀਦਹਬਾਨੋਚੁਰਖ਼ਸਿੰਦਹਦੁਰ॥੪੯॥
ਤਾਂ ਮੋਤੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਲਿਸ਼ਕਦੇ (ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਾਲੀ) ਇਸਤਰੀ ਮਟਕਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਦੋਹਾਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ) ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਈ ॥੪੯॥
The woman with body radiating like pearls came forward,(49)
ਬਿਜ਼ਦਤੇਗ਼ਬਾਜ਼ੋਰਬਾਨੋਸਿਪਰ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਢਾਲ ਉਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਮਾਰੀ
When they hit her shield with great force,
ਬਬਰਖ਼ੇਜ਼ਸ਼ੋਲਹਬਸੇਚੂੰਗਹੁਰ॥੫੦॥
ਤਾਂ (ਉਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਮੋਤੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਚਮਕਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਚੰਗਿਆੜੇ ਨਿਕਲੇ ॥੫੦॥
The fire sparks flashed out gleaming like gems.(50)
ਸਿਯਮਰਾਜਹਬੂੰਦੀਦਰਆਮਦਦਲੇਰ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ) ਤੀਜਾ ਬੂੰਦੀ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਬੜੀ ਦਲੇਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਆਇਆ,
Then the ruler of Boondi, with great vigour and force, came forward,
ਚੁਬਰਬਚਹਆਹੂਚੁਗ਼ੁਰਰੀਦਸ਼ੇਰ॥੫੧॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਗੱਜਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਹਿਰਨ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਉਤੇ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫੧॥
Like a lion proceeds to pounce upon the deer.(51)
ਚੁਨਾਤੀਰਜ਼ਦਹਰਦੋਅਬਰੂਸਿਕੰਜ॥
(ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਨੇ) ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਭਰਵਟਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਤੀਰ ਮਾਰਿਆ
But she hit an arrow right throw his eyes,
ਬਿਅਫ਼ਤਾਦਅਮਰਸਿੰਘਚੁਸ਼ਾਖੇਤੁਰੰਜ॥੫੨॥
ਕਿ (ਰਾਜਾ) ਅਮਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸ਼ਾਖ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਨਿੰਬੂ ਟੁਟ ਕੇ ਡਿਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫੨॥
And he fell down like a branch from the tree.(52)
ਚੁਅਮਰਾਜਹਜੈਸਿੰਘਦਰਆਮਦਮੁਸਾਫ਼॥
ਚੌਥਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਜੈ ਸਿੰਘ (ਬਹੁਤ ਜੋਸ਼ ਨਾਲ) ਜੰਗ ਦੇ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਗਿਆ,
The fourth Ruler, Jai Singh, jumped into the battlefield,
ਬਜੋਸ਼ਅੰਦਰੀਂਸ਼ੁਦਚੁਅਜ਼ਕੋਹਕਾਫ਼॥੫੩॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ 'ਕੋਹ ਕਾਫ਼' (ਪਰਬਤ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼) ਅੰਦਰ ਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੫੩॥
As, internally with rage, he was behaving like the Caucasian Mountain,(53)
ਹੁਮਾਖ਼ੁਰਦਸ਼ਰਬਤਕਿਯਾਰੇਚੁਅਮ॥
ਚੌਥੇ (ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ) ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਸ਼ਰਬਤ ਪਿਲਾਇਆ
And this fourth one faced the same end.
ਜ਼ਿਜੈਸਿੰਘਪਸੇਯਕਨਿਆਮਦਕਦਮ॥੫੪॥
ਕਿ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਕ ਕਦਮ ਵੀ ਪਿਛੇ ਨਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਗਿਆ (ਭਾਵ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ) ॥੫੪॥
After Jai Singh, no body took courage to come forward.(54)
ਯਕੋਸ਼ਹਿਫਿਰੰਗੋਪਿਲੰਦੇਦਿਗਰ॥
ਫਿਰ ਇਕ ਫਰੰਗ (ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ) ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਪਿਲੰਦ (ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ) ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਆਇਆ।
Then came a European and the one belonging to Pland (Poland),
ਬਮੈਦਾਦਰਾਮਦਚੁਸ਼ੇਰੇਬਬਰ॥੫੫॥
ਉਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਬਬਰ ਸ਼ੇਰ (ਵਾਂਗ ਗੱਜਦੇ ਸਨ) ॥੫੫॥
And they pounced forward like lions.(55)
ਸਿਯਮਸ਼ਾਹਿਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ਚੂੰਆਫ਼ਤਾਬ॥
ਤੀਜਾ ਅੰਗ੍ਰੇਜ਼ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਸੂਰਜ ਵਾਂਗ ਜੋਤਿਮਾਨ
The third one, an Englishman, radiated like the sun,
ਚੁਅਮਸ਼ਾਹਿਹਬਸ਼ੀਚੁਮਗਰੇਦਰਆਬ॥੫੬॥
ਅਤੇ ਚੌਥਾ ਹਬਸ਼ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਮਗਰਮਛ ਵਾਂਗ (ਹਲਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੫੬॥
And the fourth one, a Negro, came out like a crocodile emerging from water.(56)
ਯਕੇਰਾਬਿਜ਼ਦਨੇਜ਼ਹਮੁਸ਼ਤੇਦਿਗਰ॥
(ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਨੇ) ਇਕ ਨੂੰ ਨੇਜ਼ੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰਿਆ, ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਕੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ,
She hit one with a spear, punched the other,
ਸਿਯਮਰਾਬਪਾਓਚੁਅਮਰਾਸਿਪਰ॥੫੭॥
ਤੀਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਚੌਥੇ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰਿਆ ॥੫੭॥
Treaded upon the third and knocked the fourth with the shield.(57)
ਚੁਨਾਮੇਬਿਅਫ਼ਤਦਨਬਰਖ਼ਾਸਤਬਾਜ਼॥
(ਉਹ ਚਾਰੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ) ਅਜਿਹੇ ਡਿਗੇ ਕਿ ਫਿਰ ਉਠ ਨਾ ਸਕੇ।
All the four fell flat and could not get up,
ਸੂਏਆਸਮਾਜਾਨਪਰਵਾਜ਼ਸਾਜ਼॥੫੮॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਨ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਲ ਉਡ ਗਈ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ) ॥੫੮॥
And their souls flew towards celestial heights.(58)
ਦਿਗ਼ਰਕਸਨਿਯਾਮਦਤਮੰਨਾਇਜੰਗ॥
ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਜੰਗ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ
Then none other dared to come forward,
ਕਿਪੇਸ਼ੇਨਿਯਾਮਦਦਿਲਾਵਰਨਿਹੰਗ॥੫੯॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮਗਰਮੱਛ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਕੋਈ ਦਲੇਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ ॥੫੯॥
Because none dared to face the one who was as courageous as crocodile.(59)
ਸ਼ਬੇਸ਼ਹਿਸ਼ਬਿਸਤਾਚੂੰਦਰਆਮਦਬਫ਼ਉਜ॥
ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਤ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ (ਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ) ਫ਼ੌਜ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਪਿਆ।
When the night king (moon) took over along with his legion (stars),
ਸਿਪਹਖ਼ਾਨਹਆਮਦਹਮਹਮਉਜਮਉਜ॥੬੦॥
ਤਦ ਬੜੀ ਮੌਜ ਨਾਲ (ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ) ਸੈਨਾ ਡੇਰਿਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਆ ਗਈ ॥੬੦॥
All the troops departed for their abodes.(60)
ਬਰੋਜ਼ੇਦਿਗ਼ਰਰਉਸ਼ਨੀਅਤਪਨਾਹ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਦੂਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਦਾ ਆਧਾਰ (ਸੂਰਜ) ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਨ ਉਪਰ ਆਇਆ,
The night broke and, to rescue the light, came the sun,
ਬਅਉਰੰਗਦਰਆਮਦਚੁਅਉਰੰਗਸ਼ਾਹ॥੬੧॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਉਤੇ ਆ ਬੈਠਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੧॥
Who occupied the seat like the master of the kingdom.(61)
ਦੁਸੂਏਯਲਾਹਮਹਬਸਤੰਦਕਮਰ॥
ਦੋਹਾਂ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਕਮਰ ਕਸੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ
The warriors from both camps penetrated the battlefield,
ਬਮੈਦਾਨਜੁਸਤੰਦਸਿਪਰਬਰਸਿਪਰ॥੬੨॥
ਅਤੇ ਢਾਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਢਾਲਾਂ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਮੈਦਾਨੇ ਜੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ॥੬੨॥
And the shields started to strike the shields.(62)
ਬਗੁਰਰੀਦਆਮਦਦੁਅਬਰੇਮੁਸਾਫ਼॥
ਦੋਹਾਂ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਬਦਲਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਗਜਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਆ ਗਏ।
Both the parties entered roaring like clouds,
ਯਕੇਗਸ਼ਤਹਬਾਯਲਯਕੇਗਸ਼ਤਜ਼ਾਫ਼॥੬੩॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਕਈ ਇਕ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਮਰ ਗਏ ॥੬੩॥
One was getting afflicted and the other seemed annihilating.(63)
ਚਕਾਚਾਕਬਰਖ਼ਾਸਤਤੀਰੋਤੁਫ਼ੰਗ॥
ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਸਰਾਹਟ ਅਤੇ ਬੰਦੂਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਾੜ ਕਾੜ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਆਣ ਲਗੀ।
Because of the arrows showered from all sides,
ਖ਼ਤਾਖ਼ਤਦਰਾਮਦਹਮਹਰੰਗਰੰਗ॥੬੪॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਈ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ (ਆਵਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਆਣ ਲਗ ਗਈਆਂ) ॥੬੪॥
The voices of the distressed ones were emanating from all sides,(64)
ਜ਼ਿਤੀਰੋਜ਼ਿਤੋਪੋਜ਼ਿਤੇਗ਼ੋਤਬਰ॥
ਤੀਰਾਂ, ਤੋਪਾਂ, ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ, ਤਬਰਾਂ (ਕੁਹਾੜੀਆਂ)
As the action was predominating through arrows, guns, swords, axes,
ਜ਼ਿਨੇਜ਼ਹਵਨਾਚਖ਼ਵਨਾਵਕਸਿਪਰ॥੬੫॥
ਨੇਜ਼ਿਆਂ, ਬਰਛਿਆਂ, ਬਾਣਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਢਾਲਾਂ (ਆਦਿ ਅਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ-ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ) ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਹੋਇਆ ॥੬੫॥
Spears, lances, steel-arrows and shields.(65)
ਯਕੇਦੇਵਆਮਦਕਿਜ਼ਾਗੋਨਿਸ਼ਾ॥
ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਕਾਲੇ ਕਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਦੇਓ (ਰਾਖਸ਼) ਆਇਆ
Instantly a giant came, who was as dark as a leech,
ਚੁਗ਼ੁਰਰੀਦਸ਼ੇਰਹਮਚੁਪੀਲੇਦਮਾ॥੬੬॥
ਜੋ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਗਰਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਥੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਮਸਤ ਸੀ ॥੬੬॥
And who was howling like a lion and excited like an elephant.(66)
ਕੁਨਦਤੀਰੋਬਾਰਾਚੁਬਾਰਾਨਮੇਗ਼॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਦਲਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਬਰਖਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
He was throwing the arrows like rainstorm,
ਬਰਖ਼ਸ਼ਅੰਦਰਾਅਬਰਚੂੰਬਰਕਤੇਗ਼॥੬੭॥
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਬਦਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਚਮਕਦੀ ਸੀ ॥੬੭॥
And his sword was radiating like the lightening in the clouds.(67)
ਬਜੋਸ਼ਅੰਦਰਆਮਦਦਹਾਨੇਦੁਹਲ॥
ਢੋਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਜੋਸ਼ ਆ ਗਿਆ (ਭਾਵ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਵਜਣ ਲਗੇ)।
The echoes from the drum blared their sounds,
ਚੁਪੁਰਗਸ਼ਤਬਾਜ਼ਾਰਜਾਏਅਜ਼ਲ॥੬੮॥
ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਲਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਈ ॥੬੮॥
And the humanity was forced to face death.(68)
ਹਰਾਕਸਕਿਪਰਰਾਸ਼ਵਦਤੀਰਸ਼ਸਤ॥
(ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਬਛਤਰਾ ਮਤੀ ਨੇ) ਜੋ ਵੀ ਤੀਰ ਚਲਾਇਆ
Whenever the arrows were shot,
ਬਸਦਪਹਿਲੂਏਪੀਲਮਰਦਾਗੁਜ਼ਸ਼ਤ॥੬੯॥
ਉਹ ਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਸਲੀਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਲੰਘ ਗਿਆ ॥੬੯॥
They went through thousands of brave chests.(69)
ਹੁਮਾਕਸਬਸੇਤੀਰਜ਼ਦਬਰਕਜ਼ਾ॥
ਉਸ ਦੇਓ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਤੀਰ ਮਾਰੇ,
But when a great number of arrows were discharged,
ਬਿਅਫ਼ਤਾਦਦੇਵੇਚੁਕਰਖੇਗਿਰਾ॥੭੦॥
ਜਿਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਵੱਡੀ ਅਟਾਰੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ ॥੭੦॥
The giant fell down like the attic of a lofty mansion.(70)
ਦਿਗ਼ਰਦੇਵਬਰਗਸ਼ਤਬਿਯਾਮਦਬਜੰਗ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਰਾਖਸ਼ ਗਿਰਝ ਵਾਂਗ ਜੰਗ ਦੇ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਇਆ।
Another giant flew in like kite to participate in the fight,
ਚੁਸ਼ੇਰੇਅਜ਼ੀਮੋਹਮਚੁਬਰਾਪਿਲੰਗ॥੭੧॥
ਉਹ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਭਾਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਚੀਤੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਫ਼ੁਰਤੀਲਾ ਸੀ ॥੭੧॥
It was as big as a lion and as fast as an antelope.(71)
ਚੁਨਾਜ਼ਖ਼ਮਗੋਪਾਲਅੰਦਾਖ਼ਤਸਖ਼ਤ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ (ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਨੇ) ਗੁਰਜ ਮਾਰਿਆ,
He was hit hard, injured with a missile, and was toppled over,
