ਸਲੋਕਮਃ੧॥
Shalok, First Mahalaa:
ਘਰਮਹਿਘਰੁਦੇਖਾਇਦੇਇਸੋਸਤਿਗੁਰੁਪੁਰਖੁਸੁਜਾਣੁ॥
ਉਹ ਹੈ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਪੁਰਖ ਜੋ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਾ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਖਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ;
The True Guru is the All-knowing Primal Being; He shows us our true home within the home of the self.
ਪੰਚਸਬਦਧੁਨਿਕਾਰਧੁਨਿਤਹਬਾਜੈਸਬਦੁਨੀਸਾਣੁ॥
(ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਉਸ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ (ਅੱਪੜਦਾ ਹੈ) ਤਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ-ਰੂਪ ਨਗਾਰਾ ਵੱਜਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਗੁਰ-ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਇਤਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਬਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਖਿੱਚ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ, ਤਦੋਂ ਮਾਨੋ) ਪੰਜ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਸਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਸੰਗੀਤਕ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਉੱਠਦੀ ਹੈ (ਜੋ ਮਸਤੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ)।
The Panch Shabad, the Five Primal Sounds, resonate and resound within; the insignia of the Shabad is revealed there, vibrating gloriously.
ਦੀਪਲੋਅਪਾਤਾਲਤਹਖੰਡਮੰਡਲਹੈਰਾਨੁ॥
ਇਸ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ (ਅੱਪੜ ਕੇ) ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਬੇਅੰਤ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਦੇ ਕੌਤਕ) ਦੀਪਾਂ, ਲੋਕਾਂ, ਪਾਤਾਲਾਂ, ਖੰਡਾਂ ਤੇ ਮੰਡਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ;
Worlds and realms, nether regions, solar systems and galaxies are wondrously revealed.
ਤਾਰਘੋਰਬਾਜਿੰਤ੍ਰਤਹਸਾਚਿਤਖਤਿਸੁਲਤਾਨੁ॥
(ਇਸ ਸਾਰੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਦਾ) ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸੱਚੇ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਉਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਅੱਪੜਿਆਂ; ਮਾਨੋ, ਵਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਸੁਰ ਦੀ ਘਨਘੋਰ ਲੱਗੀ ਪਈ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ,
The strings and the harps vibrate and resound; the true throne of the Lord is there.
ਸੁਖਮਨਕੈਘਰਿਰਾਗੁਸੁਨਿਸੁੰਨਿਮੰਡਲਿਲਿਵਲਾਇ॥
ਇਸ ਰੱਬੀ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਰਾਗ ਸੁਣ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਅਫੁਰ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਰੱਬੀ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ ਮੌਜ ਵਿਚ ਇਤਨਾ ਮਸਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਗਤ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੋਈ ਫੁਰਨਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਉੱਠਦਾ)।

ਅਕਥਕਥਾਬੀਚਾਰੀਐਮਨਸਾਮਨਹਿਸਮਾਇ॥
ਇਥੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਜਿਉਂ ਜਿਉਂ ਵੀਚਾਰੀਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਿਉਂ ਤਿਉਂ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਫੁਰਨਾ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਗ਼ਰਕ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ;
Contemplate the Unspoken Speech, and the desires of the mind are dissolved.
ਉਲਟਿਕਮਲੁਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿਭਰਿਆਇਹੁਮਨੁਕਤਹੁਨਜਾਇ॥
ਇਹ ਮਨ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਰੂਪ ਕਉਲ ਫੁੱਲ (ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ) ਪਰਤ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ-ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ;
The heart-lotus is turned upside-down, and is filled with Ambrosial Nectar. This mind does not go out; it does not get distracted.
ਅਜਪਾਜਾਪੁਨਵੀਸਰੈਆਦਿਜੁਗਾਦਿਸਮਾਇ॥
ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ, ਜੋ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਢ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਜੁਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਣਨ ਤੋਂ ਭੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਨ ਇਉਂ ਲੀਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ (ਕਿਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ) ਨਹੀਂ ਭੁੱਲਦੀ, ਜੀਭ ਹਿਲਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੀ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
It does not forget the Chant which is chanted without chanting; it is immersed in the Primal Lord God of the ages.
ਸਭਿਸਖੀਆਪੰਚੇਮਿਲੇਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਨਿਜਘਰਿਵਾਸੁ॥
(ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਿਰੋਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੇ-ਦਖ਼ਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ, ਇਸ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ ਤੇ ਪੰਜੇ (ਦੈਵੀ ਗੁਣ ਭਾਵ, ਸਤ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਦਇਆ ਧਰਮ ਧੀਰਜ) ਸੰਗੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
All the sister-companions are blessed with the five virtues. The Gurmukhs dwell in the home of the self deep within.
ਸਬਦੁਖੋਜਿਇਹੁਘਰੁਲਹੈਨਾਨਕੁਤਾਕਾਦਾਸੁ॥੧॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਸ (ਨਿਰੋਲ ਆਪਣੇ) ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਨਕ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
Nanak is the slave of that one who seeks the Shabad and finds this home within. ||1||

First Mahalaa:
ਚਿਲਿਮਿਲਿਬਿਸੀਆਰਦੁਨੀਆਫਾਨੀ॥
ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੀ ਲਿਸ਼ਕ (ਵਾਂਗ) ਦੁਨੀਆ (ਦੀ ਚਮਕ) ਬਹੁਤ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਹੈ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ,
The extravagant glamor of the world is a passing show.
ਕਾਲੂਬਿਅਕਲਮਨਗੋਰਨਮਾਨੀ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਚਮਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ) ਮੈਂ ਮੂਰਖ ਨੇ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਚੇਤਾ ਹੀ ਨਾਹ ਰੱਖਿਆ।
My twisted mind does not believe that it will end up in a grave.
ਮਨਕਮੀਨਕਮਤਰੀਨਤੂਦਰੀਆਉਖੁਦਾਇਆ॥
ਮੈਂ ਕਮੀਨਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਮਾੜਾ ਹਾਂ, ਪਰ ਹੇ ਖ਼ੁਦਾ! ਤੂੰ ਦਰੀਆ (-ਦਿਲ) ਹੈਂ;
I am meek and lowly; You are the great river.
ਏਕੁਚੀਜੁਮੁਝੈਦੇਹਿਅਵਰਜਹਰਚੀਜਨਭਾਇਆ॥
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਇਕ 'ਨਾਮ' ਦੇਹ, ਹੋਰ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਜ਼ਹਰ (ਵਰਗੀਆਂ) ਹਨ, ਇਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦੀਆਂ।
Please, bless me with the one thing; everything else is poison, and does not tempt me.
ਪੁਰਾਬਖਾਮਕੂਜੈਹਿਕਮਤਿਖੁਦਾਇਆ॥
ਹੇ ਖ਼ੁਦਾ! (ਮੇਰਾ ਸਰੀਰ) ਕੱਚਾ ਕੂਜ਼ਾ (ਪਿਆਲਾ) ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਤੇਰੀ (ਅਜਬ) ਕਾਰੀਗਰੀ ਹੈ,
You filled this fragile body with the water of life, O Lord, by Your Creative Power.
ਮਨਤੁਆਨਾਤੂਕੁਦਰਤੀਆਇਆ॥
(ਹੇ ਖ਼ੁਦਾ!) ਤੂੰ ਤੁਆਨਾ (ਬਲਵਾਨ) ਹੈਂ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਨਾਲ (ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ।
By Your Omnipotence, I have become powerful.
ਸਗਨਾਨਕਦੀਬਾਨਮਸਤਾਨਾਨਿਤਚੜੈਸਵਾਇਆ॥
ਹੇ ਖ਼ੁਦਾ! ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਦਾ ਕੁੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮਸਤਾਨਾ ਹੈ (ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ, ਇਹ ਮਸਤੀ) ਨਿੱਤ ਵਧਦੀ ਰਹੇ,
Nanak is a dog in the Court of the Lord, intoxicated more and more, all the time.
ਆਤਸਦੁਨੀਆਖੁਨਕਨਾਮੁਖੁਦਾਇਆ॥੨॥
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਦੁਨੀਆ ਅੱਗ (ਵਾਂਗ) ਹੈ ਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਠੰਢ ਪਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
The world is on fire; the Name of the Lord is cooling and soothing. ||2||
ਪਉੜੀਨਵੀਮਃ੫॥
New Pauree, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਸਭੋਵਰਤੈਚਲਤੁਚਲਤੁਵਖਾਣਿਆ॥
ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ (ਜਗਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ) ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਹੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ,
His wonderful play is all-pervading; it is wonderful and amazing!
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁਪਰਮੇਸਰੁਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਜਾਣਿਆ॥
(ਇਸ ਤਮਾਸ਼ੇ ਨੂੰ ਰਚਣ ਵਾਲਾ) ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
As Gurmukh, I know the Transcendent Lord, the Supreme Lord God.
ਲਥੇਸਭਿਵਿਕਾਰਸਬਦਿਨੀਸਾਣਿਆ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ (-ਰੂਪ) ਨਗਾਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਨੱਠ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ),
All my sins and corruption are washed away, through the insignia of the Shabad, the Word of God.
ਸਾਧੂਸੰਗਿਉਧਾਰੁਭਏਨਿਕਾਣਿਆ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ (ਰਿਹਾਂ, ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾਉ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਬੇ-ਮੁਥਾਜ ਹੋ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ।
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, one is saved, and becomes free.
ਸਿਮਰਿਸਿਮਰਿਦਾਤਾਰੁਸਭਿਰੰਗਮਾਣਿਆ॥
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਦਾਤਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ, (ਮਾਨੋ) ਸਾਰੇ ਰੰਗ ਮਾਣ ਲਈਦੇ ਹਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇ ਟਾਕਰੇ ਤੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਫਿੱਕੇ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ)
Meditating, meditating in remembrance on the Great Giver, I enjoy all comforts and pleasures.
ਪਰਗਟੁਭਇਆਸੰਸਾਰਿਮਿਹਰਛਾਵਾਣਿਆ॥
(ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਉੱਘਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦਾ ਸਾਇਬਾਨ ਉਸ ਉਤੇ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਤਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
I have become famous throughout the world, under the canopy of His kindness and grace.
ਆਪੇਬਖਸਿਮਿਲਾਏਸਦਕੁਰਬਾਣਿਆ॥
ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ, ਉਹ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
He Himself has forgiven me, and united me with Himself; I am forever a sacrifice to Him.
ਨਾਨਕਲਏਮਿਲਾਇਖਸਮੈਭਾਣਿਆ॥੨੭॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਬੰਦੇ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੭॥
O Nanak, by the Pleasure of His Will, my Lord and Master has blended me with Himself. ||27||

ਧੰਨੁਸੁਕਾਗਦੁਕਲਮਧੰਨੁਧਨੁਭਾਂਡਾਧਨੁਮਸੁ॥
ਮੁਬਾਰਿਕ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਕਾਗ਼ਜ ਤੇ ਕਲਮ, ਮੁਬਾਰਿਕ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਦਵਾਤ ਤੇ ਸਿਆਹੀ;
Blessed is the paper, blessed is the pen, blessed is the inkwell, and blessed is the ink.
ਧਨੁਲੇਖਾਰੀਨਾਨਕਾਜਿਨਿਨਾਮੁਲਿਖਾਇਆਸਚੁ॥੧॥
ਤੇ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮੁਬਾਰਿਕ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਲਿਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਖਾਇਆ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਲਿਖਾਈ) ॥੧॥
Blessed is the writer, O Nanak, who writes the True Name. ||1||

ਆਪੇਪਟੀਕਲਮਆਪਿਉਪਰਿਲੇਖੁਭਿਤੂੰ॥
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪੱਟੀ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕਲਮ ਹੈਂ, (ਪੱਟੀ ਉਤੇ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ) ਲੇਖ ਭੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ।
You Yourself are the writing tablet, and You Yourself are the pen. You are also what is written on it.
ਏਕੋਕਹੀਐਨਾਨਕਾਦੂਜਾਕਾਹੇਕੂ॥੨॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਕਾਰਣ ਵਾਲਾ) ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਆਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜਾ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ॥੨॥
Speak of the One Lord, O Nanak; how could there be any other? ||2||

Pauree:
ਤੂੰਆਪੇਆਪਿਵਰਤਦਾਆਪਿਬਣਤਬਣਾਈ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਬਣਤਰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈਂ;
You Yourself are all-pervading; You Yourself made the making.
ਤੁਧੁਬਿਨੁਦੂਜਾਕੋਨਹੀਤੂਰਹਿਆਸਮਾਈ॥
ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਗੁਪਤ ਵਰਤ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ।
Without You, there is no other at all; You are permeating and pervading everywhere.
ਤੇਰੀਗਤਿਮਿਤਿਤੂਹੈਜਾਣਦਾਤੁਧੁਕੀਮਤਿਪਾਈ॥
ਤੂੰ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ ਕੇਡਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈਂ-ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਆਪਣਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
You alone know Your state and extent. Only You can estimate Your worth.
ਤੂਅਲਖਅਗੋਚਰੁਅਗਮੁਹੈਗੁਰਮਤਿਦਿਖਾਈ॥
ਤੂੰ ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ (ਮਾਨੁਖੀ) ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਹੈਂ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮੱਤ ਤੇਰਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਕਰਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
You are invisible, imperceptible and inaccessible. You are revealed through the Guru's Teachings.
ਅੰਤਰਿਅਗਿਆਨੁਦੁਖੁਭਰਮੁਹੈਗੁਰਗਿਆਨਿਗਵਾਈ॥
ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਜੋ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਦੁੱਖ ਤੇ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਹੈ ਇਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Deep within, there is ignorance, suffering and doubt; through the spiritual wisdom of the Guru, they are eradicated.
ਜਿਸੁਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਕਰਹਿਤਿਸੁਮੇਲਿਲੈਹਿਸੋਨਾਮੁਧਿਆਈ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਉਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
He alone meditates on the Naam, whom You unite with Yourself, in Your Mercy.
ਤੂਕਰਤਾਪੁਰਖੁਅਗੰਮੁਹੈਰਵਿਆਸਭਠਾਈ॥
ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਬਣਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈਂ (ਫਿਰ ਭੀ) ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇ ਹੈਂ ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ ਵਿਆਪਕ।
You are the Creator, the Inaccessible Primal Lord God; You are all-pervading everywhere.
ਜਿਤੁਤੂਲਾਇਹਿਸਚਿਆਤਿਤੁਕੋਲਗੈਨਾਨਕਗੁਣਗਾਈ॥੨੮॥੧॥ਸੁਧੁ
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਹੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਧਰ ਤੂੰ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਓਧਰ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੂੰ (ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ) ਉਹੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੮॥੧॥ਸੁਧੁ
