ਨਾਨਕਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਨਾਮਿਸਮਾਹਾ॥੪॥੨॥੧੧॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨਤਾ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੧॥
O Nanak, the Gurmukh merges in the Naam. ||4||2||11||
ਮਲਾਰਮਹਲਾ੩॥
Malaar, Third Mahalaa:
ਜੀਵਤਮੁਕਤਗੁਰਮਤੀਲਾਗੇ॥
ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮੱਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਤ-ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੀ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those who are attached to the Guru's Teachings, are Jivan-mukta, liberated while yet alive.
ਹਰਿਕੀਭਗਤਿਅਨਦਿਨੁਸਦਜਾਗੇ॥
ਉਹ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਹੱਲਿਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
They remain forever awake and aware night and day, in devotional worship of the Lord.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁਸੇਵਹਿਆਪੁਗਵਾਇ॥
ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
They serve the True Guru, and eradicate their self-conceit.
ਹਉਤਿਨਜਨਕੇਸਦਲਾਗਉਪਾਇ॥੧॥
ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਦਾ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥
I fall at the feet of such humble beings. ||1||
ਹਉਜੀਵਾਂਸਦਾਹਰਿਕੇਗੁਣਗਾਈ॥
ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
Constantly singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, I live.
ਗੁਰਕਾਸਬਦੁਮਹਾਰਸੁਮੀਠਾਹਰਿਕੈਨਾਮਿਮੁਕਤਿਗਤਿਪਾਈ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁਆਦਲਾ ਹੈ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
The Word of the Guru's Shabad is such totally sweet elixir. Through the Name of the Lord, I have attained the state of liberation. ||1||Pause||
ਮਾਇਆਮੋਹੁਅਗਿਆਨੁਗੁਬਾਰੁ॥
ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ (ਜੀਵਨ-ਸਫ਼ਰ ਵਿਚ) ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਬੇ-ਸਮਝੀ ਹੈ, ਘੁੱਪ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਹੈ।
Attachment to Maya leads to the darkness of ignorance.
ਮਨਮੁਖਮੋਹੇਮੁਗਧਗਵਾਰ॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
The self-willed manmukhs are attached, foolish and ignorant.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁਧੰਧਾਕਰਤਵਿਹਾਇ॥
ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਾਲੇ ਧੰਧੇ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਗੁਜ਼ਰਦੀ ਹੈ,
Night and day, their lives pass away in worldly entanglements.
ਮਰਿਮਰਿਜੰਮਹਿਮਿਲੈਸਜਾਇ॥੨॥
ਉਹ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ-ਇਹ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
They die and die again and again, only to be reborn and receive their punishment. ||2||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਰਾਮਨਾਮਿਲਿਵਲਾਈ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
The Gurmukh is lovingly attuned to the Name of the Lord.
ਕੂੜੈਲਾਲਚਿਨਾਲਪਟਾਈ॥
ਉਹ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਫਸਦਾ।
He does not cling to false greed.
ਜੋਕਿਛੁਹੋਵੈਸਹਜਿਸੁਭਾਇ॥
(ਰਜ਼ਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ) ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵਾਪਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ (ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਸਹਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ)।
Whatever he does, he does with intuitive poise.
ਹਰਿਰਸੁਪੀਵੈਰਸਨਰਸਾਇ॥੩॥
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਆਦ ਲੈ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪੀਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
He drinks in the sublime essence of the Lord; his tongue delights in its flavor. ||3||
ਕੋਟਿਮਧੇਕਿਸਹਿਬੁਝਾਈ॥
ਪਰ, ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਇਹ ਸੂਝ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
Among millions, hardly any understand.
ਆਪੇਬਖਸੇਦੇਵਡਿਆਈ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਇਹ ਦਾਤਿ) ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Lord Himself forgives, and bestows His glorious greatness.
ਜੋਧੁਰਿਮਿਲਿਆਸੁਵਿਛੁੜਿਨਜਾਈ॥
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਧੁਰ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਤੋਂ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਕਦੇ ਵਿੱਛੁੜਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ।
Whoever meets with the Primal Lord God, shall never be separated again.
ਨਾਨਕਹਰਿਹਰਿਨਾਮਿਸਮਾਈ॥੪॥੩॥੧੨॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩॥੧੨॥
Nanak is absorbed in the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||4||3||12||
ਮਲਾਰਮਹਲਾ੩॥
Malaar, Third Mahalaa:
ਰਸਨਾਨਾਮੁਸਭੁਕੋਈਕਹੈ॥
(ਉਂਞ ਤਾਂ) ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
Everyone speaks the Name of the Lord with the tongue.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁਸੇਵੇਤਾਨਾਮੁਲਹੈ॥
ਪਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ (-ਧਨ) ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
But only by serving the True Guru does the mortal receive the Name.
ਬੰਧਨਤੋੜੇਮੁਕਤਿਘਰਿਰਹੈ॥
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ) ਬੰਧਨ ਤੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਹੋਈ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
His bonds are shattered, and he stays in the house of liberation.
ਗੁਰਸਬਦੀਅਸਥਿਰੁਘਰਿਬਹੈ॥੧॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਡੋਲ-ਚਿੱਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, he sits in the eternal, unchanging house. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇਮਨਕਾਹੇਰੋਸੁਕਰੀਜੈ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਲੋਂ) ਰੋਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।
O my mind, why are you angry?
ਲਾਹਾਕਲਜੁਗਿਰਾਮਨਾਮੁਹੈਗੁਰਮਤਿਅਨਦਿਨੁਹਿਰਦੈਰਵੀਜੈ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਹੀ ਅਸਲ) ਖੱਟੀ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮੱਤ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
In this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, the Lord's Name is the source of profit. Contemplate and appreciate the Guru's Teachings within your heart, night and day. ||1||Pause||
ਬਾਬੀਹਾਖਿਨੁਖਿਨੁਬਿਲਲਾਇ॥
(ਜਿਵੇਂ ਵਰਖਾ ਦੀ ਬੂੰਦ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਪਪੀਹਾ ਹਰ ਖਿਨ ਤਰਲੇ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
Each and every instant, the rainbird cries and calls.
ਬਿਨੁਪਿਰਦੇਖੇਨਂੀਦਨਪਾਇ॥
(ਤਿਵੇਂ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ।
Without seeing her Beloved, she does not sleep at all.
ਇਹੁਵੇਛੋੜਾਸਹਿਆਨਜਾਇ॥
(ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਇਹ ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ਸਹਾਰਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ।
She cannot endure this separation.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁਮਿਲੈਤਾਂਮਿਲੈਸੁਭਾਇ॥੨॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਜੀਵ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ (ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
When she meets the True Guru, then she intuitively meets her Beloved. ||2||
ਨਾਮਹੀਣੁਬਿਨਸੈਦੁਖੁਪਾਇ॥
ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਂਜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਸਹੇੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਦੁੱਖ ਸਹਿੰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
Lacking the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the mortal suffers and dies.
ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾਜਲਿਆਭੂਖਨਜਾਇ॥
(ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ) ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ-ਅੱਗ ਵਿਚ ਸੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਇਹ) ਭੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ।
He is burnt in the fire of desire, and his hunger does not depart.
ਵਿਣੁਭਾਗਾਨਾਮੁਨਪਾਇਆਜਾਇ॥
ਉੱਚੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ।
Without good destiny, he cannot find the Naam.
ਬਹੁਬਿਧਿਥਾਕਾਕਰਮਕਮਾਇ॥੩॥
(ਤੀਰਥ-ਜਾਤ੍ਰਾ ਆਦਿਕ ਮਿੱਥੇ ਹੋਏ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ) ਕਰਮ ਕਈ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਮਾ ਕਮਾ ਕੇ ਥੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
He performs all sorts of rituals until he is exhausted. ||3||
ਤ੍ਰੈਗੁਣਬਾਣੀਬੇਦਬੀਚਾਰੁ॥
(ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਆਦਿਕ ਲੋਕ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ) ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੀ ਵੇਦ ਆਦਿਕ ਧਰਮ-ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ,
The mortal thinks about the Vedic teachings of the three gunas, the three dispositions.
ਬਿਖਿਆਮੈਲੁਬਿਖਿਆਵਾਪਾਰੁ॥
(ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ) ਮਾਇਆ (ਦੇ ਮੋਹ) ਦੀ ਮੈਲ (ਸਦਾ ਚੰਬੜੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ)। (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਨੂੰ) ਮਾਇਆ ਕਮਾਣ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਵਪਾਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
He deals in corruption, filth and vice.
ਮਰਿਜਨਮਹਿਫਿਰਿਹੋਹਿਖੁਆਰੁ॥
(ਅਜਿਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਖ਼ੁਆਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
He dies, only to be reborn; he is ruined over and over again.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਤੁਰੀਆਗੁਣੁਉਰਿਧਾਰੁ॥੪॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਗੁਣ ਉਸ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਾਂਹ ਹੈ ॥੪॥
The Gurmukh enshrines the glory of the supreme state of celestial peace. ||4||
ਗੁਰੁਮਾਨੈਮਾਨੈਸਭੁਕੋਇ॥
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਦਰ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
One who has faith in the Guru - everyone has faith in him.
ਗੁਰਬਚਨੀਮਨੁਸੀਤਲੁਹੋਇ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
Through the Guru's Word, the mind is cooled and soothed.
ਚਹੁਜੁਗਿਸੋਭਾਨਿਰਮਲਜਨੁਸੋਇ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਹੁੰਆਂ ਜੁਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕੀ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਬੇ-ਦਾਗ਼ ਸੋਭਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਸਲ ਭਗਤ।
Throughout the four ages, that humble being is known to be pure.
ਨਾਨਕਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਵਿਰਲਾਕੋਇ॥੫॥੪॥੧੩॥੯॥੧੩॥੨੨॥
ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫॥੪॥੧੩॥੯॥੧੩॥੨੨॥
O Nanak, that Gurmukh is so rare. ||5||4||13||9||13||22||
ਰਾਗੁਮਲਾਰਮਹਲਾ੪ਘਰੁ੧ਚਉਪਦੇ॥
ਰਾਗ ਮਲਾਰ, ਘਰ ੧ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਚਾਰ-ਬੰਦਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਾਣੀ।
Raag Malaar, Fourth Mahalaa, First House, Chau-Padas:
ੴਸਤਿਗੁਰਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ॥
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਅਨਦਿਨੁਹਰਿਹਰਿਧਿਆਇਓਹਿਰਦੈਮਤਿਗੁਰਮਤਿਦੂਖਵਿਸਾਰੀ॥
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮੱਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ (ਆਪਣੀ) ਮੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Night and day, I meditate on the Lord, Har, Har, within my heart; through the Guru's Teachings, my pain is forgotten.
ਸਭਆਸਾਮਨਸਾਬੰਧਨਤੂਟੇਹਰਿਹਰਿਪ੍ਰਭਿਕਿਰਪਾਧਾਰੀ॥੧॥
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਰੀ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਆਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਫੁਰਨਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਟੁੱਟ ਗਏ ॥੧॥
The chains of all my hopes and desires have been snapped; my Lord God has showered me with His Mercy. ||1||
ਨੈਨੀਹਰਿਹਰਿਲਾਗੀਤਾਰੀ॥
ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
My eyes gaze eternally on the Lord, Har, Har.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁਦੇਖਿਮੇਰਾਮਨੁਬਿਗਸਿਓਜਨੁਹਰਿਭੇਟਿਓਬਨਵਾਰੀ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਖਿੜ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਦਾਸ (ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ) ਬਨਵਾਰੀ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Gazing on the True Guru, my mind blossoms forth. I have met with the Lord, the Lord of the World. ||1||Pause||
