ਹਰਿਕੇਸੰਤਸਦਾਥਿਰੁਪੂਜਹੁਜੋਹਰਿਨਾਮੁਜਪਾਤ॥
(ਹੇ ਬੰਦੇ! ਜਨਮ-ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਗੇੜ ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੈ, ਸਿਰਫ਼) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੰਤ ਹੀ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਅਟੱਲ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ (ਜੋ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ), ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੋ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਆਪ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਜਪਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
The Lord's Saints are steady and stable forever; they worship and adore Him, and chant the Lord's Name.
ਜਿਨਕਉਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਕਰਤਹੈਗੋਬਿਦੁਤੇਸਤਸੰਗਿਮਿਲਾਤ॥੩॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਐਸੇ) ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
Those who are mercifully blessed by the Lord of the Universe, join the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation. ||3||
ਮਾਤਪਿਤਾਬਨਿਤਾਸੁਤਸੰਪਤਿਅੰਤਿਨਚਲਤਸੰਗਾਤ॥
ਹੇ ਕਮਲੇ! ਮਾਂ, ਪਿਉ, ਵਹੁਟੀ, ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਧਨ-ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਅਖ਼ੀਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੁਰਦਾ।
Mother, father, spouse, children and wealth will not go along with you in the end.
ਕਹਤਕਬੀਰੁਰਾਮਭਜੁਬਉਰੇਜਨਮੁਅਕਾਰਥਜਾਤ॥੪॥੧॥
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ (ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਸਾਥੀ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ, (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧॥
Says Kabeer, meditate and vibrate on the Lord, O madman. Your life is uselessly wasting away. ||4||1||
ਰਾਜਾਸ੍ਰਮਮਿਤਿਨਹੀਜਾਨੀਤੇਰੀ॥
ਹੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਮਹੱਲ ਵਾਲੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਮੈਥੋਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਕੁਦਰਤ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈ ਸਕਦਾ,
I do not know the limits of Your Royal Ashram.
ਤੇਰੇਸੰਤਨਕੀਹਉਚੇਰੀ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
(ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਹੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ; ਸੋ) ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਬਣੀ ਰਹਾਂ (ਇਹੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
I am the humble slave of Your Saints. ||1||Pause||
ਹਸਤੋਜਾਇਸੁਰੋਵਤੁਆਵੈਰੋਵਤੁਜਾਇਸੁਹਸੈ॥
(ਅਚਰਜ ਖੇਡ ਹੈ) ਜੋ ਹੱਸਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਰੋਂਦਾ (ਵਾਪਸ) ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਜੋ ਰੋਂਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਹੱਸਦਾ ਮੁੜਦਾ ਹੈ।
The one who goes laughing returns crying, and the one who goes crying returns laughing.
ਬਸਤੋਹੋਇਹੋਇਸੋੁਊਜਰੁਊਜਰੁਹੋਇਸੁਬਸੈ॥੧॥
ਜੋ ਕਦੇ ਵੱਸਦਾ (ਨਗਰ) ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉੱਜੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਉੱਜੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਥਾਂ ਵੱਸ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
What is inhabited becomes deserted, and what is deserted becomes inhabited. ||1||
ਜਲਤੇਥਲਕਰਿਥਲਤੇਕੂਆਕੂਪਤੇਮੇਰੁਕਰਾਵੈ॥
(ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਖੇਡ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਹੈ) ਪਾਣੀ (ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਰੇਤਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਬਰੇਤੇ ਤੋਂ ਖੂਹ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਖੂਹ (ਦੇ ਥਾਂ) ਤੋਂ ਪਹਾੜ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The water turns into a desert, the desert turns into a well, and the well turns into a mountain.
ਧਰਤੀਤੇਆਕਾਸਿਚਢਾਵੈਚਢੇਅਕਾਸਿਗਿਰਾਵੈ॥੨॥
ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਉਤੇ ਪਏ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਉਤੇ ਚਾੜ੍ਹ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਸਮਾਨ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਡੇਗ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
From the earth, the mortal is exalted to the Akaashic ethers; and from the ethers on high, he is thrown down again. ||2||
ਭੇਖਾਰੀਤੇਰਾਜੁਕਰਾਵੈਰਾਜਾਤੇਭੇਖਾਰੀ॥
ਮੰਗਤੇ (ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ) ਤੋਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਰਾਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਮੰਗਤਾ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ;
The beggar is transformed into a king, and the king into a beggar.
ਖਲਮੂਰਖਤੇਪੰਡਿਤੁਕਰਿਬੋਪੰਡਿਤਤੇਮੁਗਧਾਰੀ॥੩॥
ਮਹਾਂ ਪੂਰਖ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਤੋਂ ਮੂਰਖ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
The idiotic fool is transformed into a Pandit, a religious scholar, and the Pandit into a fool. ||3||
ਨਾਰੀਤੇਜੋਪੁਰਖੁਕਰਾਵੈਪੁਰਖਨਤੇਜੋਨਾਰੀ॥
(ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਜ਼ਨਾਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਮਰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਰਦਾਂ (ਦੀ ਬਿੰਦ) ਤੋਂ ਜੋ ਜ਼ਨਾਨੀਆਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
The woman is transformed into a man, and the men into women.
ਕਹੁਕਬੀਰਸਾਧੂਕੋਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁਤਿਸੁਮੂਰਤਿਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ॥੪॥੨॥
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ, ਉਹ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੨॥
Says Kabeer, God is the Beloved of the Holy Saints. I am a sacrifice to His image. ||4||2||
ਸਾਰੰਗਬਾਣੀਨਾਮਦੇਉਜੀਕੀ॥

ੴਸਤਿਗੁਰਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ॥
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਕਾਏਂਰੇਮਨਬਿਖਿਆਬਨਜਾਇ॥
ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ-ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਉਂ ਜਾ ਫਸਿਆ ਹੈਂ?
O mortal, why are you going into the forest of corruption?
ਭੂਲੌਰੇਠਗਮੂਰੀਖਾਇ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਤੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਵਿਚ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਠਗ-ਬੂਟੀ ਖਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
You have been misled into eating the toxic drug. ||1||Pause||
ਜੈਸੇਮੀਨੁਪਾਨੀਮਹਿਰਹੈ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੱਛੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ (ਬੇ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਰਹਿੰਦੀ-
You are like a fish living in the water;
ਕਾਲਜਾਲਕੀਸੁਧਿਨਹੀਲਹੈ॥
ਮੌਤ-ਜਾਲ ਦੀ ਸੋਝੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈਂਦੀ (ਭਾਵ, ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੀ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਜਾਲ ਮੇਰੀ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਣੇਗਾ),
you do not see the net of death.
ਜਿਹਬਾਸੁਆਦੀਲੀਲਿਤਲੋਹ॥
ਜੀਭ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਲੋਹੇ ਦੀ ਕੁੰਡੀ ਨਿਗਲ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਪਕੜੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ);
Trying to taste the flavor, you swallow the hook.
ਐਸੇਕਨਿਕਕਾਮਨੀਬਾਧਿਓਮੋਹ॥੧॥
ਤਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਤੂੰ ਸੋਨੇ ਤੇ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਬੱਝਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੈਂ (ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਸਹੇੜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ) ॥੧॥
You are bound by attachment to wealth and woman. ||1||
ਜਿਉਮਧੁਮਾਖੀਸੰਚੈਅਪਾਰ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੱਖੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ,
The bee stores up loads of honey;
ਮਧੁਲੀਨੋਮੁਖਿਦੀਨੀਛਾਰੁ॥
ਪਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਆ ਕੇ) ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਲੈ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਮੱਖੀ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਆਹ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਸ ਮੱਖੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਂਦਾ);
then someone comes and takes the honey, and throws dust in its mouth.
ਗਊਬਾਛਕਉਸੰਚੈਖੀਰੁ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਗਊ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਛੇ ਲਈ ਦੁੱਧ (ਥਣਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ,
The cow stores up loads of milk;
ਗਲਾਬਾਂਧਿਦੁਹਿਲੇਇਅਹੀਰੁ॥੨॥
ਪਰ ਗੁੱਜਰ ਗਲਾਵਾਂ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਦੁੱਧ ਚੋ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
then the milkman comes and ties it by its neck and milks it. ||2||
ਮਾਇਆਕਾਰਨਿਸ੍ਰਮੁਅਤਿਕਰੈ॥
ਤਿਵੇਂ ਮੂਰਖ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਬੜੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
For the sake of Maya, the mortal works very hard.
ਸੋਮਾਇਆਲੈਗਾਡੈਧਰੈ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਾ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਨੱਪ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
He takes the wealth of Maya, and buries it in the ground.
ਅਤਿਸੰਚੈਸਮਝੈਨਹੀਮੂੜੑ॥
ਮੂਰਖ ਬੜੀ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕਰੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ,
He acquires so much, but the fool does not appreciate it.
ਧਨੁਧਰਤੀਤਨੁਹੋਇਗਇਓਧੂੜਿ॥੩॥
ਕਿ ਧਨ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਦੱਬਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਮੌਤ ਆਇਆਂ) ਸਰੀਰ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
His wealth remains buried in the ground, while his body turns to dust. ||3||
ਕਾਮਕ੍ਰੋਧਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾਅਤਿਜਰੈ॥
(ਮੂਰਖ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਅਤੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਖਿੱਝਦਾ ਹੈ,
He burns in tremendous sexual desire, unresolved anger and desire.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿਕਬਹੂਨਹੀਕਰੈ॥
ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਸਾਧ-ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੈਠਦਾ।
He never joins the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਕਹਤਨਾਮਦੇਉਤਾਚੀਆਣਿ॥
ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਦੀ ਓਟ (ਲੈ),
Says Naam Dayv, seek God's Shelter;
ਨਿਰਭੈਹੋਇਭਜੀਐਭਗਵਾਨ॥੪॥੧॥
(ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਿੱਭਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ) ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧॥
be fearless, and vibrate on the Lord God. ||4||1||
ਬਦਹੁਕੀਨਹੋਡਮਾਧਉਮੋਸਿਉ॥
ਹੇ ਮਾਧੋ! ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਵੇਖ ਲੈ (ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸੱਚੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ)
Why not make a bet with me, O Lord of Wealth?
ਠਾਕੁਰਤੇਜਨੁਜਨਤੇਠਾਕੁਰੁਖੇਲੁਪਰਿਓਹੈਤੋਸਿਉ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਇਹ ਜਗਤ-ਖੇਡ ਤੇਰੀ ਤੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਖੇਡ ਹੈ, (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਮਾਲਕ ਤੋਂ ਸੇਵਕ ਤੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਤੋਂ ਮਾਲਕ (ਦੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਚਲਦੀ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ, ਜੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਸੇਵਕ ਬਣ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਜੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਮਾਲਕ ਅਖਵਾ ਸਕੇਗਾ। ਸੋ, ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
From the master comes the servant, and from the servant, comes the master. This is the game I play with You. ||1||Pause||
ਆਪਨਦੇਉਦੇਹੁਰਾਆਪਨਆਪਲਗਾਵੈਪੂਜਾ॥
ਹੇ ਮਾਧੋ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਦੇਵਤਾ ਹੈਂ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੰਦਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ) ਪੂਜਾ ਵਿਚ ਲਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
You Yourself are the deity, and You are the temple of worship. You are the devoted worshipper.
ਜਲਤੇਤਰੰਗਤਰੰਗਤੇਹੈਜਲੁਕਹਨਸੁਨਨਕਉਦੂਜਾ॥੧॥
ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ (ਉਠਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ), ਲਹਿਰਾਂ (ਦੇ ਮਿਲਣ) ਤੋਂ ਪਾਣੀ (ਦੀ ਹਸਤੀ) ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਆਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਤੇ ਸੁਣਨ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਵੱਖੋ-ਵੱਖ ਹਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਇਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਕਹਿਣ-ਮਾਤ੍ਰ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਇਹ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਹਨ) ॥੧॥
From the water, the waves rise up, and from the waves, the water. They are only different by figures of speech. ||1||
ਆਪਹਿਗਾਵੈਆਪਹਿਨਾਚੈਆਪਿਬਜਾਵੈਤੂਰਾ॥
(ਹੇ ਮਾਧੋ!) ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਨੱਚਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵਾਜਾ ਵਜਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
You Yourself sing, and You Yourself dance. You Yourself blow the bugle.
ਕਹਤਨਾਮਦੇਉਤੂੰਮੇਰੋਠਾਕੁਰੁਜਨੁਊਰਾਤੂਪੂਰਾ॥੨॥੨॥
ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਮਾਧੋ! ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ, (ਇਹ ਠੀਕ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ) ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ (ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ) ਛੋਟਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਹੈਂ (ਪਰ ਜੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਮਾਲਕ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਅਖਵਾਏਂ? ਸੋ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖ) ॥੨॥੨॥
Says Naam Dayv, You are my Lord and Master. Your humble servant is imperfect; You are perfect. ||2||2||
ਦਾਸਅਨਿੰਨਮੇਰੋਨਿਜਰੂਪ॥
ਜੋ (ਮੇਰਾ) ਦਾਸ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਉਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈ;
Says God: my slave is devoted only to me; he is in my very image.
ਦਰਸਨਨਿਮਖਤਾਪਤ੍ਰਈਮੋਚਨਪਰਸਤਮੁਕਤਿਕਰਤਗ੍ਰਿਹਕੂਪ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਪਲ ਭਰ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਤਿੰਨੇ ਹੀ ਤਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ (ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ) ਦੀ ਛੋਹ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤ ਦੇ ਜੰਜਾਲ-ਰੂਪ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
The sight of him, even for an instant, cures the three fevers; his touch brings liberation from the deep dark pit of household affairs. ||1||Pause||
ਮੇਰੀਬਾਂਧੀਭਗਤੁਛਡਾਵੈਬਾਂਧੈਭਗਤੁਨਛੂਟੈਮੋਹਿ॥
ਮੇਰੀ ਬੱਧੀ ਹੋਈ (ਮੋਹ ਦੀ) ਗੰਢ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਗਤ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਗਤ (ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੀ ਗੰਢ) ਬੰਨ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਖੁਲ੍ਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ।
The devotee can release anyone from my bondage, but I cannot release anyone from his.
