ਅਟਲਅਖਇਓਦੇਵਾਮੋਹਨਅਲਖਅਪਾਰਾ॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਹੇ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ! ਹੇ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ! ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼-ਰੂਪ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਾਲੇ! ਹੇ ਅਲੱਖ! ਹੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ!
You are eternal and unchanging, imperishable, invisible and infinite, O divine fascinating Lord.
ਦਾਨੁਪਾਵਉਸੰਤਾਸੰਗੁਨਾਨਕਰੇਨੁਦਾਸਾਰਾ॥੪॥੬॥੨੨॥
ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨ-ਧੂੜ-(ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ) ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਖ਼ੈਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਸਕਾਂ ॥੪॥੬॥੨੨॥
Please bless Nanak with the gift of the Society of the Saints, and the dust of the feet of Your slaves. ||4||6||22||
ਮਾਰੂਮਹਲਾ੫॥
Maaroo, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿਆਘਾਏਸੰਤਾ॥
ਉਹ (ਅਮੋਲਕ ਨਾਮ-ਲਾਲ ਵਿਹਾਝ ਕੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ) ਪੂਰਨ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਰੱਜ ਗਏ,
The Saints are fulfilled and satisfied;
ਗੁਰਜਾਨੇਜਿਨਮੰਤਾ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾ ਲਈ।
they know the Guru's Mantra and the Teachings.
ਤਾਕੀਕਿਛੁਕਹਨੁਨਜਾਈ॥
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ (ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਇਤਨੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ,
They cannot even be described;
ਜਾਕਉਨਾਮਬਡਾਈ॥੧॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
they are blessed with the glorious greatness of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||
ਲਾਲੁਅਮੋਲਾਲਾਲੋ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਇਕ ਐਸਾ ਲਾਲ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿਸੇ (ਦੁਨੀਆਵੀ) ਕੀਮਤ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ,
My Beloved is a priceless jewel.
ਅਗਹਅਤੋਲਾਨਾਮੋ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਜਿਹੜਾ (ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ) ਫੜਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦੀ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
His Name is unattainable and immeasurable. ||1||Pause||
ਅਵਿਗਤਸਿਉਮਾਨਿਆਮਾਨੋ॥
(ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ-ਲਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ) ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪਤੀਜ ਗਿਆ,
One whose mind is satisfied believing in the imperishable Lord God,
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਤਤੁਗਿਆਨੋ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਲੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
becomes Gurmukh and attains the essence of spiritual wisdom.
ਪੇਖਤਸਗਲਧਿਆਨੋ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਰੱਖਦਿਆਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ,
He sees all in his meditation.
ਤਜਿਓਮਨਤੇਅਭਿਮਾਨੋ॥੨॥
ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
He banishes egotistical pride from his mind. ||2||
ਨਿਹਚਲੁਤਿਨਕਾਠਾਣਾ॥
(ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ-ਲਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਅਟੱਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲ ਡੋਲਣੋਂ ਹਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ),
Permanent is the place of those
ਗੁਰਤੇਮਹਲੁਪਛਾਣਾ॥
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ (ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਲੈ ਕੇ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
who, through the Guru, realize the Mansion of the Lord's Presence.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁਗੁਰਮਿਲਿਜਾਗੇ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ) ਉਹ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਹੱਲਿਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ) ਸੁਚੇਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ,
Meeting the Guru, they remain awake and aware night and day;
ਹਰਿਕੀਸੇਵਾਲਾਗੇ॥੩॥
ਤੇ, ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
they are committed to the Lord's service. ||3||
ਪੂਰਨਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿਅਘਾਏ॥
(ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ-ਲਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ਉਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੂਰਨ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਰੱਜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ,
They are perfectly fulfilled and satisfied,
ਸਹਜਸਮਾਧਿਸੁਭਾਏ॥
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਬਣੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
intuitively absorbed in Samaadhi.
ਹਰਿਭੰਡਾਰੁਹਾਥਿਆਇਆ॥
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Lord's treasure comes into their hands;
ਨਾਨਕਗੁਰਤੇਪਾਇਆ॥੪॥੭॥੨੩॥
ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਇਹ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ) ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੭॥੨੩॥
O Nanak, through the Guru, they attain it. ||4||7||23||
ਮਾਰੂਮਹਲਾ੫ਘਰੁ੬ਦੁਪਦੇ॥
ਰਾਗ ਮਾਰੂ, ਘਰ ੬ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਦੋ-ਬੰਦਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਾਣੀ।
Maaroo, Fifth Mahalaa, Sixth House, Du-Padas:
ੴਸਤਿਗੁਰਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ॥
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਛੋਡਿਸਗਲਸਿਆਣਪਾਮਿਲਿਸਾਧਤਿਆਗਿਗੁਮਾਨੁ॥
ਸਾਰੀਆਂ (ਢੋਕੀਆਂ) ਚਤੁਰਾਈਆਂ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਹ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ।
Abandon all your clever tricks; meet with the Holy, and renounce your egotistical pride.
ਅਵਰੁਸਭੁਕਿਛੁਮਿਥਿਆਰਸਨਾਰਾਮਰਾਮਵਖਾਨੁ॥੧॥
ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰ। (ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਹੋਰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
Everything else is false; with your tongue, chant the Name of the Lord, Raam, Raam. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇਮਨਕਰਨਸੁਣਿਹਰਿਨਾਮੁ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਰ।
O my mind, with your ears, listen to the Name of the Lord.
ਮਿਟਹਿਅਘਤੇਰੇਜਨਮਜਨਮਕੇਕਵਨੁਬਪੁਰੋਜਾਮੁ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
(ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਤੇਰੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ (ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ) ਪਾਪ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਵਿਚਾਰਾ ਜਮ ਭੀ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ (ਜੋ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਡਰਾ ਸਕੇ)? ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
The sins of your many past lifetimes shall be washed away; then, what can the wretched Messenger of Death do to you? ||1||Pause||
ਦੂਖਦੀਨਨਭਉਬਿਆਪੈਮਿਲੈਸੁਖਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮੁ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ) ਦੁੱਖ, ਮੁਥਾਜੀ, (ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ) ਡਰ-(ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ) ਆਪਣਾ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
Pain, poverty and fear shall not afflict you, and you shall find peace and pleasure.
ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿਨਾਨਕੁਬਖਾਨੈਹਰਿਭਜਨੁਤਤੁਗਿਆਨੁ॥੨॥੧॥੨੪॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੀ ਅਸਲ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਹੈ (ਪਰ ਇਹ ਨਾਮ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ (ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੨॥੧॥੨੪॥
By Guru's Grace, Nanak speaks; meditation on the Lord is the essence of spiritual wisdom. ||2||1||24||
ਮਾਰੂਮਹਲਾ੫॥
Maaroo, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਜਿਨੀਨਾਮੁਵਿਸਾਰਿਆਸੇਹੋਤਦੇਖੇਖੇਹ॥
(ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ!) ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਹ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਸੜ ਕੇ) ਸੁਆਹ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਵੇਖੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those who have forgotten the Naam, the Name of the Lord - I have seen them reduced to dust.
ਪੁਤ੍ਰਮਿਤ੍ਰਬਿਲਾਸਬਨਿਤਾਤੂਟਤੇਏਨੇਹ॥੧॥
ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਮਿੱਤਰ, ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ (ਆਦਿਕ ਸਨਬੰਧੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀਆਂ) ਰੰਗ-ਰਲੀਆਂ (ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ)-ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਿਆਰ (ਆਖ਼ਿਰ) ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
The love of children and friends, and the pleasures of married life are torn apart. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇਮਨਨਾਮੁਨਿਤਨਿਤਲੇਹ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰ।
O my mind, continually, continuously chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਜਲਤਨਾਹੀਅਗਨਿਸਾਗਰਸੂਖੁਮਨਿਤਨਿਦੇਹ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
(ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੀ) ਅੱਗ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੜਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਤਨ ਵਿਚ ਦੇਹੀ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਖ-ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
You shall not burn in the ocean of fire, and your mind and body shall be blessed with peace. ||1||Pause||
ਬਿਰਖਛਾਇਆਜੈਸੇਬਿਨਸਤਪਵਨਝੂਲਤਮੇਹ॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਵੇਂ ਰੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਛਾਂ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, (ਛੇਤੀ ਬਦਲਦੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ) ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹਵਾ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਡਾ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਛਾਂ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਬਿਲਾਸ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਹਨ)।
Like the shade of a tree, these things shall pass away, like the clouds blown away by the wind.
ਹਰਿਭਗਤਿਦ੍ਰਿੜੁਮਿਲੁਸਾਧਨਾਨਕਤੇਰੈਕਾਮਿਆਵਤਏਹ॥੨॥੨॥੨੫॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਪੱਕੀ ਕਰ। ਇਹੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੨॥੨੫॥
Meeting with the Holy, devotional worship to the Lord is implanted within; O Nanak, only this shall work for you. ||2||2||25||

ਪੁਰਖੁਪੂਰਨਸੁਖਹਦਾਤਾਸੰਗਿਬਸਤੋਨੀਤ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਉਹ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ (ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇ) ਨਾਲ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
The perfect, primal Lord is the Giver of peace; He is always with you.
ਮਰੈਨਆਵੈਨਜਾਇਬਿਨਸੈਬਿਆਪਤਉਸਨਨਸੀਤ॥੧॥
ਉਹ ਨਾਹ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਾਹ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨਾਸ-ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ। ਨਾਹ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਹ ਗ਼ਮੀ-ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦੀ ॥੧॥
He does not die, and he does not come or go in reincarnation. He does not perish, and He is not affected by heat or cold. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇਮਨਨਾਮਸਿਉਕਰਿਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾਈ ਰੱਖ।
O my mind, be in love with the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਚੇਤਿਮਨਮਹਿਹਰਿਹਰਿਨਿਧਾਨਾਏਹਨਿਰਮਲਰੀਤਿ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ। ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਦਾ ਇਹੀ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Within the mind, think of the Lord, Har, Har, the treasure. This is the purest way of life. ||1||Pause||
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਦਇਆਲਗੋਪਾਲਗੋਬਿਦਜੋਜਪੈਤਿਸੁਸੀਧਿ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹੈ ਦਇਆ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਹੈ, ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਹੈ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ) ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Whoever meditates on the merciful compassionate Lord, the Lord of the Universe, is successful.
ਨਵਲਨਵਤਨਚਤੁਰਸੁੰਦਰਮਨੁਨਾਨਕਤਿਸੁਸੰਗਿਬੀਧਿ॥੨॥੩॥੨੬॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਨਵਾਂ ਹੈ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਨਵਾਂ ਹੈ), ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਹੈ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨਾਲ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰੋਈ ਰੱਖ ॥੨॥੩॥੨੬॥
He is always new, fresh and young, clever and beautiful; Nanak's mind is pierced through with His Love. ||2||3||26||

ਚਲਤਬੈਸਤਸੋਵਤਜਾਗਤਗੁਰਮੰਤ੍ਰੁਰਿਦੈਚਿਤਾਰਿ॥
ਤੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਫਿਰਦਿਆਂ, ਬੈਠਦਿਆਂ, ਸੁੱਤੇ ਪਿਆਂ, ਜਾਗਦਿਆਂ-ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖ।

ਚਰਣਸਰਣਭਜੁਸੰਗਿਸਾਧੂਭਵਸਾਗਰਉਤਰਹਿਪਾਰਿ॥੧॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ) ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈ, (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਤੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਹਿਂਗਾ ॥੧॥
Run to the Lord's lotus feet, and join the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. Cross over the terrifying world-ocean, and reach the other side. ||1||
