ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ॥
Soohee, First Mahalaa:
सूही महला १ ॥
Suji, Mejl Guru Nanak, Primer Canal Divino.
ਭਾਂਡਾ ਹਛਾ ਸੋਇ ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵਸੀ ॥
ਉਹੀ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
That vessel alone is pure, which is pleasing to Him.
भांडा हछा सोइ जो तिसु भावसी ॥
El cuerpo es puro en sí;
ਭਾਂਡਾ ਅਤਿ ਮਲੀਣੁ ਧੋਤਾ ਹਛਾ ਨ ਹੋਇਸੀ ॥
ਜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ (ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਬਹੁਤ ਗੰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਬਾਹਰੋਂ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਤੀਰਥ ਆਦਿਕ ਤੇ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਾਇਆਂ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਸੁੱਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ।
The filthiest vessel does not become pure, simply by being washed.
भांडा अति मलीणु धोता हछा न होइसी ॥
mas un cuerpo manchado no se limpia ni aun lavándolo.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਹੋਇ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਇਸੀ ॥
ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ (ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਵਾਲੀ) ਬਣੀਏ, ਤਾਂ ਹੀ (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ) ਅਕਲ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ।
Through the Gurdwara, the Guru's Gate, one obtains understanding.
गुरू दुआरै होइ सोझी पाइसी ॥
A Través del Gurdwara, la Puerta del Guru uno obtiene el Entendimiento,
ਏਤੁ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਧੋਇ ਹਛਾ ਹੋਇਸੀ ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਹੀ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ) ਧੋਤਿਆਂ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
By being washed through this Gate, it becomes pure.
एतु दुआरै धोइ हछा होइसी ॥
y lavándolo a través de esta Puerta, se vuelve Puro.
ਮੈਲੇ ਹਛੇ ਕਾ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ਆਪਿ ਵਰਤਾਇਸੀ ॥
(ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਟਿਕੀਏ ਤਾਂ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਹ (ਵਿਚਾਰਨ ਦੀ) ਸਮਝ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਹਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਮੰਦੇ।
The Lord Himself sets the standards to differentiate between the dirty and the pure.
मैले हछे का वीचारु आपि वरताइसी ॥
Aún la distinción entre lo pío y lo impío la hace sólo el Señor;
ਮਤੁ ਕੋ ਜਾਣੈ ਜਾਇ ਅਗੈ ਪਾਇਸੀ ॥
(ਜੇ ਇਸ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਸਮੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ) ਕੋਈ ਜੀਵ ਇਹ ਨਾਹ ਸਮਝ ਲਏ ਕਿ (ਇਥੋਂ ਖ਼ਾਲੀ-ਹੱਥ) ਜਾ ਕੇ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ (ਜੀਵਨ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ) ਮਿਲੇਗੀ।
Do not think that you will automatically find a place of rest hereafter.
मतु को जाणै जाइ अगै पाइसी ॥
no nos ilusionemos con la certeza de alcanzar de forma automática el reposo después de esta vida,
ਜੇਹੇ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਇ ਤੇਹਾ ਹੋਇਸੀ ॥
(ਇਹ ਇਕ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਨਿਯਮ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਥੇ) ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੇਹੋ ਜੇਹੇ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੋ ਜੇਹਾ ਉਹ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
According to the actions one has committed, so does the mortal become.
जेहे करम कमाइ तेहा होइसी ॥
pues uno se convierte en el resultado de sus propias acciones.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ਆਪਿ ਵਰਤਾਇਸੀ ॥
(ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਡਿੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਪ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ।
He Himself bestows the Ambrosial Name of the Lord.
अंम्रितु हरि का नाउ आपि वरताइसी ॥
El Mismo Señor confiere el Nombre Ambrosial del Señor,
ਚਲਿਆ ਪਤਿ ਸਿਉ ਜਨਮੁ ਸਵਾਰਿ ਵਾਜਾ ਵਾਇਸੀ ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦਾਤ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ) ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਸੁਚੱਜਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਖੱਟ ਕੇ ਇਥੋਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਦਾ ਵਾਜਾ (ਇਥੇ) ਵਜਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Such a mortal departs with honor and renown; his life is embellished and redeemed, and the trumpets resound with his glory.
चलिआ पति सिउ जनमु सवारि वाजा वाइसी ॥
y si lo hace, ese ser parte con Honor, su vida es embellecida y redimida, y las trompetas resuenan con Su Gloria.
ਮਾਣਸੁ ਕਿਆ ਵੇਚਾਰਾ ਤਿਹੁ ਲੋਕ ਸੁਣਾਇਸੀ ॥
ਕੋਈ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੀਹ? ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਖਿਲਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Why speak of poor mortals? His glory shall echo throughout the three worlds.
माणसु किआ वेचारा तिहु लोक सुणाइसी ॥
¿Por qué hablar de los pobres mortales? Su Gloria hará eco a través de los tres mundos.
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪਿ ਨਿਹਾਲ ਸਭਿ ਕੁਲ ਤਾਰਸੀ ॥੧॥੪॥੬॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ-ਚਿੱਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਤਾਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਸੋਭਾ ਦਿਵਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥੪॥੬॥
O Nanak, he himself shall be enraptured, and he shall save his entire ancestry. ||1||4||6||
नानक आपि निहाल सभि कुल तारसी ॥१॥४॥६॥
Oh, dice Nanak, él será bendecido y salvará a los suyos y a todas sus generaciones. (1-4-6)

ਜੋਗੀ ਹੋਵੈ ਜੋਗਵੈ ਭੋਗੀ ਹੋਵੈ ਖਾਇ ॥
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋਗੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਜੋਗ ਹੀ ਕਮਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜੋਗ ਕਮਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਹੀ ਰਸਤਾ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ), ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤੀ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਭੋਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਮਸਤ ਹੈ।
The Yogi practices yoga, and the pleasure-seeker practices eating.
जोगी होवै जोगवै भोगी होवै खाइ ॥
El Yogui practica Yoga, el hedonista continúa existiendo enfocado en los placeres sensoriales.
ਤਪੀਆ ਹੋਵੈ ਤਪੁ ਕਰੇ ਤੀਰਥਿ ਮਲਿ ਮਲਿ ਨਾਇ ॥੧॥
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤਪੀ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ (ਸਦਾ) ਤਪ (ਹੀ) ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਤੀਰਥ ਉਤੇ (ਜਾ ਕੇ) ਮਲ ਮਲ ਕੇ (ਭਾਵ, ਬੜੇ ਸਿਦਕ-ਸਰਧਾ ਨਾਲ) ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
The austere practice austerities, bathing and rubbing themselves at sacred shrines of pilgrimage. ||1||
तपीआ होवै तपु करे तीरथि मलि मलि नाइ ॥१॥
El penitente practica penitencias y lava su cuerpo en los lugares de peregrinaje. (1)
ਤੇਰਾ ਸਦੜਾ ਸੁਣੀਜੈ ਭਾਈ ਜੇ ਕੋ ਬਹੈ ਅਲਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
(ਪਰ) ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ)! ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹੀ ਸੁਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜੇ ਕੋਈ (ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ) ਬੈਠ ਜਾਏ ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾਵੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Let me hear some news of You, O Beloved; if only someone would come and sit with me, and tell me. ||1||Pause||
तेरा सदड़ा सुणीजै भाई जे को बहै अलाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Yo sólo busco escuchar Tu Llamado, oh Amor, si sólo alguien Lo recitara para mí. (1-Pausa)
ਜੈਸਾ ਬੀਜੈ ਸੋ ਲੁਣੇ ਜੋ ਖਟੇ ਸੋੁ ਖਾਇ ॥
(ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਜੇਹੋ ਜੇਹਾ ਬੀਜ ਬੀਜਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੋ (ਜੇਹਾ ਫਲ) ਵੱਢਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਖੱਟੀ-ਕਮਾਈ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜੋਗ ਭੋਗ ਤੇ ਤਪ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਹੀ ਪਰਵਾਨ ਹੈ)।
As one plants, so does he harvest; whatever he earns, he eats.
जैसा बीजै सो लुणे जो खटे सुो खाइ ॥
Lo que uno siembra, eso cosecha; lo que uno gana, eso come,
ਅਗੈ ਪੁਛ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਜੇ ਸਣੁ ਨੀਸਾਣੈ ਜਾਇ ॥੨॥
ਜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਪਰਵਾਨਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ (ਇਥੋਂ) ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਅਗਾਂਹ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ-ਟੋਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ॥੨॥
In the world hereafter, his account is not called for, if he goes with the insignia of the Lord. ||2||
अगै पुछ न होवई जे सणु नीसाणै जाइ ॥२॥
pero no se le pedirán cuentas después a aquél que parte con la Clave del Nombre del Señor. (2)
ਤੈਸੋ ਜੈਸਾ ਕਾਢੀਐ ਜੈਸੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਇ ॥
ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਹੋ ਜੇਹੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੋ ਜੇਹਾ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਪੰਧ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਇਹੀ ਨਿਯਮ ਹੈ। ਭਗਤ ਉਹੀ ਜੋ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋਗ ਭੋਗ ਜਾਂ ਤਪ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਭਗਤੀ-ਭਾਵ ਪੈਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ)।
According to the actions the mortal commits, so is he proclaimed.
तैसो जैसा काढीऐ जैसी कार कमाइ ॥
Uno es conocido a través de sus acciones
ਜੋ ਦਮੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਸੋ ਦਮੁ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਾਇ ॥੩॥
(ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ) ਜੇਹੜਾ ਸੁਆਸ (ਕਿਸੇ ਐਸੇ ਉੱਦਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਸੁਆਸ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
And that breath which is drawn without thinking of the Lord, that breath goes in vain. ||3||
जो दमु चिति न आवई सो दमु बिरथा जाइ ॥३॥
y todo momento en el que uno no disfruta del Señor, es tiempo perdido.(3)
ਇਹੁ ਤਨੁ ਵੇਚੀ ਬੈ ਕਰੀ ਜੇ ਕੋ ਲਏ ਵਿਕਾਇ ॥
(ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਵੱਟੇ ਵਿਚ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਵੇਚਣ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਾਂ ਮੁੱਲ ਦੇਣ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਾਂ।
I would sell this body, if someone would only purchase it.
इहु तनु वेची बै करी जे को लए विकाइ ॥
Me pondría en oferta para el Señor, si solamente Él me comprara.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕੰਮਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਜਿਤੁ ਤਨਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਸਚਾ ਨਾਉ ॥੪॥੫॥੭॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ (ਮਨੁੱਖਾ) ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਉਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ (ਉਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੀ ਗਿਆ ਸਮਝੋ ॥੪॥੫॥੭॥
O Nanak, that body is of no use at all, if it does not enshrine the Name of the True Lord. ||4||5||7||
नानक कंमि न आवई जितु तनि नाही सचा नाउ ॥४॥५॥७॥
Dice Nanak, de nada sirve el cuerpo si en él no se enaltece el Verdadero Nombre del Señor. (4-5-7)
ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ਘਰੁ ੭ ॥
ਰਾਗ ਸੂਹੀ, ਘਰ ੭ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ।

सूही महला १ घरु ७ ॥
Suji, Mejl Guru Nanak, Primer Canal Divino.
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Un Dios Creador del Universo, por la Gracia del Verdadero Guru
ਜੋਗੁ ਨ ਖਿੰਥਾ ਜੋਗੁ ਨ ਡੰਡੈ ਜੋਗੁ ਨ ਭਸਮ ਚੜਾਈਐ ॥
ਗੋਦੜੀ ਪਹਿਨ ਲੈਣਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਸਾਧਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਡੰਡਾ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਫੜ ਲਿਆਂ ਹਰੀ-ਮੇਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ, ਜੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਸੁਆਹ ਮਲ ਲਈਏ ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
Yoga is not the patched coat, Yoga is not the walking stick. Yoga is not smearing the body with ashes.
जोगु न खिंथा जोगु न डंडै जोगु न भसम चड़ाईऐ ॥
La Yoga no consiste en vestirse con harapos, ni en portar el bastón del Yogui, ni en untarse el cuerpo de cenizas;
ਜੋਗੁ ਨ ਮੁੰਦੀ ਮੂੰਡਿ ਮੁਡਾਇਐ ਜੋਗੁ ਨ ਸਿੰਙੀ ਵਾਈਐ ॥
(ਕੰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਮੁੰਦ੍ਰਾਂ ਪਾਇਆਂ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਮੇਲ ਨਹੀਂ, ਜੇ ਸਿਰ ਮੁਨਾ ਲਈਏ ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ, ਸਿੰਙੀ ਵਜਾਇਆਂ ਭੀ ਜੋਗ ਸਿੱਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ।
Yoga is not the ear-rings, and not the shaven head. Yoga is not the blowing of the horn.
जोगु न मुंदी मूंडि मुडाइऐ जोगु न सिंङी वाईऐ ॥
tampoco, en usar aretes, ni en rasurarse la cabeza, ni en soplar el corno.
ਅੰਜਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨਿ ਰਹੀਐ ਜੋਗ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਇਵ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੧॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਢੰਗ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੀ ਕਾਲਖ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਹੀਏ ॥੧॥
Remaining unblemished in the midst of the filth of the world - this is the way to attain Yoga. ||1||
अंजन माहि निरंजनि रहीऐ जोग जुगति इव पाईऐ ॥१॥
Es permaneciendo desapegado en medio de la suciedad del mundo, la forma como se obtiene el Verdadero Estado de Yoga. (1)
ਗਲੀ ਜੋਗੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥
ਨਿਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
By mere words, Yoga is not attained.
गली जोगु न होई ॥
Con sólo palabras y discursos claros, la Yoga no es obtenida,
ਏਕ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਕਰਿ ਸਮਸਰਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਜੋਗੀ ਕਹੀਐ ਸੋਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋਗੀ ਅਖਵਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਇਕੋ ਜੇਹੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਸਭ (ਜੀਵਾਂ) ਨੂੰ ਬਰਾਬਰ (ਦੇ ਇਨਸਾਨ) ਸਮਝੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
One who looks upon all with a single eye, and knows them to be one and the same - he alone is known as a Yogi. ||1||Pause||
एक द्रिसटि करि समसरि जाणै जोगी कहीऐ सोई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
quien contempla todo con mirada equitativa y sabe que todo es uno y lo mismo, sólo él es el verdadero Yogui.(1-Pausa)
ਜੋਗੁ ਨ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਮੜੀ ਮਸਾਣੀ ਜੋਗੁ ਨ ਤਾੜੀ ਲਾਈਐ ॥
(ਘਰੋਂ) ਬਾਹਰ ਮੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਾਣਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਮੇਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਸਮਾਧੀਆਂ ਲਾਇਆਂ ਭੀ ਰੱਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ।
Yoga is not wandering to the tombs of the dead; Yoga is not sitting in trances.
जोगु न बाहरि मड़ी मसाणी जोगु न ताड़ी लाईऐ ॥
Yoga no es rendir culto en tumbas o crematorios, ni buscar el trance mental.
ਜੋਗੁ ਨ ਦੇਸਿ ਦਿਸੰਤਰਿ ਭਵਿਐ ਜੋਗੁ ਨ ਤੀਰਥਿ ਨਾਈਐ ॥
ਜੇ ਦੇਸ ਪਰਦੇਸ ਵਿਚ ਭੌਂਦੇ ਫਿਰੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ। ਤੀਰਥ ਉਤੇ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ।
Yoga is not wandering through foreign lands; Yoga is not bathing at sacred shrines of pilgrimage.
जोगु न देसि दिसंतरि भविऐ जोगु न तीरथि नाईऐ ॥
Yoga no consiste en vagar por el mundo, ni en bañarse en los lugares de peregrinaje.
ਅੰਜਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨਿ ਰਹੀਐ ਜੋਗ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਇਵ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੨॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਢੰਗ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੀ ਕਾਲਖ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਹੀਏ ॥੨॥
Remaining unblemished in the midst of the filth of the world - this is the way to attain Yoga. ||2||
अंजन माहि निरंजनि रहीऐ जोग जुगति इव पाईऐ ॥२॥
Sólo permaneciendo puro en medio de la suciedad del mundo, es que se obtiene el Verdadero Estado de Yoga. (2)
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟੈ ਤਾ ਸਹਸਾ ਤੂਟੈ ਧਾਵਤੁ ਵਰਜਿ ਰਹਾਈਐ ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ ਤਾਂ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਸਹਿਮ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲ ਦੌੜਦੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਕੇ ਰੱਖ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ,
Meeting with the True Guru, doubt is dispelled, and the wandering mind is restrained.
सतिगुरु भेटै ता सहसा तूटै धावतु वरजि रहाईऐ ॥
Si uno encuentra al Guru Perfecto, sus dudas son suprimidas y así termina con la inquietud de la mente.
ਨਿਝਰੁ ਝਰੈ ਸਹਜ ਧੁਨਿ ਲਾਗੈ ਘਰ ਹੀ ਪਰਚਾ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
(ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਇਕ) ਚਸ਼ਮਾ ਚੱਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਡੋਲ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਰੌ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ; ਹਿਰਦੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Nectar rains down, celestial music resounds, and deep within, wisdom is obtained.
निझरु झरै सहज धुनि लागै घर ही परचा पाईऐ ॥
Entonces el Néctar es rociado, la Melodía Celestial resuena y en lo profundo del ser la Sabiduría es obtenida.
ਅੰਜਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨਿ ਰਹੀਐ ਜੋਗ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਇਵ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੩॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ ਜਾਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੀ ਕਾਲਖ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਹੀਏ ॥੩॥
Remaining unblemished in the midst of the filth of the world - this is the way to attain Yoga. ||3||
अंजन माहि निरंजनि रहीऐ जोग जुगति इव पाईऐ ॥३॥
Sí, conservándose puro en medio de la suciedad del mundo, es la forma de obtener el Estado Verdadero de Yoga. (3)
ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀਵਤਿਆ ਮਰਿ ਰਹੀਐ ਐਸਾ ਜੋਗੁ ਕਮਾਈਐ ॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਅੱਭਿਆਸ ਇਉਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਕਾਰ-ਵਿਹਾਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹਟੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, remain dead while yet alive - practice such a Yoga.
नानक जीवतिआ मरि रहीऐ ऐसा जोगु कमाईऐ ॥
Dice Nanak, permanece muerto en tu ego mientras vivas; practica tal Yoga
ਵਾਜੇ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਸਿੰਙੀ ਵਾਜੈ ਤਉ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
(ਜੋਗੀ ਤਾਂ ਸਿੰਙ ਦਾ ਵਾਜਾ ਵਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਸਿਮਰਨ-ਅੱਭਿਆਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਕ ਅਜੇਹਾ ਸੁਰੀਲਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ, ਮਾਨੋ) ਬਿਨਾ ਵਾਜਾ ਵਜਾਇਆਂ ਸਿੰਙ ਦਾ ਵਾਜਾ ਵੱਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। (ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣਨ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ਤਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਐਸੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦਾ।
When the horn is blown without being blown, then you shall attain the state of fearless dignity.
वाजे बाझहु सिंङी वाजै तउ निरभउ पदु पाईऐ ॥
que cuando el corno pueda ser tocado sin ser soplado,
ਅੰਜਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨਿ ਰਹੀਐ ਜੋਗ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਤਉ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੪॥੧॥੮॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੀ ਕਾਲਖ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਹਿ ਸਕੀਏ, ਤਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ ਜਾਚ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧॥੮॥

अंजन माहि निरंजनि रहीऐ जोग जुगति तउ पाईऐ ॥४॥१॥८॥
obtengas el Estado de vivir sin miedo y de forma Digna.(4-1-8)

ਕਉਣ ਤਰਾਜੀ ਕਵਣੁ ਤੁਲਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਕਵਣੁ ਸਰਾਫੁ ਬੁਲਾਵਾ ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਕੋਈ ਐਸੀ ਤੱਕੜੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੋਈ ਐਸਾ ਵੱਟਾ ਨਹੀਂ (ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ਾ ਲਾ ਸਕਣ), ਕੋਈ ਐਸਾ ਸਰਾਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ (ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ਾ ਲਾਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਸੱਦ ਸਕਾਂ।
What scale, what weights, and what assayer shall I call for You, Lord?
कउण तराजी कवणु तुला तेरा कवणु सराफु बुलावा ॥
¿Hay alguna balanza o pesa, oh Señor, para calcular Tu Gloria? ¿Hay algún instrumento para medir Tu Magnificencia?
ਕਉਣੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੈ ਪਹਿ ਦੀਖਿਆ ਲੇਵਾ ਕੈ ਪਹਿ ਮੁਲੁ ਕਰਾਵਾ ॥੧॥
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਐਸਾ ਉਸਤਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਜਿਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਪਵਾ ਸਕਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਮੁੱਲ ਪਾਣ ਦੀ ਜਾਚ ਸਿੱਖ ਸਕਾਂ ॥੧॥
From what guru should I receive instruction? By whom should I have Your value appraised? ||1||
कउणु गुरू कै पहि दीखिआ लेवा कै पहि मुलु करावा ॥१॥
Dime, ¿qué Guru me podrá instruir en Tu Conocimiento? ¿A quién puedo pedir que evalúe Tu Majestuosidad?(1)
