ਐ ਰੁਖ਼ਿ ਤੂ ਰੌਨਿਕਿ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰਿ ਸ਼ਮਆ ।
ਐ, ਤੇਰਾ ਮੁਖੜਾ ਸ਼ਮ੍ਹਾ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਰੌਣਕ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੈ,
O human being! You are one of the rays of the Divine glow, and become engulfed in divine radiance from head to toes,
ऐ रुक़ि तू रौनिकि बाज़ारि शमआ ।
ਅਸ਼ਕਿ ਰੇਜ਼ਿ ਚਸ਼ਮਿ ਗੌਹਰ-ਬਾਰਿ ਸ਼ਮਆ ।੪੬।੧।
ਸ਼ਮ੍ਹਾ ਦੀ ਮੋਤੀ ਵਸਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਅੱਖ ਅੱਥਰੂ ਕੇਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ।
Get rid of any worries or suspicions, and get inebriated permanently in His memory. (63)
अशकि रेज़ि चशमि गौहर-बारि शमआ ।४६।१।
ਮਹਰਮ ਹਰਫ਼ਾਤਿ ਊ ਰਾ ਗਸ਼ਤਾ ਅਸ਼ਤ ।
ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਛੁਪੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਖੁਬੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਜਦ ਪਤਾ ਚਲ ਗਿਆ,
How long would you be in the never-ending captivity of anxieties?
महरम हरफ़ाति ऊ रा गशता अशत ।
ਅਸ਼ਕ ਮੇ ਰੇਜ਼ਦ ਦਿਲਿ ਅਫ਼ਗਾਰਿ ਸ਼ਮਾਅ ।੪੬।੨।
ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਮੋਮ ਬੱਤੀ ਦੇ ਕੋਮਲ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਥਰੂ ਨਿਕਲ ਪਏ ।
Get rid of sorrows and griefs; remember the Lord and stay safe and secure for ever. (64)
अशक मे रेज़द दिलि अफ़गारि शमाअ ।४६।२।
ਹਰ ਕੁਜਾ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਚਰਾਗੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਅੰਦ ।
ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਣ ਨੇ ਦੀਵਾ ਬਾਲਿਆ ਹੈ,
What is distress and depression? It is the negligence of His meditation;
हर कुजा रौशन चरागे करदा अंद ।
ਯੱਕ ਗੁਲੇ ਬੂਦ ਅਸਤ ਅਜ਼ ਗੁਲਜ਼ਾਰਿ ਸ਼ਮਆ ।੪੬।੩।
ਮਾਨੋ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਮ੍ਹਾ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਫੁਲ ਹੈ ।
What is pleasure and joy? It is the remembrance of the Almighty of infinite dimensions. (65)
यक गुले बूद असत अज़ गुलज़ारि शमआ ।४६।३।
ਤਾ ਕਿਹ ਬਰ-ਅਫ਼ਰੋਖ਼ਤੀ ਰੁਖ਼ਸਾਰਿ ਖ਼ੁਦ ।
ਜਦ ਦਾ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੁਖੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ,
Do you know the meaning of the Illimitable?
ता किह बर-अफ़रोक़ती रुक़सारि क़ुद ।
ਮੀ ਸ਼ਵਦ ਕੁਰਬਾਨਿ ਤੂ ਸਦ ਬਾਰ ਸ਼ਮਆ ।੪੬।੪।
ਸ਼ਮ੍ਹਾ ਸੌ ਸੌ ਵਾਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੋਣ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ।
It is the Boundless, the Akaalpurakh, who is not subjected to births and deaths. (66)
मी शवद कुरबानि तू सद बार शमआ ।४६।४।
ਗਿਰਦਿ ਰੁਖ਼ਸਾਰਿ ਤੂ ਅਜ਼ ਬਹਿਰਿ ਨਿਸਾਰ ।
ਤੇਰੇ ਮੁਖੜੇ ਤੋਣ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ,
Every man and woman in his/her head is overwhelmed with His ardor;
गिरदि रुक़सारि तू अज़ बहिरि निसार ।
ਜਾਣ ਬਰੀਜ਼ਦ ਦੀਦਾਹਾਇ ਜ਼ਾਰਿ ਸ਼ਮਆ ।੪੬।੫।
ਸ਼ਮ੍ਹਾਣ ਦੀਆਣ ਰੋਣਦੀਆਣ ਅੱਖਾਣ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਕੇਰ ਰਹੀਆਣ ਹਨ ।
All this excitement in both the worlds is His creation. (67)
जाण बरीज़द दीदाहाइ ज़ारि शमआ ।४६।५।
ਬਸਕਿ ਇਮਸ਼ਬ ਨਾਮਦੀ ਅਜ਼ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ।
ਅੱਜ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਨਾ ਆਇਓੁਣ, ਤੇਰੀ ਭਾਰੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਹੈ,
It is the tongue of the saints and noble souls where He has made His abode;
बसकि इमशब नामदी अज़ इंतज़ार ।
ਸੋਖ਼ਤ ਮਹਿਫਲ ਚਸ਼ਮਿ ਆਤਿਸ਼ ਬਾਰਿ ਸ਼ਮਆ ।੪੬।੬।
ਸ਼ਮ੍ਹਾ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਸਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਅੱਖ ਨੇ ਮਹਿਫਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਸੁਟਿਆ ।
Or He abides in their hearts where there is constant remembrance of Him day and night. (68)
सोक़त महिफल चशमि आतिश बारि शमआ ।४६।६।
ਸੁਬਹ ਦਮ ਗੋਯਾ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਿਾਇ ਅਜੀਬ ।
ਗੋਯਾ ਤੜਕੇ ਸਵੇਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਬਚਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਨਜ਼ਾਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
The eyes of a meditator never open up to see anyone or anything else but Him;
सुबह दम गोया तमाशिाइ अजीब ।
ਜੁਮਲਾ ਆਲਮ ਖ਼ੁਫ਼ਤਾ ਓ ਬੇਦਾਰ ਸ਼ਮਆ ।੪੬।੭।
ਕਿ ਸਾਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤਾਣ ਸੁੱਤਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਮ੍ਹਾ ਜਾਗ ਰਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ।
And, his drop (of water), every breath, does not flow towards any other place except towards the vast ocean (the Akaalpurakh). (69)
जुमला आलम क़ुफ़ता ओ बेदार शमआ ।४६।७।
