ਮਿਸਲਿ ਦਹਾਨਿ ਤੰਗਿ ਤੂ ਤੰਗ ਸ਼ਕਰ ਨ ਬਾਸ਼ਦ ।
ਖੰਡ ਦੇ ਪਤਾਸੇ ਦਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੰਗ ਮੂੰਹ ਦੀ ਖੁਬਸੂਰਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਨਹੀਣ,
I have always found the abode of Akaalpurakh within my heart." (55) (3)
(The elation of) Begging in Your street, O Guru, is far better than any kingdom,
The enjoyment I got after I gave up my vanity and self-pride, was that of being the chief of two worlds." (55) (4)
मिसलि दहानि तंगि तू तंग शकर न बाशद ।
ਈ ਮਿਸਲ ਰਾ ਕਿ ਗੁਫ਼ਤਮ ਜ਼ੀਣ ਖ਼ੂਬਤਰ ਨ ਬਾਸ਼ਦ ।੩੨।੧।
ਹਾਲਾਣਕਿ ਸਭ ਨਾਲੋਣ ਚੰਗੀ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਇਹ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ।
Goyaa says, "I heard the monition in my ears the very first day,
That I have seen the end of the world in its beginning." (55) (5)
ई मिसल रा कि गुफ़तम ज़ीण क़ूबतर न बाशद ।३२।१।
ਬਾ ਹਿਜਰ ਆਸ਼ਨਾ ਸ਼ੌ ਗਰ ਤਾਲਿਬਿ ਵਸਾਲੀ ।
ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਤਾਲਬ ਹੈਣ ਤਾਣ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਦਾ ਵਾਕਫ ਬਣ,
Goya says, "I have no unfriendly expectations or desires from my friend and beloved,
I am not seeking any cure even for the anguish of my mind." (56) (1)
बा हिजर आशना शौ गर तालिबि वसाली ।
ਰਹ ਕੈ ਬਰੀ ਬਮੰਜ਼ਲ ਤਾ ਰਾਹਬਰ ਨ ਬਾਸ਼ਦ ।੩੨।੨।
ਉਹੀ ਤੇ ਰਾਹ ਦਿਖਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੜਾਉ ਤੱਕ ਕਿਵੇਣ ਪੁਜ ਸਕੇਣਗਾ ।
I am sick because of the Narcissus friend who has complete control on Narcissus itself as a slave,
रह कै बरी बमंज़ल ता राहबर न बाशद ।३२।२।
ਦਾਮਾਨਿ ਚਸ਼ਮ ਮਗੁਜ਼ਾਰ ਅਜ਼ ਦਸਤ ਹਮਚੂ ਮਿਜ਼ਗਾਣ ।
ਪਲਕਾਣ ਵਾਣਗ ਤੂੰ ਭੀ ਅੱਖਾਣ ਦਾ ਪੱਲਾ ਉਤਨੀ ਦੇਰ ਨ ਛੱਡ,
I do not hanker either for Khizar or Messiah who could play their part as healers of this illness." (56) (2)
Wherever I see, I see only the splendor of Your beauty,
In fact, I do not look for any other show except the glow of my Beloved. (56) (3)
When I am in the company of my beloved, I do not look at anyone else,
In fact, I do not even open my eyes in front of anyone else. (56) (4)
I sacrifice my life like a moth while fluttering around the oil-lamp,
But, I do not make any useless wails, screams and shrieks like a nightingale." (56) (5)
दामानि चशम मगुज़ार अज़ दसत हमचू मिज़गाण ।
ਤਾ ਜੇਬਿ ਆਰਜ਼ੂਹਾ ਪੁਰ ਅਜ਼ ਗੁਹਰ ਨ ਬਾਸ਼ਦ ।੩੨।੩।
ਜਦ ਤਕ ਕਿ ਤੇਰੀਆਣ ਆਸਾਣ ਦੀ ਜੇਬ ਮੋਤੀਆਣ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਭਰ ਜਾਵੇ ।
Goyaa says to himself, "Just keep quiet, do not utter even a word! The deal of my love for my Beloved is with my head,
As long as this head is there, this deal will not be annulled." (56) (6)
ता जेबि आरज़ूहा पुर अज़ गुहर न बाशद ।३२।३।
ਸ਼ਾਖ਼ਿ ਉਮੀਦਿ ਆਸ਼ਕਿ ਹਰਗਿਜ਼ ਸਮਰ ਨਹਿ ਗੀਰਦ ।
ਆਸ਼ਕ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਣੀ ਕਦੀ ਵੀ ਫਲਦੀ ਜਾਣ ਫੁਲਦੀ ਨਹੀਣ,
“I always spend my life's time in His remembrance; this life is meaningful only so long as we love the Truth,
शाक़ि उमीदि आशकि हरगिज़ समर नहि गीरद ।
ਅਜ਼ ਅਸ਼ਕਿ ਆਬਿ ਮਿਜ਼ਗਾਣ ਤਾਣ ਸਬਜ਼-ਤਰ ਨਹਿ ਬਾਸ਼ਦ ।੩੨।੪।
ਜਦ ਤਕ ਕਿ ਪਲਕਾਣ ਦੇ ਅਥਰੂਆਣ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਹੀਣ ਮਿਲਦਾ ।
And, I am chagrined but eternally grateful of the enormous obligations and kindnesses bestowed on me by my Master.” (57) (1)
अज़ अशकि आबि मिज़गाण ताण सबज़-तर नहि बाशद ।३२।४।
ਐ ਬੁਅਲਫ਼ਜ਼ੂਲ ਗੋਯਾ ਅਜ਼ ਇਸ਼ਕਿ ਊ ਮੱਜ਼ਨ ਦਮ ।
ਐ, ਮੂਰਖ ਗੋਯਾ, ਤੂੰ ਫਾਲਤੂ ਗੱਲਾਣ ਨ ਕਰ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਡੀਣਗ ਨ ਮਾਰ,
A self centered egoist does not accept nor believe in meditation,
ऐ बुअलफ़ज़ूल गोया अज़ इशकि ऊ मज़न दम ।
ਕੋ ਪਾ ਨਹਦ ਦਰੀਣ ਰਹਿ ਆਣ ਰਾ ਸਰ ਨਹਿ ਬਾਸ਼ਦ ।੩੨।੫।
ਇਸ ਰਸਤੇ ਤੇ ਉਹੀ ਪੈਰ ਰਖ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਿਰ ਪਹਿਲਾਣ ਹੀ ਕਟਾ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ।
However, Akaalpurakh is always the Master and we, the worldly earthlings, His slaves for ever. (57) (2)
को पा नहद दरीण रहि आण रा सर नहि बाशद ।३२।५।
