ਦਿਲਿ ਮਨ ਦਰ ਫ਼ਿਰਾਕਿ ਯਾਰ ਬਿਸੋਖ਼ਤ ।
ਮੇਰਾ ਦਿਲ ਸੱਜਨ ਦੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਹਾ ਵਿਚ ਸੜ ਗਿਆ,
Like Goyaa, those with wounds of your love and captivated by your devotion,
दिलि मन दर फ़िराकि यार बिसोक़त ।
ਜਾਨਿ ਮਨ ਬਹਿਰਿਆਣ ਨਿਗਾਰ ਬਿਸੋਖ਼ਤ ।੧੪।੧।
ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਣ ਉਸ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਸਾਈਣ ਲਈ ਸੜ ਮੋਈ ।
Always tune up their voices into melodies with your fragrance. (22) (8)
जानि मन बहिरिआण निगार बिसोक़त ।१४।१।
ਆਣ ਚੁਨਾਣ ਸੋਖ਼ਤਮ ਅਜ਼ਾਣ ਆਤਿਸ਼ ।
ਉਸ ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਣ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਸੜਿਆ ਹਾਣ,
O Guru, my good friend! Radiance of your eyes cannot be matched by the light of the day.
आण चुनाण सोक़तम अज़ाण आतिश ।
ਹਰ ਕਿ ਬਿਸ਼ੁਨੀਦ ਚੂੰ ਚਨਾਰ ਬਸੋਖ਼ਤ ।੧੪।੨।
ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸੁਣਿਆ, ਉਹ ਵੀ ਚਨਾਰ ਵਾਣਗ ਸੜ ਗਿਆ ।
Even the sun in the sky is no match to the refulgence of your face. (23) (1)
हर कि बिशुनीद चूं चनार बसोक़त ।१४।२।
ਮਨ ਨ ਤਿਨਹਾ ਬਿਸੋਖ਼ਤਮ ਅਜ਼ ਇਸ਼ਕ ।
ਮੈਣ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਣ ਸੜਿਆ,
To capture the heart of the beloved hunter of the death,
मन न तिनहा बिसोक़तम अज़ इशक ।
ਹਮਾ ਆਲਮ ਅਜ਼ੀਣ ਸ਼ਰਾਰ ਬਿਸੋਖ਼ਤ ।੧੪।੩।
ਸਗੋਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਹਾਨ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਚਿੰਗਾੜੀ ਨਾਲ ਸੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ।
There is no better snare like the noose of your ravishing lock of hair. (23) (2)
हमा आलम अज़ीण शरार बिसोक़त ।१४।३।
ਸੋਖਤਮ ਦਰ ਫ਼ਿਰਾਕਿ ਆਤਿਸ਼ਿ ਯਾਰ ।
ਸੱਜਨ ਦੇ ਬਿਰਹਾ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਿਚ ਸੜਨਾ,
This priceless life that we have been bestowed with should be considered as blessed,
सोखतम दर फ़िराकि आतिशि यार ।
ਹਮ ਚੁਨੰੀਣ ਕੀਮੀਆ ਬਕਾਰ ਬਿਸੋਖ਼ਤ ।੧੪।੪।
ਕੀਮੀਆ ਵਾਣਗ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਫਲ ਪਰਯੋਜਨ ਲਈ ਸੜਣਾ ਹੈ ।
Because, we have not yet seen a morning (youth) that did not have an evening (old age). (23) (3)
हम चुनींण कीमीआ बकार बिसोक़त ।१४।४।
ਆਫਰੀਣ ਬਾਦ ਬਰ ਦਿਲਿ ਗੋਯਾ ।
ਗੋਯਾ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਬਾਸ਼,
O Guru, heart of hearts! How long can I keep consoling my mind?
आफरीण बाद बर दिलि गोया ।
ਕਿ ਬ-ਉਮੀਦ ਰੂਇ ਯਾਰ ਬਿਸੋਖ਼ਤ ।੧੪।੫।
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿ ਸੱਜਨ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੜੇ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਸੜ ਗਿਆ ।
The fact is that I do not get any succor or comfort without getting a glimpse of your handsome face." (23) (4)
The gem-showering eye, O Goyaa, has become deep as an ocean,
The mind is not consoled without your comforting glimpse. (23) (5)
O Guru! Until your life-extending red lips do not utter some expression,
The cure for our pains and agonies cannot be produced." (24) (1)
