ਝੂਲਨਾ ਛੰਦ ॥
ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹ ਕੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਕੋਸ਼ ਅਰਥ ਵੇਖੋ
ਚੜੈਪਾਨਬਾਨੀਧਰੇਸਾਨਮਾਨੋਚਛਾਬਾਨਸੋਹੈਦੋਊਰਾਮਰਾਨੀ॥
ਸੀਤਾ ਦੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਬਾਣ ਵਾਂਗੂ ਸ਼ੋਭਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮਾਨੋ ਸਾਣ ਤੇ ਤੇਜ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਾਣ ਹੋਣ।
Ram looks glorious with the sharp arrows in his hands and Sita, the queen of Ram appears elegant with the beautiful arrows of her eyes.
चड़ै पान बानी धरे सान मानो चछा बान सोहै दोऊ राम रानी ॥
ਫਿਰੈਖਿਆਲਸੋਏਕਹਵਾਲਸੇਤੀਛੁਟੇਇੰਦ੍ਰਸੇਤੀਮਨੋਇੰਦ੍ਰਧਾਨੀ॥
(ਸੀਤਾ ਆਪਣੇ) ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੁੱਬੀ ਇੰਜ ਫਿਰ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਮਾਨੋ ਇੰਦਰ ਧਾਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਹਾ ਕੇ ਇੰਦਰ ਫਿਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
She roams with Ram, being absorbed into such thoughts as if having been ousted from his capital Indra was staggering hither and thither.
फिरै खिआल सो एक हवाल सेती छुटे इंद्र सेती मनो इंद्र धानी ॥
ਮਨੋਨਾਗਬਾਕੇਲਜੀਆਬਫਾਕੈਰੰਗੇਰੰਗਸੁਹਾਬਸੌਰਾਮਬਾਰੇ॥
ਸੀਤਾ ਦੀਆਂ (ਜ਼ੁਲਫ਼ਾਂ) ਮਾਨੋ ਕੁੰਡਲਦਾਰ ਸੱਪ ਹੋਣ, (ਹੋਠਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ) ਅੰਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਫਾੜੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਹੋਠ ਸੁਰਖ਼ ਰੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। (ਸੀਤਾ ਦੇ ਨੈਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ)
The loose hair of her braids, causing shyness to the glory of nagas, are becoming a sacrifice to Ram.
मनो नाग बाके लजी आब फाकै रंगे रंग सुहाब सौ राम बारे ॥
ਮ੍ਰਿਗਾਦੇਖਿਮੋਹੇਲਖੇਮੀਨਰੋਹੇਜਿਨੈਨੈਕਚੀਨੇਤਿਨੋਪ੍ਰਾਨਵਾਰੇ੨੯੭॥॥
ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੱਛੀ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਰਤਾ ਭਰ ਵੀ (ਉਹ ਨੈਣ) ਦੇਖ ਲਏ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਵਾਰਨੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ॥੨੯੭॥
The deers looking at her are allured by her, the fishes looking at her beauty are feeling jealous of her he, whoever had seen her, had sacrified himself for her.297.
म्रिगा देखि मोहे लखे मीन रोहे जिनै नैक चीने तिनो प्रान वारे ॥२९७॥
ਸੁਨੇਕੂਕਕੇਕੋਕਲਾਕੋਪਕੀਨੇਮੁਖੰਦੇਖਕੈਚੰਦਦਾਰੇਰਖਾਈ॥
(ਸੀਤਾ ਦੇ) ਬੋਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ, ਕੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਵੱਟ ਖਾਇਆ।
The nightingale, listening to her speech, is getting angry on account of jealousy and the moon looking at her face is feeling shy like women,
सुने कूक के कोकला कोप कीने मुखं देख कै चंद दारेर खाई ॥
ਲਖੇਨੈਨਬਾਕੇਮਨੈਮੀਨਮੋਹੈਲਖੇਜਾਤਕੇਸੂਰਕੀਜੋਤਿਛਾਈ॥
(ਸੀਤਾ ਦੇ) ਸੁੰਦਰ ਨੈਣ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮਾਨੋ ਮੱਛੀ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, (ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ) ਅੱਗੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਨਿਕਲੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਫਿੱਕੀ ਪੈ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
The fish is allured by seeing her eyes and her beauty seems like the extension of sunlight.
लखे नैन बाके मनै मीन मोहै लखे जात के सूर की जोति छाई ॥
ਮਨੋਫੂਲਫੂਲੇਲਗੇਨੈਨਝੂਲੇਲਖੇਲੋਗਭੂਲੇਬਨੇਜੋਰਐਸੇ॥
(ਮਸਤੀ ਨਾਲ) ਨੈਣ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਝੂਲਦੇ ਹਨ, ਨੈਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਜੋੜ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੈ। (ਹੇ ਸੀਤਾ)!
Seeing her eyes they appear like the blossomed lotus and all the people in the forest are extremely enchanted by her beauty.
मनो फूल फूले लगे नैन झूले लखे लोग भूले बने जोर ऐसे ॥
ਲਖੇਨੈਨਥਾਰੇਬਿਧੇਰਾਮਪਿਆਰੇਰੰਗੇਰੰਗਸਾਰਾਬਸੁਹਾਬਜੈਸੇ੨੯੮॥॥
ਤੇਰੇ ਨੈਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ (ਰਾਮ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੰਨੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਦੇ ਸੂਹੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ (ਮਤਵਾਲੇ) ਰੰਗੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨੯੮॥
O Sita! seeing your intoxicated eyes Ram himself seems pierced by them.298.
लखे नैन थारे बिधे राम पिआरे रंगे रंग साराब सुहाब जैसे ॥२९८॥
ਰੰਗੇਰੰਗਰਾਤੇਮਯੰਮਤਮਾਤੇਮਕਬੂਲਿਗੁਲਾਬਕੇਫੂਲਸੋਹੈਂ॥
(ਸੀਤਾ ਦੇ ਨੈਣ) ਲਾਲ ਰੰਗ ਦੇ ਰੱਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਦੀ ਮਸਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਤਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਮਨ ਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਗੁਲਾਬ ਦੇ ਫੁੱਲ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਪਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
Your eyes are intoxicated, having been dyed in your love and it seems that they are lovely roses.
रंगे रंग राते मयं मत माते मकबूलि गुलाब के फूल सोहैं ॥
ਨਰਗਸਨੇਦੇਖਕੈਨਾਕਐਂਠਾਮ੍ਰਿਗੀਰਾਜਕੇਦੇਖਤੈਂਮਾਨਮੋਹੈਂ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੈਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਨਰਗਿਸ ਨੇ ਨੱਕ ਚਾੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ) ਰਾਤ ਦਿਨ (ਸਬੋ-ਰੋਜ਼) ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਨੇ ਅਸਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
The narcissus flowers are expressing contempt with jealousy and the does on seeing her are feeling blow at their self-respect,
नरगस ने देख कै नाक ऐंठा म्रिगीराज के देखतैं मान मोहैं ॥
ਸਬੋਰੋਜਸਰਾਬਨੇਸੋਰਲਾਇਆਪ੍ਰਜਾਆਮਜਾਹਾਨਕੇਪੇਖਵਾਰੇ॥
(ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੈਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਹਾਨ ਵਾਰਨੇ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The wine in spite of all its strength is not feeling itself equivalent to thhe ardent passion of Sita in the whole world,
सबो रोज सराब ने सोर लाइआ प्रजा आम जाहान के पेख वारे ॥
ਭਵਾਤਾਨਕਮਾਨਕੀਭਾਤਪਿਆਰੀਨਿਕਮਾਨਹੀਨੈਨਕੇਬਾਨਮਾਰੇ੨੯੯॥॥
ਪਿਆਰੀ (ਸੀਤਾ) ਦੀਆਂ ਭਵਾਂ ਖਿੱਚੀ ਹੋਈ ਕਮਾਨ ਵਾਂਗ ਟੇਢੀਆਂ ਹਨ। (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੀਤਾ ਨੇ) ਕਮਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਨੈਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਤੀਰ ਮਾਰੇ ਹਨ ॥੨੯੯॥
Her eyebrows are lovely like the bow and from those eyebrows she is discharging the arrows of her eyes.299.
भवा तान कमान की भात पिआरीनि कमान ही नैन के बान मारे ॥२९९॥
