ਖਸਟਮਿਖਟਸਾਸਤ੍ਰਕਹਹਿਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿਕਥਹਿਅਨੇਕ॥
ਛੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ) ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤੀਆਂ (ਭੀ) ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ,
The sixth day of the lunar cycle: The six Shaastras say, and countless Simritees assert,
खसटमि खट सासत्र कहहि सिंम्रिति कथहि अनेक ॥
ਊਤਮੁਊਚੌਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁਗੁਣਅੰਤੁਨਜਾਣਹਿਸੇਖ॥
(ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ)। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਸਭ ਤੋਂ) ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਤੇ (ਸਭ ਤੋਂ) ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਉਸ ਤਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ)।
that the Supreme Lord God is the most sublime and lofty. Even the thousand-tongued serpent does not know the limits of His Glories.
ऊतमु ऊचौ पारब्रहमु गुण अंतु न जाणहि सेख ॥
ਨਾਰਦਮੁਨਿਜਨਸੁਕਬਿਆਸਜਸੁਗਾਵਤਗੋਬਿੰਦ॥
ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਨਾਗ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਸਕਦੇ। ਨਾਰਦ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ, ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਮੁਨੀ ਲੋਕ, ਸੁਖਦੇਵ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਆਸ (ਆਦਿਕ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ) ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

नारद मुनि जन सुक बिआस जसु गावत गोबिंद ॥
ਰਸਗੀਧੇਹਰਿਸਿਉਬੀਧੇਭਗਤਰਚੇਭਗਵੰਤ॥
ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਭਿੱਜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੋਤੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
They are imbued with the Lord's essence; united with Him; they are absorbed in devotional worship of the Lord God.
रस गीधे हरि सिउ बीधे भगत रचे भगवंत ॥
ਮੋਹਮਾਨਭ੍ਰਮੁਬਿਨਸਿਓਪਾਈਸਰਨਿਦਇਆਲ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਇਆ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ) ਮੋਹ, ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਤੇ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
Emotional attachment, pride and doubt are eliminated, when one takes to the Sanctuary of the Merciful Lord.
मोह मान भ्रमु बिनसिओ पाई सरनि दइआल ॥
ਚਰਨਕਮਲਮਨਿਤਨਿਬਸੇਦਰਸਨੁਦੇਖਿਨਿਹਾਲ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨ ਵੱਸ ਪਏ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਖਿੜ ਪਿਆ।
His Lotus Feet abide within my mind and body and I am enraptured, beholding the Blessed Vision of His Darshan.
चरन कमल मनि तनि बसे दरसनु देखि निहाल ॥
ਲਾਭੁਮਿਲੈਤੋਟਾਹਿਰੈਸਾਧਸੰਗਿਲਿਵਲਾਇ॥
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ (ਉੱਚਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰੂਪ) ਲਾਭ ਖੱਟ ਲਈਦਾ ਹੈ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਪਿਆਂ ਜੋ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਚ ਘਾਟ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ) ਘਾਟ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
People reap their profits, and suffer no loss, when they embrace love for the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
लाभु मिलै तोटा हिरै साधसंगि लिव लाइ ॥
ਖਾਟਿਖਜਾਨਾਗੁਣਨਿਧਿਹਰੇਨਾਨਕਨਾਮੁਧਿਆਇ॥੬॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਤੂੰ ਭੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ, ਤੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰ ॥੬॥
They gather in the treasure of the Lord, the Ocean of Excellence, O Nanak, by meditating on the Naam. ||6||
खाटि खजाना गुण निधि हरे नानक नामु धिआइ ॥६॥
