ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹ ਕੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਕੋਸ਼ ਅਰਥ ਵੇਖੋ
ਭਾਇਭਗਤਿਭੈਚਲਣਾਹੋਇਪਾਹੁਣਿਚਾਰੀ।
ਪ੍ਰਾਹੁਣ ਚਾਰੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ (ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ) ਚਲੇ ਜਾਣ (ਦੀ ਗੱਲ) ਜਾਣਕੇ (ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਾਣੇ)
Considering himself a guest, the sikh spends his life in loving devotion.
भाइ भगति भै चलणा होइ पाहुणिचारी ।
ਚਲਣੁਜਾਣਿਅਜਾਣੁਹੋਇਗਹੁਗਰਬੁਨਿਵਾਰੀ।
ਆਣ ਬਣਕੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਪਕੜ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਾ ਭਗਤੀ ਤੇ ਭੈ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰੇ।
They (Sikhs) remain unknown to deceit and pull out ego from their minds.
चलणु जाणि अजाणु होइ गहु गरबु निवारी ।
ਗੁਰਸਿਖਨਿਤਪਰਾਹੁਣੇਏਹੁਕਰਣੀਸਾਰੀ।
ਇਹ ਕਰਨੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖ (ਆਪ ਨੂੰ) ਪ੍ਰਾਹੁਣੇ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ।
Their true conduct is to treat themselves as guests in this world.
गुरसिख नित पराहुणे एहु करणी सारी ।
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਸੇਵਕਮਾਵਣੀਸਤਿਗੁਰੂਪਿਆਰੀ।
(ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕੇ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੁਆਰੇ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਰਨੀ (ਇਹ ਕਾਰ) ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਹੈ।
The object of the Gurmukh is service and only such action is loved by the Lord.
गुरमुखि सेव कमावणी सतिगुरू पिआरी ।
ਸਬਦਿਸੁਰਤਿਲਿਵਲੀਣਹੋਇਪਰਵਾਰਸੁਧਾਰੀ।
ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸੁਰਤ ਲਿਵਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਪਰ ਇੱਕਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਨਾਲ) ਪਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਲਵੇ।
Merging consciousness in the Word they reform the whole family (in the form of world).
सबदि सुरति लिव लीण होइ परवार सुधारी ।
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿਜਾਇਸਹਜਘਰਿਨਿਰਮਲਿਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੀ੪।।
(ਕਿੱਕੂੰ? ) ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਦਾ ਜੋ ਸਹਿਜ ਦਾ ਪਦ ਹੈ (ਉਥੇ) ਜਾ ਕੇ ਮੇਲ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ (ਹੋਕੇ ਇਕ) ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ।
Through holy congregation they become pure and formless and get established in the final stage of equipoise.
साधसंगति जाइ सहज घरि निरमलि निरंकारी ।४।
