रामकली महला ५ ॥
ਰੂਪਰੰਗਸੁਗੰਧਭੋਗਤਿਆਗਿਚਲੇਮਾਇਆਛਲੇਕਨਿਕਕਾਮਿਨੀ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਸੋਨਾ, ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਆਦਿਕ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਠੱਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਜੀਵ (ਆਖ਼ਰ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ) ਸੋਹਣੇ ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗ ਸੁਗੰਧੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਭੋਗ-ਪਦਾਰਥ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ (ਇਥੋਂ) ਤੁਰ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
You must abandon your beauty, pleasures, fragrances and enjoyments; beguiled by gold and sexual desire, you must still leave Maya behind. ||1||Pause||
रूप रंग सुगंध भोग तिआगि चले माइआ छले कनिक कामिनी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
ਭੰਡਾਰਦਰਬਅਰਬਖਰਬਪੇਖਿਲੀਲਾਮਨੁਸਧਾਰੈ॥
ਬੇਅੰਤ ਧਨ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਜ ਵੇਖ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ) ਮਨ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਢਾਰਸ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
You gaze upon billions and trillions of treasures and riches, which delight and comfort your mind,
भंडार दरब अरब खरब पेखि लीला मनु सधारै ॥
ਨਹਸੰਗਿਗਾਮਨੀ॥੧॥
(ਪਰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਚੀਜ਼ ਇਸ ਦੇ) ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ ॥੧॥
but these will not go along with you. ||1||
नह संगि गामनी ॥१॥
ਸੁਤਕਲਤ੍ਰਭ੍ਰਾਤਮੀਤਉਰਝਿਪਰਿਓਭਰਮਿਮੋਹਿਓਇਹਬਿਰਖਛਾਮਨੀ॥
ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ, ਭਰਾ, ਮਿੱਤਰ (ਆਦਿਕ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ) ਵਿਚ ਜੀਵ ਫਸਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਠੱਗਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ-ਪਰ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਰੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਛਾਂ (ਵਾਂਗ) ਹੈ।
Entangled with children, spouse, siblings and friends, you are enticed and fooled; these pass like the shadow of a tree.
सुत कलत्र भ्रात मीत उरझि परिओ भरमि मोहिओ इह बिरख छामनी ॥
ਚਰਨਕਮਲਸਰਨਨਾਨਕਸੁਖੁਸੰਤਭਾਵਨੀ॥੨॥੨॥੬੦॥
(ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਹੀ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੨॥੬੦॥
Nanak seeks the Sanctuary of His lotus feet; He has found peace in the faith of the Saints. ||2||2||60||
