ਭੈਨਾਸਨਦੁਰਮਤਿਹਰਨਕਲਿਮਹਿਹਰਿਕੋਨਾਮੁ॥
ਇਸ ਕਲੇਸ਼ਾਂ-ਭਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਹੀ) ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਖੋਟੀ ਮੱਤ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
In this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, the Name of the Lord is the Destroyer of fear, the Eradicator of evil-mindedness.
भै नासन दुरमति हरन कलि महि हरि को नामु ॥
ਨਿਸਿਦਿਨੁਜੋਨਾਨਕਭਜੈਸਫਲਹੋਹਿਤਿਹਕਾਮ॥੨੦॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਰਾਤ ਦਿਨ ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਨੇਪਰੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨੦॥
Night and day, O Nanak, whoever vibrates and meditates on the Lord's Name, sees all of his works brought to fruition. ||20||
