ਨਾਨਕਬਿਜੁਲੀਆਚਮਕੰਨਿਘੁਰਨਿੑਘਟਾਅਤਿਕਾਲੀਆ॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਸਾਵਣ ਦੀ ਰੁੱਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ) ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੂੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਕਾਲੀਆਂ ਘਟਾਵਾਂ ਗੱਜਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਬਿਜਲੀਆਂ ਚਮਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ,
O Nanak, the lightning flashes, and thunder echoes in the dark black clouds.
नानक बिजुलीआ चमकंनि घुरनि घटा अति कालीआ ॥
ਬਰਸਨਿਮੇਘਅਪਾਰਨਾਨਕਸੰਗਮਿਪਿਰੀਸੁਹੰਦੀਆ॥੨॥
ਤੇ ਬੱਦਲ ਮੁਹਲੇ-ਧਾਰ ਵਰ੍ਹਦੇ ਹਨ (ਤਦੋਂ ਕੈਸਾ ਸੁਹਾਵਣਾ ਸਮਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ); ਪਰ ਇਹ ਕਾਲੀਆਂ ਘਟਾਵਾਂ (ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ) ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਸੋਹਣੀਆਂ ਲੱਗਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
The downpour from the clouds is heavy; O Nanak, the soul-brides are exalted and embellished with their Beloved. ||2||
बरसनि मेघ अपार नानक संगमि पिरी सुहंदीआ ॥२॥
