ਭਾਜਿਦੈਤਇਕਸੁੰਭਪੈਗਇਓਤੁਰੰਗਮਡਾਰਿ॥੨੦੩॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਇਕ ਦੈਂਤ ਘੋੜੇ ਉਤੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਕੋਲ ਭਜ ਕੇ ਗਿਆ ॥੨੦੩॥
Then one of the demons went to Sumbh speedily on the horse.203.,
ਆਨਿਸੁੰਭਪੈਤਿਨਕਹੀਸਕਲਜੁਧਕੀਬਾਤ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਕੋਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਵਾਰਤਾ ਕਹੀ
He told Sumbh all that had happened in the war.,
ਤਬਭਾਜੇਦਾਨਵਸਭੈਮਾਰਿਲਇਓਤੁਅਭ੍ਰਾਤ॥੨੦੪॥
(ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ) ਤੇਰੇ ਭਰਾ (ਨਿਸ਼ੁੰਭ) ਨੂੰ (ਦੇਵੀ ਨੇ) ਮਾਰ ਲਿਆ, ਤਦੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੈਂਤ (ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ) ਵਿਚੋਂ ਭਜ ਆਏ ॥੨੦੪॥
Telling him “When the goddess killed thy brother, then all the demons fled away.”204.,

ਸੁੰਭਨਿਸੁੰਭਹਨਿਓਸੁਨਿਕੈਬਰਬੀਰਨਕੇਚਿਤਿਛੋਭਸਮਾਇਓ॥
ਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਨੇ ਨਿਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਦਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਸੁਣਿਆ (ਤਾਂ ਉਸ) ਬਲਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ।
When Sumbh heard about the death of Nisumbh, the anger of that mighty warrior knew no bounds.,
ਸਾਜਿਚੜਿਓਗਜਬਾਜਸਮਾਜਕੈਦਾਨਵਪੁੰਜਲੀਏਰਨਆਇਓ॥
(ਉਹ) ਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਸਜਾ ਕੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਚਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਲ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਡਟਿਆ।
Filled with great fury, he bedecked all the paraphernalia of elephants and horses, and taking the divisions of his army, he entered the battlefield.,
ਭੂਮਿਭਇਆਨਕਲੋਥਪਰੀਲਖਿਸ੍ਰਉਨਸਮੂਹਮਹਾਬਿਸਮਾਇਓ॥
(ਉਸ) ਭਿਆਨਕ ਯੁੱਧਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਪਈਆਂ ਲੋਥਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲਹੂ ਦੇ ਛਪੜ (ਸਮੂਹ) ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ (ਰਾਜਾ ਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਬਹੁਤ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ।
In that frightening field, seeing the corpses and the amassed blood, he was greatly astonished.,
ਮਾਨਹੁਸਾਰਸੁਤੀਉਮਡੀਜਲੁਸਾਗਰਕੇਮਿਲਿਬੇਕਹੁਧਾਇਓ॥੨੦੫॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ (ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀ) ਸਰਸਵਤੀ ਨਦੀ ਉਮਡ ਕੇ ਸਾਗਰ ਦੇ ਜਲ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਣ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੨੦੫॥

ਚੰਡਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਿਸੁਕੇਹਰਿਕਾਲਿਕਾਅਉਸਕਤੀਮਿਲਿਜੁਧਕਰਿਓਹੈ॥
ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ, ਸ਼ੇਰ, ਕਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
The fierce Chandi, Lion Kalika other powers have waged a violent war together.,
ਦਾਨਵਸੈਨਹਤੀਇਨਹੂੰਸਭਇਉਕਹਿਕੈਮਨਿਕੋਪਭਰਿਓਹੈ॥
'ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ' ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ (ਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਦਾ) ਮਨ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ।
“They have killed all the army of the demons,” saying this the mind of Sumbh was filled with rage.,
ਬੰਧੁਕਬੰਧਪਰਿਓਅਵਲੋਕਕੈਸੋਕਕੈਪਾਇਨਆਗੈਧਰਿਓਹੈ॥
ਭਰਾ (ਨਿਸ਼ੁੰਭ) ਦਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਧੜ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਦੁਖ ਨਾਲ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਅਗੇ ਪੈਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਧਰਿਆ।
Seeing the trunk of the body of his brother on one side, and in deep sorrow he could not move a step forward.,
ਧਾਇਸਕਿਓਨਭਇਓਭਇਭੀਤਹਚੀਤਹਮਾਨਹੁਲੰਗੁਪਰਿਓਹੈ॥੨੦੬॥
(ਉਹ ਇਤਨਾ) ਭੈ ਭੀਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ (ਅਗੇ) ਚਲ ਨਾ ਸਕਿਆ, (ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਚਿਤਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਲੰਗ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੨੦੬॥
He was so much frightened that he could not speedily go forward, it seemed that the leopard had become lame.206.

ਜਦੋਂ ਫਿਰ ਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਨੇ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਦੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ (ਯੁੱਧ ਨੂੰ) ਚਲ ਪਏ।
When Sumbh commanded his army, many demons marched forward, obeying the orders.,
ਗਜਰਾਜਸੁਬਾਜਨਕੇਅਸਵਾਰਰਥੀਰਥੁਪਾਇਕਕਉਨਗਨੈ॥
ਵਡੇ ਵਡੇ ਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਵਾਰ, ਰਥਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ, ਰਥ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਦਲ ਸੈਨਾ (ਦੀ ਕੌਣ) ਗਿਣਤੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
Who could count the riders of great elephants and horses, the chariots, warriors on chariots and warriors on foot?,
ਤਹਾਘੇਰਲਈਚਹੂੰਓਰਤੇਚੰਡਿਮਹਾਤਨਕੇਤਨਦੀਹਬਨੈ॥

ਮਨੋਭਾਨੁਕੋਛਾਇਲਇਓਉਮਡੈਘਨਘੋਰਘਮੰਡਘਟਾਨਿਸਨੈ॥੨੦੭॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਉਮਡੇ ਹੋਏ ਘਣੇ ਬਦਲਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਜਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਘਟਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਢਕ ਲਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੨੦੭॥

(ਚੰਡੀ ਦੇ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ) ਕਾਲੀ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕਿਤਨੇ ਹੀ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ, ਕਿਤਨੇ ਹੀ ਚਬ ਸੁਟੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਤਨੇ ਹੀ (ਚੁਕ ਕੇ) ਪਰੇ ਸੁਟ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
When Chandi hinted to Kali, she killed many, chewed many and threw many far away, in great rage.,
ਬਾਜਗਜਭਾਰੇਤੇਤੋਨਖਨਸੋਫਾਰਿਡਾਰੇਐਸੇਰਨਭੈਕਰਨਭਇਓਆਗੈਕਬਹੀ॥
ਵਡੇ ਵਡੇ ਹਾਥੀ ਅਤੇ ਘੋੜੇ ਤਾਂ ਨਹੁੰਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਚੀਰ ਸੁਟੇ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਯੁੱਧ ਅਗੇ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
She ripped with her nails, many big elephants and horses, such a war was waged that had not been waged before.
ਭਾਗੇਬਹੁਬੀਰਕਾਹੂੰਸੁਧਨਰਹੀਸਰੀਰਹਾਲਚਾਲਪਰੀਮਰੇਆਪਸਮੈਦਬਹੀ॥
ਬਹੁਤ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਭਜ ਚਲੇ, ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਸੁਧ ਨਾ ਰਹੀ। (ਅਜਿਹੀ) ਹਲਚਲ ਮਚੀ ਕਿ (ਅਨੇਕ ਸੂਰਮੇ) ਆਪਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ (ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਆ ਕੇ) ਦਬ ਕੇ ਮਰ ਗਏ।

ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਇੰਦਰ (ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਰਦਾ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਟੋਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾ ਬੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਜੈ ਜੈ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਗਾ ॥੨੦੯॥

ਕ੍ਰੋਧਮਾਨਭਇਓਕਹਿਓਰਾਜਾਸਭਦੈਤਨਕੋਐਸੋਜੁਧੁਕੀਨੋਕਾਲੀਡਾਰਿਯੋਬੀਰਮਾਰਕੈ॥
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਲੀ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁਟਿਆ ਹੈ।
The king Sumbh became very furious and told all the demons: “That kali hath waged she hath killed and thrown down my warriors.”,
ਬਲਕੋਸੰਭਾਰਿਕਰਿਲੀਨੀਕਰਵਾਰਢਾਰਪੈਠੋਰਨਮਧਿਮਾਰੁਮਾਰੁਇਉਉਚਾਰਕੈ॥
(ਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ) ਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਢਾਲ ਪਕੜ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ 'ਮਾਰੋ' 'ਮਾਰੋ' ਬੋਲਦਾ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਵੜ ਗਿਆ।

ਮਹਾਨ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਧੀਰਜਵਾਨ ਯੋਧੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਰ ਪਏ।
The great heroes and warriors of great composure, took their poser, accompanied Sumbh.,
ਐਸੇਚਲੇਦਾਨੋਰਵਿਮੰਡਲਛਪਾਨੋਮਾਨੋਸਲਭਉਡਾਨੋਪੁੰਜਪੰਖਨਸੁਧਾਰਕੈ॥੨੧੦॥
ਦੈਂਤ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚਲ ਪਏ ਮਾਨੋ ਸੂਰਜ-ਮੰਡਲ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਕੋਣ ਲਈ ਟਿਡੀ ਦਲ ਖੰਭ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਡਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੨੧੦॥
The demons marched like the flying locust swarms in order to enshroud the sun.210.,

ਦੈਂਤ (ਸ਼ੁੰਭ) ਦੀ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਵਾਹਨ (ਸ਼ੇਰ) ਨੂੰ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਘੁੰਮਾਇਆ
Seeing the powerful forces of the demons, Chandi revolved the lion’s face swiftly.,
ਚਕ੍ਰਅਲਾਤਕੀਬਾਤਬਘੂਰਨਛਤ੍ਰਨਹੀਸਮਅਉਖਰਸਾਨੋ॥
ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਆਤਸ਼ਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਚੱਕਰੀ, ਵਾਵਰੋਲੇ ਦੀ ਹਵਾ, (ਰਾਜ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਨ ਦਾ) ਛੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ (ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ) ਤੇਜ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਾਣ ਵੀ (ਨਹੀਂ ਘੁੰਮ ਸਕਦੀ)।
Even the disc, wind, canopy nd grindstone cannot revolve so swiftly.,
ਤਾਰਿਨਮਾਹਿਸੁਐਸੋਫਿਰਿਓਜਨਭਉਰਨਹੀਸਰਤਾਹਿਬਖਾਨੋ॥
ਉਸ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ (ਸ਼ੇਰ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਫਿਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਭੰਵਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
The lion hath revolved in that battlefield in such a way that even the whirlwind cannot compete with it.,
ਅਉਰਨਹੀਉਪਮਾਉਪਜੈਸੁਦੁਹੂੰਰੁਖਕੇਹਰਿਕੇਮੁਖਮਾਨੋ॥੨੧੧॥
(ਇਸ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਵਿਚ) ਹੋਰ (ਤਾਂ ਕੋਈ) ਉਪਮਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ (ਪਰ ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਪਾਸੇ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਮੂੰਹ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੨੧੧॥

ਤਦੋਂ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਡੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਦਾ ਭਾਰੀ ਯੁੱਧ ਹੋਇਆ।
At that time the powerful Chandi had fought a great war with huge gathering of demons.,
ਸੈਨਅਪਾਰਹਕਾਰਿਸੁਧਾਰਿਬਿਦਾਰਿਸੰਘਾਰਿਦਈਰਨਿਕਾਰੀ॥
(ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੀ) ਬੇਹਿਸਾਬੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੰਗਾਰ ਕੇ, ਖ਼ਬਰਦਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕਾਲੀ ਨੇ ਰਣ ਵਿਚ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Challenging the unaccountable army, chastening and awakening it, Kali had destroyed it in the battlefield.,
ਖੇਤਭਇਓਤਹਾਚਾਰਸਉਕੋਸਲਉਸੋਉਪਮਾਕਵਿਦੇਖਿਬਿਚਾਰੀ॥
ਉਥੇ ਚਾਰ ਸੌ ਕੋਹਾਂ ਤਕ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਸੀ, ਉਸ (ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼) ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ (ਇਹ) ਉਪਮਾ ਵਿਚਾਰੀ ਹੈ
The war was fought there upto four hundred kos and the poet hath imagined it like this:,
ਪੂਰਨਏਕਘਰੀਨਪਰੀਜਿਗਿਰੇਧਰਿਪੈਥਰਜਿਉਪਤਝਾਰੀ॥੨੧੨॥
ਕਿ (ਅਜੇ) ਇਕ ਘੜੀ ਵੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਗੁਜ਼ਰੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਬਲਵਾਨ (ਦੈਂਤ) (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਡਿਗੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਤਝੜ (ਵਿਚ ਪੱਤਰ ਡਿਗਦੇ ਹਨ) ॥੨੧੨॥
Only one ghari (small duration of time) was not complete, when the demons had fallen on the earth like the leaves (of trees) in autumn.212.,
ਮਾਰਿਚਮੂੰਚਤੁਰੰਗਲਈਤਬਲੀਨੋਹੈਸੁੰਭਚਮੁੰਡਕੋਆਗਾ॥
(ਜਦੋਂ) ਚਤੁਰੰਗਣੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਮਾਰੀ ਗਈ ਤਦੋਂ ਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਚੰਡੀ ਦੇ ਅਗੇ ਆ ਡਟਿਆ।
When all the four divisions of army were killed, Sumbh marched forward to obstruct the advance of Chandi.,
ਚਾਲਪਰਿਓਅਵਨੀਸਿਗਰੀਹਰਜੂਹਰਿਆਸਨਤੇਉਠਿਭਾਗਾ॥
(ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ) ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਹਲਚਲ ਮਚ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਦੀ ਖਲ ਦੇ ਆਸਣ (ਹਰਿ ਆਸਨ) ਤੋਂ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਨਸ ਪਿਆ।
At that time the whole earth shook and Shiva rose and ran from his seat of contemplation.,
ਸੂਖਗਇਓਤ੍ਰਸਕੈਹਰਿਹਾਰਿਸੁਸੰਕਤਿਅੰਕਮਹਾਭਇਓਜਾਗਾ॥
ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੇ ਗਲੇ ਦਾ ਹਾਰ (ਰੂਪੀ ਸੱਪ) ਸੁਕ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਡਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਸੁੰਗੜ ਗਿਆ।
The necklace (snake) of Shiva’s throat had withered because of fear, it trembled because of great fear in his heart.,
ਲਾਗਰਹਿਓਲਪਟਾਇਗਰੇਮਧਿਮਾਨਹੁਮੁੰਡਕੀਮਾਲਕੋਤਾਗਾ॥੨੧੩॥
(ਉਹ ਸੱਪ) ਗਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੰਬੜ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਮਾਨੋ ਮੁੰਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਾ ਦਾ ਧਾਗਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੨੧੩॥
That snake clinging to Shiva’s throat appears like the string of the wreath of skulls.213.,
ਚੰਡਿਕੇਸਾਮੁਹਿਆਇਕੈਸੁੰਭਕਹਿਓਮੁਖਿਸੋਇਹਮੈਸਭਜਾਨੀ॥
ਚੰਡੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਸ਼ੁੰਭ (ਦੈਂਤ) ਨੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ (ਇਹ) ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਮੈ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
Coming in front of Chandi, the demon Sumbh uttered from his mouth: “I have come to know all this.,
ਕਾਲੀਸਮੇਤਸਭੈਸਕਤੀਮਿਲਿਦੀਨੋਖਪਾਇਸਭੈਦਲੁਬਾਨੀ॥
(ਹੇ ਚੰਡੀ! ਤੂੰ) ਕਾਲੀ ਸਮੇਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਨੀਆਂ (ਮੁਖੀਆਂ) ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
“Alongwith Kali and other powers thou hast destroyed all the parts of my army.”,
ਚੰਡਿਕਹਿਓਮੁਖਤੇਉਨਕੋਤੇਊਤਾਛਿਨਗਉਰਕੇਮਧਿਸਮਾਨੀ॥
(ਇਹ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ) ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਆਂ) ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ (ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਾ ਜਾਉ) ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਚੰਡੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਾ ਗਈਆਂ
At that time Chandi uttered these words from her month to Kali and other powers: “Merge in me” and at the same instant they all merged in Chandi,
ਜਿਉਸਰਤਾਕੇਪ੍ਰਵਾਹਕੇਬੀਚਮਿਲੇਬਰਖਾਬਹੁਬੂੰਦਨਪਾਨੀ॥੨੧੪॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬਰਖਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਬੂੰਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਲ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੧੪॥
Like the rain-water in the current of the steam.214.,
ਕੈਬਲਿਚੰਡਿਮਹਾਰਨਮਧਿਸੁਲੈਜਮਦਾੜਕੀਤਾਪਰਿਲਾਈ॥
ਮਹਾਨ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਬਲ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਕਟਾਰ ('ਜਮਦਾੜ') ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਚਲਾਈ।
In the war, Chnadi, taking the dagger, struck it with great force on the demon.,
ਬੈਠਗਈਅਰਿਕੇਉਰਮੈਤਿਹਸ੍ਰਉਨਤਜੁਗਨਿਪੂਰਿਅਘਾਈ॥
(ਉਹ ਕਟਾਰ) ਵੈਰੀ ਦੀ ਛਾਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਧਸ ਗਈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋਗਣਾਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਜ ਗਈਆਂ।
It penetrated into the breast of the enemy, the vamps were fully satisfied with his blood.
ਦੀਰਘਜੁਧਬਿਲੋਕਕੈਬੁਧਿਕਵੀਸ੍ਵਰਕੇਮਨਮੈਇਹਆਈ॥
(ਉਸ) ਦੀਰਘ ਯੁੱਧ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕਵੀਸ਼ਰ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਵਿਚਾਰ ('ਬੁਧਿ') ਆਇਆ
