Maajh, Fourth Mahalaa:
ਹਰਿਗੁਣਪੜੀਐਹਰਿਗੁਣਗੁਣੀਐ॥
(ਹੇ ਸਤਸੰਗੀ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ! ਆਉ ਰਲ ਕੇ ਅਸੀ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਪੜ੍ਹੀਏ ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰੀਏ,
Read of the Lord's Glories and reflect upon the Lord's Glories.
ਹਰਿਹਰਿਨਾਮਕਥਾਨਿਤਸੁਣੀਐ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਕਥਾ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਣਾ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਰਹੀਏ।
Listen continually to the Sermon of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਮਿਲਿਸਤਿਸੰਗਤਿਹਰਿਗੁਣਗਾਏਜਗੁਭਉਜਲੁਦੁਤਰੁਤਰੀਐਜੀਉ॥੧॥
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ (ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ) ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਜਗਤ ਤੋਂ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ (ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਣਾ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਔਖਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
Joining the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, and singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, you shall cross over the treacherous and terrifying world-ocean. ||1||
ਆਉਸਖੀਹਰਿਮੇਲੁਕਰੇਹਾ॥
ਹੇ ਸਤਸੰਗੀ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ! ਆਉ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ) ਵਾਲਾ ਸਤਸੰਗ ਬਣਾਈਏ।
Come, friends, let us meet our Lord.
ਮੇਰੇਪ੍ਰੀਤਮਕਾਮੈਦੇਇਸਨੇਹਾ॥
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਦੇਵੇ,
Bring me a message from my Beloved.
ਮੇਰਾਮਿਤ੍ਰੁਸਖਾਸੋਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁਭਾਈਮੈਦਸੇਹਰਿਨਰਹਰੀਐਜੀਉ॥੨॥
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦਾ ਥਹੁ-ਪਤਾ) ਦੱਸੇ ਉਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਥੀ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਸੱਜਣ ਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਰਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
He alone is a friend, companion, beloved and brother of mine, who shows me the way to the Lord, the Lord of all. ||2||
ਮੇਰੀਬੇਦਨਹਰਿਗੁਰੁਪੂਰਾਜਾਣੈ॥
(ਹੇ ਸਤਸੰਗੀ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦਾ ਰੂਪ) ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ (ਹੀ) ਮੇਰੀ ਪੀੜਾ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ
My illness is known only to the Lord and the Perfect Guru.
ਹਉਰਹਿਨਸਕਾਬਿਨੁਨਾਮਵਖਾਣੇ॥
ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਧੀਰਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਆ ਸਕਦੀ।
I cannot continue living without chanting the Naam.
ਮੈਅਉਖਧੁਮੰਤ੍ਰੁਦੀਜੈਗੁਰਪੂਰੇਮੈਹਰਿਹਰਿਨਾਮਿਉਧਰੀਐਜੀਉ॥੩॥
(ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ-) ਹੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣਾ) ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਹ (ਇਹੀ) ਦਵਾਈ (ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਬੇਦਨ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ)। ਹੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ (ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ॥੩॥
So give me the medicine, the Mantra of the Perfect Guru. Through the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, I am saved. ||3||
ਹਮਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕਦੀਨਸਤਿਗੁਰਸਰਣਾਈ॥
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਅਸੀਂ ਨਿਮਾਣੇ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਏ ਹਾਂ।
I am just a poor song-bird, in the Sanctuary of the True Guru,
ਹਰਿਹਰਿਨਾਮੁਬੂੰਦਮੁਖਿਪਾਈ॥
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਅਸਾਂ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ (ਜਿਵੇਂ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਸ੍ਵਾਂਤੀ) ਬੂੰਦ (ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ)।
who has placed the Drop of Water, the Lord's Name, Har, Har, in my mouth.
ਹਰਿਜਲਨਿਧਿਹਮਜਲਕੇਮੀਨੇਜਨਨਾਨਕਜਲਬਿਨੁਮਰੀਐਜੀਉ॥੪॥੩॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ, ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੱਛੀਆਂ ਹਾਂ, ਉਸ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ (ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੱਛੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ) ॥੪॥੩॥
The Lord is the Treasure of Water; I am just a fish in that water. Without this Water, servant Nanak would die. ||4||3||

Maajh, Fourth Mahalaa:
ਹਰਿਜਨਸੰਤਮਿਲਹੁਮੇਰੇਭਾਈ॥
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ ਜਨੋ! ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ! (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਮਿਲੋ,
O servants of the Lord, O Saints, O my Siblings of Destiny, let us join together!
ਮੇਰਾਹਰਿਪ੍ਰਭੁਦਸਹੁਮੈਭੁਖਲਗਾਈ॥
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਦੱਸ ਪਾਵੋ, ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਦੀ) ਭੁੱਖ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
Show me the way to my Lord God-I am so hungry for Him!
ਮੇਰੀਸਰਧਾਪੂਰਿਜਗਜੀਵਨਦਾਤੇਮਿਲਿਹਰਿਦਰਸਨਿਮਨੁਭੀਜੈਜੀਉ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਦਾਤਾਰ! ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਮੇਰੀ ਇਹ ਸਰਧਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰ ਕਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ (ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ-ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਲ) ਤਰੋ-ਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ ॥੧॥
Please reward my faith, O Life of the World, O Great Giver. Obtaining the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, my mind is fulfilled. ||1||
ਮਿਲਿਸਤਸੰਗਿਬੋਲੀਹਰਿਬਾਣੀ॥
(ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਲੋਚਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਉਚਾਰਾਂ।
Joining the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, I chant the Bani of the Lord's Word.
ਹਰਿਹਰਿਕਥਾਮੇਰੈਮਨਿਭਾਣੀ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰੀਆਂ ਲੱਗ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
The Sermon of the Lord, Har, Har, is pleasing to my mind.
ਹਰਿਹਰਿਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁਹਰਿਮਨਿਭਾਵੈਮਿਲਿਸਤਿਗੁਰਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁਪੀਜੈਜੀਉ॥੨॥
ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਚੰਗਾ ਲਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਪੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
The Ambrosial Nectar of the Lord's Name, Har, Har, is so sweet to my mind. Meeting the True Guru, I drink in this Ambrosial Nectar. ||2||
ਵਡਭਾਗੀਹਰਿਸੰਗਤਿਪਾਵਹਿ॥
ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਕਰਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
By great good fortune, the Lord's Congregation is found,
ਭਾਗਹੀਨਭ੍ਰਮਿਚੋਟਾਖਾਵਹਿ॥
ਪਰ ਨਿਭਾਗੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਚੋਟਾਂ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੱਟਾਂ ਸਹਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ)।
while the unfortunate ones wander around in doubt, enduring painful beatings.
ਬਿਨੁਭਾਗਾਸਤਸੰਗੁਨਲਭੈਬਿਨੁਸੰਗਤਿਮੈਲੁਭਰੀਜੈਜੀਉ॥੩॥
ਚੰਗੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ। ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ) ਮੈਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਬੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
Without good fortune, the Sat Sangat is not found; without this Sangat, people are stained with filth and pollution. ||3||
ਮੈਆਇਮਿਲਹੁਜਗਜੀਵਨਪਿਆਰੇ॥
ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਆ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ।
Come and meet me, O Life of the World, my Beloved.
ਹਰਿਹਰਿਨਾਮੁਦਇਆਮਨਿਧਾਰੇ॥
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਦਇਆ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਦੇਹ।
Please bless me with Your Mercy, and enshrine Your Name, Har, Har, within my mind.
ਗੁਰਮਤਿਨਾਮੁਮੀਠਾਮਨਿਭਾਇਆਜਨਨਾਨਕਨਾਮਿਮਨੁਭੀਜੈਜੀਉ॥੪॥੪॥
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ (ਸਦਾ) ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਭਿੱਜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੪॥
Through the Guru's Teachings, the Sweet Name has become pleasing to my mind. Servant Nanak's mind is drenched and delighted with the Naam. ||4||4||
ਮਾਝਮਹਲਾ੪॥
Maajh, Fourth Mahalaa:
ਹਰਿਗੁਰਗਿਆਨੁਹਰਿਰਸੁਹਰਿਪਾਇਆ॥
ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
Through the Guru, I have obtained the Lord's spiritual wisdom. I have obtained the Sublime Essence of the Lord.
ਮਨੁਹਰਿਰੰਗਿਰਾਤਾਹਰਿਰਸੁਪੀਆਇਆ॥
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਪਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
My mind is imbued with the Love of the Lord; I drink in the Sublime Essence of the Lord.
ਹਰਿਹਰਿਨਾਮੁਮੁਖਿਹਰਿਹਰਿਬੋਲੀਮਨੁਹਰਿਰਸਿਟੁਲਿਟੁਲਿਪਉਦਾਜੀਉ॥੧॥
(ਹੁਣ) ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਉਛਲ ਉਛਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
With my mouth, I chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har; my mind is filled to overflowing with the Sublime Essence of the Lord. ||1||
ਆਵਹੁਸੰਤਮੈਗਲਿਮੇਲਾਈਐ॥
ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਆਵੋ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਲਵੋ,
Come, O Saints, and lead me to my Lord's Embrace.
ਮੇਰੇਪ੍ਰੀਤਮਕੀਮੈਕਥਾਸੁਣਾਈਐ॥
ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣਾਵੋ।
Recite to me the Sermon of my Beloved.
ਹਰਿਕੇਸੰਤਮਿਲਹੁਮਨੁਦੇਵਾਜੋਗੁਰਬਾਣੀਮੁਖਿਚਉਦਾਜੀਉ॥੨॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੋ। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਕੋਈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ) ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੨॥
I dedicate my mind to those Saints of the Lord, who chant the Word of the Guru's Bani with their mouths. ||2||
ਵਡਭਾਗੀਹਰਿਸੰਤੁਮਿਲਾਇਆ॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
By great good fortune, the Lord has led me to meet His Saint.
ਗੁਰਿਪੂਰੈਹਰਿਰਸੁਮੁਖਿਪਾਇਆ॥
ਤੇ (ਉਸ) ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
The Perfect Guru has placed the Sublime Essence of the Lord into my mouth.
ਭਾਗਹੀਨਸਤਿਗੁਰੁਨਹੀਪਾਇਆਮਨਮੁਖੁਗਰਭਜੂਨੀਨਿਤਿਪਉਦਾਜੀਉ॥੩॥
ਨਿਭਾਗੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
The unfortunate ones do not find the True Guru; the self-willed manmukhs continually endure reincarnation through the womb. ||3||
ਆਪਿਦਇਆਲਿਦਇਆਪ੍ਰਭਿਧਾਰੀ॥
ਦਇਆ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ,
God, the Merciful, has Himself bestowed His Mercy.
ਮਲੁਹਉਮੈਬਿਖਿਆਸਭਨਿਵਾਰੀ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਹਉਮੈ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਸਾਰੀ ਹੀ ਦੂਰੀ ਕਰ ਲਈ।
He has totally removed the poisonous pollution of egotism.
ਨਾਨਕਹਟਪਟਣਵਿਚਿਕਾਂਇਆਹਰਿਲੈਂਦੇਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਸਉਦਾਜੀਉ॥੪॥੫॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਸਰੀਰ-ਹੱਟ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਸਰੀਰ-ਸ਼ਹਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ (ਟਿਕ ਕੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸੌਦਾ ਖ਼ਰੀਦਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੪॥੫॥
O Nanak, in the shops of the city of the human body, the Gurmukhs buy the merchandise of the Lord's Name. ||4||5||

ਹਉਗੁਣਗੋਵਿੰਦਹਰਿਨਾਮੁਧਿਆਈ॥
(ਮੇਰੀ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਮੈਂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਾਂ,
I meditate on the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe, and the Name of the Lord.
ਮਿਲਿਸੰਗਤਿਮਨਿਨਾਮੁਵਸਾਈ॥
ਤੇ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਵਾਂ।
Joining the Sangat, the Holy Congregation, the Name comes to dwell in the mind.
ਹਰਿਪ੍ਰਭਅਗਮਅਗੋਚਰਸੁਆਮੀਮਿਲਿਸਤਿਗੁਰਹਰਿਰਸੁਕੀਚੈਜੀਉ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ)! ਹੇ ਅਗੋਚਰ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ)! ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! (ਜੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ) ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
The Lord God is our Lord and Master, Inaccessible and Unfathomable. Meeting the True Guru, I enjoy the Sublime Essence of the Lord. ||1||
