ਓੁਂਨਮੋਭਗਵੰਤਗੁਸਾਈ॥
ਹੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ! ਹੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਖਸਮ! ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ।
I humbly pray to invoke the Universal Lord God, the Lord of the World.
ਖਾਲਕੁਰਵਿਰਹਿਆਸਰਬਠਾਈ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਤੂੰ (ਸਾਰੀ) ਖ਼ਲਕਤ ਦਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਭਨੀਂ ਥਾਈਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
The Creator Lord is all-pervading, everywhere. ||1||Pause||
ਜਗੰਨਾਥਜਗਜੀਵਨਮਾਧੋ॥
ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਨਾਥ! ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ! ਹੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ!
He is the Lord of the Universe, the Life of the World.
ਭਉਭੰਜਨਰਿਦਮਾਹਿਅਰਾਧੋ॥
ਹੇ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਰੇਕ) ਡਰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ! ਹੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਰਾਧਨ-ਜੋਗ!
Within your heart, worship and adore the Destroyer of fear.
ਰਿਖੀਕੇਸਗੋਪਾਲਗੋੁਵਿੰਦ॥
ਹੇ ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਹੇ ਗੋਪਾਲ! ਹੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ!
The Master Rishi of the senses, Lord of the World, Lord of the Universe.
ਪੂਰਨਸਰਬਤ੍ਰਮੁਕੰਦ॥੨॥
ਹੇ ਮੁਕਤੀ-ਦਾਤੇ! ਤੂੰ ਸਭਨੀਂ ਥਾਈਂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈਂ ॥੨॥
He is perfect, ever-present everywhere, the Liberator. ||2||
ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨਮਉਲਾਤੂਹੀਏਕ॥
ਹੇ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨ! ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ,
You are the One and only merciful Master,
ਪੀਰਪੈਕਾਂਬਰਸੇਖ॥
ਪੀਰਾਂ ਪੈਗ਼ੰਬਰਾਂ ਸ਼ੇਖਾਂ (ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਨਜਾਤ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
spiritual teacher, prophet, religious teacher.
ਦਿਲਾਕਾਮਾਲਕੁਕਰੇਹਾਕੁ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹੀ ਮੌਲਾ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਦਿਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ, (ਸਭ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ) ਹੱਕੋ-ਹੱਕ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Master of hearts, Dispenser of justice,
ਕੁਰਾਨਕਤੇਬਤੇਪਾਕੁ॥੩॥
ਉਹ ਮੌਲਾ ਕੁਰਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
more sacred than the Koran and the Bible. ||3||
ਨਾਰਾਇਣਨਰਹਰਦਇਆਲ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਦਇਆ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਹੈ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਨਰਸਿੰਘ ਹੈ।
The Lord is powerful and merciful.
ਰਮਤਰਾਮਘਟਘਟਆਧਾਰ॥
ਉਹ ਰਾਮ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਰਮਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਹਰੇਕ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ।
The all-pervading Lord is the support of each and every heart.
ਬਾਸੁਦੇਵਬਸਤਸਭਠਾਇ॥
ਉਹੀ ਬਾਸੁਦੇਵ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਭਨੀਂ ਥਾਈਂ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
The luminous Lord dwells everywhere.
ਲੀਲਾਕਿਛੁਲਖੀਨਜਾਇ॥੪॥
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਖੇਡ ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ॥੪॥
His play cannot be known. ||4||
ਮਿਹਰਦਇਆਕਰਿਕਰਨੈਹਾਰ॥
ਹੇ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਚਨਹਾਰ! ਹੇ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ! ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਦਇਆ ਕਰ ਕੇ-
Be kind and compassionate to me, O Creator Lord.
ਭਗਤਿਬੰਦਗੀਦੇਹਿਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ॥
ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
Bless me with devotion and meditation, O Lord Creator.
ਕਹੁਨਾਨਕਗੁਰਿਖੋਏਭਰਮ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ) ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ,
Says Nanak, the Guru has rid me of doubt.
ਏਕੋਅਲਹੁਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ॥੫॥੩੪॥੪੫॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ) ਅੱਲਾਹ ਅਤੇ (ਹਿੰਦੂਆਂ ਦਾ) ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਇੱਕੋ ਹੀ ਦਿੱਸ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੫॥੩੪॥੪੫॥
The Muslim God Allah and the Hindu God Paarbrahm are one and the same. ||5||34||45||
ਰਾਮਕਲੀਮਹਲਾ੫॥
Raamkalee, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਕੋਟਿਜਨਮਕੇਬਿਨਸੇਪਾਪ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਿਆਂ (ਪਿਛਲੇ) ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਾਪ ਭੀ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
The sins of millions of incarnations are eradicated.
ਹਰਿਹਰਿਜਪਤਨਾਹੀਸੰਤਾਪ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਿਆਂ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ।
Meditating on the Lord, Har, Har, pain will not afflict you.
ਗੁਰਕੇਚਰਨਕਮਲਮਨਿਵਸੇ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨ ਆ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ,
When the Lord's lotus feet are enshrined in the mind,
ਮਹਾਬਿਕਾਰਤਨਤੇਸਭਿਨਸੇ॥੧॥
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ (ਭੀ) ਸਾਰੇ ਨੱਸ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
all terrible evils are taken away from the body. ||1||
ਗੋਪਾਲਕੋਜਸੁਗਾਉਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ! ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਲਣਹਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਇਆ ਕਰ।
Sing the Praise of the Lord of the World, O mortal being.
ਅਕਥਕਥਾਸਾਚੀਪ੍ਰਭਪੂਰਨਜੋਤੀਜੋਤਿਸਮਾਣੀ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਅਟੱਲ ਤੇ ਅਮੁੱਕ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
The Unspoken Speech of the True Lord God is perfect. Dwelling upon it, one's light merges into the Light. ||1||Pause||
ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾਭੂਖਸਭਨਾਸੀ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ! ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ) ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ) ਭੁੱਖ ਸਭ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
Hunger and thirst are totally quenched;
ਸੰਤਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿਜਪਿਆਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ॥
ਗੁਰੂ-ਸੰਤ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਨਾਸ-ਰਹਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ।
by the Grace of the Saints, meditate on the immortal Lord.
ਰੈਨਿਦਿਨਸੁਪ੍ਰਭਸੇਵਕਮਾਨੀ॥
ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Night and day, serve God.
ਹਰਿਮਿਲਣੈਕੀਏਹਨੀਸਾਨੀ॥੨॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ (ਵੱਡਾ) ਲੱਛਣ ਇਹੋ ਹੀ ਹੈ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਨੀ) ॥੨॥
This is the sign that one has met with the Lord. ||2||
ਮਿਟੇਜੰਜਾਲਹੋਏਪ੍ਰਭਦਇਆਲ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ;
Worldly entanglements are ended, when God becomes merciful.
ਗੁਰਕਾਦਰਸਨੁਦੇਖਿਨਿਹਾਲ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Gazing upon the Blessed Vision of the Guru's Darshan, I am enraptured.
ਪਰਾਪੂਰਬਲਾਕਰਮੁਬਣਿਆਇਆ॥
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੂਰਬਲੇ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕੰਮ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਆ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਕਾਰ ਜਾਗ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ)।
My perfect pre-destined karma has been activated.
ਹਰਿਕੇਗੁਣਨਿਤਰਸਨਾਗਾਇਆ॥੩॥
ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
With my tongue, I continually sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||3||
ਹਰਿਕੇਸੰਤਸਦਾਪਰਵਾਣੁ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ) ਸਦਾ ਆਦਰ-ਸਤਕਾਰ ਪਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
The Saints of the Lord are accepted and approved forever.
ਸੰਤਜਨਾਮਸਤਕਿਨੀਸਾਣੁ॥
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ (ਨੂਰ ਚਮਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਦਾ) ਚਿਹਨ ਹੈ।
The foreheads of the Saintly people are marked with the Lord's insignia.
ਦਾਸਕੀਰੇਣੁਪਾਏਜੇਕੋਇ॥
ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਸੇਵਕ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਏ,
One who is blessed with the dust of the feet of the Lord's slave,
ਨਾਨਕਤਿਸਕੀਪਰਮਗਤਿਹੋਇ॥੪॥੩੫॥੪੬॥
ਤਾਂ ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩੫॥੪੬॥
O Nanak, obtains the supreme status. ||4||35||46||
ਰਾਮਕਲੀਮਹਲਾ੫॥
Raamkalee, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਦਰਸਨਕਉਜਾਈਐਕੁਰਬਾਨੁ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ) ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ (ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ)।
Let yourself be a sacrifice to the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan.
ਚਰਨਕਮਲਹਿਰਦੈਧਰਿਧਿਆਨੁ॥
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ) ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਧਰ ਕੇ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ)।
Focus your heart's meditation on the Lord's lotus feet.
ਧੂਰਿਸੰਤਨਕੀਮਸਤਕਿਲਾਇ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ) ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨ-ਧੂੜ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਲਾਇਆ ਕਰ,
Apply the dust of the feet of the Saints to your forehead,
ਜਨਮਜਨਮਕੀਦੁਰਮਤਿਮਲੁਜਾਇ॥੧॥
(ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਖੋਟੀ ਮਤਿ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
and the filthy evil-mindedness of countless incarnations will be washed off. ||1||
ਜਿਸੁਭੇਟਤਮਿਟੈਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ॥
ਜਿਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆਂ (ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
Meeting Him, egotistical pride is eradicated,
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁਸਭੁਨਦਰੀਆਵੈਕਰਿਕਿਰਪਾਪੂਰਨਭਗਵਾਨ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਅਤੇ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਦਿੱਸ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਸਭ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ! (ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ) ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾ) ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
and you will come to see the Supreme Lord God in all. The Perfect Lord God has showered His Mercy. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰਕੀਕੀਰਤਿਜਪੀਐਹਰਿਨਾਉ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ-ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੋਭਾ (ਕਰਨੀ)।
This is the Guru's Praise, to chant the Name of the Lord.
ਗੁਰਕੀਭਗਤਿਸਦਾਗੁਣਗਾਉ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ਕਰ- ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ! ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!
This is devotion to the Guru, to sing forever the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਗੁਰਕੀਸੁਰਤਿਨਿਕਟਿਕਰਿਜਾਨੁ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਜਾਣ-ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਨਾ।
This is contemplation upon the Guru, to know that the Lord is close at hand.
ਗੁਰਕਾਸਬਦੁਸਤਿਕਰਿਮਾਨੁ॥੨॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ (ਸਦਾ) ਸੱਚਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੰਨ ॥੨॥
Accept the Word of the Guru's Shabad as Truth. ||2||
ਗੁਰਬਚਨੀਸਮਸਰਿਸੁਖਦੂਖ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਸਾਰੇ) ਸੁਖ ਦੁਖ ਇਕੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਜਾਪਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
Through the Word of the Guru's Teachings, look upon pleasure and pain as one and the same.
ਕਦੇਨਬਿਆਪੈਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾਭੂਖ॥
ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਕਦੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦੀ।
Hunger and thirst shall never afflict you.
ਮਨਿਸੰਤੋਖੁਸਬਦਿਗੁਰਰਾਜੇ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਮਨ) ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The mind becomes content and satisfied through the Word of the Guru's Shabad.
ਜਪਿਗੋਬਿੰਦੁਪੜਦੇਸਭਿਕਾਜੇ॥੩॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੜਦੇ ਕੱਜੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ) ॥੩॥
Meditate on the Lord of the Universe, and He will cover all your faults. ||3||
ਗੁਰੁਪਰਮੇਸਰੁਗੁਰੁਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦਾ ਰੂਪ) ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ (ਦਾ ਰੂਪ) ਹੈ।
The Guru is the Supreme Lord God; the Guru is the Lord of the Universe.
ਗੁਰੁਦਾਤਾਦਇਆਲਬਖਸਿੰਦੁ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾਤਾਰ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ) ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦਇਆ ਦੇ ਸੋਮੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਣਹਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਦਾ ਰੂਪ) ਹੈ।
The Guru is the Great Giver, merciful and forgiving.
ਗੁਰਚਰਨੀਜਾਕਾਮਨੁਲਾਗਾ॥
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
One whose mind is attached to the Guru's feet,
ਨਾਨਕਦਾਸਤਿਸੁਪੂਰਨਭਾਗਾ॥੪॥੩੬॥੪੭॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਦਾਸ ਦੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੪॥੩੬॥੪੭॥
O slave Nanak, is blessed with perfect destiny. ||4||36||47||
