ਖਿਆਲਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀ੧੦॥
KHYAL OF THE Tenth Sovereign (Guru).
ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰਪਿਆਰੇਨੂੰਹਾਲੁਮੁਰੀਦਾਂਦਾਕਹਣਾ॥
ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮਿਤਰ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਨੂੰ (ਅਸਾਂ) ਮੁਰੀਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਾਲ (ਜਾ ਕੇ) ਕਹਿਣਾ।
Convey to the dear friend the condition of the disciples,
ਤੁਧੁਬਿਨੁਰੋਗੁਰਜਾਈਆਂਦਾਓਢਣੁਨਾਗਨਿਵਾਸਾਂਦੇਰਹਣਾ॥
ਤੇਰੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਰਜ਼ਾਈਆਂ ਦਾ ਓੜਨਾ ਰੋਗ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਨਾਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ (ਰਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ)।
Without Thee, the taking over of quilt is like disease and living in the house is like living with serpents;
ਸੂਲਸੁਰਾਹੀਖੰਜਰੁਪਿਆਲਾਬਿੰਗੁਕਸਾਈਆਂਦਾਸਹਣਾ॥
(ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਿਨਾ) ਸੁਰਾਹੀ ਸੂਲ ਵਰਗੀ, ਪਿਆਲਾ ਖ਼ੰਜਰ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ (ਵਿਯੋਗ) ਕਸਾਈਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੰਗੇ ਛੁਰੇ (ਦੀ ਸਟ ਨੂੰ) ਸਹਿਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਹਨ।
The flask is like the spike, the cup is like a dagger and (the separation) is like enduring the chopper of the butchers,
ਯਾਰੜੇਦਾਸਾਨੂੰਸੱਥਰੁਚੰਗਾਭੱਠਿਖੇੜਿਆਂਦਾਰਹਣਾ॥੧॥੧॥੬॥
ਯਾਰ (ਮਿਤਰ) ਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਥਰ (ਭੂਮੀ-ਆਸਨ) ਸਾਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ, (ਪਰ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਛੁੜ ਕੇ ਸੁਖ ਪੂਰਵਕ) ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿਚ ਸੌਣਾ ਭਠ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥੧॥੬॥
The pallet of the beloved Friend is most pleasing and the worldly pleasures are like furnace.1.1
ਰਾਗੁਤਿਲੰਗਕਾਫੀਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀ੧੦॥
TILNG KAFI OF THE TENTH SOVEREIGN.
ਕੇਵਲਕਾਲਈਕਰਤਾਰ॥
ਕੇਵਲ ਕਾਲ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ।
The supreme Destroyer is alone the Creator,
ਆਦਿਅੰਤਿਅਨੰਤਿਮੂਰਤਿਗੜ੍ਹਨਭੰਜਨਹਾਰੁ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਆਦਿ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਤ ਤਕ ਅਨੰਤ ਮੂਰਤਾਂ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਭੰਨਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ।
He is in the beginning and in the end, He is the infinite entity, the Creator and the Destroyer…Pause.
ਨਿੰਦਉਸਤਤਿਜਉਨਕੇਸਮਸ਼ਤ੍ਰੁਮਿਤ੍ਰੁਨਕੋਇ॥
ਜਿਸ ਲਈ ਨਿੰਦਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਤਤ ਇਕ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ (ਜਿਸ ਦਾ) ਕੋਈ ਵੈਰੀ ਜਾਂ ਮਿਤਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
The calumny and Praise are equal to him and he has no friend, no foe,
ਕਉਨਬਾਟਪਰੀਤਿਸੈਪਥਸਾਰਥੀਰਥਹੋਇ॥੧॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਔਖ ਆ ਬਣੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਅਰਜਨ (ਪਥਪਾਰਥ) ਦਾ ਰਥਵਾਨ ਬਣਿਆ ਸੀ ॥੧॥
Of what crucial necessity, He became the charioteer?1.
ਤਾਤਮਾਤਨਜਾਤਿਜਾਕਰਪੁਤ੍ਰਪੌਤ੍ਰਮੁਕੰਦ॥
ਜਿਸ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਦਾ ਨਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਮਾਤਾ, ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਤਿ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪੋਤਰਾ ਹੈ।
He, the Giver of salvation, has no father, no mother, no son and no grandson;
ਕਉਨਕਾਜਿਕਹਾਹਿਂਗੇਤੇਆਨਿਦੇਵਕਿਨੰਦ॥੨॥
(ਫਿਰ ਉਹ) ਆ ਕੇ ਕਿਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਦੇਵਕੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਖਵਾਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
O what necessity he caused others to call Him the son of Devaki?2.
ਦੇਵਦੈਂਤਦਿਸਾਵਿਸਾਜਿਹਕੀਨਸਰਬਪਸਾਰ॥
ਜਿਸਨੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ, ਦੈਂਤ, ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਵਿਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਖੇਲ ਪਸਾਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
He, who has created gods, demons, directions and the whole expanse,
ਕਉਨਉਪਮਾਤੌਨਕੋਮੁਖਿਲੇਤਨਾਮੁਮੁਰਾਰਿ॥੩॥੧॥੭॥
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਹੋਈ ਜੇ (ਉਸਨੂੰ) ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਏ ॥੩॥੧॥੭॥
On what analogy should he be called MURAR?3.

ਸੋਕਿਮਿਮਾਨਸਰੂਪਕਹਾਏ॥
ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਰੂਪ ਵਾਲਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
How can He be said to come in human form?
ਸਿਧਸਮਾਧਿਸਾਧਿਕਰਿਹਾਰੇਕ੍ਯੋਹੂੰਨਦੇਖਨਪਾਏ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ) ਸਿੱਧ ਲੋਗ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਲਗਾ ਲਗਾ ਕੇ ਹਾਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ (ਪਰ) ਕਿਵੇਂ ਵੀ ਵੇਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ।
The Siddha (adept) in deep meditation became tired of the discipline on not seeing Him in any way…..Pause.
ਨਾਰਦਬਿਆਸਪਰਾਸਰਧ੍ਰੂਅਸੇਧਿਆਵਤਿਧਿਆਨਲਗਾਏ॥
ਨਾਰਦ, ਬਿਆਸ, ਪਰਾਸ਼ਰ ਅਤੇ ਧਰੂ ਵਰਗੇ (ਜਿਸਦਾ) ਧਿਆਨ ਲਗਾ ਕੇ ਧਿਆਉਂਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
Narad, Vyas, Prashar, Dhru, all meditated on Him,
ਬੇਦਪੁਰਾਨਿਹਾਰਿਹਠਿਛਾਡਿਓਤਦਪਿਧਿਆਨਨਆਏ॥੧॥
ਵੇਦਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਰਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਾਰ ਕੇ ਹਠ ਛਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਫਿਰ ਵੀ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ ॥੧॥
The Vedas and Puranas, became tired and forsook insistence, since He could not be visualized.1.
ਦਾਨਵਦੇਵਪਿਸਾਚਪ੍ਰੇਤਤੇਨੇਤਹਿਨੇਤਿਕਹਾਏ॥
ਦਾਨਵ, ਦੇਵਤੇ, ਪਿਸ਼ਾਚ, ਪ੍ਰੇਤ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨੇਤਿ ਨੇਤਿ (ਬੇਅੰਤ ਬੇਅੰਤ) ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
By demons, gods, ghosts, spirits, He was called indescribable,
ਸੂਛਮਤੇਸੂਛਮਕਰਿਚੀਨੇਬ੍ਰਿਧਨਬ੍ਰਿਧਬਤਾਏ॥੨॥
ਸੂਖਮ ਤੋਂ ਸੂਖਮ (ਉਹੀ) ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਵੀ ਉਹੀ ਦਸਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
He was considered the finest of the fine and the biggest of the big.2.
