Sorat'h, Third Mahalaa:
ਹਰਿਜੀਉਸਬਦੇਜਾਪਦਾਭਾਈਪੂਰੈਭਾਗਿਮਿਲਾਇ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪੂਰੀ ਕਿਸਮਤਿ ਨਾਲ (ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ) ਮਿਲਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Dear Lord is realized through the Word of His Shabad, O Siblings of Destiny, which is found only by perfect destiny.
ਸਦਾਸੁਖੁਸੋਹਾਗਣੀਭਾਈਅਨਦਿਨੁਰਤੀਆਰੰਗੁਲਾਇ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੀਆਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
The happy soul-brides are forever in peace, O Siblings of Destiny; night and day, they are attuned to the Lord's Love. ||1||
ਹਰਿਜੀਤੂਆਪੇਰੰਗੁਚੜਾਇ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਸਰਨ ਆਏ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਉਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਦਾ) ਰੰਗ ਚਾੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
O Dear Lord, You Yourself color us in Your Love.
ਗਾਵਹੁਗਾਵਹੁਰੰਗਿਰਾਤਿਹੋਭਾਈਹਰਿਸੇਤੀਰੰਗੁਲਾਇ॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਿਆਰ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਕਰੋ ਰਹਾਉ॥
Sing, continually sing His Praises, imbued with His Love, O Siblings of Destiny; be in love with the Lord. ||Pause||
ਗੁਰਕੀਕਾਰਕਮਾਵਣੀਭਾਈਆਪੁਛੋਡਿਚਿਤੁਲਾਇ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ, ਤੇ, ਮਨ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ,
Work to serve the Guru, O Siblings of Destiny; abandon self-conceit, and focus your consciousness.
ਸਦਾਸਹਜੁਫਿਰਿਦੁਖੁਨਲਗਈਭਾਈਹਰਿਆਪਿਵਸੈਮਨਿਆਇ॥੨॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਬਣੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
You shall be in peace forever, and you shall not suffer in pain any longer, O Siblings of Destiny; the Lord Himself shall come and abide in your mind. ||2||
ਪਿਰਕਾਹੁਕਮੁਨਜਾਣਈਭਾਈਸਾਕੁਲਖਣੀਕੁਨਾਰਿ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੀ, ਉਹ ਕੋਝੇ ਲੱਛਣਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ, ਚੰਦਰੀ ਹੈ।
She who does not know the Will of her Husband Lord, O Siblings of Destiny, is an ill-mannered and bitter bride.
ਮਨਹਠਿਕਾਰਕਮਾਵਣੀਭਾਈਵਿਣੁਨਾਵੈਕੂੜਿਆਰਿ॥੩॥
(ਜੇ ਉਹ ਵਿਖਾਵੇ-ਮਾਤਰ) ਮਨ ਦੇ ਹਠ ਨਾਲ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ) ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਭੀ, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣੀ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਝੂਠ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਵਣਜਾਰਨ ਬਣੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
She does things with a stubborn mind, O Siblings of Destiny; without the Name, she is false. ||3||
ਸੇਗਾਵਹਿਜਿਨਮਸਤਕਿਭਾਗੁਹੈਭਾਈਭਾਇਸਚੈਬੈਰਾਗੁ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਲੋਂ) ਉਪਰਾਮਤਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
They alone sing the Lord's Praises, who have such pre-ordained destiny written upon their foreheads, O Siblings of Destiny; through the Love of the True Lord, they find detachment.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁਰਾਤੇਗੁਣਰਵਹਿਭਾਈਨਿਰਭਉਗੁਰਲਿਵਲਾਗੁ॥੪॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ) ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਨਿਡਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਹੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਬਣੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥
Night and day, they are imbued with His Love; they utter His Glorious Praises, O Siblings of Destiny, and they lovingly focus their consciousness on the Fearless Guru. ||4||
ਸਭਨਾਮਾਰਿਜੀਵਾਲਦਾਭਾਈਸੋਸੇਵਹੁਦਿਨੁਰਾਤਿ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰੋ, ਜੋ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਜਿਵਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
He kills and revives all, O Siblings of Destiny; serve Him, day and night.
ਸੋਕਿਉਮਨਹੁਵਿਸਾਰੀਐਭਾਈਜਿਸਦੀਵਡੀਹੈਦਾਤਿ॥੫॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ) ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਭੁਲਾਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ॥੫॥
How can we forget Him from our minds, O Siblings of Destiny? His gifts are glorious and great. ||5||
ਮਨਮੁਖਿਮੈਲੀਡੁੰਮਣੀਭਾਈਦਰਗਹਨਾਹੀਥਾਉ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਸਦਾ ਡੋਲਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ।
The self-willed manmukh is filthy and double-minded, O Siblings of Destiny; she finds no place of rest in the Court of the Lord.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਹੋਵੈਤਗੁਣਰਵੈਭਾਈਮਿਲਿਪ੍ਰੀਤਮਸਾਚਿਸਮਾਉ॥੬॥
ਪਰ ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਆ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੬॥
But if she becomes Gurmukh, then she chants the Glorious Praises of the Lord, O Siblings of Destiny; she meets her True Beloved, and merges in Him. ||6||
ਏਤੁਜਨਮਿਹਰਿਨਚੇਤਿਓਭਾਈਕਿਆਮੁਹੁਦੇਸੀਜਾਇ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਨਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਉਹ (ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ) ਜਾ ਕੇ ਕੀਹ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਖਾਏਗਾ? (ਸ਼ਰਮ-ਸਾਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ)।
In this life, she has not focused her consciousness on the Lord, O Siblings of Destiny; how can she show her face when she leaves?
ਕਿੜੀਪਵੰਦੀਮੁਹਾਇਓਨੁਭਾਈਬਿਖਿਆਨੋਲੋਭਾਇ॥੭॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਲੋਭ ਵਿਚ ਫਸ ਕੇ, (ਸੁਚੇਤ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀਆਂ) ਵਾਜਾਂ ਪੈਂਦਿਆਂ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਲੁਟਾ ਲਿਆ ॥੭॥
In spite of the warning calls which were sounded, she has been plundered, O Siblings of Destiny; she yearned only for corruption. ||7||
ਨਾਮੁਸਮਾਲਹਿਸੁਖਿਵਸਹਿਭਾਈਸਦਾਸੁਖੁਸਾਂਤਿਸਰੀਰ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਖ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
Those who dwell upon the Naam, O Siblings of Destiny, their bodies are ever peaceful and tranquil.
ਨਾਨਕਨਾਮੁਸਮਾਲਿਤੂਭਾਈਅਪਰੰਪਰਗੁਣੀਗਹੀਰ॥੮॥੩॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਈ ਰੱਖ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਵੱਡੇ ਜਿਗਰੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੮॥੩॥
O Nanak, dwell upon the Naam; the Lord is infinite, virtuous and unfathomable, O Siblings of Destiny. ||8||3||
ਸੋਰਠਿਮਹਲਾ੫ਘਰੁ੧ਅਸਟਪਦੀਆ॥
ਰਾਗ ਸੋਰਠਿ, ਘਰ ੧ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਅੱਠ-ਬੰਦਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਾਣੀ।
Sorat'h, Fifth Mahalaa, First House, Ashtapadees:
ੴਸਤਿਗੁਰਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ॥
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਸਭੁਜਗੁਜਿਨਹਿਉਪਾਇਆਭਾਈਕਰਣਕਾਰਣਸਮਰਥੁ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ,
The One who created the whole world, O Siblings of Destiny, is the Almighty Lord, the Cause of causes.
ਜੀਉਪਿੰਡੁਜਿਨਿਸਾਜਿਆਭਾਈਦੇਕਰਿਅਪਣੀਵਥੁ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੱਤਿਆ ਦੇ ਕੇ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ) ਜਿੰਦ ਤੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਕਰਤਾਰ (ਤਾਂ) ਕਿਸੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਭੀ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
He fashioned the soul and the body, O Siblings of Destiny, by His own power.
ਕਿਨਿਕਹੀਐਕਿਉਦੇਖੀਐਭਾਈਕਰਤਾਏਕੁਅਕਥੁ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਦਸਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਜਾਏ?
How can He be described? How can He be seen, O Siblings of Destiny? The Creator is One; He is indescribable.
ਗੁਰੁਗੋਵਿੰਦੁਸਲਾਹੀਐਭਾਈਜਿਸਤੇਜਾਪੈਤਥੁ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮੂਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਪੈ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
Praise the Guru, the Lord of the Universe, O Siblings of Destiny; through Him, the essence is known. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇਮਨਜਪੀਐਹਰਿਭਗਵੰਤਾ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! (ਸਦਾ) ਹਰੀ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
O my mind, meditate on the Lord, the Lord God.
ਨਾਮਦਾਨੁਦੇਇਜਨਅਪਨੇਦੂਖਦਰਦਕਾਹੰਤਾ॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਉਹ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਪੀੜਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਰਹਾਉ॥
He blesses His servant with the gift of the Naam; He is the Destroyer of pain and suffering. ||Pause||
ਜਾਕੈਘਰਿਸਭੁਕਿਛੁਹੈਭਾਈਨਉਨਿਧਿਭਰੇਭੰਡਾਰ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਹਰੇਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨੌ ਹੀ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਭੰਡਾਰੇ ਭਰੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ,
Everything is in His home, O Siblings of Destiny; His warehouse is overflowing with the nine treasures.
ਤਿਸਕੀਕੀਮਤਿਨਾਪਵੈਭਾਈਊਚਾਅਗਮਅਪਾਰ॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈ ਸਕਦਾ, ਉਹ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਹੈ।
His worth cannot be estimated, O Siblings of Destiny; He is lofty, inaccessible and infinite.
ਜੀਅਜੰਤਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਦਾਭਾਈਨਿਤਨਿਤਕਰਦਾਸਾਰ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ) ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
He cherishes all beings and creatures, O Siblings of Destiny; he continually takes care of them.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁਪੂਰਾਭੇਟੀਐਭਾਈਸਬਦਿਮਿਲਾਵਣਹਾਰ॥੨॥
(ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ) ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ) ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
So meet with the Perfect True Guru, O Siblings of Destiny, and merge in the Word of the Shabad. ||2||
ਸਚੇਚਰਣਸਰੇਵੀਅਹਿਭਾਈਭ੍ਰਮੁਭਉਹੋਵੈਨਾਸੁ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਈ ਰੱਖਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨ ਦੀ) ਭਟਕਣਾ ਦਾ, (ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ) ਡਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Adoring the feet of the True Guru, O Siblings of Destiny, doubt and fear are dispelled.
ਮਿਲਿਸੰਤਸਭਾਮਨੁਮਾਂਜੀਐਭਾਈਹਰਿਕੈਨਾਮਿਨਿਵਾਸੁ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ਼ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ (ਮਨ ਦਾ) ਨਿਵਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Joining the Society of the Saints, cleanse your mind, O Siblings of Destiny, and dwell in the Name of the Lord.
ਮਿਟੈਅੰਧੇਰਾਅਗਿਆਨਤਾਭਾਈਕਮਲਹੋਵੈਪਰਗਾਸੁ॥
(ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਬੇ-ਸਮਝੀ ਦਾ ਹਨੇਰਾ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਦੇ) ਕੌਲ-ਫੁੱਲ ਦਾ ਖਿੜਾਉ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The darkness of ignorance shall be dispelled, O Siblings of Destiny, and the lotus of your heart shall blossom forth.
ਗੁਰਬਚਨੀਸੁਖੁਊਪਜੈਭਾਈਸਭਿਫਲਸਤਿਗੁਰਪਾਸਿ॥੩॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰਿਆਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਰੇ ਫਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
By the Guru's Word, peace wells up, O Siblings of Destiny; all fruits are with the True Guru. ||3||
