Your sons, taking the warriors with them, hit that sage with their legs.83.
ਤਬਛੁਟਾਧ੍ਯਾਨ॥
ਤਦ ਮਹਾਨ ਮਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੁਨੀ ਦਾ
ਮੁਨਿਮਨਿਮਹਾਨ॥
ਧਿਆਨ ਛੁਟ ਗਿਆ
ਨਿਕਸੀਸੁਜ੍ਵਾਲ॥
(ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਜੁਆਲਾ ਨਿਕਲੀ
ਦਾਵਾਬਿਸਾਲ॥੮੪॥
ਜੋ ਜੰਗਲ ਦੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਅੱਗ ਵਰਗੀ ਸੀ ॥੮੪॥
Then the meditation of that great sage was shattered and a huge fire came out of his eyes.84.
ਤਰੰਜਰੇਪੂਤ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ
ਕਹਿਐਸੇਦੂਤ॥
ਕਿ ਉਥੇ (ਤੁਹਾਡੇ) ਪੁੱਤਰ
ਸੈਨਾਸਮੇਤ॥
ਸੈਨਾ ਸਮੇਤ ਸੜ ਗਏ ਹਨ,
ਬਾਚਾਨਏਕ॥੮੫॥
(ਕੋਈ) ਇਕ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੮੫॥
The messenger told, “O king Sagar! in this way all your sons were burnt and reduced to ashes alongwith their army and not even one of them survived.”85.
ਸੁਨਿਪੁਤ੍ਰਨਾਸ॥
ਰਾਜ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ਼ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ
ਭਯੋਪੁਰਿਉਦਾਸ॥
ਸਾਰਾ ਨਗਰ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
ਜਹਤਹਸੁਲੋਗ॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਥੇ (ਉਥੋਂ ਦੇ) ਲੋਕ (ਪ੍ਰਜਾ)
ਬੈਠੇਸੁਸੋਗ॥੮੬॥
ਸੋਗ ਵਿਚ ਡੁਬੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਸਨ ॥੮੬॥
Hearing about the destruction of his sons, the whole city was steeped in sorrow and all the people here and there were filled with anguish.86.
ਸਿਵਸਿਮਰਬੈਣ॥
(ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਸਗਰ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ) 'ਸ਼ਿਵ ਸ਼ਿਵ' ਬਚਨ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ
ਜਲਥਾਪਿਨੈਣ॥
ਅਤੇ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੰਝੂ ਰੋਕ ਕੇ
ਕਰਿਧੀਰਜਚਿਤਿ॥
ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਧੀਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ
ਮੁਨਿਮਨਿਪਵਿਤ॥੮੭॥
ਅਤੇ ਮੁਨੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਕੀਤਾ ॥੮੭॥
All of them, remembering Shiva, withholding their tears assumed patience in their minds with the holy saying of the sages.87.
ਤਿਨਮ੍ਰਿਤਕਕਰਮ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ)

ਅਤੇ ਵੇਦ ਰੀਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ

ਹੋਰ ਧਰਮਕਰਮ ਬੜੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੇ ॥੮੮॥
Then the king performed the last funeral rites of all affectionately according to Vedic injunctions.88.

ਫਿਰ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੋਗ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ
ਗਯੇਸੁਰਗਲੋਗਿ॥
ਰਾਜਾ ਸਵਰਗ ਲੋਕ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਨ੍ਰਿਪਭੇਸੁਜੌਨ॥
(ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ) ਜਿਹੜੇ (ਹੋਰ) ਰਾਜੇ ਹੋਏ,
ਕਥਿਸਕੈਕੌਨ॥੮੯॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ) ਕਥਨ ਕੌਣ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ॥੮੯॥
In his extreme sorrow on the demise of his sons, the king left for heaven and after him, there were several other kings, who can describe them?89.

(ਜਿਸ ਦੀ) ਅਲੌਕਿਕ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਸੀ।

ਚੌਦਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਵਾਂ ਦੇ
ਸੋਭਾਸੁਭੰਤ॥੯੦॥
ਗਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੋਭਾਇਮਾਨ ਸੀ ॥੯੦॥
Then there was a most glorious king Yayati, whose fame had spread in the fourteen worlds.90.

ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨੈਨ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਨ,
ਜਨਰੂਪਮੈਨ॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਕਾਮਦੇਵ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਹੋਵੇ।

(ਉਹ) ਅਪਾਰ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਨਾਲ
ਸੋਭਤਸੁਧਾਰ॥੯੧॥
ਸੁਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ॥੯੧॥
His eyes were charming and his form of enormous glory was like the god of love.91.

(ਉਹ) ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ
ਸੋਭੰਤਭੂਪ॥
ਅਤੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਾਲਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੀ।
ਦਸਚਾਰਵੰਤ॥
(ਉਹ) ਚੌਦਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਗਿਆਤਾ
ਆਭਾਅਭੰਤ॥੯੨॥
ਅਤੇ ਅਲੌਕਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ ॥੯੨॥
The fourteen worlds had received brilliance from the glory of his charming elegance.92.

(ਉਹ) ਅਪਾਰ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ,
ਸੁੰਦਰਉਦਾਰ॥
ਸੁੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਦਾਰ ਸੀ।
ਦਸਚਾਰਿਵੰਤ॥
ਚੌਦਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ
ਸੋਭਾਸੁਭੰਤ॥੯੩॥
ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੋਭਾਇਮਾਨ ਸੀ ॥੯੩॥
That generous king had innumerable qualities and had skill in fourteen science.93.
ਧਨਗੁਨਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ॥
ਧਨ ਦੌਲਤ ਅਤੇ (ਅਨੇਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ ਸੀ,
ਪ੍ਰਭਕੋਅਧੀਨ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਅਧੀਨਗੀ (ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ)
ਸੋਭਾਅਪਾਰ॥
ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਰਾਜਕੁਮਾਰ ਅਪਾਰ
ਸੁੰਦਰਕੁਮਾਰ॥੯੪॥
ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ ॥੯੪॥
That beautiful king was most glorious, capable, expert in qualities and had faith in God.94.
ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰਗਸੁਧ॥
(ਉਹ) ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਗ ਸੀ।
ਕ੍ਰੋਧੀਸੁਜੁਧ॥
ਯੁੱਧ ਵੇਲੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਸੀ।
ਨ੍ਰਿਪਭਯੋਬੇਨ॥
(ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਬੇਨ (ਨਾਂ ਦਾ) ਰਾਜਾ ਹੋਇਆ,
ਜਨਕਾਮਧੇਨ॥੯੫॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ) ਮਾਨੋ ਕਾਮ ਧੇਨੁ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੯੫॥
The king had knowledge of Shastras, he was extremely furious in war, he was the fulfiller of all wishes like Kamadhenu, the wish-fulfilling cow.95.
ਖੂਨੀਸੁਖਗ॥
(ਉਹ) ਖ਼ੂਨਖ਼ਾਰ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ,
ਜੋਧਾਅਭਗ॥
ਨਾ ਭਜਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਯੋਧਾ ਸੀ,
ਖਤ੍ਰੀਅਖੰਡ॥
ਨਾ ਖੰਡੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ਸੀ
ਕ੍ਰੋਧੀਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ॥੯੬॥
ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ ॥੯੬॥
The king with his bloody dagger was and invincible, complete, furious and powerful warrior.96.
ਸਤ੍ਰੂਨਿਕਾਲ॥
(ਉਹ) ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਕਾਲ ਸੀ
ਕਾਢੀਕ੍ਰਵਾਲ॥
ਅਤੇ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਦਾ) ਤਲਵਾਰ ਕਢੀ ਰਖਦਾ ਸੀ।
ਸਮਤੇਜਭਾਨੁ॥
(ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਤੇਜ ਸੂਰਜ ਵਰਗਾ ਸੀ,
ਜ੍ਵਾਲਾਸਮਾਨ॥੯੭॥
ਅਥਵਾ ਅਗਨੀ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਸੀ ॥੯੭॥
When he drew his sword, he was like KAL (death) for his enemies, and his magnificence was like the fires of the sun.97.
ਜਬਜੁਰਤਜੰਗ॥
ਜਦ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਰੁਝ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ
ਨਹਿਮੁਰਤਅੰਗ॥
ਤਾਂ (ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਅੰਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਰਿਭਜਤਨੇਕ॥
ਅਨੇਕ ਵੈਰੀ ਭਜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ,
ਨਹਿਟਿਕਤਏਕ॥੯੮॥
ਇਕ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਟਿਕਦਾ ਸੀ ॥੯੮॥
When he fought, none of his limbs turned back, none of his enemies could stand before him and thus ran away.98.
ਥਰਹਰਤਭਾਨੁ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਤੋਂ) ਸੂਰਜ ਥਰਥਰ ਕੰਬਦਾ ਸੀ,
ਕੰਪਤਦਿਸਾਨ॥
ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਡੋਲਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
ਮੰਡਤਮਵਾਸ॥
ਆਕੀ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ
ਭਜਤਉਦਾਸ॥੯੯॥
ਉਦਾਸ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਭਜੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ॥੯੯॥
The sun trembled before him, the directions shivered, the opponents stood with bowed heads and would run away in anxiety.99.
ਥਰਹਰਤਬੀਰ॥
ਬੀਰ ਥਰਥਰ ਕੰਬਦੇ ਸਨ,
ਭੰਭਰਤਭੀਰ॥
ਡਰਪੋਕ ਭਜੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ,
ਤਤਜਤਦੇਸ॥
ਦੇਸ ਛਡ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
ਨ੍ਰਿਪਮਨਿਨਰੇਸ॥੧੦੦॥
(ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ) ਸ਼ਿਰੋਮਣੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੀ ॥੧੦੦॥
The warriors trembled, the cowards fled and the kings of various countries would break before him like thread.100.
