ਜਨਮਮਰਨਕਉਇਹੁਜਗੁਬਪੁੜੋਇਨਿਦੂਜੈਭਗਤਿਵਿਸਾਰੀਜੀਉ॥
ਇਹ ਭਾਗ-ਹੀਣ ਜਗਤ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਗੇੜ ਸਹੇੜ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਸ ਨੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
This wretched world is caught in birth and death; in the love of duality, it has forgotten devotional worship of the Lord.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁਮਿਲੈਤਗੁਰਮਤਿਪਾਈਐਸਾਕਤਬਾਜੀਹਾਰੀਜੀਉ॥੩॥
ਜੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ ਤਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਤੇ ਤੁਰਿਆਂ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ) ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਜੀਵ (ਭਗਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਖੁੰਝ ਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦੀ) ਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਹਾਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
Meeting the True Guru, the Guru's Teachings are obtained; the faithless cynic loses the game of life. ||3||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਬੰਧਨਤੋੜਿਨਿਰਾਰੇਬਹੁੜਿਨਗਰਭਮਝਾਰੀਜੀਉ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਤੋੜ ਕੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੇ।
Breaking my bonds, the True Guru has set me free, and I shall not be cast into the womb of reincarnation again.
ਨਾਨਕਗਿਆਨਰਤਨੁਪਰਗਾਸਿਆਹਰਿਮਨਿਵਸਿਆਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੀਜੀਉ॥੪॥੮॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ) ਗਿਆਨ ਦਾ ਰਤਨ ਚਮਕ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹਰੀ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ (ਆਪ) ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੮॥
O Nanak, the jewel of spiritual wisdom shines forth, and the Lord, the Formless Lord, dwells within my mind. ||4||8||
ਸੋਰਠਿਮਹਲਾ੧॥
Sorat'h, First Mahalaa:
ਜਿਸੁਜਲਨਿਧਿਕਾਰਣਿਤੁਮਜਗਿਆਏਸੋਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁਗੁਰਪਾਹੀਜੀਉ॥
ਜਿਸ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਆਏ ਹੋ ਉਹ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
The treasure of the Name, for which you have come into the world - that Ambrosial Nectar is with the Guru.
ਛੋਡਹੁਵੇਸੁਭੇਖਚਤੁਰਾਈਦੁਬਿਧਾਇਹੁਫਲੁਨਾਹੀਜੀਉ॥੧॥
ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਭੇਖ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਰਾਵਾ ਛੱਡੋ, ਮਨ ਦੀ ਚਲਾਕੀ ਵੀ ਛੱਡੋ, ਇਸ ਦੋ-ਰੁਖ਼ੀ ਚਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਂ ਇਹ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ-ਫਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧॥
Renounce costumes, disguises and clever tricks; this fruit is not obtained by duplicity. ||1||
ਮਨਰੇਥਿਰੁਰਹੁਮਤੁਕਤਜਾਹੀਜੀਉ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! (ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹੁ, (ਵੇਖੀਂ, ਨਾਮ-ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਵਿਚ) ਕਿਤੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਾਹ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਫਿਰੀਂ।
O my mind, remain steady, and do not wander away.
ਬਾਹਰਿਢੂਢਤਬਹੁਤੁਦੁਖੁਪਾਵਹਿਘਰਿਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁਘਟਮਾਹੀਜੀਉ॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਢੂੰਢਣ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁੱਖ ਪਾਏਂਗਾ। ਅਟੱਲ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਰਸ ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਰਹਾਉ॥
By searching around on the outside, you shall only suffer great pain; the Ambrosial Nectar is found within the home of your own being. ||Pause||
ਅਵਗਣਛੋਡਿਗੁਣਾਕਉਧਾਵਹੁਕਰਿਅਵਗਣਪਛੁਤਾਹੀਜੀਉ॥
ਔਗੁਣ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਜਤਨ ਕਰੋ। ਜੇ ਔਗੁਣ ਹੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੋਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਪਛੁਤਾਣਾ ਪਏਗਾ।
Renounce corruption, and seek virtue; committing sins, you shall only come to regret and repent.
ਸਰਅਪਸਰਕੀਸਾਰਨਜਾਣਹਿਫਿਰਿਫਿਰਿਕੀਚਬੁਡਾਹੀਜੀਉ॥੨॥
(ਹੇ ਮਨ!) ਤੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਕੜ ਵਿਚ ਡੁੱਬ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਚੰਗੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਦੀ ਪਰਖ ਕਰਨੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ॥੨॥
You do not know the difference between good and evil; again and again, you sink into the mud. ||2||
ਅੰਤਰਿਮੈਲੁਲੋਭਬਹੁਝੂਠੇਬਾਹਰਿਨਾਵਹੁਕਾਹੀਜੀਉ॥
ਜੇ ਅੰਦਰ (ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਲੋਭ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਲੋਭ-ਅਧੀਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਕਈ ਠੱਗੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਤਾਂ ਬਾਹਰ (ਤੀਰਥ ਆਦਿਕਾਂ ਤੇ) ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੀਹ ਲਾਭ?
Within you is the great filth of greed and falsehood; why do you bother to wash your body on the outside?
ਨਿਰਮਲਨਾਮੁਜਪਹੁਸਦਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਅੰਤਰਕੀਗਤਿਤਾਹੀਜੀਉ॥੩॥
ਅੰਦਰਲੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਬਣੇਗੀ, ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਮ ਜਪੋਗੇ ॥੩॥
Chant the Immaculate Naam, the Name of the Lord always, under Guru's Instruction; only then will your innermost being be emancipated. ||3||
ਪਰਹਰਿਲੋਭੁਨਿੰਦਾਕੂੜੁਤਿਆਗਹੁਸਚੁਗੁਰਬਚਨੀਫਲੁਪਾਹੀਜੀਉ॥
(ਹੇ ਮਨ!) ਲੋਭ ਛੱਡ, ਨਿੰਦਿਆ ਤੇ ਝੂਠ ਤਿਆਗ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਤੁਰਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ-ਫਲ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ।
Let greed and slander be far away from you, and renounce falsehood; through the True Word of the Guru's Shabad, you shall obtain the true fruit.
ਜਿਉਭਾਵੈਤਿਉਰਾਖਹੁਹਰਿਜੀਉਜਨਨਾਨਕਸਬਦਿਸਲਾਹੀਜੀਉ॥੪॥੯॥
(ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਉਵੇਂ ਰਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੯॥
As it pleases You, You preserve me, Dear Lord; servant Nanak sings the Praises of Your Shabad. ||4||9||
ਸੋਰਠਿਮਹਲਾ੧ਪੰਚਪਦੇ॥
Sorat'h, First Mahalaa, Panch-Padas:
ਅਪਨਾਘਰੁਮੂਸਤਰਾਖਿਨਸਾਕਹਿਕੀਪਰਘਰੁਜੋਹਨਲਾਗਾ॥
(ਹੇ ਮਨ!) ਤੇਰਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਲੁੱਟਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ, ਪਰਾਏ ਐਬ ਕਿਉਂ ਫੋਲਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ?
You cannot save your own home from being plundered; why do you spy on the houses of others?
ਘਰੁਦਰੁਰਾਖਹਿਜੇਰਸੁਚਾਖਹਿਜੋਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਸੇਵਕੁਲਾਗਾ॥੧॥
ਆਪਣਾ ਘਰ ਬਾਰ (ਲੁੱਟੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ) ਬਚਾ ਸਕੇਂਗਾ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਦ ਚੱਖੇਂਗਾ (ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਉਹੀ) ਸੇਵਕ (ਚੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ) ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ (ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿਚ) ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
That Gurmukh who joins himself to the Guru's service, saves his own home, and tastes the Lord's Nectar. ||1||
ਮਨਰੇਸਮਝੁਕਵਨਮਤਿਲਾਗਾ॥
ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਹੋਸ਼ ਕਰ, ਕਿਸ ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤ ਵਿਚ ਲਗ ਪਿਆ ਹੈਂ?
O mind, you must realize what your intellect is focused on.
ਨਾਮੁਵਿਸਾਰਿਅਨਰਸਲੋਭਾਨੇਫਿਰਿਪਛੁਤਾਹਿਅਭਾਗਾ॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਗ-ਹੀਣ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਸੁਆਦਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ, (ਵੇਲਾ ਬੀਤ ਜਾਣ ਤੇ) ਫਿਰ ਪਛਤਾਵੇਂਗਾ। ਰਹਾਉ॥
Forgetting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, one is involved with other tastes; the unfortunate wretch shall come to regret it in the end. ||Pause||
ਆਵਤਕਉਹਰਖਜਾਤਕਉਰੋਵਹਿਇਹੁਦੁਖੁਸੁਖੁਨਾਲੇਲਾਗਾ॥
(ਹੇ ਮਨ!) ਤੂੰ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਧਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਜਾਂਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਰੋਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਇਹ ਦੁੱਖ ਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਚੰਬੜਿਆ ਚਲਿਆ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
When things come, he is pleased, but when they go, he weeps and wails; this pain and pleasure remains attached to him.
ਆਪੇਦੁਖਸੁਖਭੋਗਿਭੋਗਾਵੈਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਸੋਅਨਰਾਗਾ॥੨॥
(ਪਰ ਜੀਵ ਕੀਹ ਵੱਸ?) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ) ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਤੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੋਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੁਝਾ ਕੇ (ਦੁੱਖ ਸੁਖ) ਭੋਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਸਿਰਫ਼) ਉਹ ਨਿਰਮੋਹ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
The Lord Himself causes him to enjoy pleasure and endure pain; the Gurmukh, however, remains unaffected. ||2||
ਹਰਿਰਸਊਪਰਿਅਵਰੁਕਿਆਕਹੀਐਜਿਨਿਪੀਆਸੋਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਗਾ॥
(ਹੇ ਮਨ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਸ ਤੋਂ ਵਧੀਆ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਰਸ ਕਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ। ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਰਸ ਪੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਰਸਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ) ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
What else can be said to be above the subtle essence of the Lord? One who drinks it in is satisfied and satiated.
ਮਾਇਆਮੋਹਿਤਜਿਨਿਇਹੁਰਸੁਖੋਇਆਜਾਸਾਕਤਦੁਰਮਤਿਲਾਗਾ॥੩॥
ਪਰ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸ ਕੇ ਇਹ (ਨਾਮ-) ਰਸ ਗਵਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਭੈੜੀ ਮੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
One who is lured by Maya loses this juice; that faithless cynic is tied to his evil-mindedness. ||3||
ਮਨਕਾਜੀਉਪਵਨਪਤਿਦੇਹੀਦੇਹੀਮਹਿਦੇਉਸਮਾਗਾ॥
ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼-ਰੂਪ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ, ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ।
The Lord is the life of the mind, the Master of the breath of life; the Divine Lord is contained in the body.
ਜੇਤੂਦੇਹਿਤਹਰਿਰਸੁਗਾਈਮਨੁਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੈਹਰਿਲਿਵਲਾਗਾ॥੪॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਰਸ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਹਰੀ-ਸਿਮਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥
If You so bless us, Lord, then we sing Your Praises; the mind is satisfied and fulfilled, lovingly attached to the Lord. ||4||
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿਮਹਿਹਰਿਰਸੁਪਾਈਐਗੁਰਿਮਿਲਿਐਜਮਭਉਭਾਗਾ॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਰਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ (ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ ਤਾਂ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ (ਭੀ) ਡਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the subtle essence of the Lord is obtained; meeting the Guru, the fear of death departs.
ਨਾਨਕਰਾਮਨਾਮੁਜਪਿਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਹਰਿਪਾਏਮਸਤਕਿਭਾਗਾ॥੫॥੧੦॥
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੇਖ ਉੱਘੜ ਪਏ, ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫॥੧੦॥
O Nanak, chant the Name of the Lord, as Gurmukh; you shall obtain the Lord, and realize your pre-ordained destiny. ||5||10||
ਸੋਰਠਿਮਹਲਾ੧॥

ਸਰਬਜੀਆਸਿਰਿਲੇਖੁਧੁਰਾਹੂਬਿਨੁਲੇਖੈਨਹੀਕੋਈਜੀਉ॥
ਧੁਰੋਂ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ) ਹੀ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ (ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ) ਲੇਖ (ਉੱਕਰਿਆ ਪਿਆ) ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਜੀਵ ਐਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਇਸ ਲੇਖ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਨਾਹ ਹੋਵੇ।
Destiny, pre-ordained by the Lord, looms over the heads of all beings; no one is without this pre-ordained destiny.
ਆਪਿਅਲੇਖੁਕੁਦਰਤਿਕਰਿਦੇਖੈਹੁਕਮਿਚਲਾਏਸੋਈਜੀਉ॥੧॥
ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਇਸ (ਕਰਮ-) ਲੇਖ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਤੰਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਨੂੰ ਰਚ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ (ਜਗਤ-ਕਾਰ) ਚਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
Only He Himself is beyond destiny; creating the creation by His creative power, He beholds it, and causes His Command to be followed. ||1||
ਮਨਰੇਰਾਮਜਪਹੁਸੁਖੁਹੋਈ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਸਦਾ ਰਾਮ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪੋ, (ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਨਾਲ) ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁਖ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ।
O mind, chant the Name of the Lord, and be at peace.
ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿਗੁਰਕੇਚਰਨਸਰੇਵਹੁਹਰਿਦਾਤਾਭੁਗਤਾਸੋਈ॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਉਸ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰੋ, ਉਹ ਹਰੀ (ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ) ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, (ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਭੋਗਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਰਹਾਉ॥
