ਦੂਖਰੋਗਭਏਗਤੁਤਨਤੇਮਨੁਨਿਰਮਲੁਹਰਿਹਰਿਗੁਣਗਾਇ॥
(ਹੇ ਮਾਂ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਤੇ ਰੋਗ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
Pain and disease have left my body, and my mind has become pure; I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਭਏਅਨੰਦਮਿਲਿਸਾਧੂਸੰਗਿਅਬਮੇਰਾਮਨੁਕਤਹੀਨਜਾਇ॥੧॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਨੰਦ ਹੀ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਪਾਸੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਭਟਕਦਾ ॥੧॥
I am in bliss, meeting with the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and now, my mind does not go wandering. ||1||
ਤਪਤਿਬੁਝੀਗੁਰਸਬਦੀਮਾਇ॥
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਬਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ) ਸੜਨ ਮਿਟ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
My burning desires are quenched, through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, O mother.
ਬਿਨਸਿਗਇਓਤਾਪਸਭਸਹਸਾਗੁਰੁਸੀਤਲੁਮਿਲਿਓਸਹਜਿਸੁਭਾਇ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਤੇ ਸਹਮ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਆਤਮਕ ਠੰਡ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ, ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ਮਗਨ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
The fever of doubt has been totally eliminated; meeting the Guru, I am cooled and soothed, with intuitive ease. ||1||Pause||
ਧਾਵਤਰਹੇਏਕੁਇਕੁਬੂਝਿਆਆਇਬਸੇਅਬਨਿਹਚਲੁਥਾਇ॥
(ਹੇ ਮਾਂ!) ਜਦੋਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਈ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆ ਭਟਕਣਾਂ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਅਡੋਲ-ਚਿੱਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਹਾਂ।
My wandering has ended, since I have realized the One and Only Lord; now, I have come to dwell in the eternal place.
ਜਗਤੁਉਧਾਰਨਸੰਤਤੁਮਾਰੇਦਰਸਨੁਪੇਖਤਰਹੇਅਘਾਇ॥੨॥
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
Your Saints are the Saving Grace of the world; beholding the Blessed Vision of their Darshan, I remain satisfied. ||2||
ਜਨਮਦੋਖਪਰੇਮੇਰੇਪਾਛੈਅਬਪਕਰੇਨਿਹਚਲੁਸਾਧੂਪਾਇ॥
(ਹੇ ਮਾਂ!) ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਅਡੋਲ-ਚਿੱਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਫੜ ਲਏ ਹਨ, ਮੇਰੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਮੇਰੀ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਕਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
I have left behind the sins of countless incarnations, now that I have grasped the feet of the eternal Holy Guru.
ਸਹਜਧੁਨਿਗਾਵੈਮੰਗਲਮਨੂਆਅਬਤਾਕਉਫੁਨਿਕਾਲੁਨਖਾਇ॥੩॥
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੀ ਸੁਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੁਣ ਇਸ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਹੜੱਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੀ ॥੩॥
My mind sings the celestial melody of bliss, and death shall no longer consume it. ||3||
ਕਰਨਕਾਰਨਸਮਰਥਹਮਾਰੇਸੁਖਦਾਈਮੇਰੇਹਰਿਹਰਿਰਾਇ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ! ਹੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਣ ਵਾਲੇ! ਹੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਕਰਾਣ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ!
My Lord, the Cause of all causes, is All-powerful, the Giver of peace; He is my Lord, my Lord King.
ਨਾਮੁਤੇਰਾਜਪਿਜੀਵੈਨਾਨਕੁਓਤਿਪੋਤਿਮੇਰੈਸੰਗਿਸਹਾਇ॥੪॥੯॥
(ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ) ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਯਾਦ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ (ਇਉਂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਦਾ) ਸਾਥੀ ਹੈਂ, (ਜਿਵੇਂ) ਤਾਣੇ ਪੇਟੇ ਵਿਚ (ਸੂਤਰ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੪॥੯॥
Nanak lives by chanting Your Name, O Lord; You are my helper, with me, through and through. ||4||9||
ਆਸਾਮਹਲਾ੫॥
Aasaa, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਅਰੜਾਵੈਬਿਲਲਾਵੈਨਿੰਦਕੁ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ) ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਬੜਾ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਬੜਾ ਵਿਲਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
The slanderer cries out and bewails.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁਪਰਮੇਸਰੁਬਿਸਰਿਆਅਪਣਾਕੀਤਾਪਾਵੈਨਿੰਦਕੁ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
(ਨਿੰਦਾ ਵਿਚ ਫਸੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਭੁੱਲਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ) ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਦੀ) ਕੀਤੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਦਾ (ਦੁੱਖ-ਰੂਪ) ਫਲ ਭੋਗਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
He has forgotten the Supreme Lord, the Transcendent Lord; the slanderer reaps the rewards of his own actions. ||1||Pause||
ਜੇਕੋਈਉਸਕਾਸੰਗੀਹੋਵੈਨਾਲੇਲਏਸਿਧਾਵੈ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਦਾ ਸਾਥੀ ਬਣੇ (ਨਿੰਦਕ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲ-ਜੋਲ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰੇ, ਤਾਂ ਨਿੰਦਕ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਪਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ)।
If someone is his companion, then he shall be taken along with him.
ਅਣਹੋਦਾਅਜਗਰੁਭਾਰੁਉਠਾਏਨਿੰਦਕੁਅਗਨੀਮਾਹਿਜਲਾਵੈ॥੧॥
ਨਿੰਦਕ (ਨਿੰਦਾ ਦਾ) ਮਨੋ-ਕਲਪਤ ਹੀ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਭਾਰ (ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ) ਚੁੱਕੀ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਿਚ ਸਾੜਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
Like the dragon, the slanderer carries his huge, useless loads, and burns in his own fire. ||1||
ਪਰਮੇਸਰਕੈਦੁਆਰੈਜਿਹੋਇਬਿਤੀਤੈਸੁਨਾਨਕੁਆਖਿਸੁਣਾਵੈ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਾਰੇ) ਜੇਹੜਾ ਨਿਯਮ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਨਕ ਉਹ ਨਿਯਮ (ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ) ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿ ਭਗਤ) ਜਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਤਾਂ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਿਚ ਸੜਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
Nanak proclaims and announces what happens at the Door of the Transcendent Lord.
ਭਗਤਜਨਾਕਉਸਦਾਅਨੰਦੁਹੈਹਰਿਕੀਰਤਨੁਗਾਇਬਿਗਸਾਵੈ॥੨॥੧੦॥
(ਪਰ) ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਭਗਤੀ ਦਾ ਸਦਕਾ) ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਭਗਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੧੦॥
The humble devotees of the Lord are forever in bliss; singing the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises, they blossom forth. ||2||10||
ਆਸਾਮਹਲਾ੫॥
Aasaa, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਜਉਮੈਕੀਓਸਗਲਸੀਗਾਰਾ॥
ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ,
Even though I totally decorated myself,
ਤਉਭੀਮੇਰਾਮਨੁਨਪਤੀਆਰਾ॥
ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟ ਨਾਹ ਹੋਇਆ।
still, my mind was not satisfied.
ਅਨਿਕਸੁਗੰਧਤਤਨਮਹਿਲਾਵਉ॥
ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸੁਗੰਧੀਆਂ ਵਰਤਦੀ ਹਾਂ,
I applied various scented oils to my body,
ਓਹੁਸੁਖੁਤਿਲੁਸਮਾਨਿਨਹੀਪਾਵਉ॥
ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਮੈਂ ਤਿਲ ਜਿਤਨਾ ਭੀ ਉਹ ਸੁਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ (ਜੋ ਸੁਖ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ)।
and yet, I did not obtain even a tiny bit of pleasure from this.
ਮਨਮਹਿਚਿਤਵਉਐਸੀਆਸਾਈ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ! ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਆਸਾਂ ਹੀ ਬਣਾਂਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹਾਂ,
Within my mind, I hold such a desire,
ਪ੍ਰਿਅਦੇਖਤਜੀਵਉਮੇਰੀਮਾਈ॥੧॥
(ਕਿ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਮਿਲੇ), ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
that I may live only to behold my Beloved, O my mother. ||1||
ਮਾਈਕਹਾਕਰਉਇਹੁਮਨੁਨਧੀਰੈ॥
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਮੈਂ ਕੀਹ ਕਰਾਂ? (ਪਿਆਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਖਲੋਂਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ।
O mother, what should I do? This mind cannot rest.
ਪ੍ਰਿਅਪ੍ਰੀਤਮਬੈਰਾਗੁਹਿਰੈ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਖਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
It is bewitched by the tender love of my Beloved. ||1||Pause||
ਬਸਤ੍ਰਬਿਭੂਖਨਸੁਖਬਹੁਤਬਿਸੇਖੈ॥
(ਸੋਹਣੇ) ਕੱਪੜੇ, ਗਹਣੇ, ਉਚੇਚੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸੁਖ-
Garments, ornaments, and such exquisite pleasures
ਓਇਭੀਜਾਨਉਕਿਤੈਨਲੇਖੈ॥
ਮੈਂ ਸਮਝਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਭੀ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ।
I look upon these as of no account.
ਪਤਿਸੋਭਾਅਰੁਮਾਨੁਮਹਤੁ॥
ਇੱਜ਼ਤ, ਸੋਭਾ, ਆਦਰ, ਵਡਿਆਈ (ਭੀ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਏ),
Likewise, honor, fame, dignity and greatness,
ਆਗਿਆਕਾਰੀਸਗਲਜਗਤੁ॥
ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ,
obedience by the whole world,
ਗ੍ਰਿਹੁਐਸਾਹੈਸੁੰਦਰਲਾਲ॥
ਬੜਾ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਤੇ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਘਰ (ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਭੀ)
and a household as beautiful as a jewel.
ਪ੍ਰਭਭਾਵਾਤਾਸਦਾਨਿਹਾਲ॥੨॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਲੱਗਾਂ ॥੨॥
If I am pleasing to God's Will, then I shall be blessed, and forever in bliss. ||2||
ਬਿੰਜਨਭੋਜਨਅਨਿਕਪਰਕਾਰ॥
(ਹੇ ਮਾਂ!) ਜੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦਲੇ ਖਾਣੇ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਣ,
With foods and delicacies of so many different kinds,
ਰੰਗਤਮਾਸੇਬਹੁਤੁਬਿਸਥਾਰ॥
ਜੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਤਮਾਸ਼ੇ (ਵੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਣ),
and such abundant pleasures and entertainments,
ਰਾਜਮਿਲਖਅਰੁਬਹੁਤੁਫੁਰਮਾਇਸਿ॥
ਜੇ ਰਾਜ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਏ, ਭੁਇਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਕੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਏ,
power and property and absolute command
ਮਨੁਨਹੀਧ੍ਰਾਪੈਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾਨਜਾਇਸਿ॥
ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਇਹ ਮਨ ਕਦੇ ਰੱਜਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਇਸ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਮੁੱਕਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ।
with these, the mind is not satisfied, and its thirst is not quenched.
ਬਿਨੁਮਿਲਬੇਇਹੁਦਿਨੁਨਬਿਹਾਵੈ॥
(ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਭੀ, ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ) ਮਿਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਦਿਨ (ਸੁਖ ਨਾਲ) ਨਹੀਂ ਲੰਘਦਾ।
Without meeting Him, this day does not pass.
ਮਿਲੈਪ੍ਰਭੂਤਾਸਭਸੁਖਪਾਵੈ॥੩॥
ਜਦੋਂ (ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
Meeting God, I find peace. ||3||
ਖੋਜਤਖੋਜਤਸੁਨੀਇਹਸੋਇ॥
ਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ (ਹੇ ਮਾਂ!) ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ,
By searching and seeking, I have heard this news,
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿਬਿਨੁਤਰਿਓਨਕੋਇ॥
ਕਿ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੇ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ) ਕੋਈ ਜੀਵ ਕਦੇ ਪਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੰਘ ਸਕਿਆ।
that without the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, no one swims across.
ਜਿਸੁਮਸਤਕਿਭਾਗੁਤਿਨਿਸਤਿਗੁਰੁਪਾਇਆ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਚੰਗਾ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗਿਆ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ,
One who has this good destiny written upon his forehead, finds the True Guru.
ਪੂਰੀਆਸਾਮਨੁਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਇਆ॥
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਆਸ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ,
His hopes are fulfilled, and his mind is satisfied.
ਪ੍ਰਭਮਿਲਿਆਤਾਚੂਕੀਡੰਝਾ॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਰੱਜ ਗਿਆ।
When one meets God, then his thirst is quenched.
ਨਾਨਕਲਧਾਮਨਤਨਮੰਝਾ॥੪॥੧੧॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਦੋਂ ਜੀਵ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਉਸ ਦੀ (ਅੰਦਰਲੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੀ) ਭੜਕੀ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਵੱਸਦਾ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ॥੪॥੧੧॥
Nanak has found the Lord, within his mind and body. ||4||11||
