ਮਇਆਕਰੀਪੂਰਨਹਰਿਰਾਇਆ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
The Sovereign Lord, the Perfect King, has shown His Mercy to me. ||1||Pause||
ਕਹੁਨਾਨਕਜਾਕੇਪੂਰੇਭਾਗ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ (ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ) ਪੂਰੇ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
Says Nanak, one whose destiny is perfect,
ਹਰਿਹਰਿਨਾਮੁਅਸਥਿਰੁਸੋਹਾਗੁ॥੨॥੧੦੬॥
ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਖਸਮ (ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੨॥੧੦੬॥
meditates on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, the Everlasting Husband. ||2||106||
ਗਉੜੀਮਹਲਾ੫॥
Gauree, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਧੋਤੀਖੋਲਿਵਿਛਾਏਹੇਠਿ॥
(ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਜਮਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹੀ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ) ਕਿ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਦਾਨ ਹੀ ਮੋਖ-ਪਦਵੀ ਮਿਲਣ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਹੈ।
He opens his loin-cloth, and spreads it out beneath him.
ਗਰਧਪਵਾਂਗੂਲਾਹੇਪੇਟਿ॥੧॥
ਉਹ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਸਰਾਧ ਆਦਿਕ ਦੇ ਸਮੇ ਜਜਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਚੌਕੇ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ) ਆਪਣੀ ਧੋਤੀ ਦਾ ਉਪਰਲਾ ਅੱਧਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਾਹ ਕੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਧਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਖੋਤੇ ਵਾਂਗ (ਦਬਾਦਬ ਖੀਰ ਆਦਿਕ) ਆਪਣੇ ਢਿੱਡ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
Like a donkey, he gulps down all that comes his way. ||1||
ਬਿਨੁਕਰਤੂਤੀਮੁਕਤਿਨਪਾਈਐ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਐਸਾ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Without good deeds, liberation is not obtained.
ਮੁਕਤਿਪਦਾਰਥੁਨਾਮੁਧਿਆਈਐ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੋਖ-ਪਦਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
The wealth of liberation is only obtained by meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਪੂਜਾਤਿਲਕਕਰਤਇਸਨਾਨਾਂ॥
(ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ) ਇਸਨਾਨ ਕਰਕੇ, ਤਿਲਕ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
He performs worship ceremonies, applies the ceremonial tilak mark to his forehead, and takes his ritual cleansing baths;
ਛੁਰੀਕਾਢਿਲੇਵੈਹਥਿਦਾਨਾ॥੨॥
ਤੇ ਛੁਰੀ ਕਢ ਕੇ, ਹਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਨ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
he pulls out his knife, and demands donations. ||2||
ਬੇਦੁਪੜੈਮੁਖਿਮੀਠੀਬਾਣੀ॥
(ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ) ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਤਾਂ ਮਿੱਠੀ ਸੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਦ (-ਮੰਤ੍ਰ) ਪੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ,
With his mouth, he recites the Vedas in sweet musical measures,
ਜੀਆਂਕੁਹਤਨਸੰਗੈਪਰਾਣੀ॥੩॥
ਪਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਜਮਾਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਧੋਖਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਰਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਝਿਜਕਦਾ ॥੩॥
and yet he does not hesitate to take the lives of others. ||3||
ਕਹੁਨਾਨਕਜਿਸੁਕਿਰਪਾਧਾਰੈ॥
(ਪਰ) ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- (ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਦੇ ਭੀ ਕੀਹ ਵੱਸ?) ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
Says Nanak, when God showers His Mercy,
ਹਿਰਦਾਸੁਧੁਬ੍ਰਹਮੁਬੀਚਾਰੈ॥੪॥੧੦੭॥
(ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਠੱਗੀ-ਫ਼ਰੇਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ) ॥੪॥੧੦੭॥
even his heart becomes pure, and he contemplates God. ||4||107||
ਗਉੜੀਮਹਲਾ੫॥
Gauree, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਥਿਰੁਘਰਿਬੈਸਹੁਹਰਿਜਨਪਿਆਰੇ॥
ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਜਨੋ! ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਪੂਰੀ ਸਰਧਾ ਬਣਾਓ,
Remain steady in the home of your own self, O beloved servant of the Lord.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿਤੁਮਰੇਕਾਜਸਵਾਰੇ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਕਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਵਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ (ਕਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਿਰੇ ਚਾੜ੍ਹ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
The True Guru shall resolve all your affairs. ||1||Pause||
ਦੁਸਟਦੂਤਪਰਮੇਸਰਿਮਾਰੇ॥
(ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ!) ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੋਖੀ ਵੈਰੀ ਸਭ ਮੁਕਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
The Transcendent Lord has struck down the wicked and the evil.
ਜਨਕੀਪੈਜਰਖੀਕਰਤਾਰੇ॥੧॥
(ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਧਾਰੋ ਕਿ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੋਰ ਆਸਰੇ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਤੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ) ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਰੱਖੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
The Creator has preserved the honor of His servant. ||1||
ਬਾਦਿਸਾਹਸਾਹਸਭਵਸਿਕਰਿਦੀਨੇ॥
(ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਬੇ-ਮੁਥਾਜ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
The kings and emperors are all under his power.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਨਾਮਮਹਾਰਸਪੀਨੇ॥੨॥
ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਰਸਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਪੀਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
He drinks deeply of the most sublime essence of the Ambrosial Naam. ||2||
ਨਿਰਭਉਹੋਇਭਜਹੁਭਗਵਾਨ॥
(ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਭਗਤ-ਜਨੋ!) ਤੁਸੀ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਰਹੋ।
Meditate fearlessly on the Lord God.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿਮਿਲਿਕੀਨੋਦਾਨੁ॥੩॥
(ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉਤੇ) ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
Joining the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, this gift is given. ||3||
ਸਰਣਿਪਰੇਪ੍ਰਭਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਦਰ ਤੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰ ਤੇ ਆਖ-) ਹੇ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਹਾਂ,
Nanak has entered the Sanctuary of God, the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts;
ਨਾਨਕਓਟਪਕਰੀਪ੍ਰਭਸੁਆਮੀ॥੪॥੧੦੮॥
ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼) ॥੪॥੧੦੮॥
he grasps the Support of God, his Lord and Master. ||4||108||
ਗਉੜੀਮਹਲਾ੫॥
Gauree, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਹਰਿਸੰਗਿਰਾਤੇਭਾਹਿਨਜਲੈ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਤੇ ਰਿਹਾਂ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੀ) ਅੱਗ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੜਦਾ,
One who is attuned to the Lord, shall not be burned in the fire.
ਹਰਿਸੰਗਿਰਾਤੇਮਾਇਆਨਹੀਛਲੈ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਿਹਾਂ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਮਾਇਆ ਠੱਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ,
One who is attuned to the Lord, shall not be enticed by Maya.
ਹਰਿਸੰਗਿਰਾਤੇਨਹੀਡੂਬੈਜਲਾ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਗ਼ਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ,
One who is attuned to the Lord, shall not be drowned in water.
ਹਰਿਸੰਗਿਰਾਤੇਸੁਫਲਫਲਾ॥੧॥
ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦਾ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
One who is attuned to the Lord, is prosperous and fruitful. ||1||
ਸਭਭੈਮਿਟਹਿਤੁਮਾਰੈਨਾਇ॥
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ (ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ) ਡਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
All fear is eradicated by Your Name.
ਭੇਟਤਸੰਗਿਹਰਿਹਰਿਗੁਨਗਾਇ॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਿਹਾਂ (ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ) ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
Joining the Sangat, the Holy Congregation, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, Har, Har. ||Pause||
ਹਰਿਸੰਗਿਰਾਤੇਮਿਟੈਸਭਚਿੰਤਾ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਿਹਾਂ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ) ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
One who is attuned to the Lord, is free of all anxieties.
ਹਰਿਸਿਉਸੋਰਚੈਜਿਸੁਸਾਧਕਾਮੰਤਾ॥
(ਪਰ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੁੜਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
One who is attuned to the Lord, is blessed with the Mantra of the Holy.
ਹਰਿਸੰਗਿਰਾਤੇਜਮਕੀਨਹੀਤ੍ਰਾਸ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਤੇ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਸਹਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ,
One who is attuned to the Lord, is not haunted by the fear of death.
ਹਰਿਸੰਗਿਰਾਤੇਪੂਰਨਆਸ॥੨॥
ਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਆਸਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
One who is attuned to the Lord, sees all his hopes fulfilled. ||2||
ਹਰਿਸੰਗਿਰਾਤੇਦੂਖੁਨਲਾਗੈ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
One who is attuned to the Lord, does not suffer in pain.
ਹਰਿਸੰਗਿਰਾਤਾਅਨਦਿਨੁਜਾਗੈ॥
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਲਿਆਂ ਵਲੋਂ) ਸੁਚੇਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
One who is attuned to the Lord, remains awake and aware, night and day.
ਹਰਿਸੰਗਿਰਾਤਾਸਹਜਘਰਿਵਸੈ॥
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੀ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
One who is attuned to the Lord, dwells in the home of intuitive peace.
ਹਰਿਸੰਗਿਰਾਤੇਭ੍ਰਮੁਭਉਨਸੈ॥੩॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਹਰੇਕ ਸਹਮ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
One who is attuned to the Lord, sees his doubts and fears run away. ||3||
ਹਰਿਸੰਗਿਰਾਤੇਮਤਿਊਤਮਹੋਇ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਤੇ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਅਕਲ ਸੁਅੱਛ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
One who is attuned to the Lord, has the most sublime and exalted intellect.
ਹਰਿਸੰਗਿਰਾਤੇਨਿਰਮਲਸੋਇ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਬੇ-ਦਾਗ਼ ਸੋਭਾ (ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਖਿਲਰਦੀ ਹੈ)।
One who is attuned to the Lord, has a pure and spotless reputation.
ਕਹੁਨਾਨਕਤਿਨਕਉਬਲਿਜਾਈ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
Says Nanak, I am a sacrifice to those
ਜਿਨਕਉਪ੍ਰਭੁਮੇਰਾਬਿਸਰਤਨਾਹੀ॥੪॥੧੦੯॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕਦੇ ਭੁੱਲਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੪॥੧੦੯॥
who do not forget my God. ||4||109||
ਗਉੜੀਮਹਲਾ੫॥
Gauree, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਉਦਮੁਕਰਤਸੀਤਲਮਨਭਏ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ) ਉੱਦਮ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ (ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਸ਼ਾਂਤ-ਚਿੱਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
Through sincere efforts, the mind is made peaceful and calm.
ਮਾਰਗਿਚਲਤਸਗਲਦੁਖਗਏ॥
(ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੇ) ਰਾਹ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ)।
Walking on the Lord's Way, all pains are taken away.
ਨਾਮੁਜਪਤਮਨਿਭਏਅਨੰਦ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਗਾਵਿਆਂ,
Chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the mind becomes blissful.
ਰਸਿਗਾਏਗੁਨਪਰਮਾਨੰਦ॥੧॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆਂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਹੀ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, supreme bliss is obtained. ||1||
ਖੇਮਭਇਆਕੁਸਲਘਰਿਆਏ॥
(ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਸੁਖ ਹੀ ਸੁਖ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੀ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
There is joy all around, and peace has come to my home.
ਭੇਟਤਸਾਧਸੰਗਿਗਈਬਲਾਏ॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਿਆਂ (ਮਾਇਆ-) ਚੁੜੇਲ (ਦੀ ਚੰਬੜ) ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
Joining the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, misfortune disappears. ||Pause||
ਨੇਤ੍ਰਪੁਨੀਤਪੇਖਤਹੀਦਰਸ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ (ਵਿਕਾਰ-ਵਾਸਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ)।
My eyes are purified, beholding the Blessed Vision of His Darshan.
ਧਨਿਮਸਤਕਚਰਨਕਮਲਹੀਪਰਸ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਮੱਥੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਛੋਹ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ।
Blessed is the forehead which touches His Lotus Feet.
ਗੋਬਿੰਦਕੀਟਹਲਸਫਲਇਹਕਾਂਇਆ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਸਫਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
Working for the Lord of the Universe, the body becomes fruitful.
