ਸਗਲਦੂਖਕਾਹੋਇਆਨਾਸੁ॥੨॥
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
all suffering comes to an end. ||2||
ਆਸਾਮਾਣੁਤਾਣੁਧਨੁਏਕ॥
ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਾਣ-ਤਾਣ ਤੇ ਧਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The One Lord is my hope, honor, power and wealth.
ਸਾਚੇਸਾਹਕੀਮਨਮਹਿਟੇਕ॥੩॥
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਾਹ-ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
Within my mind is the Support of the True Banker. ||3||
ਮਹਾਗਰੀਬਜਨਸਾਧਅਨਾਥ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜੇ) ਬੜੇ ਗਰੀਬ ਤੇ ਅਨਾਥ ਬੰਦੇ (ਸਨ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ (ਬਣ ਗਏ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਆ ਪਏ)
I am the poorest and most helpless servant of the Holy.
ਨਾਨਕਪ੍ਰਭਿਰਾਖੇਦੇਹਾਥ॥੪॥੮੫॥੧੫੪॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਕਲੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਰੱਖ ਲਿਆ ॥੪॥੮੫॥੧੫੪॥
O Nanak, giving me His Hand, God has protected me. ||4||85||154||

Gauree, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਹਰਿਹਰਿਨਾਮਿਮਜਨੁਕਰਿਸੂਚੇ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ (-ਤੀਰਥ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸੁੱਚੇ (ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ)।
Taking my cleansing bath in the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, I have been purified.
ਕੋਟਿਗ੍ਰਹਣਪੁੰਨਫਲਮੂਚੇ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
(ਨਾਮ-ਤੀਰਥ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ) ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਗ੍ਰਹਣਾਂ ਸਮੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਪੁੰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਫਲਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਭੀ ਵਧੀਕ ਫਲ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Its reward surpasses the giving of charity at millions of solar eclipses. ||1||Pause||
ਹਰਿਕੇਚਰਣਰਿਦੇਮਹਿਬਸੇ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਵੱਸ ਪੈਣ,
With the Lord's Feet abiding in the heart,
ਜਨਮਜਨਮਕੇਕਿਲਵਿਖਨਸੇ॥੧॥
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ (ਕੀਤੇ) ਪਾਪ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
the sinful mistakes of countless incarnations are removed. ||1||
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿਕੀਰਤਨਫਲੁਪਾਇਆ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ) ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ,
I have obtained the reward of the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਜਮਕਾਮਾਰਗੁਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿਨਆਇਆ॥੨॥
ਜਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰੀਂ ਭੀ ਨ ਪਿਆ (ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਭੀ ਨਾਹ ਢੁੱਕੀ) ॥੨॥
I no longer have to gaze upon the way of death. ||2||
ਮਨਬਚਕ੍ਰਮਗੋਵਿੰਦਅਧਾਰੁ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ) ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੋਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦੇ ਨਾਮ) ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ,
In thought, word and deed, seek the Support of the Lord of the Universe;
ਤਾਤੇਛੁਟਿਓਬਿਖੁਸੰਸਾਰੁ॥੩॥
ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਸੰਸਾਰ (ਦਾ ਮੋਹ) ਪਰੇ ਹਟ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਤੋਂ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਹ) ਜ਼ਹਰ ਪਰੇ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ (ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਮੁਕਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੩॥
thus you shall be saved from the poisonous world-ocean. ||3||
ਕਰਿਕਿਰਪਾਪ੍ਰਭਿਕੀਨੋਅਪਨਾ॥
ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ,
Granting His Grace, God has made me His Own.
ਨਾਨਕਜਾਪੁਜਪੇਹਰਿਜਪਨਾ॥੪॥੮੬॥੧੫੫॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੮੬॥੧੫੫॥
Nanak chants and meditates on the Chant of the Lord's Name. ||4||86||155||
ਗਉੜੀਮਹਲਾ੫॥
Gauree, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਪਉਸਰਣਾਈਜਿਨਿਹਰਿਜਾਤੇ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਪਾ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਰਹੁ,
Seek the Sanctuary of those who have come to know the Lord.
ਮਨੁਤਨੁਸੀਤਲੁਚਰਣਹਰਿਰਾਤੇ॥੧॥
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾਇਆਂ ਮਨ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਸਰੀਰ (ਭਾਵ, ਹਰੇਕ ਇੰਦ੍ਰਾ) ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
Your mind and body shall become cool and peaceful, imbued with the Feet of the Lord. ||1||
ਭੈਭੰਜਨਪ੍ਰਭਮਨਿਨਬਸਾਹੀ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਸਾਂਦੇ,
If God, the Destroyer of fear, does not dwell within your mind,
ਡਰਪਤਡਰਪਤਜਨਮਬਹੁਤੁਜਾਹੀ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਡਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੰਬਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਬੀਤ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
you shall spend countless incarnations in fear and dread. ||1||Pause||
ਜਾਕੈਰਿਦੈਬਸਿਓਹਰਿਨਾਮ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਵੱਸ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
Those who have the Lord's Name dwelling within their hearts
ਸਗਲਮਨੋਰਥਤਾਕੇਪੂਰਨਕਾਮ॥੨॥
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਸਫਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
have all their desires and tasks fulfilled. ||2||
ਜਨਮੁਜਰਾਮਿਰਤੁਜਿਸੁਵਾਸਿ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਸਾਡਾ ਜੀਊਣ, ਸਾਡਾ ਬੁਢੇਪਾ ਤੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਮੌਤ ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ,
Birth, old age and death are in His Power,
ਸੋਸਮਰਥੁਸਿਮਰਿਸਾਸਿਗਿਰਾਸਿ॥੩॥
ਉਸ ਸਭ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਗਿਰਾਹੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ ॥੩॥
so remember that All-powerful Lord with each breath and morsel of food. ||3||
ਮੀਤੁਸਾਜਨੁਸਖਾਪ੍ਰਭੁਏਕ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਉਸ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ (ਸਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ) ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ।
The One God is my Intimate, Best Friend and Companion.
ਨਾਮੁਸੁਆਮੀਕਾਨਾਨਕਟੇਕ॥੪॥੮੭॥੧੫੬॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ (ਸਾਡਾ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ) ਮਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ ਸੱਜਣ ਹੈ ਸਾਥੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੮੭॥੧੫੬॥
The Naam, the Name of my Lord and Master, is Nanak's only Support. ||4||87||156||

ਬਾਹਰਿਰਾਖਿਓਰਿਦੈਸਮਾਲਿ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਰ-ਵਿਹਾਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਂਭ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
When they are out and about, they keep Him enshrined in their hearts;
ਘਰਿਆਏਗੋਵਿੰਦੁਲੈਨਾਲਿ॥੧॥
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
returning home, the Lord of the Universe is still with them. ||1||
ਹਰਿਹਰਿਨਾਮੁਸੰਤਨਕੈਸੰਗਿ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is the Companion of His Saints.
ਮਨੁਤਨੁਰਾਤਾਰਾਮਕੈਰੰਗਿ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ (ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-) ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ (ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦਾ) ਮਨ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਹਰੇਕ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਾ) ਰੰਗਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Their minds and bodies are imbued with the Love of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰਪਰਸਾਦੀਸਾਗਰੁਤਰਿਆ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਂਭ ਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ) ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
By Guru's Grace, one crosses over the world-ocean;
ਜਨਮਜਨਮਕੇਕਿਲਵਿਖਸਭਿਹਿਰਿਆ॥੨॥
ਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ (ਪਹਿਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ) ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
the sinful mistakes of countless incarnations are all washed away. ||2||
ਸੋਭਾਸੁਰਤਿਨਾਮਿਭਗਵੰਤੁ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ) ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ) ਵਡਿਆਈ ਖੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਦੀ ਹੈ।
Honor and intuitive awareness are acquired through the Name of the Lord God.
ਪੂਰੇਗੁਰਕਾਨਿਰਮਲਮੰਤੁ॥੩॥
(ਤੂੰ ਭੀ) ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ (ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ॥੩॥
The Teachings of the Perfect Guru are immaculate and pure. ||3||
ਚਰਣਕਮਲਹਿਰਦੇਮਹਿਜਾਪੁ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਤੂੰ ਭੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ) ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹੁ।
Within your heart, meditate on His Lotus Feet.
ਨਾਨਕੁਪੇਖਿਜੀਵੈਪਰਤਾਪੁ॥੪॥੮੮॥੧੫੭॥
ਨਾਨਕ (ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ) ਪਰਤਾਪ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੮੮॥੧੫੭॥
Nanak lives by beholding the Lord's Expansive Power. ||4||88||157||

ਧੰਨੁਇਹੁਥਾਨੁਗੋਵਿੰਦਗੁਣਗਾਏ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਵਿਆਂ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ) ਇਹ ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਥਾਂ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
Blessed is this place, where the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe are sung.
ਕੁਸਲਖੇਮਪ੍ਰਭਿਆਪਿਬਸਾਏ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਆ ਵੱਸੀ, ਉਸ ਵਿਚ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਲਿਆ ਵਸਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
God Himself bestows peace and pleasure. ||1||Pause||
ਬਿਪਤਿਤਹਾਜਹਾਹਰਿਸਿਮਰਨੁਨਾਹੀ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਬਿਪਤਾ (ਸਦਾ) ਉਸ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਵਾਪਰੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ) ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦੇ ਨਾਮ) ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
Misfortune occurs where the Lord is not remembered in meditation.
ਕੋਟਿਅਨੰਦਜਹਹਰਿਗੁਨਗਾਹੀ॥੧॥
ਜਿਸ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਥੇ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਹੀ ਆਨੰਦ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
There are millions of joys where the Glorious Praises of the Lord are sung. ||1||
ਹਰਿਬਿਸਰਿਐਦੁਖਰੋਗਘਨੇਰੇ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦਾ ਨਾਮ) ਵਿਸਰ ਜਾਏ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਦੁੱਖ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਰੋਗ (ਆ ਘੇਰਦੇ ਹਨ)।
Forgetting the Lord, all sorts of pains and diseases come.
ਪ੍ਰਭਸੇਵਾਜਮੁਲਗੈਨਨੇਰੇ॥੨॥
(ਪਰ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਜਮ (ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਭਉ) ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਢੁੱਕਦਾ (ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ) ॥੨॥
Serving God, the Messenger of Death will not even approach you. ||2||
ਸੋਵਡਭਾਗੀਨਿਹਚਲਥਾਨੁ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਉਹ ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਥਾਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਅਡੋਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
Very blessed, stable and sublime is that place,
ਜਹਜਪੀਐਪ੍ਰਭਕੇਵਲਨਾਮੁ॥੩॥
ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
where the Name of God alone is chanted. ||3||
ਜਹਜਾਈਐਤਹਨਾਲਿਮੇਰਾਸੁਆਮੀ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਜਿਧਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਧਰ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
Wherever I go, my Lord and Master is with me.
ਨਾਨਕਕਉਮਿਲਿਆਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ॥੪॥੮੯॥੧੫੮॥
ਸਭ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੮੯॥੧੫੮॥
Nanak has met the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts. ||4||89||158||
ਗਉੜੀਮਹਲਾ੫॥
Gauree, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਜੋਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਗੋਵਿੰਦੁਧਿਆਵੈ॥
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
That mortal who meditates on the Lord of the Universe,
ਪੜਿਆਅਣਪੜਿਆਪਰਮਗਤਿਪਾਵੈ॥੧॥
ਉਹ ਚਾਹੇ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਹੋਵੇ ਚਾਹੇ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ-ਹੀਨ, ਉਹ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
whether educated or uneducated, obtains the state of supreme dignity. ||1||
ਸਾਧੂਸੰਗਿਸਿਮਰਿਗੋਪਾਲ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ (ਰਹਿ ਕੇ) ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਲਣਹਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਦੇ ਨਾਮ) ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ।
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, meditate on the Lord of the World.
ਬਿਨੁਨਾਵੈਝੂਠਾਧਨੁਮਾਲੁ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਧਨ ਕੋਈ ਮਾਲ ਪੱਕਾ ਸਾਥ ਨਿਬਾਹੁਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Without the Name, wealth and property are false. ||1||Pause||
