ਜ਼ਿਮੀਲਾਲਸ਼ੁਦਚੂੰਗੁਲੇਲਾਲਹਰੰਗ॥੧੬੨॥
ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਪੋਸਤ ਦੇ ਫੁਲ ਵਾਂਗ ਲਾਲ ਹੋ ਗਈ ॥੧੬੨॥
And the earth turned into red-flowery colour all around.(162)
ਹਹਾਹੂਦਰਾਮਦਚੁਪਹਨੰਦਰੂੰ॥
ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਰੌਲਾ ਪਿਆ
When the blood-sucking daggers struck out,
ਦਿਹਾਦਿਹਸ਼ੁਦਹਖ਼ੰਜਰੇਖ਼ਾਰਖੂੰ॥੧੬੩॥
ਅਤੇ ਲਹੂ ਪੀਣੀਆਂ ਖ਼ੰਜਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਲਾਚਲੀ ਹੋਈ ॥੧੬੩॥
The shrieks flowed from the war-zones.(163)
ਬਰਖ਼ਸ਼ਅੰਦਰਆਮਦਯਕੇਤਾਬਰੰਗ॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਇਕ ਲਿਸ਼ਕ ਨੇ ਝਲਕਾਰਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ,
When two of the steadfast warriors on the horsebacks entered the fighting,
ਬਰਖ਼ਸ਼ਅੰਦਰਆਮਦਦੁਚਾਲਾਕਜੰਗ॥੧੬੪॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਯੁੱਧ-ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਦੋ ਚੁਸਤ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਆਏ ॥੧੬੪॥
There was lighting all around.(164)
ਬਸ਼ੋਰਸ਼ਦਰਾਮਦਸਰਾਫ਼ੀਲਸੂਰ॥
ਉਦੋਂ ਇਸਰਾਫ਼ੀਲ (ਫਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ) ਨੇ ਕਿਆਮਤ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਦੀ ਤੁਰੀ ਵਜਾਈ
The way a Sraphil Angel appears and it becomes boisterous all over,
ਬਰਖ਼ਸ਼ਅੰਦਰਆਮਦਤਨੇਖ਼ਾਸਹੂਰ॥੧੬੫॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਖ਼ੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਹੂਰ ਘੋੜੇ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ-ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਆਈ ॥੧੬੫॥
(Same way) the enemy was confused and disrupted.(165)
ਬਸ਼ੋਰਸ਼ਦਰਾਮਦਜ਼ਿਤਨਦਰਖ਼ਰੋਸ਼॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਯੁੱਧ ਦਾ ਰੌਲਾ ਮਚਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਜਾਗਿਆ
When it was raucous all around,
ਬਬਾਜੂਇਮਰਦਾਬਰਾਵੁਰਦਜੋਸ਼॥੧੬੬॥
ਅਤੇ ਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਜ਼ੂਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋਸ਼ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੬੬॥
The soldiers’ arms flickered in anger.(166)
ਯਕੇਫ਼ਰਸ਼ਆਰਾਸਤਸੁਰਖ਼ਅਤਲਸੇ॥
(ਯੁੱਧ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਨਾਲ) ਇਕੋ ਵਾਰ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਲਾਲ ਅਤਲਸ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਰਸ਼ ਵਿਛਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
The shinning ground turned and looked as if painted in red,
ਬੁਖ਼ਾਨਦਚੁਮਕਤਬਜ਼ੁਬਾਪਹਿਲੂਏ॥੧੬੭॥
(ਉਥੇ ਸ਼ੋਰ ਇਤਨਾ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ) ਮਾਨੋ ਮਦਰਸੇ ਵਿਚ ਬੱਚੇ ਪਹਿਲਵੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ ॥੧੬੭॥
The floor of a school with children reading sitting on top.(167)
ਬਮਰਦਮਚੁਨਾਕੁਸ਼ਤਸ਼ੁਦਕਾਰਜ਼ਾਰ॥
ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਇਤਨੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ
Such a great number were killed,
ਜ਼ੁਬਾਦਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਮਨਿਯਾਯਦਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ॥੧੬੮॥
ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਜ਼ਬਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ॥੧੬੮॥
That they could not be enumerated.(168)
ਗੁਰੇਜ਼ਾਸ਼ਵਦਸ਼ਾਹਿਮਾਯੰਦਰਾ॥
ਮਾਯੰਦਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਉਥੋਂ ਭਜ ਗਿਆ
The king of Mayindra ran away,
ਬਕੁਸ਼ਤੰਦਲਸ਼ਕਰਗਿਰਾਤਾਗਿਰਾ॥੧੬੯॥
ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਸੈਨਾ ਮਾਰੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ ॥੧੬੯॥
As most of his army was decimated.(169)
ਕਿਪੁਸ਼ਤਸ਼ਬਿਅਫ਼ਤਾਦਦੁਖ਼ਤਰਵਜ਼ੀਰ॥
ਉਸ ਪਿਛੇ ਵਜ਼ੀਰ ਦੀ ਲੜਕੀ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ
The Minister’s daughter pursued him,
ਬਿਬਸਤੰਦਓਰਾਕਿਕਰਦੰਦਅਸੀਰ॥੧੭੦॥
ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਕੈਦ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ॥੧੭੦॥
Caught him, tied him and made him prisoner.(170)
ਬਨਿਜ਼ਦੇਬਿਯਾਵੁਰਦਜੋਸ਼ਾਹਖ਼ੇਸ਼॥
ਉਹ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਾਹ (ਅਰਥਾਤ-ਪਤੀ) ਕੋਲ ਲੈ ਆਈ
She brought the King (Mayindra) to the ruler,
ਬਿਗੁਫ਼ਤਹਕਿਏਸ਼ਾਹਸ਼ਾਹਾਨਵੇਸ਼॥੧੭੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗੀ ਕਿ ਐ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ! ॥੧੭੧॥
And said, ‘Oh, you the king of kings,(171)
ਬਿਗੋਯਦਕਿਈਂਸ਼ਾਹਮਾਯੰਦਰਾ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮਾਯੰਦਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ
‘He is the King of Mayindra,
ਬਿਬਸਤਹਬਿਯਾਵੁਰਦਨਿਜ਼ਦੇਸ਼ੁਮਾ॥੧੭੨॥
ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਆਈ ਹਾਂ ॥੧੭੨॥
‘Whom I have brought to you tied up.(172)
ਅਗ਼ਰਤੋਬਿਗੋਈਬਜ਼ਾਈਂਬੁਰਮ॥
ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਹੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਜਾਨ ਲੈ ਲਵਾਂ
‘If you order, I would kill him,
ਵਗ਼ਰਤੋਬਿਗੋਈਬਜ਼ਿੰਦਾਦਿਹਮ॥੧੭੩॥
ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਹੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਅੰਦਰ ਡਕ ਦਿਆਂ ॥੧੭੩॥
‘Or I would imprison him under lock and key.’(173)
ਬਜ਼ਿੰਦਾਸਪੁਰਦੰਦਓਰਾਅਜ਼ੀਮ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਿਚ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ
He was despatched to the big prison,
ਸਿਤਾਨਦਅਜ਼ੋਤਾਜਸ਼ਾਹੀਕਲੀਮ॥੧੭੪॥
ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਜ-ਤਖ਼ਤ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ॥੧੭੪॥
And his canopy of the authority of ruling was snatched away.(174)
ਸ਼ਹਿਨਸ਼ਾਹਗੀਯਾਫ਼ਤਹੁਕਮੋਰਜ਼ਾਕ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਈ
With the benevolence of the Provider, she attained the monarchy,
ਕਸੇਦੁਸ਼ਮਨਾਰਾਕੁਨਦਚਾਕਚਾਕ॥੧੭੫॥
ਅਤੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਟੋਟੇ ਟੋਟੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ॥੧੭੫॥
After tearing off so many other sovereigns.(175)
ਚੁਨਾਕਰਦਸ਼ੁਦਕਸਦਮਿਹਨਤਕਸੇ॥
ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਔਕੜਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
Whosoever performs the deeds with such zeal,
ਕਿਰਹਮਤਬਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀਦਜੋਰਹਮਤੇ॥੧੭੬॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੭੬॥
He is bestowed with His beneficence.(176)
ਕਿਓਸ਼ਾਹਬਾਨੂਸ਼ੁਦੋਮੁਲਕਸ਼ਾਹ॥
ਉਹ ਉਸ ਮੁਲਕ ਦੇ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ ਬੇਗਮ ਬਣ ਗਈ
The princess became the consort of the ruler,
ਕਿਸ਼ਾਹੀਹਮੀਯਾਫ਼ਤਹੁਕਮੇਇਲਾਹ॥੧੭੭॥
ਅਤੇ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਈ ॥੧੭੭॥
As she attained the kingdom with godly compassion.(177)
ਬਿਦਿਹਸਾਕੀਯਾਸਾਗ਼ਰੇਸਬਜ਼ਆਬ॥
ਹੇ ਸਾਕੀ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹਰੇ ਰੰਗ (ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ) ਦਾ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ
(The Poet says), ‘Oh, Saki, give me the cup full of green liquid,
ਕਿਬੇਰੂੰਬਿਅਫ਼ਤਾਦਪਰਦਹਨਕਾਬ॥੧੭੮॥
ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਘੁੰਡ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾ ਹਟ ਜਾਏ ॥੧੭੮॥
‘So that I may keep the secret enshroud.(178)
ਬਿਦਿਹਸਾਕੀਯਾਸਬਜ਼ਰੰਗੇਫ਼ਿਰੰਗ॥
ਹੇ ਸਾਕੀ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹਰੇ ਰੰਗ (ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ) ਦਾ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ
‘Oh Saki! Give me the greenish wine of Europe,
ਕਿਵਕਤੇਬਕਾਰਅਸਤਅਜ਼ਰੋਜ਼ਜੰਗ॥੧੭੯॥੧੦॥
ਜੋ ਜੰਗ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੭੯॥੧੦॥
‘Which I may need on the day of war.(179)(10)
ੴਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀਕੀਫ਼ਤਹ॥
The Lord is One and the Victory is of the True Guru.
ਤੁਈਂਦਸਤਗੀਰਅਸਤਦਰਮਾਦਗਾ॥
ਹੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ! ਤੂੰ ਦੁਖਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੱਥ ਪਕੜਨ ਵਾਲਾ (ਸਹਾਇਕ) ਹੈਂ।
You are the guide of us who are trodden,
ਤੁਈਂਕਾਰਸਾਜ਼ਅਸਤਬੇਚਾਰਗਾ॥੧॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆਂ (ਨਿਆਸਰਿਆਂ) ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਵਾਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥
And you are the rejuvenator of the hapless ones.(1)
ਸ਼ਹਿਨਸ਼ਾਹਿਬਖਸ਼ਿੰਦਏਬੇਨਿਆਜ਼॥
ਤੂੰ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ, ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਨਿਆਜ਼ ਹੈਂ।
You grant kingdom even to non-aspirants,
ਜ਼ਿਮੀਨੋਜ਼ਮਾਰਾਤੁਈਂਕਾਰਸਾਜ਼॥੨॥
ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਤਕ ਦਾ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਕਾਰ-ਸਾਜ਼ ਹੈਂ ॥੨॥
The Heaven and the Earth, all function under Your command.(2)
ਹਿਕਾਯਤਸ਼ੁਨੀਦੇਮਸ਼ਾਹੇਕਲਿਜੰਰ॥
ਮੈਂ ਕਲਿੰਜਰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਸੁਣੀ ਹੈ
Here now is the tale of the king of Kalandhar,
ਕੁਨਾਨੀਦਯਕਦਰਚੁਅਜ਼ਕੋਹਮੰਜਰ॥੩॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਪਹਾੜ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਬਣਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ ॥੩॥
Who had built a monumental gateway.(3)
ਯਕੇਪਿਸਰਓਬੂਦਹੁਸਨੁਲਜਮਾਲ॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ
He had a son who excelled in handsomeness,
ਕਿਲਾਯਕਜਹਾਬੂਦਅਜ਼ਮੁਲਕਮਾਲ॥੪॥
ਜੋ ਮੁਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਯੋਗ ਸੀ ॥੪॥
And whose intellect made him worthy of managing his countries’ affairs.(4)
ਯਕੇਸ਼ਾਹਿਓਜਾਵਦੁਖ਼ਤਰਅਜ਼ੋ॥
ਉਸੇ ਨਗਰ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ ਪੁੱਤਰੀ ਸੀ।
At the same place, there was a daughter of a tycoon,
ਕਿਦੀਗਰਨਜ਼ਨਬੂਦਸਮਨਬਰਕਜ਼ੋ॥੫॥
ਚੰਮੇਲੀ ਦੇ ਪੱਤਰ ਵਰਗੀ ਕੋਮਲ ਉਸ ਵਰਗੀ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਲੜਕੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ॥੫॥
She was as delicate as the leaves of a jasmine.(5)
ਵਜ਼ਾਦੁਖ਼ਤਰੇਸ਼ਾਹਆਂਪਿਸਰਸ਼ਾਹ॥
ਉਹ ਲੜਕੀ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਉਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ
That daughter fell in love with the son of the king,
ਸ਼ੁਦਆਸ਼ੁਫ਼ਤਹਬਰਵੈਚੁਬਰਸ਼ਮਸ਼ਮਾਹ॥੬॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਸੂਰਜ ਉਤੇ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੬॥
As much as the moon falls for the sun.(6)
