ਅੰਧਕੂਪਤੇਕੰਢੈਚਾੜੇ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੰਢੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
You pulled me out of the deep, dark well onto the dry ground.
ਕਰਿਕਿਰਪਾਦਾਸਨਦਰਿਨਿਹਾਲੇ॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
Showering Your Mercy, You blessed Your servant with Your Glance of Grace.
ਗੁਣਗਾਵਹਿਪੂਰਨਅਬਿਨਾਸੀਕਹਿਸੁਣਿਤੋਟਿਨਆਵਣਿਆ॥੪॥
ਉਹ ਸੇਵਕ ਅਬਿਨਾਸ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਹਨ) ਆਖਣ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣਨ ਨਾਲ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ) ਖ਼ਾਤਮਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੪॥
I sing the Glorious Praises of the Perfect, Immortal Lord. By speaking and hearing these Praises, they are not used up. ||4||
ਐਥੈਓਥੈਤੂੰਹੈਰਖਵਾਲਾ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ) ਰਾਖਾ ਹੈਂ।
Here and hereafter, You are our Protector.
ਮਾਤਗਰਭਮਹਿਤੁਮਹੀਪਾਲਾ॥
ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੇਟ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ) ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
In the womb of the mother, You cherish and nurture the baby.
ਮਾਇਆਅਗਨਿਨਪੋਹੈਤਿਨਕਉਰੰਗਿਰਤੇਗੁਣਗਾਵਣਿਆ॥੫॥
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ (ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ) ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ, ਜੇਹੜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੫॥
The fire of Maya does not affect those who are imbued with the Lord's Love; they sing His Glorious Praises. ||5||
ਕਿਆਗੁਣਤੇਰੇਆਖਿਸਮਾਲੀ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੇਹੜੇ ਕੇਹੜੇ ਗੁਣ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਾਂ?
What Praises of Yours can I chant and contemplate?
ਮਨਤਨਅੰਤਰਿਤੁਧੁਨਦਰਿਨਿਹਾਲੀ॥
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਤੇ ਤਨ ਵਿਚ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਵੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ।
Deep within my mind and body, I behold Your Presence.
ਤੂੰਮੇਰਾਮੀਤੁਸਾਜਨੁਮੇਰਾਸੁਆਮੀਤੁਧੁਬਿਨੁਅਵਰੁਨਜਾਨਣਿਆ॥੬॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ। ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੂੰ (ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ) ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ ॥੬॥
You are my Friend and Companion, my Lord and Master. Without You, I do not know any other at all. ||6||
ਜਿਸਕਉਤੂੰਪ੍ਰਭਭਇਆਸਹਾਈ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਰਾਖਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ,
O God, that one, unto whom You have given shelter,
ਤਿਸੁਤਤੀਵਾਉਨਲਗੈਕਾਈ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
is not touched by the hot winds.
ਤੂਸਾਹਿਬੁਸਰਣਿਸੁਖਦਾਤਾਸਤਿਸੰਗਤਿਜਪਿਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵਣਿਆ॥੭॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਹੈਂ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ। ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਤੱਖ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੭॥
O my Lord and Master, You are my Sanctuary, the Giver of peace. Chanting, meditating on You in the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, You are revealed. ||7||
ਤੂੰਊਚਅਥਾਹੁਅਪਾਰੁਅਮੋਲਾ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਚ) ਤੂੰ (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ (ਮਾਨੋ, ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ) ਹੈਂ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਡੂੰਘਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭ ਸਕਦੀ, ਤੇਰੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਦਾ ਪਾਰਲਾ ਬੰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭ ਸਕਦਾ।
You are Exalted, Unfathomable, Infinite and Invaluable.
ਤੂੰਸਾਚਾਸਾਹਿਬੁਦਾਸੁਤੇਰਾਗੋਲਾ॥
ਤੇਰਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈ ਸਕਦਾ (ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਦੇ ਵੱਟੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ)। ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ। ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਹਾਂ, ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਹਾਂ।
You are my True Lord and Master. I am Your servant and slave.
ਤੂੰਮੀਰਾਸਾਚੀਠਕੁਰਾਈਨਾਨਕਬਲਿਬਲਿਜਾਵਣਿਆ॥੮॥੩॥੩੭॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ (ਮੇਰਾ) ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ, ਤੇਰੀ ਸਦਾ ਮਾਲਕੀ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹਾਂ ॥੮॥੩॥੩੭॥
You are the King, Your Sovereign Rule is True. Nanak is a sacrifice, a sacrifice to You. ||8||3||37||
ਮਾਝਮਹਲਾ੫ਘਰੁ੨॥
Maajh, Fifth Mahalaa, Second House:
ਨਿਤਨਿਤਦਯੁਸਮਾਲੀਐ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Continually, continuously, remember the Merciful Lord.
ਮੂਲਿਨਮਨਹੁਵਿਸਾਰੀਐ॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਭੁਲਾਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।ਰਹਾਉ।
Never forget Him from your mind. ||Pause||
ਸੰਤਾਸੰਗਤਿਪਾਈਐ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
Join the Society of the Saints,
ਜਿਤੁਜਮਕੈਪੰਥਿਨਜਾਈਐ॥
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਵਲ ਲੈ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਈਦਾ।
and you shall not have to go down the path of Death.
ਤੋਸਾਹਰਿਕਾਨਾਮੁਲੈਤੇਰੇਕੁਲਹਿਨਲਾਗੈਗਾਲਿਜੀਉ॥੧॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੀਵਨ-ਸਫ਼ਰ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਖ਼ਰਚ (ਆਪਣੇ ਪੱਲੇ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ) ਲੈ, (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਤੇਰੀ ਕੁਲ ਨੂੰ (ਭੀ) ਕੋਈ ਬਦਨਾਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਵੇਗੀ ॥੧॥
Take the Provisions of the Lord's Name with you, and no stain shall attach itself to your family. ||1||
ਜੋਸਿਮਰੰਦੇਸਾਂਈਐ॥
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਖਸਮ-ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ,
Those who meditate on the Master
ਨਰਕਿਨਸੇਈਪਾਈਐ॥
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਰਕ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ।
shall not be thrown down into hell.
ਤਤੀਵਾਉਨਲਗਈਜਿਨਮਨਿਵੁਠਾਆਇਜੀਉ॥੨॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਿੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੨॥
Even the hot winds shall not touch them. The Lord has come to dwell within their minds. ||2||
ਸੇਈਸੁੰਦਰਸੋਹਣੇ॥
ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ (ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ) ਹਨ,
They alone are beautiful and attractive,
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿਜਿਨਬੈਹਣੇ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਹਣ ਖਲੋਣ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ।
who abide in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਹਰਿਧਨੁਜਿਨੀਸੰਜਿਆਸੇਈਗੰਭੀਰਅਪਾਰਜੀਉ॥੩॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਧਨ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ, ਉਹ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਜਿਗਰੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
Those who have gathered in the wealth of the Lord's Name-they alone are deep and thoughtful and vast. ||3||
ਹਰਿਅਮਿਉਰਸਾਇਣੁਪੀਵੀਐ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪੀਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਇਹ ਨਾਮ-ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ) ਸਾਰੇ ਰਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਹੈ।
Drink in the Ambrosial Essence of the Name,
ਮੁਹਿਡਿਠੈਜਨਕੈਜੀਵੀਐ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ,
and live by beholding the face of the Lord's servant.
ਕਾਰਜਸਭਿਸਵਾਰਿਲੈਨਿਤਪੂਜਹੁਗੁਰਕੇਪਾਵਜੀਉ॥੪॥
(ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਭੀ) ਸਦਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਪੂਜ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਰਹੁ, ਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਸਿਰੇ ਚਾੜ੍ਹ ਲੈ ॥੪॥
Let all your affairs be resolved, by continually worshipping the Feet of the Guru. ||4||
ਜੋਹਰਿਕੀਤਾਆਪਣਾ॥
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ (ਸੇਵਕ) ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ,
He alone meditates on the Lord of the World,
ਤਿਨਹਿਗੁਸਾਈਜਾਪਣਾ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ।
whom the Lord has made His Own.
ਸੋਸੂਰਾਪਰਧਾਨੁਸੋਮਸਤਕਿਜਿਸਦੈਭਾਗੁਜੀਉ॥੫॥
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਦਾਤ ਦਾ) ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗ ਪਏ, ਉਹ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਟਾਕਰਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ) ਸੂਰਮਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ (ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫॥
He alone is a warrior, and he alone is the chosen one, upon whose forehead good destiny is recorded. ||5||
ਮਨਮੰਧੇਪ੍ਰਭੁਅਵਗਾਹੀਆ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਚੁੱਭੀ ਲਾਉ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰੋ।
Within my mind, I meditate on God.
ਏਹਿਰਸਭੋਗਣਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀਆ॥
ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੋਗ ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹੀਆਂ।
For me, this is like the enjoyment of princely pleasures.
ਮੰਦਾਮੂਲਿਨਉਪਜਿਓਤਰੇਸਚੀਕਾਰੈਲਾਗਿਜੀਉ॥੬॥
(ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆਾ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਕਦੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਉਹ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਸੱਚੀ ਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗ ਕੇ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੬॥
Evil does not well up within me, since I am saved, and dedicated to truthful actions. ||6||
ਕਰਤਾਮੰਨਿਵਸਾਇਆ॥
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਲਿਆ,
I have enshrined the Creator within my mind;
ਜਨਮੈਕਾਫਲੁਪਾਇਆ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।
I have obtained the fruits of life's rewards.
ਮਨਿਭਾਵੰਦਾਕੰਤੁਹਰਿਤੇਰਾਥਿਰੁਹੋਆਸੋਹਾਗੁਜੀਉ॥੭॥
(ਹੇ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ!) ਜੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੰਤ-ਹਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਸੁਹਾਗ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ (ਤੇਰੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ) ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹੇਗਾ ॥੭॥
If your Husband Lord is pleasing to your mind, then your married life shall be eternal. ||7||
ਅਟਲਪਦਾਰਥੁਪਾਇਆ॥
(ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਧਨ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਇਹ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਧਨ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ,
I have obtained everlasting wealth;
ਭੈਭੰਜਨਕੀਸਰਣਾਇਆ॥
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਆ ਗਏ,
I have found the Sanctuary of the Dispeller of fear.
ਲਾਇਅੰਚਲਿਨਾਨਕਤਾਰਿਅਨੁਜਿਤਾਜਨਮੁਅਪਾਰਜੀਉ॥੮॥੪॥੩੮॥
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੜ ਲਾ ਕੇ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਲਿਆ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦੀ ਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ॥੮॥੪॥੩੮॥
Grasping hold of the hem of the Lord's robe, Nanak is saved. He has won the incomparable life. ||8||4||38||
ੴਸਤਿਗੁਰਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ॥

ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਜਪ ਕੇ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ) ਮਨ ਧੀਰਜਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਸੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਡੋਲਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ) ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Chanting and meditating on the Lord, the mind is held steady. ||1||Pause||
ਸਿਮਰਿਸਿਮਰਿਗੁਰਦੇਉਮਿਟਿਗਏਭੈਦੂਰੇ॥੧॥
ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰ ਸਹਮ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
Meditating, meditating in remembrance on the Divine Guru, one's fears are erased and dispelled. ||1||
ਸਰਨਿਆਵੈਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਕੀਤਾਫਿਰਿਕਾਹੇਝੂਰੇ॥੨॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਝੋਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੋਹ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੨॥
Entering the Sanctuary of the Supreme Lord God, how could anyone feel grief any longer? ||2||
