ਧਰਮੁਕਰਾਏਕਰਮਧੁਰਹੁਫੁਰਮਾਇਆ॥੩॥
(ਇਹ ਭੀ) ਧੁਰੋਂ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਹੀ) ਫ਼ੁਰਮਾਨ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਧਰਮ ਰਾਜ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਮੰਦੇ) ਕੰਮ ਕਰਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
The Primal Lord has ordained that mortals must practice righteousness. ||3||
ਸਲੋਕਮਃ੨॥
Shalok, Second Mahalaa:
ਸਾਵਣੁਆਇਆਹੇਸਖੀਕੰਤੈਚਿਤਿਕਰੇਹੁ॥
ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਸਾਵਣ (ਦਾ ਮਹੀਨਾ) ਆਇਆ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਗੁਰੂ ਵਲੋਂ ਨਾਮ-ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੀ ਵਰਖਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ) ਖਸਮ (-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੋ ਲਉ।
The month of Saawan has come, O my companions; think of your Husband Lord.
ਨਾਨਕਝੂਰਿਮਰਹਿਦੋਹਾਗਣੀਜਿਨੑਅਵਰੀਲਾਗਾਨੇਹੁ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ) ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ) ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮੰਦ-ਭਾਗਣਾਂ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
O Nanak, the discarded bride is in love with another; now she weeps and wails, and dies. ||1||

Second Mahalaa:
ਸਾਵਣੁਆਇਆਹੇਸਖੀਜਲਹਰੁਬਰਸਨਹਾਰੁ॥
ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਸਾਵਣ (ਭਾਵ 'ਨਾਮ' ਦੀ ਵਰਖਾ ਦਾ ਸਮਾ) ਆਇਆ ਹੈ, ਬੱਦਲ ਵਰ੍ਹਾਊ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਗੁਰੂ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ)।
The month of Saawan has come, O my companions; the clouds have burst forth with rain.
ਨਾਨਕਸੁਖਿਸਵਨੁਸੋਹਾਗਣੀਜਿਨੑਸਹਨਾਲਿਪਿਆਰੁ॥੨॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਇਸ ਸੁਹਾਵਣੇ ਸਮੇ) ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ) ਖਸਮ (-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਪਈਆਂ ਸੁਖ ਨਾਲ ਸਉਣ (ਭਾਵ, ਸੁਖੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਿਤੀਤ ਕਰਨ) ॥੨॥
O Nanak, the blessed soul-brides sleep in peace; they are in love with their Husband Lord. ||2||

Pauree:
ਆਪੇਛਿੰਝਪਵਾਇਮਲਾਖਾੜਾਰਚਿਆ॥
(ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਛਿੰਞ ਪਵਾ ਕੇ (ਭਾਵ ਜਗਤ-ਰਚਨਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ) (ਇਹ ਜਗਤ, ਮਾਨੋ) ਭਲਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਘੁਲਣ ਦਾ ਥਾਂ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ;
He Himself has staged the tournament, and arranged the arena for the wrestlers.
ਲਥੇਭੜਥੂਪਾਇਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਮਚਿਆ॥
(ਜੀਵ-ਰੂਪ ਭਲਵਾਨ) ਰੌਲਾ ਪਾ ਕੇ (ਇਥੇ) ਆ ਉਤਰੇ ਹਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਬੇਅੰਤ ਜੀਵ ਦਬਾਦਬ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਜਨਮ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਤੁਰੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ)। (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹਨ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਵਿਚ ਹਨ,
They have entered the arena with pomp and ceremony; the Gurmukhs are joyful.
ਮਨਮੁਖਮਾਰੇਪਛਾੜਿਮੂਰਖਕਚਿਆ॥
(ਪਰ) ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੱਚੇ ਮੂਰਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਟਕਾ ਕੇ (ਭਾਵ ਮੂੰਹ-ਭਾਰ) ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ;
The false and foolish self-willed manmukhs are defeated and overcome.
ਆਪਿਭਿੜੈਮਾਰੇਆਪਿਆਪਿਕਾਰਜੁਰਚਿਆ॥
(ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਲੜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਇਹ ਛਿੰਞ ਦਾ) ਕਾਰਜ ਰਚਿਆ ਹੈ।
The Lord Himself wrestles, and He Himself defeats them. He Himself staged this play.
ਸਭਨਾਖਸਮੁਏਕੁਹੈਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਜਾਣੀਐ॥
ਸਭਨਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ ਸਮਝ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
The One God is the Lord and Master of all; this is known by the Gurmukhs.
ਹੁਕਮੀਲਿਖੈਸਿਰਿਲੇਖੁਵਿਣੁਕਲਮਮਸਵਾਣੀਐ॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਹੁਕਮ-ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੀ (ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ) ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਕਲਮ ਦਵਾਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੀ (ਰਜ਼ਾ ਦਾ) ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
He writes the inscription of His Hukam on the foreheads of all, without pen or ink.
ਸਤਿਸੰਗਤਿਮੇਲਾਪੁਜਿਥੈਹਰਿਗੁਣਸਦਾਵਖਾਣੀਐ॥
(ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ) ਮਿਲਾਪ ਸਤਸੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੇ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਕਥੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
In the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, Union with Him is obtained; there, the Glorious Praises of the Lord are chanted forever.
ਨਾਨਕਸਚਾਸਬਦੁਸਲਾਹਿਸਚੁਪਛਾਣੀਐ॥੪॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ) ਸੱਚਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਾਰ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ) ॥੪॥
O Nanak, praising the True Word of His Shabad, one comes to realize the Truth. ||4||

ਊਂਨਵਿਊਂਨਵਿਆਇਆਅਵਰਿਕਰੇਂਦਾਵੰਨ॥
(ਗੁਰੂ-ਰੂਪ ਬੱਦਲ) ਨਿਉਂ ਨਿਉਂ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ) ਤੇ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਿਖਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਗੁਰੂ ਕਈ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਕਉਤਕ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ);
Hanging low, low and thick in the sky, the clouds are changing color.
ਕਿਆਜਾਣਾਤਿਸੁਸਾਹਸਿਉਕੇਵਰਹਸੀਰੰਗੁ॥
ਪਰ, ਕੀਹ ਪਤਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਉਸ (ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਦੇ) ਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹੇਗਾ।
How do I know whether my love for my Husband Lord shall endure?
ਰੰਗੁਰਹਿਆਤਿਨੑਕਾਮਣੀਜਿਨੑਮਨਿਭਉਭਾਉਹੋਇ॥
(ਉਸ ਮਿਹਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਈਂ ਨਾਲ) ਉਹਨਾਂ (ਜੀਵ-) ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਤੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਹੈ।
The love of those soul-brides endures, if their minds are filled with the Love and the Fear of God.
ਨਾਨਕਭੈਭਾਇਬਾਹਰੀਤਿਨਤਨਿਸੁਖੁਨਹੋਇ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਡਰ ਤੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ॥੧॥
O Nanak, she who has no Love and Fear of God - her body shall never find peace. ||1||

Third Mahalaa:
ਊਂਨਵਿਊਂਨਵਿਆਇਆਵਰਸੈਨੀਰੁਨਿਪੰਗੁ॥
(ਗੁਰੂ-ਬੱਦਲ) ਨਿਉਂ ਨਿਉਂ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਜਲ ਵਰਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ;
Hanging low, low and thick in the sky, the clouds come, and pure water rains down.
ਨਾਨਕਦੁਖੁਲਾਗਾਤਿਨੑਕਾਮਣੀਜਿਨੑਕੰਤੈਸਿਉਮਨਿਭੰਗੁ॥੨॥
ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹਨਾਂ (ਜੀਵ-) ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ (ਫਿਰ ਭੀ) ਦੁੱਖ ਵਿਆਪ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
O Nanak, that soul-bride suffers in pain, whose mind is torn away from her Husband Lord. ||2||
ਪਉੜੀ॥
Pauree:
ਦੋਵੈਤਰਫਾਉਪਾਇਇਕੁਵਰਤਿਆ॥
('ਗੁਰਮੁਖ' ਤੇ 'ਮਨਮੁਖ') ਦੋਹਾਂ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਦੋਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ,
The One Lord created both sides and pervades the expanse.
ਬੇਦਬਾਣੀਵਰਤਾਇਅੰਦਰਿਵਾਦੁਘਤਿਆ॥
ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ (=ਬੇਦ ਬਾਣੀ) ਭੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ 'ਗੁਰਮੁਖ' ਤੇ 'ਮਨਮੁਖ' ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ 'ਵਿਚਾਰ' ਵਖੋ-ਵੱਖਰੇ ਪਾ ਕੇ, ਦੋਹਾਂ ਧਿਰਾਂ ਦੇ) ਅੰਦਰ ਝਗੜਾ ਭੀ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
The words of the Vedas became pervasive, with arguments and divisions.
ਪਰਵਿਰਤਿਨਿਰਵਿਰਤਿਹਾਠਾਦੋਵੈਵਿਚਿਧਰਮੁਫਿਰੈਰੈਬਾਰਿਆ॥
ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਧੰਧਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਖਚਿਤ ਹੋਣਾ ਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿਣਾ-ਇਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਪਾਸੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ 'ਧਰਮ' (-ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਵਿਚੋਲਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ;
Attachment and detachment are the two sides of it; Dharma, true religion, is the guide between the two.
ਮਨਮੁਖਕਚੇਕੂੜਿਆਰਤਿਨੑੀਨਿਹਚਉਦਰਗਹਹਾਰਿਆ॥
ਪਰ, ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਕੂੜ ਦੇ ਵਪਾਰੀ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਹਾਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
The self-willed manmukhs are worthless and false. Without a doubt, they lose in the Court of the Lord.
ਗੁਰਮਤੀਸਬਦਿਸੂਰਹੈਕਾਮੁਕ੍ਰੋਧੁਜਿਨੑੀਮਾਰਿਆ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮੱਤ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਿਆ ਉਹ ਗੁਰ-ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਾਮ ਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਿਆ;
Those who follow the Guru's Teachings are the true spiritual warriors; they have conquered sexual desire and anger.
ਸਚੈਅੰਦਰਿਮਹਲਿਸਬਦਿਸਵਾਰਿਆ॥
ਉਹ ਗੁਰ-ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਰਖ਼ਰੂ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
They enter into the True Mansion of the Lord's Presence, embellished and exalted by the Word of the Shabad.
ਸੇਭਗਤਤੁਧੁਭਾਵਦੇਸਚੈਨਾਇਪਿਆਰਿਆ॥
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those devotees are pleasing to Your Will, O Lord; they dearly love the True Name.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁਸੇਵਨਿਆਪਣਾਤਿਨੑਾਵਿਟਹੁਹਉਵਾਰਿਆ॥੫॥
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਸੇਂਵਦੇ ਹਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਕਹੇ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਹਨ), ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ ॥੫॥
I am a sacrifice to those who serve their True Guru. ||5||

ਨਾਨਕਭਾਣੈਚਲੈਕੰਤਕੈਸੁਮਾਣੇਸਦਾਰਲੀ॥੧॥
ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਇਸ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ) ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਖਸਮ (-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ (ਉਸ 'ਉਪਦੇਸ਼'-ਵਰਖਾ ਦਾ) ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
O Nanak, she walks in harmony with the Will of her Husband Lord; she enjoys peace and pleasure forever. ||1||

Third Mahalaa:
ਕਿਆਉਠਿਉਠਿਦੇਖਹੁਬਪੁੜੇਂਇਸੁਮੇਘੈਹਥਿਕਿਛੁਨਾਹਿ॥
ਹੇ ਵਿਚਾਰੇ ਬੰਦਿਓ! ਇਸ ਬੱਦਲ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਠ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਕੀਹ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹਉ, ਇਸ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਸ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ (ਕਿ ਇਹ ਵਰਖਾ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ)।
Why are you standing up, standing up to look? You poor wretch, this cloud has nothing in its hands.
ਜਿਨਿਏਹੁਮੇਘੁਪਠਾਇਆਤਿਸੁਰਾਖਹੁਮਨਮਾਂਹਿ॥
ਜਿਸ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਬੱਦਲ ਘੱਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰੋ।
The One who sent this cloud - cherish Him in your mind.
ਤਿਸਨੋਮੰਨਿਵਸਾਇਸੀਜਾਕਉਨਦਰਿਕਰੇਇ॥
(ਪਰ ਇਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ) ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ ਉਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪ) ਵਸਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
He alone enshrines the Lord in his mind, upon whom the Lord bestows His Glance of Grace.
ਨਾਨਕਨਦਰੀਬਾਹਰੀਸਭਕਰਣਪਲਾਹਕਰੇਇ॥੨॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਤਰਲੈ ਲੈ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
O Nanak, all those who lack this Grace, cry and weep and wail. ||2||

ਸੋਹਰਿਸਦਾਸਰੇਵੀਐਜਿਸੁਕਰਤਨਲਾਗੈਵਾਰ॥
ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਮਰੀਏ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ (ਜਗਤ) ਬਣਾਦਿਆਂ ਚਿਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ;
Serve the Lord forever; He acts in no time at all.
ਆਡਾਣੇਆਕਾਸਕਰਿਖਿਨਮਹਿਢਾਹਿਉਸਾਰਣਹਾਰ॥
ਇਹ ਤਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਇਕ ਪਲਕ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਮੁੜ) ਬਣਾਣ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੈ।
He stretched the sky across the heavens; in an instant, He creates and destroys.
ਆਪੇਜਗਤੁਉਪਾਇਕੈਕੁਦਰਤਿਕਰੇਵੀਚਾਰ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਰਚਨਾ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
He Himself created the world; He contemplates His Creative Omnipotence.
ਮਨਮੁਖਅਗੈਲੇਖਾਮੰਗੀਐਬਹੁਤੀਹੋਵੈਮਾਰ॥
ਪਰ, ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਐਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਕੇ) ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਵਿਰਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਅਗਾਂਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਲੇਖਾ ਮੰਗਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
The self-willed manmukh will be called to account hereafter; he will be severely punished.
