ਪੂਛਉਪੂਛਉਦੀਨਭਾਂਤਿਕਰਿਕੋਊਕਹੈਪ੍ਰਿਅਦੇਸਾਂਗਿਓ॥
(ਹੇ ਮਾਂ!) ਨਿਮਾਣਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਮੈਂ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਪੁੱਛਦੀ ਫਿਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ, ਭਲਾ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦਾ ਦੇਸ ਦੱਸ ਦੇਵੇ।
I ask and ask, with humility, "Who can tell me which country my Husband Lord lives in?"
ਹੀਂਓੁਦੇਂਉਸਭੁਮਨੁਤਨੁਅਰਪਉਸੀਸੁਚਰਣਪਰਿਰਾਖਿਓ॥੨॥
(ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦਾ ਦੇਸ ਦੱਸਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ) ਚਰਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ (ਆਪਣਾ) ਸਿਰ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ, ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਨ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਭੇਟਾ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਾਂ ॥੨॥
I would dedicate my heart to him, I offer my mind and body and everything; I place my head at his feet. ||2||
ਚਰਣਬੰਦਨਾਅਮੋਲਦਾਸਰੋਦੇਂਉਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿਅਰਦਾਗਿਓ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੈਂ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਦਾ ਦੰਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੀ ਇਕ ਨਿਮਾਣਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਦਾਸ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ-
I bow at the feet of the voluntary slave of the Lord; I beg him to bless me with the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਕਰਹੁਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਮੋਹਿਪ੍ਰਭੂਮਿਲਾਵਹੁਨਿਮਖਦਰਸੁਪੇਖਾਗਿਓ॥੩॥
(ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ) ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰੋ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਿਲਾ ਦੇਉ, ਮੈਂ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਅੱਖ ਝਮਕਣ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਸਮੇ ਲਈ ਹੀ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਲਵਾਂ ॥੩॥
Show Mercy to me, that I may meet God, and gaze upon the Blessed Vision of His Darshan every moment. ||3||
ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿਭਈਤਬਭੀਤਰਿਆਇਓਮੇਰਾਮਨੁਅਨਦਿਨੁਸੀਤਲਾਗਿਓ॥
(ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ) ਨਿਗਾਹ (ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ) ਹੋਈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਿਆ। ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਠੰਢਾ-ਠਾਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
When He is Kind to me, He comes to dwell within my being. Night and day, my mind is calm and peaceful.
ਕਹੁਨਾਨਕਰਸਿਮੰਗਲਗਾਏਸਬਦੁਅਨਾਹਦੁਬਾਜਿਓ॥੪॥੫॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਸੁਆਦ ਨਾਲ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਆਪਣਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਪਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੫॥
Says Nanak, I sing the Songs of Joy; the Unstruck Word of the Shabad resounds within me. ||4||5||

Saarang, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਮਾਈਸਤਿਸਤਿਸਤਿਹਰਿਸਤਿਸਤਿਸਤਿਸਾਧਾ॥
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਭੀ ਅਟੱਲ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ-
O mother, True, True, True is the Lord, and True, True, True is His Holy Saint.
ਬਚਨੁਗੁਰੂਜੋਪੂਰੈਕਹਿਓਮੈਛੀਕਿਗਾਂਠਰੀਬਾਧਾ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਇਹ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬਚਨ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਘੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੱਲੇ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
The Word which the Perfect Guru has spoken, I have tied to my robe. ||1||Pause||
ਨਿਸਿਬਾਸੁਰਨਖਿਅਤ੍ਰਬਿਨਾਸੀਰਵਿਸਸੀਅਰਬੇਨਾਧਾ॥
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਰਾਤ, ਦਿਨ, ਤਾਰੇ, ਸੂਰਜ, ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ-ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਹਨ।
Night and day, and the stars in the sky shall vanish. The sun and the moon shall vanish.
ਗਿਰਿਬਸੁਧਾਜਲਪਵਨਜਾਇਗੋਇਕਿਸਾਧਬਚਨਅਟਲਾਧਾ॥੧॥
ਪਹਾੜ, ਧਰਤੀ, ਪਾਣੀ, ਹਵਾ-ਹਰੇਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗੀ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਹੀ ਕਦੇ ਟਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ ॥੧॥
The mountains, the earth, the water and the air shall pass away. Only the Word of the Holy Saint shall endure. ||1||
ਅੰਡਬਿਨਾਸੀਜੇਰਬਿਨਾਸੀਉਤਭੁਜਸੇਤਬਿਨਾਧਾ॥
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਅੰਡਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ, ਜਿਓਰ ਤੋਂ, ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ, ਮੁੜ੍ਹਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਭ ਜੀਵ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਹਨ।
Those born of eggs shall pass away, and those born of the womb shall pass away. Those born of the earth and sweat shall pass away as well.
ਚਾਰਿਬਿਨਾਸੀਖਟਹਿਬਿਨਾਸੀਇਕਿਸਾਧਬਚਨਨਿਹਚਲਾਧਾ॥੨॥
ਚਾਰ ਵੇਦ, ਛੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰ-ਇਹ ਭੀ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਹਨ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ। ਧਰਮ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਤਾਂ ਕਈ ਬਣੇ ਤੇ ਕਈ ਮਿਟੇ, ਪਰ ਸਾਧ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ, ਭਾਵ, ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਪੱਧਤੀ ਸਦਾ ਅਟੱਲ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
The four Vedas shall pass away, and the six Shaastras shall pass away. Only the Word of the Holy Saint is eternal. ||2||
ਰਾਜਬਿਨਾਸੀਤਾਮਬਿਨਾਸੀਸਾਤਕੁਭੀਬੇਨਾਧਾ॥
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਗੁਣ) ਰਾਜਸ ਤਾਮਸ ਸਾਤਕ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਹਨ।
Raajas, the quality of energetic activity shall pass away. Taamas, the quality of lethargic darkness shall pass away. Saatvas, the quality of peaceful light shall pass away as well.
ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿਮਾਨਹੈਸਗਲਬਿਨਾਸੀਇਕਿਸਾਧਬਚਨਆਗਾਧਾ॥੩॥
ਜੋ ਕੁਝ (ਇਹ ਜਗਤ) ਦਿੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਸਾਰਾ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਹੈ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਹੀ ਐਸੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਅਟੱਲ ਹਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਜੋ ਮਰਯਾਦਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀ ਬਦਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ) ॥੩॥
All that is seen shall pass away. Only the Word of the Holy Saint is beyond destruction. ||3||
ਆਪੇਆਪਿਆਪਹੀਆਪੇਸਭੁਆਪਨਖੇਲੁਦਿਖਾਧਾ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਆਪਣੇ ਵਰਗਾ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਜਗਤ-ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ,
He Himself is Himself by Himself. All that is seen is His play.
ਪਾਇਓਨਜਾਈਕਹੀਭਾਂਤਿਰੇਪ੍ਰਭੁਨਾਨਕਗੁਰਮਿਲਿਲਾਧਾ॥੪॥੬॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ (ਹੀ) ਲੱਭ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੬॥
He cannot be found by any means. O Nanak, meeting with the Guru, God is found. ||4||6||
ਸਾਰਗਮਹਲਾ੫॥
Saarang, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਮੇਰੈਮਨਿਬਾਸਿਬੋਗੁਰਗੋਬਿੰਦ॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
The Guru, the Lord of the Universe, dwells within my mind.
ਜਹਾਂਸਿਮਰਨੁਭਇਓਹੈਠਾਕੁਰਤਹਾਂਨਗਰਸੁਖਆਨੰਦ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
(ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਉਂ ਸਮਝ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਜਿੱਥੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ (ਹਿਰਦੇ-) ਨਗਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Wherever my Lord and Master is remembered in meditation - that village is filled with peace and bliss. ||1||Pause||
ਜਹਾਂਬੀਸਰੈਠਾਕੁਰੁਪਿਆਰੋਤਹਾਂਦੂਖਸਭਆਪਦ॥
ਜਿਸ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਦੀ ਯਾਦ) ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਥੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਆਈਆਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Wherever my Beloved Lord and Master is forgotten - all misery and misfortune is there.
ਜਹਗੁਨਗਾਇਆਨੰਦਮੰਗਲਰੂਪਤਹਾਂਸਦਾਸੁਖਸੰਪਦ॥੧॥
ਜਿੱਥੇ (ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਆਨੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਰਿ-ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਬਣੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
Where the Praises of my Lord, the Embodiment of Bliss and Joy are sung - eternal peace and wealth are there. ||1||
ਜਹਾਸ੍ਰਵਨਹਰਿਕਥਾਨਸੁਨੀਐਤਹਮਹਾਭਇਆਨਉਦਿਆਨਦ॥
ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ, ਉਸ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਭਾਰਾ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਜੰਗਲ ਬਣਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ;
Wherever they do not listen to the Stories of the Lord with their ears - the utterly desolate wilderness is there.
ਜਹਾਂਕੀਰਤਨੁਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿਰਸੁਤਹਸਘਨਬਾਸਫਲਾਂਨਦ॥੨॥
ਤੇ, ਜਿਥੇ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਾਲਾ ਰੰਗ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉੱਥੇ (ਮਾਨੋ, ਐਸਾ ਬਾਗ਼ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ) ਸੰਘਣੀ ਸੁਗੰਧੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਫਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
Where the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises are sung with love in the Saadh Sangat - there is fragrance and fruit and joy in abundance. ||2||
ਬਿਨੁਸਿਮਰਨਕੋਟਿਬਰਖਜੀਵੈਸਗਲੀਅਉਧਬ੍ਰਿਥਾਨਦ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਭੀ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ ਰਹੇ, (ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Without meditative remembrance on the Lord, one may live for millions of years, but his life would be totally useless.
ਏਕਨਿਮਖਗੋਬਿੰਦਭਜਨੁਕਰਿਤਉਸਦਾਸਦਾਜੀਵਾਨਦ॥੩॥
ਪਰ ਜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਅੱਖ ਝਮਕਣ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਸਮੇ ਲਈ ਭੀ ਕਰੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
But if he vibrates and meditates on the Lord of the Universe, for even a moment, then he shall live forever and ever. ||3||
ਸਰਨਿਸਰਨਿਸਰਨਿਪ੍ਰਭਪਾਵਉਦੀਜੈਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿਕਿਰਪਾਨਦ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ (ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ) ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ (ਤਾ ਕਿ) ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੀ ਰੱਖਾਂ।
O God, I seek Your Sanctuary, Your Sanctuary, Your Sanctuary; please mercifully bless me with the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਨਾਨਕਪੂਰਿਰਹਿਓਹੈਸਰਬਮੈਸਗਲਗੁਣਾਬਿਧਿਜਾਂਨਦ॥੪॥੭॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ (ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਪਣੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਢੰਗ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੭॥
O Nanak, the Lord is All-pervading everywhere, amongst all. He knows the qualities and the condition of all. ||4||7||
ਸਾਰਗਮਹਲਾ੫॥
Saarang, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਅਬਮੋਹਿਰਾਮਭਰੋਸਉਪਾਏ॥
(ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ) ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਬਾਬਤ ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ,
Now, I have obtained the Support of the Lord.
ਜੋਜੋਸਰਣਿਪਰਿਓਕਰੁਣਾਨਿਧਿਤੇਤੇਭਵਹਿਤਰਾਏ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਤਰਸ-ਦੇ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Those who seek the Sanctuary of the Ocean of Mercy are carried across the world-ocean. ||1||Pause||
ਸੁਖਿਸੋਇਓਅਰੁਸਹਜਿਸਮਾਇਓਸਹਸਾਗੁਰਹਿਗਵਾਏ॥
(ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ) ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
They sleep in peace, and intuitively merge into the Lord. The Guru takes away their cynicism and doubt.
ਜੋਚਾਹਤਸੋਈਹਰਿਕੀਓਮਨਬਾਂਛਤਫਲਪਾਏ॥੧॥
ਉਹ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਉਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਉਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਨ-ਮੰਗੀਆਂ ਮੁਰਾਦਾਂ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
Whatever they wish for, the Lord does; they obtain the fruits of their minds' desires. ||1||
ਹਿਰਦੈਜਪਉਨੇਤ੍ਰਧਿਆਨੁਲਾਵਉਸ੍ਰਵਨੀਕਥਾਸੁਨਾਏ॥
(ਜਦੋਂ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਹਾਂ, ਤਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੁਣ) ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ) ਜਪਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
In my heart, I meditate on Him; with my eyes, I focus my meditation on Him. With my ears, I listen to His Sermon.
