ਇਨਬਿਧਿਇਹੁਮਨੁਹਰਿਆਹੋਇ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ (ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ) ਇਹ ਮਨ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
In this way, this mind is rejuvenated.
ਹਰਿਹਰਿਨਾਮੁਜਪੈਦਿਨੁਰਾਤੀਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਹਉਮੈਕਢੈਧੋਇ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਹਉਮੈ ਧੋ ਕੇ ਕੱਢ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, day and night, egotism is removed and washed away from the Gurmukhs. ||1||Pause||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਬਾਣੀਸਬਦੁਸੁਣਾਏ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਇਹ ਜਗਤ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ,
The True Guru speaks the Bani of the Word, and the Shabad, the Word of God.
ਇਹੁਜਗੁਹਰਿਆਸਤਿਗੁਰਭਾਏ॥੨॥
ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਮਗਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ ਇਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਾ-ਭਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
This world blossoms forth in its greenery, through the love of the True Guru. ||2||
ਫਲਫੂਲਲਾਗੇਜਾਂਆਪੇਲਾਏ॥
(ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਸ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ) ਫੁੱਲ ਫਲ (ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ) ਲੱਗਦੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਲਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The mortal blossoms forth in flower and fruit, when the Lord Himself so wills.
ਮੂਲਿਲਗੈਤਾਂਸਤਿਗੁਰੁਪਾਏ॥੩॥
(ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
He is attached to the Lord, the Primal Root of all, when he finds the True Guru. ||3||
ਆਪਿਬਸੰਤੁਜਗਤੁਸਭੁਵਾੜੀ॥
ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ) ਬਗੀਚੀ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ-ਭਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ) ਬਸੰਤ ਭੀ ਉਹ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੈ।
The Lord Himself is the season of spring; the whole world is His Garden.
ਨਾਨਕਪੂਰੈਭਾਗਿਭਗਤਿਨਿਰਾਲੀ॥੪॥੫॥੧੭॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਤੋਂ) ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਹਰਿ-ਭਗਤੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ (ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ) ॥੪॥੫॥੧੭॥
O Nanak, this most unique devotional worship comes only by perfect destiny. ||4||5||17||

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਗੁਰਕੀਬਾਣੀਵਿਟਹੁਵਾਰਿਆਭਾਈਗੁਰਸਬਦਵਿਟਹੁਬਲਿਜਾਈ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
I am a sacrifice to the Word of the Guru's Bani, O Siblings of Destiny. I am devoted and dedicated to the Word of the Guru's Shabad.
ਗੁਰੁਸਾਲਾਹੀਸਦਅਪਣਾਭਾਈਗੁਰਚਰਣੀਚਿਤੁਲਾਈ॥੧॥
ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਲਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥
I praise my Guru forever, O Siblings of Destiny. I focus my consciousness on the Guru's Feet. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇਮਨਰਾਮਨਾਮਿਚਿਤੁਲਾਇ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜ।
O my mind, focus your consciousness on the Lord's Name.
ਮਨੁਤਨੁਤੇਰਾਹਰਿਆਹੋਵੈਇਕੁਹਰਿਨਾਮਾਫਲੁਪਾਇ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਖਿੜ ਪਏਗਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਤਨ ਖਿੜ ਪਏਗਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Your mind and body shall blossom forth in lush greenery, and you shall obtain the fruit of the Name of the One Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰਿਰਾਖੇਸੇਉਬਰੇਭਾਈਹਰਿਰਸੁਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁਪੀਆਇ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਉਹ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਪੰਜੇ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚ ਗਏ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਪਿਲਾ ਕੇ (ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ)।
Those who are protected by the Guru are saved, O Siblings of Destiny. They drink in the Ambrosial Nectar of the Lord's sublime essence.
ਵਿਚਹੁਹਉਮੈਦੁਖੁਉਠਿਗਇਆਭਾਈਸੁਖੁਵੁਠਾਮਨਿਆਇ॥੨॥
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਹਉਮੈ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਆ ਵੱਸਿਆ ॥੨॥
The pain of egotism within is eradicated and banished, O Siblings of Destiny, and peace comes to dwell in their minds. ||2||
ਧੁਰਿਆਪੇਜਿਨੑਾਨੋਬਖਸਿਓਨੁਭਾਈਸਬਦੇਲਇਅਨੁਮਿਲਾਇ॥
ਧੁਰ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ) ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Those whom the Primal Lord Himself forgives, O Siblings of Destiny, are united with the Word of the Shabad.
ਧੂੜਿਤਿਨੑਾਕੀਅਘੁਲੀਐਭਾਈਸਤਿਸੰਗਤਿਮੇਲਿਮਿਲਾਇ॥੩॥
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨ-ਧੂੜ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ (ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ) ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਲ ਕੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
The dust of their feet brings emancipation; in the company of Sadh Sangat, the True Congregation, we are united with the Lord. ||3||
ਆਪਿਕਰਾਏਕਰੇਆਪਿਭਾਈਜਿਨਿਹਰਿਆਕੀਆਸਭੁਕੋਇ॥
ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੰਦ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ) ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ) ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
He Himself does, and causes all to be done, O Siblings of Destiny; He makes everything blossom forth in green abundance.
ਨਾਨਕਮਨਿਤਨਿਸੁਖੁਸਦਵਸੈਭਾਈਸਬਦਿਮਿਲਾਵਾਹੋਇ॥੪॥੧॥੧੮॥੧੨॥੧੮॥੩੦॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਤਨ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੮॥੧੨॥੧੮॥੩੦॥
O Nanak, peace fills their minds and bodies forever, O Siblings of Destiny; they are united with the Shabad. ||4||1||18||12||18||30||
ਰਾਗੁਬਸੰਤੁਮਹਲਾ੪ਘਰੁ੧ਇਕਤੁਕੇ॥
ਰਾਗ ਬਸੰਤੁ, ਘਰ ੧ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਇਕ-ਤੁਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ।

ੴਸਤਿਗੁਰਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ॥
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਜਿਉਪਸਰੀਸੂਰਜਕਿਰਣਿਜੋਤਿ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ! ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਣ ਦਾ ਚਾਨਣ (ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਖਿਲਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ,
Just as the light of the sun's rays spread out,
ਤਿਉਘਟਿਘਟਿਰਮਈਆਓਤਿਪੋਤਿ॥੧॥
ਤਿਵੇਂ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਰਾਮ ਤਾਣੇ ਪੇਟੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
the Lord permeates each and every heart, through and through. ||1||
ਏਕੋਹਰਿਰਵਿਆਸ੍ਰਬਥਾਇ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ! (ਭਾਵੇਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼) ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ,
The One Lord is permeating and pervading all places.
ਗੁਰਸਬਦੀਮਿਲੀਐਮੇਰੀਮਾਇ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
(ਫਿਰ ਭੀ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਮਿਲਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, we merge with Him, O my mother. ||1||Pause||
ਘਟਿਘਟਿਅੰਤਰਿਏਕੋਹਰਿਸੋਇ॥
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਉਹ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ।
The One Lord is deep within each and every heart.
ਗੁਰਿਮਿਲਿਐਇਕੁਪ੍ਰਗਟੁਹੋਇ॥੨॥
ਜੇ (ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ) ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਪਰਤੱਖ ਦਿੱਸ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
Meeting with the Guru, the One Lord becomes manifest, radiating forth. ||2||
ਏਕੋਏਕੁਰਹਿਆਭਰਪੂਰਿ॥
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਜ਼ੱਰੇ ਜ਼ੱਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
The One and Only Lord is present and prevailing everywhere.
ਸਾਕਤਨਰਲੋਭੀਜਾਣਹਿਦੂਰਿ॥੩॥
ਪਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਟੁੱਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਿਤੇ ਦੂਰ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
The greedy, faithless cynic thinks that God is far away. ||3||
ਏਕੋਏਕੁਵਰਤੈਹਰਿਲੋਇ॥
ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਵਰਤ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
The One and Only Lord permeates and pervades the world.
ਨਾਨਕਹਰਿਏਕੋੁਕਰੇਸੁਹੋਇ॥੪॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧॥
O Nanak, whatever the One Lord does comes to pass. ||4||1||
ਬਸੰਤੁਮਹਲਾ੪॥
Basant, Fourth Mahalaa:
ਰੈਣਿਦਿਨਸੁਦੁਇਸਦੇਪਏ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਰਾਤ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਨ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ (ਕਿ ਉਮਰ ਬੀਤ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਮੌਤ ਨੇੜੇ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ)।
Day and night, the two calls are sent out.
ਮਨਹਰਿਸਿਮਰਹੁਅੰਤਿਸਦਾਰਖਿਲਏ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰ, ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਅੰਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਦਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
O mortal, meditate in remembrance on the Lord, who protects you forever, and saves you in the end. ||1||
ਹਰਿਹਰਿਚੇਤਿਸਦਾਮਨਮੇਰੇ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮੱਤ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ਕਰ।
Concentrate forever on the Lord, Har, Har, O my mind.
ਸਭੁਆਲਸੁਦੂਖਭੰਜਿਪ੍ਰਭੁਪਾਇਆਗੁਰਮਤਿਗਾਵਹੁਗੁਣਪ੍ਰਭਕੇਰੇ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਉੱਦਮ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਸਾਰਾ ਆਲਸ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
God the Destroyer of all depression and suffering is found, through the Guru's Teachings, singing the Glorious Praises of God. ||1||Pause||
ਮਨਮੁਖਫਿਰਿਫਿਰਿਹਉਮੈਮੁਏ॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਸਹੇੜਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
The self-willed manmukhs die of their egotism, over and over again.
