ਕਹੁਨਾਨਕਸੇਈਜਨਊਤਮਜੋਭਾਵਹਿਸੁਆਮੀਤੁਮਮਨਾ॥੧੬॥੧॥੮॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੬॥੧॥੮॥
Says Nanak, those humble beings are exalted, who are pleasing to Your Mind, O my Lord and Master. ||16||1||8||
ਮਾਰੂਮਹਲਾ੫॥
Maaroo, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਪ੍ਰਭਸਮਰਥਸਰਬਸੁਖਦਾਨਾ॥
ਹੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ!
God is the almighty Giver of all peace and joy.
ਸਿਮਰਉਨਾਮੁਹੋਹੁਮਿਹਰਵਾਨਾ॥
(ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ) ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨ ਹੋ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ।
Be merciful to me, that I may meditate in remembrance on Your Name.
ਹਰਿਦਾਤਾਜੀਅਜੰਤਭੇਖਾਰੀਜਨੁਬਾਂਛੈਜਾਚੰਗਨਾ॥੧॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਦੇ) ਮੰਗਤੇ ਹਨ। (ਨਾਨਕ ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਦਾਸ ਮੰਗਤਾ ਬਣ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ) ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
The Lord is the Great Giver; all beings and creatures are beggars; His humble servants yearn to beg from Him. ||1||
ਮਾਗਉਜਨਧੂਰਿਪਰਮਗਤਿਪਾਵਉ॥
(ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਮੈਂ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨ-ਧੂੜ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਸਕਾਂ,
I beg for the dust of the feet of the humble, that I may be blessed with the supreme status,
ਜਨਮਜਨਮਕੀਮੈਲੁਮਿਟਾਵਉ॥
ਅਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੀ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ) ਮੈਲ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਸਕਾਂ।
and the filth of countless lifetimes may be erased.
ਦੀਰਘਰੋਗਮਿਟਹਿਹਰਿਅਉਖਧਿਹਰਿਨਿਰਮਲਿਰਾਪੈਮੰਗਨਾ॥੨॥
ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਵਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਡੇ-ਵੱਡੇ ਰੋਗ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮੈਂ ਭੀ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ (ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ) ਰੰਗਿਆ ਰਹੇ ॥੨॥
The chronic diseases are cured by the medicine of the Lord's Name; I beg to be imbued with the Immaculate Lord. ||2||
ਸ੍ਰਵਣੀਸੁਣਉਬਿਮਲਜਸੁਸੁਆਮੀ॥
ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! (ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ) ਮੈਂ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਜਸ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ।
With my ears, I listen to the Pure Praises of my Lord and Master.
ਏਕਾਓਟਤਜਉਬਿਖੁਕਾਮੀ॥
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ, (ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ) ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਕਾਮ-ਵਾਸਨਾ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿਆਂ,
With the Support of the One Lord, I have abandoned corruption, sexuality and desire.
ਨਿਵਿਨਿਵਿਪਾਇਲਗਉਦਾਸਤੇਰੇਕਰਿਸੁਕ੍ਰਿਤੁਨਾਹੀਸੰਗਨਾ॥੩॥
ਮੈਂ ਨਿਊਂ ਨਿਊਂ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ। ਇਹ ਨੇਕ ਕਮਾਈ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਝਾਕਾ ਨਾਹ ਲੱਗੇ ॥੩॥
I humbly bow and fall at the feet of Your slaves; I do not hesitate to do good deeds. ||3||
ਰਸਨਾਗੁਣਗਾਵੈਹਰਿਤੇਰੇ॥
ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! (ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ) ਮੇਰੀ ਜੀਭ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੀ ਰਹੇ,
O Lord, with my tongue I sing Your Glorious Praises.
ਮਿਟਹਿਕਮਾਤੇਅਵਗਣਮੇਰੇ॥
ਤੇ, ਮੇਰੇ (ਪਿਛਲੇ) ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਔਗੁਣ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਣ।
The sins which I have committed are erased.
ਸਿਮਰਿਸਿਮਰਿਸੁਆਮੀਮਨੁਜੀਵੈਪੰਚਦੂਤਤਜਿਤੰਗਨਾ॥੪॥
(ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ) ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ (ਤੇ, ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਦੁਖੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ ਪੰਜ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਏ ॥੪॥
Meditating, meditating in remembrance on my Lord and Master, my mind lives; I am rid of the five oppressive demons. ||4||
ਚਰਨਕਮਲਜਪਿਬੋਹਿਥਿਚਰੀਐ॥
(ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਣ ਲਈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ) ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰ ਕੇ (ਨਾਮ-) ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਵਿਚ ਚੜ੍ਹਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ,
Meditating on Your lotus feet, I have come aboard Your boat.
ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿਮਿਲਿਸਾਗਰੁਤਰੀਐ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-) ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
Joining the Society of the Saints, I cross over the world-ocean.
ਅਰਚਾਬੰਦਨਹਰਿਸਮਤਨਿਵਾਸੀਬਾਹੁੜਿਜੋਨਿਨਨੰਗਨਾ॥੫॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ-ਸਮਾਨ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਜਾਣ ਲੈਣਾ-ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਰਚਾ-ਪੂਜਾ, ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੰਦਨਾ। (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਖ਼ੁਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈਦਾ ॥੫॥
My flower-offering and worship is to realize that the Lord is dwelling alike in all; I shall not be reincarnated naked again. ||5||
ਦਾਸਦਾਸਨਕੋਕਰਿਲੇਹੁਗੋੁਪਾਲਾ॥
ਹੇ ਗੋਪਾਲ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਾਸ ਬਣਾ ਲੈ।
Please make me the slave of Your slaves, O Lord of the world.
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਿਧਾਨਦੀਨਦਇਆਲਾ॥
ਹੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ! ਹੇ ਦੀਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ!
You are the treasure of Grace, merciful to the meek.
ਸਖਾਸਹਾਈਪੂਰਨਪਰਮੇਸੁਰਮਿਲੁਕਦੇਨਹੋਵੀਭੰਗਨਾ॥੬॥
ਹੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਹੈਂ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ, ਤੈਥੋਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਦੇ ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ਨਾਹ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੬॥
Meet with your companion and helper, the Perfect Transcendent Lord God; you shall never be separated from Him again. ||6||
ਮਨੁਤਨੁਅਰਪਿਧਰੀਹਰਿਆਗੈ॥
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਭੇਟਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
I dedicate my mind and body, and place them in offering before the Lord.
ਜਨਮਜਨਮਕਾਸੋਇਆਜਾਗੈ॥
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ (ਭੀ) ਜਾਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ)।
Asleep for countless lifetimes, I have awakened.
ਜਿਸਕਾਸਾਸੋਈਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਕੁਹਤਿਤਿਆਗੀਹਉਮੈਹੰਤਨਾ॥੭॥
ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਉਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਗ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੭॥
He, to whom I belong, is my cherisher and nurturer. I have killed and discarded my murderous self-conceit. ||7||
ਜਲਿਥਲਿਪੂਰਨਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ॥
ਸਭ ਦੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਲ ਵਿਚ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਸਭ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ,
The Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts, is pervading the water and the land.
ਘਟਿਘਟਿਰਵਿਆਅਛਲਸੁਆਮੀ॥
ਮਾਇਆ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਨਾਹ ਛਲਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਰੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ
The undeceivable Lord and Master is permeating each and every heart.
ਭਰਮਭੀਤਿਖੋਈਗੁਰਿਪੂਰੈਏਕੁਰਵਿਆਸਰਬੰਗਨਾ॥੮॥
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ਪਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ) ਭਟਕਣਾ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਦਿੱਸ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੮॥
The Perfect Guru has demolished the wall of doubt, and now I see the One Lord pervading everywhere. ||8||
ਜਤਕਤਪੇਖਉਪ੍ਰਭਸੁਖਸਾਗਰ॥
ਮੈਂ ਜਿਸ ਭੀ ਪਾਸੇ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ (ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ)।
Wherever I look, there I see God, the ocean of peace.
ਹਰਿਤੋਟਿਭੰਡਾਰਨਾਹੀਰਤਨਾਗਰ॥
ਰਤਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਖਾਣ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਦੇ ਕਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ।
The Lord's treasure is never exhausted; He is the storehouse of jewels.
ਅਗਹਅਗਾਹਕਿਛੁਮਿਤਿਨਹੀਪਾਈਐਸੋਬੂਝੈਜਿਸੁਕਿਰਪੰਗਨਾ॥੯॥
ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੱਦ-ਬੰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭ ਸਕਦਾ ਜੋ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਜਕੜ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਹਾਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਈ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ। ਪਰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੯॥
He cannot be seized; He is inaccessible, and His limits cannot be found. He is realized when the Lord bestows His Grace. ||9||
ਛਾਤੀਸੀਤਲਮਨੁਤਨੁਠੰਢਾ॥
ਉਹਨਾਂ (ਵਡ-ਭਾਗੀਆਂ) ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਤਨ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ,
My heart is cooled, and my mind and body are calmed and soothed.
ਜਨਮਮਰਣਕੀਮਿਟਵੀਡੰਝਾ॥
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੜਨ ਮਿਟ ਗਈ ਹੈ,
The craving for birth and death is quenched.
ਕਰੁਗਹਿਕਾਢਿਲੀਏਪ੍ਰਭਿਅਪੁਨੈਅਮਿਓਧਾਰਿਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੰਗਨਾ॥੧੦॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ) ਹੱਥ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੦॥
Grasping hold of my hand, He has lifted me up and out; He has blessed me with His Ambrosial Glance of Grace. ||10||
ਏਕੋਏਕੁਰਵਿਆਸਭਠਾਈ॥
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ) ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
The One and Only Lord is permeating and pervading everywhere.
ਤਿਸੁਬਿਨੁਦੂਜਾਕੋਈਨਾਹੀ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦਿੱਸ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਭਨੀਂ ਥਾਈਂ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਉਸ ਵਰਗਾ) ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ,
There is none other than Him at all.
ਆਦਿਮਧਿਅੰਤਿਪ੍ਰਭੁਰਵਿਆਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਬੁਝੀਭਰਮੰਗਨਾ॥੧੧॥
ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ-ਰਚਨਾ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿਚ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਹੁਣ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ॥੧੧॥
God permeates the beginning, the middle and the end; He has subdued my desires and doubts. ||11||
ਗੁਰੁਪਰਮੇਸਰੁਗੁਰੁਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ (ਦਾ ਰੂਪ) ਹੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ (ਦਾ ਰੂਪ) ਹੈ,
The Guru is the Transcendent Lord, the Guru is the Lord of the Universe.
ਗੁਰੁਕਰਤਾਗੁਰੁਸਦਬਖਸੰਦੁ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾਰ (ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ) ਗੁਰੂ ਸਦਾ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
The Guru is the Creator, the Guru is forever forgiving.
ਗੁਰਜਪੁਜਾਪਿਜਪਤਫਲੁਪਾਇਆਗਿਆਨਦੀਪਕੁਸੰਤਸੰਗਨਾ॥੧੨॥
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਜਪਦਿਆਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਦਾ ਦੀਵਾ ਜਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੨॥
Meditating, chanting the Guru's Chant, I have obtained the fruits and rewards; in the Company of the Saints, I have been blessed with the lamp of spiritual wisdom. ||12||
ਜੋਪੇਖਾਸੋਸਭੁਕਿਛੁਸੁਆਮੀ॥
(ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ) ਮੈਂ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਦਾ ਹੀ ਰੂਪ) ਹੈ,
Whatever I see, is my Lord and Master God.
ਜੋਸੁਨਣਾਸੋਪ੍ਰਭਕੀਬਾਨੀ॥
ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਮੈਂ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਆਪ ਬੋਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
Whatever I hear, is the Bani of God's Word.
ਜੋਕੀਨੋਸੋਤੁਮਹਿਕਰਾਇਓਸਰਣਿਸਹਾਈਸੰਤਹਤਨਾ॥੧੩॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਜੀਵ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਕਰਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਸਰਨ-ਪਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੩॥
Whatever I do, You make me do; You are the Sanctuary, the help and support of the Saints, Your children. ||13||
ਜਾਚਕੁਜਾਚੈਤੁਮਹਿਅਰਾਧੈ॥
(ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਦਾ) ਮੰਗਤਾ (ਦਾਸ) ਤੈਥੋਂ ਹੀ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਆਰਾਧਦਾ ਹੈ।
The beggar begs, and worships You in adoration.
ਪਤਿਤਪਾਵਨਪੂਰਨਪ੍ਰਭਸਾਧੈ॥
ਹੇ ਪਤਿਤ-ਪਾਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਾਧ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਦਾਨ ਦੇਹ)।
You are the Purifier of the sinners, O Perfectly Holy Lord God.
ਏਕੋਦਾਨੁਸਰਬਸੁਖਗੁਣਨਿਧਿਆਨਮੰਗਨਨਿਹਕਿੰਚਨਾ॥੧੪॥
ਹੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਤੈਥੋਂ) ਸਿਰਫ਼ (ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ) ਦਾਨ (ਹੀ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ), ਹੋਰ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਮੰਗਣੀਆਂ ਨਿਕੰਮੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੧੪॥
Please bless me with this one gift, O treasure of all bliss and virtue; I do not ask for anything else. ||14||
