ਇਕਿਭੂਖੇਇਕਿਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿਅਘਾਏਸਭਸੈਤੇਰਾਪਾਰਣਾ॥੩॥
ਤੂੰ ਕਈ ਤਾਂ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਕਈ ਪੂਰਨ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਰੱਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
Some are hungry and some are satisfied and satiated, but all lean on Your Support. ||3||
ਆਪੇਸਤਿਸਤਿਸਤਿਸਾਚਾ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
The True Lord Himself is True, True, True.
ਓਤਿਪੋਤਿਭਗਤਨਸੰਗਿਰਾਚਾ॥
ਤਾਣੇ ਪੇਟੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਚਿਆ-ਮਿਚਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
He is woven into the essence of His devotees, through and through.
ਆਪੇਗੁਪਤੁਆਪੇਹੈਪਰਗਟੁਅਪਣਾਆਪੁਪਸਾਰਣਾ॥੪॥
(ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਲੁਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਪਸਾਰਾ ਭੀ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੈ। (ਜਗਤ-ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ) ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਖਿਲਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੪॥
He Himself is hidden, and He Himself is revealed. He Himself spreads Himself out. ||4||
ਸਦਾਸਦਾਸਦਹੋਵਣਹਾਰਾ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ,
Forever, forever and ever, He shall always exist.
ਊਚਾਅਗਮੁਅਥਾਹੁਅਪਾਰਾ॥
(ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ) ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈ, ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਹੈ, ਅਥਾਹ ਹੈ, ਬੇਅੰਤ ਹੈ।
He is lofty, inaccessible, unfathomable and infinite.
ਊਣੇਭਰੇਭਰੇਭਰਿਊਣੇਏਹਿਚਲਤਸੁਆਮੀਕੇਕਾਰਣਾ॥੫॥
ਉਸ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਕੌਤਕ ਤਮਾਸ਼ੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਸੱਖਣੇ (ਭਾਂਡੇ) ਭਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਭਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਾਲੀ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫॥
He fills the empty, and empties out the filled; such are the plays and dramas of my Lord and Master. ||5||
ਮੁਖਿਸਾਲਾਹੀਸਚੇਸਾਹਾ॥
ਹੇ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ! (ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ) ਮੈਂ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ।
With my mouth, I praise my True Lord King.
ਨੈਣੀਪੇਖਾਅਗਮਅਥਾਹਾ॥
ਹੇ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਤੇ ਅਥਾਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ, ਹਰ ਥਾਂ) ਮੈਂ (ਤੈਨੂੰ) ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖਾਂ।
With my eyes, I behold the inaccessible and unfathomable Lord.
ਕਰਨੀਸੁਣਿਸੁਣਿਮਨੁਤਨੁਹਰਿਆਮੇਰੇਸਾਹਿਬਸਗਲਉਧਾਰਣਾ॥੬॥
ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਸੁਣ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਮੇਰਾ ਤਨ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨਾਲ) ਹਰਿਆ-ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਰਹੇ। ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਤੂੰ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੇੜਾ ਪਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੬॥
Listening, listening with my ears, my mind and body are rejuvenated; my Lord and Master saves all. ||6||
ਕਰਿਕਰਿਵੇਖਹਿਕੀਤਾਅਪਣਾ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
He created the creation, and gazes upon what He has created.
ਜੀਅਜੰਤਸੋਈਹੈਜਪਣਾ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਉਸੇ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ।
All beings and creatures meditate on Him.
ਅਪਣੀਕੁਦਰਤਿਆਪੇਜਾਣੈਨਦਰੀਨਦਰਿਨਿਹਾਲਣਾ॥੭॥
ਆਪਣੀ ਕੁਦਰਤ (ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ) ਨੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਿਹਰ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਸਭ ਵਲ ਤੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੭॥
He Himself knows His creative power; He blesses with His Glance of Grace. ||7||
ਸੰਤਸਭਾਜਹਬੈਸਹਿਪ੍ਰਭਪਾਸੇ॥
ਜਿਸ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ (ਸੰਤ ਜਨ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠਦੇ ਹਨ,
Where the Saints gather together and sit, God dwells close at hand.
ਅਨੰਦਮੰਗਲਹਰਿਚਲਤਤਮਾਸੇ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਕੌਤਕ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ,
They abide in bliss and joy, beholding the Lord's wondrous play.
ਗੁਣਗਾਵਹਿਅਨਹਦਧੁਨਿਬਾਣੀਤਹਨਾਨਕਦਾਸੁਚਿਤਾਰਣਾ॥੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਸੁਰ ਵਿਚ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ) ਉਸ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਏ ॥੮॥
They sing the Glories of the Lord, and the unstruck sound current of His Bani; O Nanak, His slaves remain conscious of Him. ||8||
ਆਵਣੁਜਾਣਾਸਭੁਚਲਤੁਤੁਮਾਰਾ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ) ਜੰਮਣਾ ਤੇ ਮਰਨਾ-ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਤੇਰਾ (ਰਚਿਆ) ਖੇਲ ਹੈ।
Coming and going is all Your wondrous play.
ਕਰਿਕਰਿਦੇਖੈਖੇਲੁਅਪਾਰਾ॥
ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਇਹ ਖੇਲ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਵੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
Creating the Creation, You gaze upon Your infinite play.
ਆਪਿਉਪਾਏਉਪਾਵਣਹਾਰਾਅਪਣਾਕੀਆਪਾਲਣਾ॥੯॥
ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ (ਜੀਵਾਂ) ਨੂੰ (ਆਪ ਹੀ) ਪਾਲਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੯॥
Creating the Creation, You Yourself cherish and nurture it. ||9||
ਸੁਣਿਸੁਣਿਜੀਵਾਸੋਇਤੁਮਾਰੀ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਸੁਣ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
Listening, listening to Your Glory, I live.
ਸਦਾਸਦਾਜਾਈਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ॥
ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
Forever and ever, I am a sacrifice to You.
ਦੁਇਕਰਜੋੜਿਸਿਮਰਉਦਿਨੁਰਾਤੀਮੇਰੇਸੁਆਮੀਅਗਮਅਪਾਰਣਾ॥੧੦॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਮਾਲਕ! (ਜਦੋਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ) ਮੈਂ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧੦॥
With my palms pressed together, I meditate in remembrance on You, day and night, O my inaccessible, infinite Lord and Master. ||10||
ਤੁਧੁਬਿਨੁਦੂਜੇਕਿਸੁਸਾਲਾਹੀ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੈਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ।
Other than You, who else should I praise?
ਏਕੋਏਕੁਜਪੀਮਨਮਾਹੀ॥
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਕ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਜਪਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
I meditate on the One and Only Lord within my mind.
ਹੁਕਮੁਬੂਝਿਜਨਭਏਨਿਹਾਲਾਇਹਭਗਤਾਕੀਘਾਲਣਾ॥੧੧॥
ਤੇਰੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਖਿੜੇ-ਮੱਥੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ-ਇਹ ਹੈ ਤੇਰਿਆਂ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਘਾਲ ਕਮਾਈ ॥੧੧॥
Realizing the Hukam of Your Will, Your humble servants are enraptured; this is the achievement of Your devotees. ||11||
ਗੁਰਉਪਦੇਸਿਜਪੀਐਮਨਿਸਾਚਾ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
Following the Guru's Teachings, I meditate on the True Lord within my mind.
ਗੁਰਉਪਦੇਸਿਰਾਮਰੰਗਿਰਾਚਾ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਚਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Following the Guru's Teachings, I am immersed in the Lord's Love.
ਗੁਰਉਪਦੇਸਿਤੁਟਹਿਸਭਿਬੰਧਨਇਹੁਭਰਮੁਮੋਹੁਪਰਜਾਲਣਾ॥੧੨॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਭਟਕਣਾ, ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਮੋਹ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੨॥
Following the Guru's Teachings, all bonds are broken, and this doubt and emotional attachment are burnt away. ||12||
ਜਹਰਾਖੈਸੋਈਸੁਖਥਾਨਾ॥
('ਐਸਾ ਕੋ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਆਇਆ' ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਜਿੱਥੇ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ) (ਸਾਡੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਥਾਂ ਹੈ,
Wherever He keeps me, is my place of rest.
ਸਹਜੇਹੋਇਸੋਈਭਲਮਾਨਾ॥
(ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਲਾਈ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈ,
Whatever naturally happens, I accept that as good.
ਬਿਨਸੇਬੈਰਨਾਹੀਕੋਬੈਰੀਸਭੁਏਕੋਹੈਭਾਲਣਾ॥੧੩॥
(ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਸਾਰੇ ਵੈਰ-ਵਿਰੋਧ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਕੋਈ ਵੈਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ, (ਜਿਹੜਾ) ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੩॥
Hatred is gone - I have no hatred at all; I see the One Lord in all. ||13||
ਡਰਚੂਕੇਬਿਨਸੇਅੰਧਿਆਰੇ॥
('ਐਸਾ ਕੋ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਆਇਆ', ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
Fear has been removed, and darkness has been dispelled.
ਪ੍ਰਗਟੁਭਏਪ੍ਰਭਪੁਰਖਨਿਰਾਰੇ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
The all-powerful, primal, detached Lord God has been revealed.
ਆਪੁਛੋਡਿਪਏਸਰਣਾਈਜਿਸਕਾਸਾਤਿਸੁਘਾਲਣਾ॥੧੪॥
(ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਰਨੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਉਸੇ (ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ) ਦੀ ਘਾਲ-ਕਮਾਈ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੪॥
Forsaking self-conceit, I have entered His Sanctuary, and I work for Him. ||14||
ਐਸਾਕੋਵਡਭਾਗੀਆਇਆ॥
ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਹੀ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਹੈ,
Rare are those few, very blessed people, who come into the world,
ਆਠਪਹਰਜਿਨਿਖਸਮੁਧਿਆਇਆ॥
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਰ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
and meditate on their Lord and Master, twenty-four hours a day.
ਤਿਸੁਜਨਕੈਸੰਗਿਤਰੈਸਭੁਕੋਈਸੋਪਰਵਾਰਸਧਾਰਣਾ॥੧੫॥
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ (ਰਹਿ ਕੇ) ਹਰੇਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੫॥
Associating with such humble people, all are saved, and their families are saved as well. ||15||
ਇਹਬਖਸੀਸਖਸਮਤੇਪਾਵਾ॥
(ਜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ) ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਮਾਲਕ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਇਹ ਦਾਤ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰਾਂ
This is the blessing which I have received from my Lord and Master.
ਆਠਪਹਰਕਰਜੋੜਿਧਿਆਵਾ॥
ਕਿ ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਰ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ,
Twenty-four hours a day, with my palms pressed together, I meditate on Him.
ਨਾਮੁਜਪੀਨਾਮਿਸਹਜਿਸਮਾਵਾਨਾਮੁਨਾਨਕਮਿਲੈਉਚਾਰਣਾ॥੧੬॥੧॥੬॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਾਂ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਮਿਲੀ ਰਹੇ ॥੧੬॥੧॥੬॥
I chant the Naam, and through the Naam, I intuitively merge into the Lord; O Nanak, may I be blessed with the Naam, and ever repeat it. ||16||1||6||
ਮਾਰੂਮਹਲਾ੫॥
Maaroo, Fifth Mahalaa:
ਸੂਰਤਿਦੇਖਿਨਭੂਲੁਗਵਾਰਾ॥
ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ! (ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ) ਸ਼ਕਲ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਗ਼ਲਤੀ ਨਾਹ ਖਾਹ।
Do not be fooled by appearances, you fool.
ਮਿਥਨਮੋਹਾਰਾਝੂਠੁਪਸਾਰਾ॥
ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਝੂਠੇ ਮੋਹ ਦਾ ਝੂਠਾ ਖਿਲਾਰਾ ਹੈ।
This is a false attachment to the expanse of an illusion.
ਜਗਮਹਿਕੋਈਰਹਣੁਨਪਾਏਨਿਹਚਲੁਏਕੁਨਾਰਾਇਣਾ॥੧॥
ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦਾ, ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
No one can remain in this world; only the One Lord is permanent and unchanging. ||1||
ਗੁਰਪੂਰੇਕੀਪਉਸਰਣਾਈ॥
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਰਹੁ।
Seek the Sanctuary of the Perfect Guru.
ਮੋਹੁਸੋਗੁਸਭੁਭਰਮੁਮਿਟਾਈ॥
ਗੁਰੂ (ਸਰਨ ਪਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ) ਮੋਹ ਸੋਗ ਤੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਭਰਮ ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
He shall eradicate all emotional attachment, sorrow and doubt.
ਏਕੋਮੰਤ੍ਰੁਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਏਅਉਖਧੁਸਚੁਨਾਮੁਰਿਦਗਾਇਣਾ॥੨॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਇਕੋ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਇਕੋ ਦਵਾਈ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
He shall administer the medicine, the Mantra of the One Name. Sing the True Name within your heart. ||2||
