ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਲਇਆ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥
(ਪਰ ਉਹ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ (ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਹੋਰ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧॥
By Guru's Grace, the Lord comes to dwell in the mind; He cannot be obtained in any other way. ||1||
गुर किरपा ते हरि मनि वसै होरतु बिधि लइआ न जाई ॥१॥
Por la Gracia del Guru, el Señor llega a habitar en tu mente y de ninguna otra forma Lo puedes obtener. (1)
ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਚੀਐ ਭਾਈ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ,
So gather in the wealth of the Lord, O Siblings of Destiny,
हरि धनु संचीऐ भाई ॥
Reúnan entonces la Riqueza del Señor, oh Hermanos del Destino,
ਜਿ ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਹੋਇ ਸਖਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਹਰੀ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
so that in this world and the next, the Lord shall be your friend and companion. ||1||Pause||
जि हलति पलति हरि होइ सखाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
para que en este mundo y en el siguiente el Señor se convierta en tu Amigo y Compañero. (1-Pausa)
ਸਤਸੰਗਤੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਖਟੀਐ ਹੋਰ ਥੈ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਉਪਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਕਿਤੈ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਤਸੰਗੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ (ਮਿਲ ਕੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਖੱਟਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਸਤਸੰਗ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਹੋਰ ਥਾਂ, ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਹੋਰ ਜਤਨ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਧਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
In the company of the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, you shall earn the wealth of the Lord; this wealth of the Lord is not obtained anywhere else, by any other means, at all.
सतसंगती संगि हरि धनु खटीऐ होर थै होरतु उपाइ हरि धनु कितै न पाई ॥
Es en la Compañía de la Saad Sangat, la Verdadera Congregación, en donde ganarás la Riqueza del Señor, la Cuál no se obtiene de ninguna otra forma o modo.
ਹਰਿ ਰਤਨੈ ਕਾ ਵਾਪਾਰੀਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਤਨ ਧਨੁ ਵਿਹਾਝੇ ਕਚੈ ਕੇ ਵਾਪਾਰੀਏ ਵਾਕਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਲਇਆ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੨॥
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਧਨ ਦਾ ਸਤਸੰਗੀ ਵਾਪਾਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਧਨ ਖ਼ਰੀਦਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਪਾਰੀ (ਮਾਇਕ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਹੀ ਖ਼ਰੀਦਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ) ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੨॥
The dealer in the Lord's Jewels purchases the wealth of the Lord's jewels; the dealer in cheap glass jewels cannot acquire the Lord's wealth by empty words. ||2||
हरि रतनै का वापारीआ हरि रतन धनु विहाझे कचै के वापारीए वाकि हरि धनु लइआ न जाई ॥२॥
El comerciante de las Joyas del Señor, compra la Riqueza de las Joyas del Señor. Quien comercia con vidrio barato no puede obtener la Joya del Señor, no puede hacerlo sólo con palabras vacías. (2)
ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਜਵੇਹਰੁ ਮਾਣਕੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੈ ਨਾਲਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੇਲੈ ਵਤੈ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਭੀ) ਧਨ (ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਧਨ) ਰਤਨ ਜਵਾਹਰ ਮੋਤੀ (ਵਰਗਾ ਕੀਮਤੀ) ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਪਲ੍ਹਰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਇਸ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਧਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
The Lord's wealth is like jewels, gems and rubies. At the appointed time in the Amrit Vaylaa, the ambrosial hours of the morning, the Lord's devotees lovingly center their attention on the Lord, and the wealth of the Lord.
हरि धनु रतनु जवेहरु माणकु हरि धनै नालि अंम्रित वेलै वतै हरि भगती हरि लिव लाई ॥
La Riqueza del Señor es como las Joyas, Gemas y Rubíes, a la hora de la cita, en el Amrit Vela, las horas Ambrosiales de la mañana, los Devotos del Señor, amorosamente se concentran en el Señor y en Su Riqueza.
ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੇਲੈ ਵਤੈ ਕਾ ਬੀਜਿਆ ਭਗਤ ਖਾਇ ਖਰਚਿ ਰਹੇ ਨਿਖੁਟੈ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੈ ਕੀ ਭਗਤਾ ਕਉ ਮਿਲੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੩॥
ਵੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੇਲੇ (ਉੱਠ ਕੇ) ਬੀਜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਇਹ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਭਗਤ ਜਨ ਆਪ ਵਰਤਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੰਡਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਇਹ ਮੁੱਕਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ। ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
The devotees of the Lord plant the seed of the Lord's wealth in the ambrosial hours of the Amrit Vaylaa; they eat it, and spend it, but it is never exhausted. In this world and the next, the devotees are blessed with glorious greatness, the wealth of the Lord. ||3||
हरि धनु अंम्रित वेलै वतै का बीजिआ भगत खाइ खरचि रहे निखुटै नाही ॥ हलति पलति हरि धनै की भगता कउ मिली वडिआई ॥३॥
Sembrando en ese momento el Nombre del Señor, el Devoto obtiene una cosecha inexhausta. En este mundo y en el siguiente los Devotos son bendecidos con la Gloria de la Riqueza del Señor. (3)
ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਅਸਥਿਰੁ ਹੈ ਸਾਚਾ ਇਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਅਗਨੀ ਤਸਕਰੈ ਪਾਣੀਐ ਜਮਦੂਤੈ ਕਿਸੈ ਕਾ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਇਸ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਡਰ-ਖ਼ਤਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਇਹ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅੱਗ, ਚੋਰ, ਪਾਣੀ, ਮੌਤ-ਕਿਸੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਭੀ ਇਸ ਧਨ ਦਾ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
The wealth of the Fearless Lord is permanent, forever and ever, and true. This wealth of the Lord cannot be destroyed by fire or water; neither thieves nor the Messenger of Death can take it away.
हरि धनु निरभउ सदा सदा असथिरु है साचा इहु हरि धनु अगनी तसकरै पाणीऐ जमदूतै किसै का गवाइआ न जाई ॥
Nuestro Eterno Señor nos bendice generosamente con Sus Riquezas, las cuales no pueden ser arrasadas por ninguna tempestad, ningún ladrón puede robárselas,
ਹਰਿ ਧਨ ਕਉ ਉਚਕਾ ਨੇੜਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਜਮੁ ਜਾਗਾਤੀ ਡੰਡੁ ਨ ਲਗਾਈ ॥੪॥
ਕੋਈ ਲੁਟੇਰਾ ਇਸ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਢੁਕ ਸਕਦਾ। ਜਮ ਮਸੂਲੀਆ ਇਸ ਧਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਸੂਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੪॥
Thieves cannot even approach the Lord's wealth; Death, the tax collector cannot tax it. ||4||
हरि धन कउ उचका नेड़ि न आवई जमु जागाती डंडु न लगाई ॥४॥
ni Yama, el fiscal de la muerte, puede cobrarlas en el más allá. (4)
ਸਾਕਤੀ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਚਿਆ ਤਿਨਾ ਇਕ ਵਿਖ ਨਾਲਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ (ਸਦਾ) ਪਾਪ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਾਇਆ-ਧਨ (ਹੀ) ਜੋੜਿਆ, (ਪਰ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ (ਜਗਤ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ) ਇਹ ਧਨ ਇਕ ਕਦਮ ਭੀ ਸਾਥ ਨਾਹ ਕਰ ਸਕਿਆ।
The faithless cynics commit sins and gather in their poisonous wealth, but it shall not go along with them for even a single step.
साकती पाप करि कै बिखिआ धनु संचिआ तिना इक विख नालि न जाई ॥
Los necios reúnen riquezas emponzoñadas, las cuales no los siguen ni siquiera un paso después de aquí.
ਹਲਤੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਸਾਕਤ ਦੁਹੇਲੇ ਭਏ ਹਥਹੁ ਛੁੜਕਿ ਗਇਆ ਅਗੈ ਪਲਤਿ ਸਾਕਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਢੋਈ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥੫॥
(ਇਸ ਮਾਇਆ-ਧਨ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ) ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੀ ਰਹੇ (ਮਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਇਹ ਧਨ) ਹੱਥੋਂ ਖੁੱਸ ਗਿਆ, ਅਗਾਂਹ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ ॥੫॥
In this world, the faithless cynics become miserable, as it slips away through their hands. In the world hereafter, the faithless cynics find no shelter in the Court of the Lord. ||5||
हलतै विचि साकत दुहेले भए हथहु छुड़कि गइआ अगै पलति साकतु हरि दरगह ढोई न पाई ॥५॥
Se lamentan en este mundo, pues pierden sus posesiones y no encuentran Refugio después de la muerte.
ਇਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਨ ਕਾ ਸਾਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਦੇਇ ਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਲਦਿ ਚਲਾਈ ॥
ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਇਸ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਇਹ ਧਨ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਇਸ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਇਹ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਸੌਦਾ ਵਿਹਾਝ ਕੇ ਇਥੋਂ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Lord Himself is the Banker of this wealth, O Saints; when the Lord gives it, the mortal loads it and takes it away.
इसु हरि धन का साहु हरि आपि है संतहु जिस नो देइ सु हरि धनु लदि चलाई ॥
Sólo el Señor es el Dador de Sus Riquezas; oh Santos, sólo el que es bendecido por Dios Mismo las obtiene.
ਇਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੈ ਕਾ ਤੋਟਾ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਈ ॥੬॥੩॥੧੦॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਇਸ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਦੇ ਵਪਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਕਦੇ ਘਾਟਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ। ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਝਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੬॥੩॥੧੦॥
This wealth of the Lord is never exhausted; the Guru has given this understanding to servant Nanak. ||6||3||10||
इसु हरि धनै का तोटा कदे न आवई जन नानक कउ गुरि सोझी पाई ॥६॥३॥१०॥
Son Riquezas que nunca se acaban; esta Sabiduría Nanak La ha recibido por la Gracia del Guru. (6-3-10)
ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥
Soohee, Fourth Mahalaa:
सूही महला ४ ॥
Suji, Mejl Guru Ram Das, Cuarto Canal Divino.
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣਾ ਰਵੈ ਸੋ ਭਗਤੁ ਸੋ ਪਰਵਾਨੁ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਭਗਤ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ) ਕਬੂਲ ਹੈ।
That mortal, with whom the Lord is pleased, repeats the Glorious Praises of the Lord; he alone is a devotee, and he alone is approved.
जिस नो हरि सुप्रसंनु होइ सो हरि गुणा रवै सो भगतु सो परवानु ॥
Aquél que goza de la Compasión del Señor, canta Su Alabanza; sólo él es aprobado como Devoto del Señor.
ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਕਿਆ ਵਰਨੀਐ ਜਿਸ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਵਸਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਭਗਵਾਨੁ ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ॥੧॥
How can his glory be described? Within his heart, the Primal Lord, the Lord God, abides. ||1||
तिस की महिमा किआ वरनीऐ जिस कै हिरदै वसिआ हरि पुरखु भगवानु ॥१॥
Aquél en cuyo corazón habita Dios, participa de una Gloria Indescriptible. (1)
ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਈਐ ਜੀਉ ਲਾਇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲਿ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਆਓ, ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ, ਗੁਰੂ (ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ) ਨਾਲ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਇਆ ਕਰੀਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe; focus your meditation on the True Guru. ||1||Pause||
गोविंद गुण गाईऐ जीउ लाइ सतिगुरू नालि धिआनु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Canta la Alabanza del Señor con todo tu corazón, enfocando tu ser en el Guru Verdadero. (1-Pausa)
ਸੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਸਾ ਸੇਵਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸਫਲ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਪਾਈਐ ਪਰਮ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ (ਐਸਾ ਸਮਰਥ ਹੈ) ਕਿ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਹੋਈ ਉਹ ਸੇਵਾ ਭੀ ਫਲ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
He is the True Guru - service to the True Guru is fruitful and rewarding. By this service, the greatest treasure is obtained.
सो सतिगुरू सा सेवा सतिगुर की सफल है जिस ते पाईऐ परम निधानु ॥
Sólo a través del Guru Verdadero y de Su Servicio ferviente, se obtiene el Tesoro Sublime del Nombre del Señor.
ਜੋ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਸਾਕਤ ਕਾਮਨਾ ਅਰਥਿ ਦੁਰਗੰਧ ਸਰੇਵਦੇ ਸੋ ਨਿਹਫਲ ਸਭੁ ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ॥੨॥
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ (ਫਸ ਕੇ) ਮਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਾਸਨਾਂ (ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ) ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਗਵਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਹੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਬੇ-ਸਮਝੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
The faithless cynics in their love of duality and sensual desires, harbor foul-smelling urges. They are totally useless and ignorant. ||2||
जो दूजै भाइ साकत कामना अरथि दुरगंध सरेवदे सो निहफल सभु अगिआनु ॥२॥
Algunos son llevados por el deseo nacido de la ignorancia y cultivan la maldad; su esfuerzo no da fruto. (2)
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਗਾਵਿਆ ਥਾਇ ਪਵੈ ਸੋ ਪਾਵੈ ਦਰਗਹ ਮਾਨੁ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ (ਗੁਰੂ ਉੱਤੇ) ਸਰਧਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਰਿ-ਜਸ ਗਾਣਾ (ਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ) ਕਬੂਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਆਦਰ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
One who has faith - his singing is approved. He is honored in the Court of the Lord.
जिस नो परतीति होवै तिस का गाविआ थाइ पवै सो पावै दरगह मानु ॥

ਜੋ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਰਤੀਤੀ ਕਪਟੀ ਕੂੜੀ ਕੂੜੀ ਅਖੀ ਮੀਟਦੇ ਉਨ ਕਾ ਉਤਰਿ ਜਾਇਗਾ ਝੂਠੁ ਗੁਮਾਨੁ ॥੩॥
ਪਰ ਜੇਹੜੇ ਫ਼ਰੇਬੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਗੁਰੂ ਉਤੇ) ਨਿਸਚਾ ਰੱਖਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਝੂਠ-ਮੂਠ ਹੀ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਮੀਟਦੇ ਹਨ (ਮਾਨੋ, ਸਮਾਧੀ ਲਾਈ ਬੈਠੇ ਹਨ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ (ਆਪਣੀ ਉੱਚਤਾ ਬਾਰੇ) ਝੂਠਾ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ (ਆਖ਼ਰ) ਲਹਿ ਜਾਇਗਾ ॥੩॥
Those who lack faith may close their eyes, hypocritically pretending and faking devotion, but their false pretenses shall soon wear off. ||3||
जो बिनु परतीती कपटी कूड़ी कूड़ी अखी मीटदे उन का उतरि जाइगा झूठु गुमानु ॥३॥
pero aquél que sin Fe en su corazón, cierra los ojos fingiendo meditar, es consumido por la vanidad de su ego. (3)
ਜੇਤਾ ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਸਭੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂੰ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਭਗਵਾਨੁ ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਤਨਾ ਭੀ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ) ਜਿੰਦ-ਸਰੀਰ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਸਭ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੈਂ।
My soul and body are totally Yours, Lord; You are the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts, my Primal Lord God.
जेता जीउ पिंडु सभु तेरा तूं अंतरजामी पुरखु भगवानु ॥
Toda manifestación de vida es Creación Tuya, Oh Señor, Conocedor Íntimo, Espíritu Divino, Hacedor de Destinos.
ਦਾਸਨਿ ਦਾਸੁ ਕਹੈ ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜੇਹਾ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਾਇਹਿ ਤੇਹਾ ਹਉ ਕਰੀ ਵਖਿਆਨੁ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੧॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਤੂੰ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਅਖਵਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੧॥
So speaks servant Nanak, the slave of Your slaves; as You make me speak, so do I speak. ||4||4||11||
दासनि दासु कहै जनु नानकु जेहा तूं कराइहि तेहा हउ करी वखिआनु ॥४॥४॥११॥
Dice Nanak, el Esclavo de los esclavos del Señor, oh Dios, yo recito sólo lo que Tú me haces recitar.(4-4-11)
