ਕੋਟਨਿ ਕੋਟਾਨਿ ਕਾਮ ਕਟਕ ਹੁਇ ਕਾਮਾਰਥੀ ਕੋਟਨਿ ਕੋਟਾਨਿ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੀ ਵੰਤ ਆਹਿ ਜੀ ।
ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਕੋਟੀਆਂ ਕਾਮਦੇਵ ਕਾਮਾਰਥੀ ਕਾਮ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਜਨ ਸਾਧਨਹਾਰੇ ਕਾਮਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਵਾ ਕਾਮ ਅਰਥੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਔਣ ਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਕਟੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵੰਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਬਣ, ਵਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵੰਤ੍ਯਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੈਰ ਭਾਵ ਲਈ ਜੋੜ ਲਿਔਣ।
If countless means of inciting lust in a consecrated and practitioner of meditation on Lord's name befall upon a Sikh of the Guru, he is also invaded by unlimited means that can put him in rage;
कोटनि कोटानि काम कटक हुइ कामारथी कोटनि कोटानि क्रोध क्रोधी वंत आहि जी ।
ਕੋਟਨਿ ਕੋਟਾਨਿ ਲੋਭ ਲੋਭੀ ਹੁਇ ਲਾਲਚੁ ਕਰੈ ਕੋਟਨਿ ਕੋਟਾਨਿ ਮੋਹ ਮੋਹੈ ਅਵਗਾਹਿ ਜੀ ।
ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਕੋਟੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਲੋਭ ਲੋਭੀ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਕਰਨ ਲੁੱਟਨਾ ਚਾਹੁਨ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਕੋਟੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਮੋਹ ਭੀ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਵਗਾਹਿ ਹਿਠਾਹਾਂ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਹੋਣ ਗੋਤੇ ਲੌਣ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਮਨਸੂਬੇ ਬੰਨਣ।
If he is visited by millions and millions of allurements of greed and attachments to entangle him;
कोटनि कोटानि लोभ लोभी हुइ लालचु करै कोटनि कोटानि मोह मोहै अवगाहि जी ।
ਕੋਟਨਿ ਕੋਟਾਨਿ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਹੁਇ ਰੂਪ ਰਿਪ ਸੰਪੈ ਸੁਖ ਬਲ ਛਲ ਚਾਹਿ ਜੀ ।
ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਕੋਟੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਹੰਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਬਣ ਆਵਣ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਲੋਭ ਮੋਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੈਨਾ ਭੀ ਚਾਹੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਰਲ ਆਣ ਕੇ ਰੂਪ ਸੁੰਦ੍ਰਤਾ ਸੰਪੇ ਸੰਪਦਾ = ਵਿਭੂਤੀ ਸੁਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਿਲਾਸ ਤਥਾ ਬਲ ਤੇਜ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਦੇ ਰਿਪੁ ਸਤ੍ਰੂ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਛਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੁਨ ਤਾਂ ਭੀ:
Millions and millions of such temptations are visited upon him like enemies that would make him proud, enticing him with wealth, luxuries and physical power;
कोटनि कोटानि अहंकार अहंकारी हुइ रूप रिप संपै सुख बल छल चाहि जी ।
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਿਖਨ ਕੇ ਰੋਮਹਿ ਨ ਚਾਂਪ ਸਕੈ ਜਾਂ ਪੈ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨ ਧਿਆਨ ਸਸਤ੍ਰਨ ਸਨਾਹਿ ਜੀ ।੩੫੯।
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਪਹਿਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਦਾ ਸੰਜੋਆ ਧਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਯਾ ਹੈ। ਓਨਾਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਲ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਵਿੰਗ੍ਯਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ॥੩੫੯॥
