ਮਨਮੁਖ ਜਨਮੁ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਗਇਆ ਕਿਆ ਮੁਹੁ ਦੇਸੀ ਜਾਇ ॥੩॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਬੀਤ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਇਥੋਂ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਅਗਾਂਹ ਕੀਹ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਖਾਇਗਾ? (ਭਾਵ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਹੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ) ॥੩॥
The life of the self-willed manmukh passes uselessly. What face will he show when he passes beyond? ||3||
मनमुख जनमु बिरथा गइआ किआ मुहु देसी जाइ ॥३॥
La vida del arrogante Manmukj es totalmente vana, ¿con que cara va a enfrentar al Señor? (3)
ਸਭ ਕਿਛੁ ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਕਹਨੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
(ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੀ ਕੀਹ ਵੱਸ?) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥ ਹੈ, (ਉਂਞ) ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਿਆਂ (ਇਹ ਸੱਚਾਈ) ਆਖੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ (ਭਾਵ, ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚ ਫਸੇ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨ-ਜੋਗ ਹੈ)।
God Himself is everything; those who are in their ego cannot even speak of this.
सभ किछु आपे आपि है हउमै विचि कहनु न जाइ ॥
Él, el Señor, es Todo en todo; no reconocemos este hecho a causa de nuestro ego.
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਛਾਣੀਐ ਦੁਖੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਗਵਾਇ ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਹਉਮੈ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, He is realized, and the pain of egotism is eradicated from within.
गुर कै सबदि पछाणीऐ दुखु हउमै विचहु गवाइ ॥
A través de la Palabra del Guru Él es concebido, y es así como hacemos a un lado nuestro ego.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਨਿ ਆਪਣਾ ਹਉ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਲਾਗਉ ਪਾਇ ॥
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਹਨ), ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
I fall at the feet of those who serve their True Guru.
सतिगुरु सेवनि आपणा हउ तिन कै लागउ पाइ ॥
Ofrezco mi obediencia a aquéllos que sirven a su Guru Verdadero.
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਰਿ ਸਚੈ ਸਚਿਆਰ ਹਹਿ ਹਉ ਤਿਨ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ॥੪॥੨੧॥੫੪॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜੇਹੜੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਸੁਰਖ਼ਰੂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੪॥੨੧॥੫੪॥{34-35}
O Nanak, I am a sacrifice to those who are found to be true in the True Court. ||4||21||54||
नानक दरि सचै सचिआर हहि हउ तिन बलिहारै जाउ ॥४॥२१॥५४॥
Nanak ofrece su ser en sacrificio a aquéllos que son considerados dignos de Fe en la Corte del Señor. (4-2-54)

ਜੇ ਵੇਲਾ ਵਖਤੁ ਵੀਚਾਰੀਐ ਤਾ ਕਿਤੁ ਵੇਲਾ ਭਗਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥
ਜੇ (ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਕੋਈ ਖ਼ਾਸ ਵੇਲਾ ਕੋਈ ਖ਼ਾਸ ਵਕਤ ਨਿਯਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਵਿਚਾਰਦੇ ਰਹੀਏ, ਤਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਭੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ।
Consider the time and the moment-when should we worship the Lord?
जे वेला वखतु वीचारीऐ ता कितु वेला भगति होइ ॥
¿Qué momento es el más propicio para alabar al Señor?
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੇ ਰਤਿਆ ਸਚੇ ਸਚੀ ਸੋਇ ॥
ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ।
Night and day, one who is attuned to the Name of the True Lord is true.
अनदिनु नामे रतिआ सचे सची सोइ ॥
Cuando la mente es henchida con el Nombre del Señor y el Uno Verdadero es aclamado en la mente como Verdad
ਇਕੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਿਨੇਹੀ ਹੋਇ ॥
ਉਹ ਕਾਹਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਹੋਈ, ਜੇ ਇਕ ਖਿਨ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿੱਸਰ ਜਾਏ?
If someone forgets the Beloved Lord, even for an instant, what sort of devotion is that?
इकु तिलु पिआरा विसरै भगति किनेही होइ ॥
Vivimos apegados a la Gran Ilusión y se nos olvida el Gran Dador, el Dador de la Paz.
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਸਾਚ ਸਿਉ ਸਾਸੁ ਨ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਕੋਇ ॥੧॥
ਜੇ ਇਕ ਸਾਹ ਭੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਾਲੀ ਨਾਹ ਜਾਏ, ਤਾਂ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ ਮਨ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਰੀਰ (ਭੀ) ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
One whose mind and body are cooled and soothed by the True Lord-no breath of his is wasted. ||1||
मनु तनु सीतलु साच सिउ सासु न बिरथा कोइ ॥१॥
Cuando la Verdad del Señor llega a consolar al cuerpo y a la mente, ni una sola respiración es desperdiciada. 1()
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ।
O my mind, meditate on the Name of the Lord.
मेरे मन हरि का नामु धिआइ ॥
Oh mi mente, medita en el Nombre del Señor
ਸਾਚੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਤਾ ਥੀਐ ਜਾ ਹਰਿ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਭਗਤੀ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
True devotional worship is performed when the Lord comes to dwell in the mind. ||1||Pause||
साची भगति ता थीऐ जा हरि वसै मनि आइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Pues la Verdadera Alabanza se da cuando el Señor llega a ti. (1-Pausa)
ਸਹਜੇ ਖੇਤੀ ਰਾਹੀਐ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਬੀਜੁ ਪਾਇ ॥
ਜੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਨਾਮ-ਬੀ ਬੀਜ ਕੇ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ) ਫ਼ਸਲ ਬੀਜੀਏ;
With intuitive ease, cultivate your farm, and plant the Seed of the True Name.
सहजे खेती राहीऐ सचु नामु बीजु पाइ ॥
Si cultivamos con aplomo nuestra granja y sembramos la semilla del Nombre Verdadero
ਖੇਤੀ ਜੰਮੀ ਅਗਲੀ ਮਨੂਆ ਰਜਾ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥
ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਉੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਬੀਜਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ (ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਵਲੋਂ) ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The seedlings have sprouted luxuriantly, and with intuitive ease, the mind is satisfied.
खेती जंमी अगली मनूआ रजा सहजि सुभाइ ॥
la cosecha será abundante y la mente saciada de manera natural.
ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਤੁ ਪੀਤੈ ਤਿਖ ਜਾਇ ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ (ਐਸਾ) ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੈ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਜਲ ਹੈ) ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਪੀਤਿਆਂ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ) ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
The Word of the Guru's Shabad is Ambrosial Nectar; drinking it in, thirst is quenched.
गुर का सबदु अंम्रितु है जितु पीतै तिख जाइ ॥
La Palabra del Guru es el Néctar, aplaca tu sed con Él.
ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਚਿ ਰਤਾ ਸਚੇ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੨॥
(ਨਾਮ-ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪੀਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ) ਇਹ ਮਨ ਅਡੋਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਦੀ ਯਾਦ) ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
This true mind is attuned to Truth, and it remains permeated with the True One. ||2||
इहु मनु साचा सचि रता सचे रहिआ समाइ ॥२॥
Tu mente se vuelve verdadera al estar entonada y fundida en la Verdad. (2)
ਆਖਣੁ ਵੇਖਣੁ ਬੋਲਣਾ ਸਬਦੇ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਖਣਾ ਵੇਖਣਾ ਬੋਲਣਾ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਜੇਹੜੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਮਗਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ) ਤੇ ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ (ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹਨ),
In speaking, in seeing and in words, remain immersed in the Shabad.
आखणु वेखणु बोलणा सबदे रहिआ समाइ ॥
Los que ven, hablan y cantan testificando el Sonido del Shabd
ਬਾਣੀ ਵਜੀ ਚਹੁ ਜੁਗੀ ਸਚੋ ਸਚੁ ਸੁਣਾਇ ॥
ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ (ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਸੁਣਾ ਸੁਣਾ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੋਭਾ (ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ) ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਕਾਇਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
The Word of the Guru's Bani vibrates throughout the four ages. As Truth, it teaches Truth.
बाणी वजी चहु जुगी सचो सचु सुणाइ ॥
Su Palabra es escuchada a través de las Cuatro épocas y la Verdad es proclamada
ਹਉਮੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਰਹਿ ਗਇਆ ਸਚੈ ਲਇਆ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥
ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਪਣੱਤ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Egotism and possessiveness are eliminated, and the True One absorbs them into Himself.
हउमै मेरा रहि गइआ सचै लइआ मिलाइ ॥
Su ego se desvanece y el Uno Verdadero se funde en su ser.
ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਮਹਲੁ ਹਦੂਰਿ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਚਿ ਰਹੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੩॥
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਥਾਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
Those who remain lovingly absorbed in the True One see the Mansion of His Presence close at hand. ||3||
तिन कउ महलु हदूरि है जो सचि रहे लिव लाइ ॥३॥
viven en la Presencia del Señor, estando su ser entonado en la Verdad de Dios (3)
ਨਦਰੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਵਿਣੁ ਕਰਮਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਉਹ ਮਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
By His Grace, we meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. Without His Mercy, it cannot be obtained.
नदरी नामु धिआईऐ विणु करमा पाइआ न जाइ ॥
Meditamos en el Nombre del Señor sólo en el momento en que Su Gracia se posa sobre nosotros pero sin un Destino verdadero, es imposible Encontrarlo, nadie lo ha hecho.
ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਸਤਿਸੰਗਤਿ ਲਹੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਇ ॥
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਆ ਕੇ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
Through perfect good destiny, one finds the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, and one comes to meet the True Guru.
पूरै भागि सतिसंगति लहै सतिगुरु भेटै जिसु आइ ॥
Aquél que goza de ese Destino llega a la Saad Sangat, la Sociedad de los Santos y recibe en su mente al Guru Verdadero.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੇ ਰਤਿਆ ਦੁਖੁ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਜਾਇ ॥
(ਇਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ (-ਰੰਗ) ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਮਾਇਆ (ਦੇ ਮੋਹ) ਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Night and day, remain attuned to the Naam, and the pain of corruption shall be dispelled from within.
अनदिनु नामे रतिआ दुखु बिखिआ विचहु जाइ ॥
Su mente se llena del Nombre del Señor para siempre y el dolor de la maldad no se le vuelve a acercar.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੜਾ ਨਾਮੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੪॥੨੨॥੫੫॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ) ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੨੨॥੫੫॥
O Nanak, merging with the Shabad through the Name, one is immersed in the Name. ||4||22||55||
नानक सबदि मिलावड़ा नामे नामि समाइ ॥४॥२२॥५५॥
Dice Nanak, sólo el Bani de la Palabra del Shabd nos puede unir al Señor. Es a través del Nombre del Señor que nos fundimos en Él. (4-22-55)

ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਡਰ-ਅਦਬ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੋਚ-ਮੰਡਲ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
Those who contemplate the Word of the Guru's Shabad are filled with the Fear of God.
आपणा भउ तिन पाइओनु जिन गुर का सबदु बीचारि ॥
La Reverencia por el Señor la tienen sólo aquéllos que meditan en la Palabra del Guru.
ਸਤਸੰਗਤੀ ਸਦਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਹੇ ਸਚੇ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਸਾਰਿ ॥
ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ (ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਸਾਂਭ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
They remain forever merged with the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation; they dwell upon the Glories of the True One.
सतसंगती सदा मिलि रहे सचे के गुण सारि ॥
Ellos se unen a la Saad Sangat, la Sociedad de los Santos, y los méritos del Uno Verdadero les son revelados.
ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਮੈਲੁ ਚੁਕਾਈਅਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਉਰ ਧਾਰਿ ॥
ਉਸ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਨੇ ਆਪ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦੇ ਨਾਮ) ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ।
They cast off the filth of their mental duality, and they keep the Lord enshrined in their hearts.
दुबिधा मैलु चुकाईअनु हरि राखिआ उर धारि ॥
Ellos limpian las inmundicias de su duda y llevan al Señor en su corazón.
ਸਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਚੁ ਮਨਿ ਸਚੇ ਨਾਲਿ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥੧॥
ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦੀ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਆਪ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
True is their speech, and true are their minds. They are in love with the True One. ||1||
सची बाणी सचु मनि सचे नालि पिआरु ॥१॥
Su discurso es verdadero, su mente también lo es, y no aman a nadie más que al Uno Verdadero. (1)
ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਮੈਲੁ ਭਰ ਨਾਲਿ ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ (ਪ੍ਰਬਲ) ਹੈ।
O my mind, you are filled with the filth of egotism.
मन मेरे हउमै मैलु भर नालि ॥
Oh mi mente, estás manchada con la suciedad del ego.
ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਸਦਾ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਵਾਰਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਇਸ) ਮੈਲ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਸਦਾ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਹੈ। (ਉਹ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ) ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਬਣਾਣ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੈ (ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ ਭੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ) ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
The Immaculate Lord is eternally Beautiful. We are adorned with the Word of the Shabad. ||1||Pause||
हरि निरमलु सदा सोहणा सबदि सवारणहारु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sólo la Palabra del Señor te puede volver pura y beatificar. (1-Pausa)
ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਨੁ ਮੋਹਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪੇ ਲਏ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਜੋੜ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
God joins to Himself those whose minds are fascinated with the True Word of His Shabad.
सचै सबदि मनु मोहिआ प्रभि आपे लए मिलाइ ॥
Aquéllos que aman la Palabra Verdadera, el Señor los une en Su Propio Ser. Su Alma se sumerge en el Alma Universal, en el Nombre del Señor.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੇ ਰਤਿਆ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥
ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਰੰਗੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
Night and day, they are attuned to the Naam, and their light is absorbed into the Light.
अनदिनु नामे रतिआ जोती जोति समाइ ॥
Es a través de la luz interior que Dios nos es revelado
ਜੋਤੀ ਹੂ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬੂਝ ਨ ਪਾਇ ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਅੰਦਰਲੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਉਸ ਜੋਤਿ (ਚਾਨਣ) ਦੀ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੀ।
Through His Light, God is revealed. Without the True Guru, understanding is not obtained.
जोती हू प्रभु जापदा बिनु सतिगुर बूझ न पाइ ॥
y esa Luz surge del Guru Verdadero.
ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਆਇ ॥੨॥
(ਤੇ) ਗੁਰੂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆ ਕੇ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਧੁਰੋਂ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਤੋਂ) ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੨॥
The True Guru comes to meet those who have such pre-ordained destiny. ||2||
जिन कउ पूरबि लिखिआ सतिगुरु भेटिआ तिन आइ ॥२॥
Los que gozan de ese Destino, reciben al Guru en sus brazos. (2)
ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਸਭ ਡੁਮਣੀ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਖੁਆਇ ॥
ਸਾਰੀ ਹੀ ਲੁਕਾਈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਵਿਚ ਫਸੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ (ਪੈ ਕੇ ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ) ਖੁੰਝ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Without the Name, all are miserable. In the love of duality, they are ruined.
विणु नावै सभ डुमणी दूजै भाइ खुआइ ॥
Sin el Nombre del Señor todos sufren y se retuercen por la dualidad.
ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਘੜੀ ਨ ਜੀਵਦੀ ਦੁਖੀ ਰੈਣਿ ਵਿਹਾਇ ॥
ਉਸ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਨਾਮ) ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਇਕ ਘੜੀ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਾਣ ਸਕਦੀ, ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ ਰਾਤ ਬੀਤ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Without Him, I cannot survive even for an instant, and my life-night passes in anguish.
तिसु बिनु घड़ी न जीवदी दुखी रैणि विहाइ ॥
No vivo ni un instante sin Él, si así lo hiciera, mis noches pasarían en pleno sufrimiento.
ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਣਾ ਅੰਧੁਲਾ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ ॥
ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਜੀਵ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਵਿਚ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਖੁੰਝ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Wandering in doubt, the spiritually blind come and go in reincarnation, over and over again.
भरमि भुलाणा अंधुला फिरि फिरि आवै जाइ ॥
El que vive en la duda y en la oscuridad, va y viene en vano.
ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਪੇ ਲਏ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥੩॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
When God Himself bestows His Glance of Grace, He blends us into Himself. ||3||
नदरि करे प्रभु आपणी आपे लए मिलाइ ॥३॥
Aquél que obtiene Su Gracia, el Señor lo une a Su Ser. (3)
