ਲਖ ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਤਰਸਦੇ ਜਿਸੁ ਮੇਲੇ ਸੋ ਮਿਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਆਇ ॥
ਚੌਰਾਸੀ ਲੱਖ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ) ਤਰਸਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਉਹੀ ਜੀਵ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਆਪ (ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ) ਮਿਲਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The 8.4 million species of beings all yearn for the Lord. Those whom He unites, come to be united with the Lord.
लख चउरासीह तरसदे जिसु मेले सो मिलै हरि आइ ॥
Las 8.4 millones de especies tienen sed de Él, pero uno encuentra al Señor, sólo si Él así lo desea.
ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੪॥੬॥੩੯॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੬॥੩੯॥{28-29}
O Nanak, the Gurmukh finds the Lord, and remains forever absorbed in the Lord's Name. ||4||6||39||
नानक गुरमुखि हरि पाइआ सदा हरि नामि समाइ ॥४॥६॥३९॥
A través del Guru, Nanak recibió al Señor, y se sumergió en Su Nombre para siempre. (4-6-39)

ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਇ ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਹ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ।
The Name of the Lord is the Ocean of Peace; the Gurmukhs obtain it.
सुख सागरु हरि नामु है गुरमुखि पाइआ जाइ ॥
El Nombre del Señor es el Océano de Paz. A través del Guru, el Señor es obtenido.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਸਹਜੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
Meditating on the Naam, night and day, they are easily and intuitively absorbed in the Naam.
अनदिनु नामु धिआईऐ सहजे नामि समाइ ॥
Habita en Él día a día, y sumérgete imperceptiblemente en el Nombre del Señor.
ਅੰਦਰੁ ਰਚੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਚ ਸਿਉ ਰਸਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ॥੧॥
ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ-ਮਿਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
Their inner beings are immersed in the True Lord; they sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||1||
अंदरु रचै हरि सच सिउ रसना हरि गुण गाइ ॥१॥
A tu ser interior entonces llega el Señor Verdadero y Su Alabanza se muestra en tus labios. (1)
ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਜਗੁ ਦੁਖੀਆ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਅਦਿਕ) ਹੋਰ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
O Siblings of Destiny, the world is in misery, engrossed in the love of duality.
भाई रे जगु दुखीआ दूजै भाइ ॥
Hermano, el mundo se encuentra en sufrimiento, pues vive engolosinado en la dualidad.
ਗੁਰ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਸੁਖੁ ਲਹਹਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ; (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣੇਂਗਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
In the Sanctuary of the Guru, peace is found, meditating on the Naam night and day. ||1||Pause||
गुर सरणाई सुखु लहहि अनदिनु नामु धिआइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Si uno busca la Protección del Guru, obtiene la Paz y medita en el Nombre del Señor para siempre. (1-Pausa)
ਸਾਚੇ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਲਾਗਈ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇ ॥
ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ) ਮੈਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗ ਸਕਦੀ, (ਉਸ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆਂ (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ) ਮਨ (ਭੀ) ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The truthful ones are not stained by filth. Meditating on the Lord, their minds remain pure.
साचे मैलु न लागई मनु निरमलु हरि धिआइ ॥
Los hombres de verdad no viven contaminados de su mente, pues ellos habitan sólo en el Señor.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਪਛਾਣੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।(ਜੇਹੜਾ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ) ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Gurmukhs realize the Word of the Shabad; they are immersed in the Ambrosial Nectar of the Lord's Name.
गुरमुखि सबदु पछाणीऐ हरि अंम्रित नामि समाइ ॥
A través del Guru, realizan la Palabra y funden su ser en el Néctar del Nombre del Señor.
ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡੁ ਬਲਾਇਆ ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਜਾਇ ॥੨॥
(ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਅਗਿਆਨਤਾ ਦਾ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
The Guru has lit the brilliant light of spiritual wisdom, and the darkness of ignorance has been dispelled. ||2||
गुर गिआनु प्रचंडु बलाइआ अगिआनु अंधेरा जाइ ॥२॥
La Sabiduría del Guru los ilumina con brillo y la oscuridad de su ignorancia es disipada. (2)
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮੈਲੇ ਮਲੁ ਭਰੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਵਿਕਾਰੁ ॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਮਲੀਨ-ਮਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਬੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹਉਮੈ ਤੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਦਾ ਰੋਗ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The self-willed manmukhs are polluted. They are filled with the pollution of egotism, wickedness and desire.
मनमुख मैले मलु भरे हउमै त्रिसना विकारु ॥
Los arrogantes Manmukjs son impuros y están infectados con la enfermedad del deseo.
ਬਿਨੁ ਸਬਦੈ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਉਤਰੈ ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮਹਿ ਹੋਇ ਖੁਆਰੁ ॥
ਇਹ ਮੈਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਤਰਦੀ, (ਸ਼ਬਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਸਹੇੜ ਕੇ ਖ਼ੁਆਰ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਜਨਮ-ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Without the Shabad, this pollution is not washed off; through the cycle of death and rebirth, they waste away in misery.
बिनु सबदै मैलु न उतरै मरि जंमहि होइ खुआरु ॥
La mugre no es lavada sin el Señor y ellos nacen sólo para morir como piltrafas.
ਧਾਤੁਰ ਬਾਜੀ ਪਲਚਿ ਰਹੇ ਨਾ ਉਰਵਾਰੁ ਨ ਪਾਰੁ ॥੩॥
ਉਹ ਇਸ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਜਗਤ-ਖੇਡ ਵਿਚ ਫਸੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਇਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਹ ਉਰਲਾ ਬੰਨਾ ਲੱਭਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਾਹ ਪਾਰਲਾ ਬੰਨਾ ॥੩॥
Engrossed in this transitory drama, they are not at home in either this world or the next. ||3||
धातुर बाजी पलचि रहे ना उरवारु न पारु ॥३॥
Su deporte es la droga de la ilusión. No pertenecen ni a este mundo, ni al siguiente. (3)
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਪ ਤਪ ਸੰਜਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਬਚਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
For the Gurmukh, the love of the Name of the Lord is chanting, deep meditation and self-discipline.
गुरमुखि जप तप संजमी हरि कै नामि पिआरु ॥
Los entonados en el Guru están dedicados a la contemplación y a la austeridad, conteniendo sus deseos, aman el Nombre del Señor.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਏਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾਰੁ ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Gurmukh meditates forever on the Name of the One Creator Lord.
गुरमुखि सदा धिआईऐ एकु नामु करतारु ॥
Ellos cantan el Nombre del Creador, el Uno.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਸਭਨਾ ਜੀਆ ਕਾ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥੪॥੭॥੪੦॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਹੀ) ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ) ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ (ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ) ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੭॥੪੦॥
O Nanak, meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the Support of all beings. ||4||7||40||
नानक नामु धिआईऐ सभना जीआ का आधारु ॥४॥७॥४०॥
Dice Nanak, deja que el Nombre de Dios habite en tu mente, pues sólo Dios es el Soporte de todo. (4-7-40)

ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਵਿਆਪਿਆ ਬੈਰਾਗੁ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਨਾਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਨਾਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ ਉਪਰਾਮਤਾ।
The self-willed manmukhs are engrossed in emotional attachment; they are not balanced or detached.
मनमुखु मोहि विआपिआ बैरागु उदासी न होइ ॥
El arrogante Manmukj está ofuscado en su apego al mundo, no puede practicar ni el desapego ni la renunciación.
ਸਬਦੁ ਨ ਚੀਨੈ ਸਦਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਪਤਿ ਖੋਇ ॥
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਦਾ, (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਸਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ (ਘੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ) ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਗਵਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
They do not comprehend the Word of the Shabad. They suffer in pain forever, and lose their honor in the Court of the Lord.
सबदु न चीनै सदा दुखु हरि दरगह पति खोइ ॥
Él no realiza la palabra, se acongoja todo el tiempo y pierde su honor en la Corte del Señor.
ਹਉਮੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਖੋਈਐ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥
ਪਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਤੁਰਿਆਂ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
The Gurmukhs shed their ego; attuned to the Naam, they find peace. ||1||
हउमै गुरमुखि खोईऐ नामि रते सुखु होइ ॥१॥
Los Gurmukjs hacen a un lado su ego negativo, pues se abandonan en el Nombre del Señor y obtienen la Paz. (1)
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹੀ ਨਿਤ ਆਸਾ ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! (ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਤਾਂ) ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਸਦਾ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ) ਆਸ ਭਰੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
O my mind, day and night, you are always full of wishful hopes.
मेरे मन अहिनिसि पूरि रही नित आसा ॥
Oh mente mía, el deseo te engaña noche y día.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਮੋਹੁ ਪਰਜਲੈ ਘਰ ਹੀ ਮਾਹਿ ਉਦਾਸਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
(ਹੇ ਮਨ!) ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ (ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ) ਮੋਹ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੜ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ) ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ (ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ) ਉਪਰਾਮ ਹੋ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Serve the True Guru, and your emotional attachment shall be totally burnt away; remain detached within the home of your heart. ||1||Pause||
सतिगुरु सेवि मोहु परजलै घर ही माहि उदासा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sirve al Guru y quema tu apego para que puedas alcanzar la libertad en tu mismo hogar. (1-Pausa)
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਬਿਗਸੈ ਹਰਿ ਬੈਰਾਗੁ ਅਨੰਦੁ ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ) ਕਰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਖਿੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁਖ ਹੈ।
The Gurmukhs do good deeds and blossom forth; balanced and detached in the Lord, they are in ecstasy.
गुरमुखि करम कमावै बिगसै हरि बैरागु अनंदु ॥
Los que ven hacia Dios hacen el bien y florecen, pues el Amor a Dios es la renunciación que trae el Éxtasis.
ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਨਿਚੰਦੁ ॥
ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਹਉਮੈ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਬੇ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Night and day, they perform devotional worship, day and night; subduing their ego, they are carefree.
अहिनिसि भगति करे दिनु राती हउमै मारि निचंदु ॥
Ellos llaman al Señor noche y día, y calmando su ego, se liberan de sus preocupaciones.
ਵਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਸਤਿਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਹਜਿ ਅਨੰਦੁ ॥੨॥
ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ (ਟਿਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ) ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
By great good fortune, I found the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation; I have found the Lord, with intuitive ease and ecstasy. ||2||
वडै भागि सतिसंगति पाई हरि पाइआ सहजि अनंदु ॥२॥
Por una buena fortuna logré la Compañía de los Santos y obtuve al Señor en el Éxtasis del Equilibrio. (2)
ਸੋ ਸਾਧੂ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਸੋਈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਾਏ ॥
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਅਸਲ) ਸਾਧੂ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਹੈ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਵਸਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
That person is a Holy Saadhu, and a renouncer of the world, whose heart is filled with the Naam.
सो साधू बैरागी सोई हिरदै नामु वसाए ॥
El Santo, el Renunciante del mundo, es aquél, en cuyo corazón, habita el Nombre del Señor.
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲਾਗਿ ਨ ਤਾਮਸੁ ਮੂਲੇ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਏ ॥
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਲਖ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਅਸਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੀ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਗਵਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
His inner being is not touched by anger or dark energies at all; he has lost his selfishness and conceit.
अंतरि लागि न तामसु मूले विचहु आपु गवाए ॥
El enojo no toca su fibra, pues su ser está en calma.
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਿਖਾਲਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਆ ਅਘਾਏ ॥੩॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ (ਉਸਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ) ਵਿਖਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਉਹ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਰੱਜ ਕੇ ਪੀਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
The True Guru has revealed to him the Treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord; he drinks in the Sublime Essence of the Lord, and is satisfied. ||3||
नामु निधानु सतिगुरू दिखालिआ हरि रसु पीआ अघाए ॥३॥
El Tesoro del Nombre le es revelado a través del Verdadero Guru, y así bebe la Esencia de Dios que lo satisface plenamente. (3)
ਜਿਨਿ ਕਿਨੈ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤੀ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਬੈਰਾਗਿ ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਲੱਭਾ ਹੈ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਲੱਭਾ ਹੈ।
Whoever has found it, has done so in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. Through perfect good fortune, such balanced detachment is attained.
जिनि किनै पाइआ साधसंगती पूरै भागि बैरागि ॥
Quien sea que lo encontró, sólo lo hizo a través de la Compañía de los Santos; cuando el Destino de uno es despertado, logra la renunciación.
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਨ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਲਾਗਿ ॥
ਪਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ (ਬਾਹਰ ਜੰਗਲਾਂ ਅਦਿਕ ਵਿਚ) ਤੁਰੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ (ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ) ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੇ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹਉਮੈ (ਦੀ ਮੈਲ) ਲੱਗੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
The self-willed manmukhs wander around lost, but they do not know the True Guru. They are inwardly attached to egotism.
मनमुख फिरहि न जाणहि सतिगुरु हउमै अंदरि लागि ॥
El arrogante Manmukj vaga sin rumbo y no toma Conciencia del Guru Verdadero, pues se apega a su ego.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਰੰਗਾਏ ਬਿਨੁ ਭੈ ਕੇਹੀ ਲਾਗਿ ॥੪॥੮॥੪੧॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਪਰ ਪਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਪੱਕਾ ਰੰਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਦਾ, ਤੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ) ਡਰ-ਅਦਬ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਪਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦੀ ॥੪॥੮॥੪੧॥
O Nanak, those who are attuned to the Shabad are dyed in the Color of the Lord's Name. Without the Fear of God, how can they retain this Color? ||4||8||41||
नानक सबदि रते हरि नामि रंगाए बिनु भै केही लागि ॥४॥८॥४१॥
Los que están inmersos en la Palabra del Shabd, son teñidos con el Nombre del Señor, pero sin la Reverencia al Señor, ¿cómo puede él ser amado? (4-8-41)

सिरीरागु महला ३ ॥
Siri Rag, Mejl Guru Amar Das, Tercer Canal Divino.
ਘਰ ਹੀ ਸਉਦਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਭ ਵਥੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
(ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰੂਪ) ਸਾਰਾ (ਉੱਤਮ) ਪਦਾਰਥ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਹੈ, (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ) ਇਹ ਸੌਦਾ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹੀ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Within the home of your own inner being, the merchandise is obtained. All commodities are within.
घर ही सउदा पाईऐ अंतरि सभ वथु होइ ॥
En el hogar está la Mercancía, en tu ser está el Capital, oh comerciante.
ਖਿਨੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਲੀਐ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਵੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ) ਸੁਆਸ ਸੁਆਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Each and every moment, dwell on the Naam, the Name of the Lord; the Gurmukhs obtain it.
खिनु खिनु नामु समालीऐ गुरमुखि पावै कोइ ॥
Nombre del Señor en todo momento, pero sólo los que voltean hacia el Señor lo obtienen.
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਅਖੁਟੁ ਹੈ ਵਡਭਾਗਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਕਦੀ ਮੁੱਕਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ) (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਕਦੇ ਮੁੱਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
The Treasure of the Naam is inexhaustible. By great good fortune, it is obtained. ||1||
नामु निधानु अखुटु है वडभागि परापति होइ ॥१॥
El Tesoro del Nombre del Señor es perenne pero sólo los hombres de Destino lo obtienen.(1)
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਤਜਿ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹਉਮੈ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੁ ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਹ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਹਉਮੈ ਤੇ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ।
O my mind, give up slander, egotism and arrogance.
मेरे मन तजि निंदा हउमै अहंकारु ॥
Oh mi mente deja la calumnia, el egoísmo y la arrogancia.
