ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀਉ ਕਾ ॥ ਏਕੁ ਸੁਆਨੁ ਕੈ ਘਰਿ ਗਾਵਣਾ ॥

सिरीरागु कबीर जीउ का ॥ एकु सुआनु कै घरि गावणा ॥

ਜਨਨੀ ਜਾਨਤ ਸੁਤੁ ਬਡਾ ਹੋਤੁ ਹੈ ਇਤਨਾ ਕੁ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਜਿ ਦਿਨ ਦਿਨ ਅਵਧ ਘਟਤੁ ਹੈ ॥
ਮਾਂ ਸਮਝਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਏਨੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੀ ਕਿ ਜਿਉਂ ਜਿਉਂ ਦਿਨ ਬੀਤ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਘਟ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
The mother thinks that her son is growing up; she does not understand that, day by day, his life is diminishing.
जननी जानत सुतु बडा होतु है इतना कु न जानै जि दिन दिन अवध घटतु है ॥
La madre piensa orgullosamente que su hijo está creciendo. Ella no piensa que en la misma medida que crece, sus días se van acabando.
ਮੋਰ ਮੋਰ ਕਰਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਲਾਡੁ ਧਰਿ ਪੇਖਤ ਹੀ ਜਮਰਾਉ ਹਸੈ ॥੧॥
ਉਹ ਇਉਂ ਆਖਦੀ ਹੈ "ਇਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ" (ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ) ਬੜਾ ਲਾਡ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ; (ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਮਮਤਾ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਜਮਰਾਜ ਹੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
Calling him, "Mine, mine", she fondles him lovingly, while the Messenger of Death looks on and laughs. ||1||
मोर मोर करि अधिक लाडु धरि पेखत ही जमराउ हसै ॥१॥
Entre más lo trate de poseer, más el ángel de la muerte se ríe. (1)
ਐਸਾ ਤੈਂ ਜਗੁ ਭਰਮਿ ਲਾਇਆ ॥
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
You have misled the world so deeply in doubt.
ऐसा तैं जगु भरमि लाइआ ॥
Tú, oh Señor, has arrojado al mundo a la duda.
ਕੈਸੇ ਬੂਝੈ ਜਬ ਮੋਹਿਆ ਹੈ ਮਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਠੱਗੇ ਹੋਏ (ਜੀਵ) ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ (ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਹਾਂ) ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
How can people understand You, when they are entranced by Maya? ||1||Pause||
कैसे बूझै जब मोहिआ है माइआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
¿Cómo entonces uno puede realizarse cuando uno está tan seducido por Maya?(1-Pausa)
ਕਹਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਛੋਡਿ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਰਸ ਇਤੁ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਨਿਹਚਉ ਮਰਣਾ ॥
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ! ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਚਸਕੇ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਹ, ਇਹਨਾਂ ਰਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਹਿਣੇ ਬੈਠਿਆਂ ਜ਼ਰਰੂ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਆਤਮਾ ਮੁਰਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ);
Says Kabeer, give up the pleasures of corruption, or else you will surely die of them.
कहत कबीर छोडि बिखिआ रस इतु संगति निहचउ मरणा ॥
Dice Kabir, abandona el Amor por el veneno; con él la muerte es segura.
ਰਮਈਆ ਜਪਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਅਨਤ ਜੀਵਣ ਬਾਣੀ ਇਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਭਵ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਣਾ ॥੨॥
(ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਭਜਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਇਹ) ਬਾਣੀ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਅਟੱਲ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦੀ ਹੈ; ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਰ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
Meditate on the Lord, O mortal being, through the Word of His Bani; you shall be blessed with eternal life. In this way, shall you cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ||2||
रमईआ जपहु प्राणी अनत जीवण बाणी इन बिधि भव सागरु तरणा ॥२॥
Oh ser viviente, llama al Señor, Quien prevalece en todo, y Cuya Palabra te dará Vida para siempre, llevándote a través del mar de la existencia.
ਜਾਂ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਲਾਗੈ ਭਾਉ ॥
(ਪਰ) ਜੇ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ (ਜੀਵ ਦਾ) ਪਿਆਰ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
As it pleases Him, people embrace love for the Lord,
जां तिसु भावै ता लागै भाउ ॥
Cuando el Señor lo desea, uno tiene confianza en Él,
ਭਰਮੁ ਭੁਲਾਵਾ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਜਾਇ ॥
ਤੇ (ਇਸ ਦੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਭਰਮ ਤੇ ਭੁਲੇਖਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
and doubt and delusion are dispelled from within.
भरमु भुलावा विचहु जाइ ॥
y su duda y vacilación son aniquiladas.
ਉਪਜੈ ਸਹਜੁ ਗਿਆਨ ਮਤਿ ਜਾਗੈ ॥
(ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਗਿਆਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਬੁੱਧ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
Intuitive peace and poise well up within, and the intellect is awakened to spiritual wisdom.
उपजै सहजु गिआन मति जागै ॥
Uno logra sincronizar su mente y así despertar a la Sabiduría Divina,
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੈ ॥੩॥
ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਜੁੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
By Guru's Grace, the inner being is touched by the Lord's Love. ||3||
गुर प्रसादि अंतरि लिव लागै ॥३॥
y, por la Gracia del Guru, entra en Comunión con el Señor. (3)
ਇਤੁ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਮਰਣਾ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜਿਆਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ,
In this association, there is no death.
इतु संगति नाही मरणा ॥
En ese Estado, no existe la muerte;
ਹੁਕਮੁ ਪਛਾਣਿ ਤਾ ਖਸਮੈ ਮਿਲਣਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ ॥
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਿਉਂ ਜਿਉਂ ਜੀਵ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ) ਹੁਕਮ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ॥
Recognizing the Hukam of His Command, you shall meet with your Lord and Master. ||1||Second Pause||
हुकमु पछाणि ता खसमै मिलणा ॥१॥ रहाउ दूजा ॥
entregándose a Su Voluntad, uno se une con el Señor Dios. (1-Pausa)

ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਮਨਿ ਆਗਲੜਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਜਰਾ ਮਰਣੁ ਭਉ ਵਿਸਰਿ ਗਇਆ ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ! ਤੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਬਹੁਤ (ਜ਼ੋਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਹੈ; ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬੁਢੇਪਾ ਆਉਣਾ ਹੈ, ਮੌਤ ਆਉਣੀ ਹੈ।
The mind is totally attached to Maya; the mortal has forgotten his fear of old age and death.
माइआ मोहु मनि आगलड़ा प्राणी जरा मरणु भउ विसरि गइआ ॥
Dentro de uno está el amor inmenso a Maya; y uno se olvida de la vejez y de la muerte.
ਕੁਟੰਬੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਬਿਗਸਹਿ ਕਮਲਾ ਜਿਉ ਪਰ ਘਰਿ ਜੋਹਹਿ ਕਪਟ ਨਰਾ ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਖੋਟੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਇਉਂ ਖਿੜਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਉਲ ਫੁੱਲ (ਸੂਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ), ਤੂੰ ਪਰਾਏ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਤੱਕਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥
Gazing upon his family, he blossoms forth like the lotus flower; the deceitful person watches and covets the homes of others. ||1||
कुटंबु देखि बिगसहि कमला जिउ पर घरि जोहहि कपट नरा ॥१॥
En la compañía y confianza de sus parientes, el Manmukj insaciable pone su mirada en la pareja de otro. (1)
ਦੂੜਾ ਆਇਓਹਿ ਜਮਹਿ ਤਣਾ ॥
ਜਮਦੂਤ ਵਗਾਤੱਗ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ,
When the powerful Messenger of Death comes,
दूड़ा आइओहि जमहि तणा ॥
Pero con la edad, el hijo de la muerte viene con su terrible mensaje,
ਤਿਨ ਆਗਲੜੈ ਮੈ ਰਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਮ੍ਹਣੇ ਮੈਥੋਂ (ਪਲ ਮਾਤ੍ਰ ਭੀ) ਅਟਕਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕੇਗਾ।
no one can stand against his awesome power.
तिन आगलड़ै मै रहणु न जाइ ॥
Y uno se siente impotente ante ella.
ਕੋਈ ਕੋਈ ਸਾਜਣੁ ਆਇ ਕਹੈ ॥
ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ (ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਆ ਕੇ ਇਉਂ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ-
Rare, very rare, is that friend who comes and says,
कोई कोई साजणु आइ कहै ॥
Excepcional es aquél que está listo para decir:
ਮਿਲੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੀਠੁਲਾ ਲੈ ਬਾਹੜੀ ਵਲਾਇ ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ, ਗਲਵੱਕੜੀ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਮਿਲ।
"O my Beloved, take me into Your Embrace!
मिलु मेरे बीठुला लै बाहड़ी वलाइ ॥
“Tómame, mi Señor, en Tu Abrazo,
ਮਿਲੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਰਮਈਆ ਮੈ ਲੇਹਿ ਛਡਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ, ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਤੋਂ) ਛਡਾ ਲੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
O my Lord, please save me!" ||1||Pause||
मिलु मेरे रमईआ मै लेहि छडाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
ven por mí y llévame”. (1-Pausa)
ਅਨਿਕ ਅਨਿਕ ਭੋਗ ਰਾਜ ਬਿਸਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਾਗਰ ਪੈ ਅਮਰੁ ਭਇਆ ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ! ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਭੋਗਾਂ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਤੂੰ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ) ਭੁਲਾ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈਂ, (ਤੂੰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ) ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ (ਮੈਂ) ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਾਂਗਾ।
Indulging in all sorts of princely pleasures, O mortal, you have forgotten God; you have fallen into the world-ocean, and you think that you have become immortal.
अनिक अनिक भोग राज बिसरे प्राणी संसार सागर पै अमरु भइआ ॥
Los demás están perdidos en los placeres, se olvidan del Señor y toman la actitud de que vivirán para siempre.
ਮਾਇਆ ਮੂਠਾ ਚੇਤਸਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਓ ਆਲਸੀਆ ॥੨॥
ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਠੱਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਤੂੰ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ) ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ। ਹੇ ਆਲਸੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਜਨਮ ਅਜਾਈਂ ਗਵਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
Cheated and plundered by Maya, you do not think of God, and you waste your life in laziness. ||2||
माइआ मूठा चेतसि नाही जनमु गवाइओ आलसीआ ॥२॥
Engañados por Maya, no recuerdan al Señor, desperdician sus vidas en frivolidades.(2)
ਬਿਖਮ ਘੋਰ ਪੰਥਿ ਚਾਲਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਰਵਿ ਸਸਿ ਤਹ ਨ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸੰ ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ! ਤੂੰ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ) ਅਜਿਹੇ ਡਾਢੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਰਾਹੇ ਤੁਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਨਾਹ ਸੂਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਦਖ਼ਲ ਹੈ, ਨਾਹ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ (ਭਾਵ, ਜਿਥੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨਾਹ ਦਿਨੇ ਸੁਰਤ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਨਾਹ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ)।
The path you must walk is treacherous and terrifying, O mortal; neither the sun nor the moon shine there.
बिखम घोर पंथि चालणा प्राणी रवि ससि तह न प्रवेसं ॥
Oh hombre, te tocará un sendero duro y terrible en donde no hay ni sol ni luna. Cuando uno deja el mundo,
ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਤਬ ਬਿਸਰਿ ਗਇਆ ਜਾਂ ਤਜੀਅਲੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੰ ॥੩॥
ਜਦੋਂ (ਮਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ) ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡਣ ਲੱਗੋਂ, ਤਦੋਂ ਤਾਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਮੋਹ (ਭਾਵ, ਸੰਬੰਧ ਅਵੱਸੋਂ) ਛੱਡੇਂਗਾ ਹੀ (ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁਣੇ ਹੀ ਛੱਡਦਾ?) ॥੩॥
Your emotional attachment to Maya will be forgotten, when you have to leave this world. ||3||
माइआ मोहु तब बिसरि गइआ जां तजीअले संसारं ॥३॥
¿Dónde se quedará entonces el amor a Maya? (3)
ਆਜੁ ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੁ ਭਇਆ ਹੈ ਪੇਖੀਅਲੇ ਧਰਮਰਾਓ ॥
(ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-) ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ (ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ ਫਸੇ ਰਿਹਾਂ) ਧਰਮਰਾਜ (ਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ) ਵੇਖਣਾ ਪਏਗਾ;
Today, it became clear to my mind that the Righteous Judge of Dharma is watching us.
आजु मेरै मनि प्रगटु भइआ है पेखीअले धरमराओ ॥
Hoy en mi mente, vi al Señor de la Ley.
ਤਹ ਕਰ ਦਲ ਕਰਨਿ ਮਹਾਬਲੀ ਤਿਨ ਆਗਲੜੈ ਮੈ ਰਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥੪॥
ਉਥੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਬਲਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਜਮਦੂਤ) ਦਲ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹਨ; ਮੈਥੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕੋਈ ਹੀਲ-ਹੁਜਤਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕੇਗੀ ॥੪॥
His messengers, with their awesome power, crush people between their hands; I cannot stand against them. ||4||
तह कर दल करनि महाबली तिन आगलड़ै मै रहणु न जाइ ॥४॥
Sus mensajeros me ahogaron con sus manos poderosas y no podía resistirlos. (4)
ਜੇ ਕੋ ਮੂੰ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਕਰਤੁ ਹੈ ਤਾ ਵਣਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਣਿ ਰਤੜਾ ਨਾਰਾਇਣਾ ॥
(ਉਂਞ ਤਾਂ) ਹੇ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ! (ਤੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ, ਪਰ) ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ (ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਦਿੱਸਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
If someone is going to teach me something, let it be that the Lord is pervading the forests and fields.
जे को मूं उपदेसु करतु है ता वणि त्रिणि रतड़ा नाराइणा ॥
Si alguien me convierte en sabio, vería al Señor prevaleciendo en los bosques y en los claros.
ਐ ਜੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਸਭ ਕਿਛੁ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਬਦਤਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨੁ ਰਾਮਈਆ ॥੫॥੨॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਮ ਜੀ! ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਜਾਣੇ-ਮੇਰੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨ ਦੀ ਇਹੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੫॥੨॥
O Dear Lord, You Yourself know everything; so prays Trilochan, Lord. ||5||2||
ऐ जी तूं आपे सभ किछु जाणदा बदति त्रिलोचनु रामईआ ॥५॥२॥
Dice Trilochan, eres Omnisciente y Omnipresente, sí, Tú, mi Señor.(5-2)
ਸ੍ਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਭਗਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀਉ ਕਾ ॥

स्रीरागु भगत कबीर जीउ का ॥

ਅਚਰਜ ਏਕੁ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਰੇ ਪੰਡੀਆ ਅਬ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਹਨੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
ਹੇ ਪੰਡਤ! ਉਸ ਅਚਰਜ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਕੌਤਕ ਸੁਣੋ (ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਜੋ) ਐਸ ਵੇਲੇ (ਜਿਉਂ ਕਾ ਤਿਉਂ) ਕਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
Listen, O religious scholar: the One Lord alone is Wondrous; no one can describe Him.
अचरज एकु सुनहु रे पंडीआ अब किछु कहनु न जाई ॥
Escucha, oh Pandit, el Único Señor es Maravilloso; nadie puede relatar Su Gloria.
ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਗਣ ਗੰਧ੍ਰਬ ਜਿਨਿ ਮੋਹੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣ ਮੇਖੁਲੀ ਲਾਈ ॥੧॥
ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ) ਤੜਾਗੀ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ, ਮਨੁੱਖ, ਗਣ ਅਤੇ ਗੰਧਰਬਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹ ਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
He fascinates the angels, the celestial singers and the heavenly musicians; he has strung the three worlds upon His Thread. ||1||
सुरि नर गण गंध्रब जिनि मोहे त्रिभवण मेखुली लाई ॥१॥
Dios ha atraído a los hombres angelicales, a los devotos de los dioses, a cantantes celestiales, y ha amarrado a los tres mundos con la cuerda de Su Ley. (1)
ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਮ ਅਨਹਦ ਕਿੰਗੁਰੀ ਬਾਜੈ ॥
(ਉਹ ਅਚਰਜ ਕੌਤਕ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਇੱਕ-ਰਸ ਤਾਰ ਵੱਜ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ,
The Unstruck Melody of the Sovereign Lord's Harp vibrates;
राजा राम अनहद किंगुरी बाजै ॥
Dentro de mí resuena la Melodía Divina de la Flauta del Señor;
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਦਿਸਟਿ ਨਾਦ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼-ਰੂਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਵ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
by His Glance of Grace, we are lovingly attuned to the Sound-current of the Naad. ||1||Pause||
जा की दिसटि नाद लिव लागै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
sí, en Su Presencia la mente es entonada en el Sonido de la Melodía Celestial. (1-Pausa)
ਭਾਠੀ ਗਗਨੁ ਸਿੰਙਿਆ ਅਰੁ ਚੁੰਙਿਆ ਕਨਕ ਕਲਸ ਇਕੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
ਮੇਰਾ ਦਿਮਾਗ਼ ਭੱਠੀ ਬਣਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਭਾਵ, ਸੁਰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ); ਮੰਦੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਸੰਕੋਚ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਵਾਧੂ ਪਾਣੀ ਰੱਦ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ; ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰਨਾ, ਮਾਨੋ, (ਨਾਮ ਰੂਪ) ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਕੱਢਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ; ਤੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹਿਰਦਾ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਮੱਟ ਹੈ; ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
The Tenth Gate of my crown chakra is the distilling fire, and the channels of the Ida and Pingala are the funnels, to pour in and empty out the golden vat.
भाठी गगनु सिंङिआ अरु चुंङिआ कनक कलस इकु पाइआ ॥
La Décima Puerta es la caldera y tiene dos conductos, uno para verter y otro para sacar.
ਤਿਸੁ ਮਹਿ ਧਾਰ ਚੁਐ ਅਤਿ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਰਸ ਮਹਿ ਰਸਨ ਚੁਆਇਆ ॥੨॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਨਾਮ- ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੀ) ਬੜੀ ਸਾਫ਼ ਧਾਰ ਚੋ ਚੋ ਕੇ ਪੈ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਰਸਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਆਦਲਾ (ਨਾਮ) ਰਸ ਖਿੱਚਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
Into that vat, there trickles a gentle stream of the most sublime and pure essence of all distilled essences. ||2||
तिसु महि धार चुऐ अति निरमल रस महि रसन चुआइआ ॥२॥
Y de ahí gotea al recipiente dorado de mi corazón el Néctar Ambrosial. (2)
ਏਕ ਜੁ ਬਾਤ ਅਨੂਪ ਬਨੀ ਹੈ ਪਵਨ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਸਾਜਿਆ ॥
ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਸੁਆਦਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਬਣ ਪਈ ਹੈ (ਉਹ ਇਹ) ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਸੁਆਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਨਾਮ-ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪੀਣ ਲਈ) ਪਿਆਲਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਸੁਆਸ ਸੁਆਸ ਜਪ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ);
Something wonderful has happened-the breath has become the cup.
एक जु बात अनूप बनी है पवन पिआला साजिआ ॥
Y mira, maravilla de maravillas, que la respiración sirve como copa para tomármelo.
ਤੀਨਿ ਭਵਨ ਮਹਿ ਏਕੋ ਜੋਗੀ ਕਹਹੁ ਕਵਨੁ ਹੈ ਰਾਜਾ ॥੩॥
(ਇਸ ਸੁਆਸ ਸੁਆਸ ਜਪਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਵਿਆਪਕ (ਦਿੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ)। ਦੱਸ, (ਹੇ ਪੰਡਿਤ! ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਉਸ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਕੌਣ ਵੱਡਾ (ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ) ਹੈ? ॥੩॥
In all the three worlds, such a Yogi is unique. What king can compare to him? ||3||
तीनि भवन महि एको जोगी कहहु कवनु है राजा ॥३॥
Extraordinario es el Yogui que logra esto; y si lo logra, ni siquiera un rey alcanza su gloria. (3)
ਐਸੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਆ ਪੁਰਖੋਤਮ ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥
(ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਪਈ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਬੀਰ (ਹੁਣ) ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
This spiritual wisdom of God, the Supreme Soul, has illuminated my being. Says Kabeer, I am attuned to His Love.
ऐसे गिआन प्रगटिआ पुरखोतम कहु कबीर रंगि राता ॥
Dice Kabir, tal Luz obtuve del Señor en las alturas, que me llenó con Su Amor.
ਅਉਰ ਦੁਨੀ ਸਭ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਨੀ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਨ ਮਾਤਾ ॥੪॥੩॥
ਕਿ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਤਾਂ ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਵਿਚ ਭੁੱਲਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ (ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ) ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਰਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੋਮੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩॥
All the rest of the world is deluded by doubt, while my mind is intoxicated with the Sublime Essence of the Lord. ||4||3||
अउर दुनी सभ भरमि भुलानी मनु राम रसाइन माता ॥४॥३॥
Y mientras que el resto del mundo está engañado por la ilusión, mi mente está imbuida en la realidad de lo Real. (4-3)
ਸ੍ਰੀਰਾਗ ਬਾਣੀ ਭਗਤ ਬੇਣੀ ਜੀਉ ਕੀ ॥ ਪਹਰਿਆ ਕੈ ਘਰਿ ਗਾਵਣਾ ॥
ਰਾਗ ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਗਤ ਬੇਣੀ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ। ਇਹ 'ਪਹਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰ' ??? (ਦੀ ਧੁਨ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ) ਗਉਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।

Un Dios Creador Universal, por la Gracia del Verdadero Guru.
ਰੇ ਨਰ ਗਰਭ ਕੁੰਡਲ ਜਬ ਆਛਤ ਉਰਧ ਧਿਆਨ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗਾ ॥
ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ! ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੇਟ ਵਿਚ ਸੈਂ, ਤਦੋਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਉੱਚੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ) ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਸੀ;
O man, when you were coiled in the cradle of the womb, upside-down, you were absorbed in meditation.
रे नर गरभ कुंडल जब आछत उरध धिआन लिव लागा ॥
Oh hombre, te fuiste a meter en el vientre, y parado de cabeza ahí meditabas.
ਮਿਰਤਕ ਪਿੰਡਿ ਪਦ ਮਦ ਨਾ ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਏਕੁ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਸੁ ਨਾਗਾ ॥
(ਤੈਨੂੰ ਤਦੋਂ) ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਹੋਂਦ ਦਾ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਦਿਨੇ ਰਾਤ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ (ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਸੈਂ), (ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਅਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਅਣਹੋਂਦ ਸੀ।
You took no pride in your perishable body; night and day were all the same to you-you lived unknowing, in the silence of the void.
मिरतक पिंडि पद मद ना अहिनिसि एकु अगिआन सु नागा ॥
Tu cuerpo estaba inerte y no tenías orgullo de ser hombre; estabas en el vacío, y el día era igual a la noche.
ਤੇ ਦਿਨ ਸੰਮਲੁ ਕਸਟ ਮਹਾ ਦੁਖ ਅਬ ਚਿਤੁ ਅਧਿਕ ਪਸਾਰਿਆ ॥
(ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ!) ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਹੁਣ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰ (ਤਦੋਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ) ਬੜੇ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਤੇ ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ਾਂ ਸਨ; ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਜੰਜਾਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਬਹੁਤ ਫਸਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ।
Remember the terrible pain and suffering of those days, now that you have spread out the net of your consciousness far and wide.
ते दिन संमलु कसट महा दुख अब चितु अधिक पसारिआ ॥
Recuerda esos días de tu gran aflicción, ahora que has extendido la red de tu mente a todas partes.
ਗਰਭ ਛੋਡਿ ਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਮੰਡਲ ਆਇਆ ਤਉ ਨਰਹਰਿ ਮਨਹੁ ਬਿਸਾਰਿਆ ॥੧॥
ਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੇਟ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਦਾ ਤੂੰ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਆਇਆ ਹੈਂ, ਤਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
Leaving the womb, you entered this mortal world; you have forgotten the Lord from your mind. ||1||
गरभ छोडि म्रित मंडल आइआ तउ नरहरि मनहु बिसारिआ ॥१॥
Saliendo del vientre, entraste al mundo para relacionarte con todos los hombres y te olvidaste del Señor de todos ellos. (1)
ਫਿਰਿ ਪਛੁਤਾਵਹਿਗਾ ਮੂੜਿਆ ਤੂੰ ਕਵਨ ਕੁਮਤਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਲਾਗਾ ॥
ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ! ਤੂੰ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਮੱਤੇ, ਕਿਹੜੇ ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈਂ? (ਸਮਾ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਗਵਾ ਕੇ) ਫੇਰ ਹੱਥ ਮਲੇਂਗਾ।
Later, you will regret and repent-you fool! Why are you engrossed in evil-mindedness and skepticism?
फिरि पछुतावहिगा मूड़िआ तूं कवन कुमति भ्रमि लागा ॥
Te vas a arrepentir de seguro, oh tonto, ¿por qué entonces te metes ciegamente en el vicio y en la ilusión?
ਚੇਤਿ ਰਾਮੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਮ ਪੁਰਿ ਜਾਹਿਗਾ ਜਨੁ ਬਿਚਰੈ ਅਨਰਾਧਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਜਮਪੁਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਧੱਕਿਆ ਜਾਏਂਗਾ, (ਤੂੰ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ) ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਅਮੋੜ ਬੰਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Think of the Lord, or else you shall be led to the City of Death. Why are you wandering around, out of control? ||1||Pause||
चेति रामु नाही जम पुरि जाहिगा जनु बिचरै अनराधा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Recuerda al Señor, y si no, el ángel de la muerte te llevará de seguro. Oh hombre, ¿por qué estás así de desquiciado? (1-Pausa)
ਬਾਲ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਚਿੰਦ ਰਸ ਲਾਗਾ ਖਿਨੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਬਿਆਪੈ ॥
(ਪਹਿਲਾਂ) ਤੂੰ ਬਾਲਪੁਣੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਤੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗਾ ਰਿਹਾ, ਤੇ ਸਦਾ (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੀ) ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਿਆ ਰਿਹਾ;
You play like a child, craving sweets; moment by moment, you become more entangled in emotional attachment.
बाल बिनोद चिंद रस लागा खिनु खिनु मोहि बिआपै ॥
Como niño juegas y sigues a cada momento tu antojo por la lujuria y otros placeres.
ਰਸੁ ਮਿਸੁ ਮੇਧੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਬਿਖੁ ਚਾਖੀ ਤਉ ਪੰਚ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੁ ਸੰਤਾਪੈ ॥
(ਹੁਣ ਜਦੋਂ) ਤੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ-ਰੂਪ ਵਿਹੁ ਨੂੰ ਰਸਦਾਇਕ ਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਚੱਖਿਆ, ਤਦੋਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪੰਜੇ (ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਸਤਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
Tasting good and bad, you eat nectar and then poison, and then the five passions appear and torture you.
रसु मिसु मेधु अंम्रितु बिखु चाखी तउ पंच प्रगटु संतापै ॥
Pruebas lo bueno y lo malo, lo dulce y lo agrio, el vino y las carnes, y atrapado en la tierra de los cinco demonios, aúllas de dolor.
ਜਪੁ ਤਪੁ ਸੰਜਮੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਸੁਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਮਤਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ ॥
ਜਪ ਤਪ ਸੰਜਮ ਤੇ ਪੁੰਨ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਬੁੱਧ ਤੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈਂ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ।
Abandoning meditation, penance and self-restraint, and the wisdom of good actions, you do not worship and adore the Lord's Name.
जपु तपु संजमु छोडि सुक्रित मति राम नामु न अराधिआ ॥
Abandonaste la meditación, el servicio de Devoción, la continencia y las buenas acciones y te olvidaste completamente del Nombre del Señor.
ਉਛਲਿਆ ਕਾਮੁ ਕਾਲ ਮਤਿ ਲਾਗੀ ਤਉ ਆਨਿ ਸਕਤਿ ਗਲਿ ਬਾਂਧਿਆ ॥੨॥
(ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਕਾਮ ਜ਼ੋਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ, ਭੈੜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, (ਕਾਮਾਤੁਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਤੂੰ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆ ਗਲ ਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
You are overflowing with sexual desire, and your intellect is stained with darkness; you are held in the grip of Shakti's power. ||2||
उछलिआ कामु काल मति लागी तउ आनि सकति गलि बांधिआ ॥२॥
La lujuria llegó a ti, tu razón se apagó, y al rato estabas abrazando a la mujer de otro. (2)
ਤਰੁਣ ਤੇਜੁ ਪਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਅ ਮੁਖੁ ਜੋਹਹਿ ਸਰੁ ਅਪਸਰੁ ਨ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ॥
(ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਜੁਆਨੀ ਦਾ ਜੋਸ਼ ਹੈ, ਪਰਾਈਆ ਜ਼ਨਾਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੱਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਵੇਲਾ ਕੁਵੇਲਾ ਭੀ ਤੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ।
In the heat of youthful passion, you look with desire upon the faces of other men's wives; you do not distinguish between good and evil.
तरुण तेजु पर त्रिअ मुखु जोहहि सरु अपसरु न पछाणिआ ॥
En el calor de tu juventud, arrebataste la belleza de mujeres que no te correspondían, y no distinguías entre el bien y el mal.
ਉਨਮਤ ਕਾਮਿ ਮਹਾ ਬਿਖੁ ਭੂਲੈ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਨ ਪਛਾਨਿਆ ॥
ਹੇ ਕਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਹੋਏ ਹੋਏ! ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਬਲ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ ਭੁੱਲੇ ਹੋਏ! ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਹ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਪੁੰਨ ਕੀਹ ਹੈ।
Drunk with sexual desire and other great sins, you go astray, and do not distinguish between vice and virtue.
उनमत कामि महा बिखु भूलै पापु पुंनु न पछानिआ ॥
Intoxicado por la lujuria, la gran pasión del mortal, ni siquiera te enterabas de cuál era la virtud y cuál era el vicio.
ਸੁਤ ਸੰਪਤਿ ਦੇਖਿ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਗਰਬਿਆ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਤੇ ਖੋਇਆ ॥
ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਨ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ; ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈਂ।
Gazing upon your children and your property, your mind is proud and arrogant; you cast out the Lord from your heart.
सुत संपति देखि इहु मनु गरबिआ रामु रिदै ते खोइआ ॥
Orgulloso de tus hijos y de tu riqueza, arrojaste al Señor fuera de tu corazón. Calculabas la parte de tus herencias y en la lujuria y en la gula malgastaste tu vida.
ਅਵਰ ਮਰਤ ਮਾਇਆ ਮਨੁ ਤੋਲੇ ਤਉ ਭਗ ਮੁਖਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਵਿਗੋਇਆ ॥੩॥
ਹੋਰਨਾਂ (ਸੰਬੰਧੀਆਂ) ਦੇ ਮੋਇਆਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਜਾਚ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿ) ਕਿਤਨੀ ਕੁ ਮਾਇਆ (ਮਿਲੇਗੀ); ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਉੱਤਮ ਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ (ਮਨੁੱਖਾ) ਜਨਮ ਅਜਾਈਂ ਗਵਾ ਲਿਆ ॥੩॥
When others die, you measure your own wealth in your mind; you waste your life in the pleasures of the mouth and sexual organs. ||3||
अवर मरत माइआ मनु तोले तउ भग मुखि जनमु विगोइआ ॥३॥
. Calculabas la parte de tus herencias y en la lujuria y en la gula malgastaste tu vida. (3)
ਪੁੰਡਰ ਕੇਸ ਕੁਸਮ ਤੇ ਧਉਲੇ ਸਪਤ ਪਾਤਾਲ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
ਤੇਰੇ ਕੇਸ ਚਿੱਟੇ ਕੌਲ ਫੁੱਲ ਤੋਂ ਭੀ ਵਧੀਕ ਚਿੱਟੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਤੇਰੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ (ਡਾਢੀ ਮੱਧਮ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਮਾਨੋ) ਸਤਵੇਂ ਪਾਤਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Your hair is whiter than the jasmine flower, and your voice has grown feeble, as if it comes from the seventh underworld.
पुंडर केस कुसम ते धउले सपत पाताल की बाणी ॥
Tu cabello se tornó blanco, más blanco que las flores de jazmín y tu voz tan débil, que parece que procede del séptimo mundo inferior.
ਲੋਚਨ ਸ੍ਰਮਹਿ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਲ ਨਾਠੀ ਤਾ ਕਾਮੁ ਪਵਸਿ ਮਾਧਾਣੀ ॥
ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਸਿੰਮ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਤੇਰੀ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਬੁੱਧ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਕਾਮ (ਦੀ) ਮਧਾਣੀ (ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਪੈ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਅਜੇ ਭੀ ਕਾਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਜ਼ੋਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹਨ)।
Your eyes water, and your intellect and strength have left you; but still, your sexual desire churns and drives you on.
लोचन स्रमहि बुधि बल नाठी ता कामु पवसि माधाणी ॥
Cuando de tus ojos salen lágrimas, cuando tu fuerza y tu intelecto te fallan, las pasiones se agitan en ti.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਬਿਖੈ ਭਈ ਮਤਿ ਪਾਵਸਿ ਕਾਇਆ ਕਮਲੁ ਕੁਮਲਾਣਾ ॥
ਇਹਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਤੇਰੀ ਬੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਝੜੀ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਤੇਰਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਰੂਪ ਕੌਲ ਫੁੱਲ ਕੁਮਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
And so, your intellect has dried up through corruption, and the lotus flower of your body has wilted and withered.
ता ते बिखै भई मति पावसि काइआ कमलु कुमलाणा ॥
Así es que en el vicio, tu Alma se ha secado y la flor de loto del cuerpo se ha marchitado.
ਅਵਗਤਿ ਬਾਣਿ ਛੋਡਿ ਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਮੰਡਲਿ ਤਉ ਪਾਛੈ ਪਛੁਤਾਣਾ ॥੪॥
ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਛੱਡ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈਂ; (ਸਮਾ ਵਿਹਾ ਜਾਣ ਤੇ) ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਹੱਥ ਮਲੇਂਗਾ ॥੪॥
You have forsaken the Bani, the Word of the Immortal Lord, in this mortal world; in the end, you shall regret and repent. ||4||
अवगति बाणि छोडि म्रित मंडलि तउ पाछै पछुताणा ॥४॥
Rechazando la Palabra del Señor Inmortal en este mundo, oh tonto, te arrepientes (4)
ਨਿਕੁਟੀ ਦੇਹ ਦੇਖਿ ਧੁਨਿ ਉਪਜੈ ਮਾਨ ਕਰਤ ਨਹੀ ਬੂਝੈ ॥
ਨਿੱਕੇ ਨਿੱਕੇ ਬਾਲ (ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪੋਤਰੇ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲਈ) ਮੋਹ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ (ਇਹ) ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ (ਕਿ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਛੱਡ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੈ)।
Gazing upon the tiny bodies of your children, love has welled up within your heart; you are proud of them, but you do not understand.
निकुटी देह देखि धुनि उपजै मान करत नही बूझै ॥
Viendo a los niños y jóvenes, el amor nació en tu mente y pensaste con orgullo en ellos, pero no entiendes al Señor,
ਲਾਲਚੁ ਕਰੈ ਜੀਵਨ ਪਦ ਕਾਰਨ ਲੋਚਨ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਸੂਝੈ ॥
ਅੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਦਿੱਸਣੋਂ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਫਿਰ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਹੋਰ ਜੀਊਣ ਲਈ ਲਾਲਚ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
You long for the dignity of a long life, but your eyes can no longer see anything.
लालचु करै जीवन पद कारन लोचन कछू न सूझै ॥
y aun cuando tus ojos ya no te funcionaban, querías tener más vida y más comodidades.
ਥਾਕਾ ਤੇਜੁ ਉਡਿਆ ਮਨੁ ਪੰਖੀ ਘਰਿ ਆਂਗਨਿ ਨ ਸੁਖਾਈ ॥
(ਆਖ਼ਰ) ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਬਲ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ) ਜੀਵ ਪੰਛੀ (ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਉੱਡ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤਦੋਂ ਮੁਰਦਾ ਦੇਹ) ਘਰ ਵਿਚ, ਵਿਹੜੇ ਵਿਚ, ਪਈ ਹੋਈ ਚੰਗੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦੀ।
Your light has gone out, and the bird of your mind has flown away; you are no longer welcome in your own home and courtyard.
थाका तेजु उडिआ मनु पंखी घरि आंगनि न सुखाई ॥
Cuando tu luz fue apagada y el pájaro de tu Alma voló, y nadie de los tuyos te quiso más ahí.
ਬੇਣੀ ਕਹੈ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਰੇ ਭਗਤਹੁ ਮਰਨ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਕਿਨਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੫॥
ਬੇਣੀ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! (ਜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਸਾਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿਚ ਇਹੀ ਹਾਲ ਰਿਹਾ, ਭਾਵ ਜੀਊਂਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਭੀ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਮੋਹ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਨਾਹ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜੇ ਜੀਵਨ-ਮੁਕਤ ਨਾਹ ਹੋਇਆ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਜਾਣੋ ਕਿ) ਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ ॥੫॥
Says Baynee, listen, O devotee: who has ever attained liberation after such a death? ||5||
बेणी कहै सुनहु रे भगतहु मरन मुकति किनि पाई ॥५॥
Dice Beni, escuchen, oh Devotos, ¿quién ha logrado la salvación después de la muerte? (5)

ਤੋਹੀ ਮੋਹੀ ਮੋਹੀ ਤੋਹੀ ਅੰਤਰੁ ਕੈਸਾ ॥
(ਹੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ!) ਤੇਰੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ (ਅਸਲ) ਵਿੱਥ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਹੈ?
You are me, and I am You-what is the difference between us?
तोही मोही मोही तोही अंतरु कैसा ॥
Tú eres yo; y yo soy Tú, ¿En dónde está la diferencia?
ਕਨਕ ਕਟਿਕ ਜਲ ਤਰੰਗ ਜੈਸਾ ॥੧॥
(ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਹੀ ਹੈ) ਜਿਹੀ ਸੋਨੇ ਤੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਕੜਿਆਂ ਦੀ, ਜਾਂ, ਪਾਣੀ ਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
We are like gold and the bracelet, or water and the waves. ||1||
कनक कटिक जल तरंग जैसा ॥१॥
¿De qué manera se distinguen el oro y el brazalete de oro? ¿O el agua y las olas? (1)
ਜਉ ਪੈ ਹਮ ਨ ਪਾਪ ਕਰੰਤਾ ਅਹੇ ਅਨੰਤਾ ॥
ਹੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਜੀ! ਜੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਜੀਵ ਪਾਪ ਨਾਹ ਕਰਦੇ,
If I did not commit any sins, O Infinite Lord,
जउ पै हम न पाप करंता अहे अनंता ॥
Si no tuviera faltas, oh Señor Infinito.
ਪਤਿਤ ਪਾਵਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਕੈਸੇ ਹੁੰਤਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ (ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ) 'ਪਤਿਤ-ਪਾਵਨ' ਕਿਵੇਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ? ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਤੁਮੑ ਜੁ ਨਾਇਕ ਆਛਹੁ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥
ਹੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨਹਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਜੋ ਸਾਡਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ (ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਮਾਲਕਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਿਰਦ ਪਾਲ, ਆਪਣੇ 'ਪਤਿਤ-ਪਾਵਨ' ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਲਾਜ ਰੱਖ)।
You are my Master, the Inner-knower, Searcher of hearts.
तुम जु नाइक आछहु अंतरजामी ॥
Te conocemos como el Maestro, como lo Íntimo de nuestro corazón.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇ ਜਨੁ ਜਾਨੀਜੈ ਜਨ ਤੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥੨॥
ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਪਛਾਣ ਲਈਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਤੋਂ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀ ਪਰਖ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
The servant is known by his God, and the Lord and Master is known by His servant. ||2||
प्रभ ते जनु जानीजै जन ते सुआमी ॥२॥
Soy conocido como Tu Sirviente;(2)
ਸਰੀਰੁ ਆਰਾਧੈ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ਦੇਹੂ ॥
(ਸੋ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੂਝ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਤਾਈਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੈ ਤਦ ਤਾਈਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਾਂ।
Grant me the wisdom to worship and adore You with my body.
सरीरु आराधै मो कउ बीचारु देहू ॥
de ser yo el Sirviente, Tú eres el Maestro.
ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਸਮ ਦਲ ਸਮਝਾਵੈ ਕੋਊ ॥੩॥
(ਇਹ ਭੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕਿ) ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਇਹ ਸਮਝ (ਭੀ) ਦੇ ਦੇਵੇ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈਂ ॥੩॥
O Ravi Daas, one who understands that the Lord is equally in all, is very rare. ||3||
रविदास सम दल समझावै कोऊ ॥३॥
Te llamo a Ti, oh Señor, pidiendo que me concedas esta Visión, que Ravi Das Te pueda reconocer en todo, y en todas partes. (3)
