ਸਲੋਕ ਸਹਸਕ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
ਸਹਸਕ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਸਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ।

ੴ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ 'ਹੋਂਦ ਵਾਲਾ' ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਰਚਨਹਾਰ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ, ਭੈ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ, ਵੈਰ-ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਕਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ, (ਭਾਵ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਨਾਸ-ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ), ਜੋ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਤੋਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
One Universal Creator God. Truth Is The Name. Creative Being Personified. No Fear. No Hatred. Image Of The Undying. Beyond Birth. Self-Existent. By Guru's Grace:
ੴ सति नामु करता पुरखु निरभउ निरवैरु अकाल मूरति अजूनी सैभं गुर प्रसादि ॥
Por la Gracia del Ser Supremo, el Eterno, Todo Prevaleciente, Purusha, el Creador, Sin Miedo, Sin Enojo, el Ser Más Allá del Tiempo, No Encarnado, Auto Existente, el Iluminador.
ਕਤੰ ਚ ਮਾਤਾ ਕਤੰ ਚ ਪਿਤਾ ਕਤੰ ਚ ਬਨਿਤਾ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਸੁਤਹ ॥
ਕਿੱਥੇ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਮਾਂ, ਤੇ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਿਉ? ਤੇ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪੁੱਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਾਡ-ਪਿਆਰ?
Who is the mother, and who is the father? Who is the son, and what is the pleasure of marriage?
कतं च माता कतं च पिता कतं च बनिता बिनोद सुतह ॥
¿Quién es la madre y quién el padre, quién es el hijo y cuál es el placer del matrimonio?
ਕਤੰ ਚ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਮੀਤ ਹਿਤ ਬੰਧਵ ਕਤੰ ਚ ਮੋਹ ਕੁਟੰਬੵਤੇ ॥
ਕਿੱਥੇ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਭਰਾ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਹਿਤੂ ਤੇ ਸਨਬੰਧੀ? ਤੇ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ?
Who is the brother, friend, companion and relative? Who is emotionally attached to the family?
कतं च भ्रात मीत हित बंधव कतं च मोह कुटंब्यते ॥
¿Quién es el hermano, el compañero, el pariente y el amigo? ¿Quién está emocionalmente apegado a la familia?
ਕਤੰ ਚ ਚਪਲ ਮੋਹਨੀ ਰੂਪੰ ਪੇਖੰਤੇ ਤਿਆਗੰ ਕਰੋਤਿ ॥
ਕਿੱਥੇ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਇਹ ਚੰਚਲ ਮਾਇਆ ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਛੱਡ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Who is restlessly attached to beauty? It leaves, as soon as we see it.
कतं च चपल मोहनी रूपं पेखंते तिआगं करोति ॥
¿Quién está sin descanso alguno apegado a la belleza, que se desvanece tan pronto como la dejamos de ver?
ਰਹੰਤ ਸੰਗ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸਿਮਰਣ ਨਾਨਕ ਲਬਧੵੰ ਅਚੁਤ ਤਨਹ ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ) ਨਾਲ (ਸਦਾ) ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ (ਹੀ), ਤੇ ਇਹ ਭਜਨ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ॥੧॥
Only the meditative remembrance of God remains with us. O Nanak, it brings the blessings of the Saints, the sons of the Imperishable Lord. ||1||
रहंत संग भगवान सिमरण नानक लबध्यं अचुत तनह ॥१॥
Sólo el recuerdo en la Meditación en Dios permanece con nosotros, oh dice Nanak, esto trae la Bendición de los Santos, los hijos del Dios Imperecedero. (1)
ਧ੍ਰਿਗੰਤ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਸਨੇਹੰ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਸਨੇਹੰ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਬਾਂਧਵਹ ॥
ਮਾਂ ਪਿਉ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਤਿਆਗਣ-ਜੋਗ ਹੈ, ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਸਨਬੰਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਭੀ ਮਾੜਾ ਹੈ।
Cursed is loving attachment to one's mother and father; cursed is loving attachment to one's siblings and relatives.
ध्रिगंत मात पिता सनेहं ध्रिगु सनेहं भ्रात बांधवह ॥
Desafortunado es el apego amoroso a la madre y al padre, desafortunado es el apego amoroso a los hermanos y parientes.
ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਸ੍ਨੇਹੰ ਬਨਿਤਾ ਬਿਲਾਸ ਸੁਤਹ ॥
ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਭੀ ਛੱਡਣ-ਜੋਗ ਹੈ,
Cursed is attachment to the joys of family life with one's spouse and children.
ध्रिगु स्नेहं बनिता बिलास सुतह ॥
Desafortunado es el apego amoroso a las dichas de la vida familiar con la pareja y los hijos.
ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਸ੍ਨੇਹੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਾਰਥ ਕਹ ॥
ਘਰ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਖਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਭੈੜੀ ਹੈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਪਿਆਰ ਭੀ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦਾ)।
Cursed is attachment to household affairs.
ध्रिगु स्नेहं ग्रिहारथ कह ॥
Desafortunado es el apego a los asuntos del sostenedor de hogar.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗ ਸ੍ਨੇਹ ਸਤੵਿੰ ਸੁਖਯੰ ਬਸੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕਹ ॥੨॥
ਸਤਸੰਗ ਨਾਲ (ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ) ਪਿਆਰ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਸਤਸੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਿਤੀਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
Only loving attachment to the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, is True. Nanak dwells there in peace. ||2||
साधसंग स्नेह सत्यिं सुखयं बसंति नानकह ॥२॥
Sólo el amoroso apego a la Saad Sangat, la Compañía de los Santos, es Verdad, Nanak habita ahí en Paz. (2)
ਮਿਥੵੰਤ ਦੇਹੰ ਖੀਣੰਤ ਬਲਨੰ ॥
(ਇਹ) ਸਰੀਰ ਤਾਂ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਦਾ) ਬਲ ਭੀ ਘਟਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The body is false; its power is temporary.
मिथ्यंत देहं खीणंत बलनं ॥
El cuerpo es falso, su poder es temporal,
ਬਰਧੰਤਿ ਜਰੂਆ ਹਿਤੵੰਤ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
(ਪਰ ਜਿਉਂ ਜਿਉਂ) ਬੁਢੇਪਾ ਵਧਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਭੀ (ਵਧਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ)
It grows old; its love for Maya increases greatly.
बरधंति जरूआ हित्यंत माइआ ॥
se hace viejo y su amor por Maya se incrementa grandemente,
ਅਤੵੰਤ ਆਸਾ ਆਥਿਤੵ ਭਵਨੰ ॥
(ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ) ਆਸਾ ਤੀਬਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ (ਉਂਞ ਜੀਵ ਇਥੇ) ਘਰ ਦੇ ਪਰਾਹੁਣੇ (ਵਾਂਗ) ਹੈ।
The human is only a temporary guest in the home of the body, but he has high hopes.
अत्यंत आसा आथित्य भवनं ॥
el humano es un invitado temporal en la casa del cuerpo y aún así tiene altas esperanzas.
ਗਨੰਤ ਸ੍ਵਾਸਾ ਭੈਯਾਨ ਧਰਮੰ ॥
ਡਰਾਉਣਾ ਧਰਮ ਰਾਜ (ਇਸ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ) ਸਾਹ ਗਿਣਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Righteous Judge of Dharma is relentless; he counts each and every breath.
गनंत स्वासा भैयान धरमं ॥
El Recto Juez del Dharma, no descansa. Él cuenta todas y cada respiración,
ਪਤੰਤਿ ਮੋਹ ਕੂਪ ਦੁਰਲਭੵ ਦੇਹੰ ਤਤ ਆਸ੍ਰਯੰ ਨਾਨਕ ॥
ਇਹ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚ ਡਿੱਗਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਇਸ ਮੋਹ ਜਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਉਸ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ (ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ)
The human body, so difficult to obtain, has fallen into the deep dark pit of emotional attachment. O Nanak, its only support is God, the Essence of Reality.
पतंति मोह कूप दुरलभ्य देहं तत आस्रयं नानक ॥
pues el cuerpo humano es tan difícil de obtener y ha caído en el oscuro y profundo pozo del apego emocional, oh dice Nanak,
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ॥੩॥
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਇੱਕ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਹੀ (ਬਚਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ) ॥੩॥
O God, Lord of the World, Lord of the Universe, Master of the Universe, please be kind to me. ||3||
गोबिंद गोबिंद गोबिंद गोपाल क्रिपा ॥३॥
su Único Soporte es Dios, la Esencia de la Realidad, oh Dios Señor del Mundo, Señor y Maestro del Universo, muestra Tu Bondad. (3)
ਕਾਚ ਕੋਟੰ ਰਚੰਤਿ ਤੋਯੰ ਲੇਪਨੰ ਰਕਤ ਚਰਮਣਹ ॥
(ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ) ਕੱਚਾ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ, (ਜੋ) ਪਾਣੀ (ਭਾਵ, ਵੀਰਜ) ਦਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਲਹੂ ਤੇ ਚੰਮ ਨਾਲ ਲਿੰਬਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
This fragile body-fortress is made up of water, plastered with blood and wrapped in skin.
काच कोटं रचंति तोयं लेपनं रकत चरमणह ॥
La frágil fortaleza del cuerpo esta hecha de agua, aplanada con sangre y envuelta en piel.
ਨਵੰ ਤ ਦੁਆਰੰ ਭੀਤ ਰਹਿਤੰ ਬਾਇ ਰੂਪੰ ਅਸਥੰਭਨਹ ॥
(ਇਸ ਦੇ) ਨੌ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ (ਗੋਲਕਾਂ) ਹਨ, (ਪਰ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ) ਭਿੱਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ, ਸੁਆਸਾਂ ਦੀ (ਇਸ ਨੂੰ) ਥੰਮ੍ਹੀ (ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਈ) ਹੈ।
It has nine gates, but no doors; it is supported by pillars of wind, the channels of the breath.
नवं त दुआरं भीत रहितं बाइ रूपं असथंभनह ॥
Tiene nueve orificios, pero no puertas y soportado por pilares de viento, los canales de la respiración.
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਨਾਮੰ ਨਹ ਸਿਮਰੰਤਿ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ਜਾਨੰਤਿ ਅਸਥਿਰੰ ॥
ਮੂਰਖ ਜੀਵ (ਇਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ) ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਕਦੇ ਯਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ।
The ignorant person does not meditate in remembrance on the Lord of the Universe; he thinks that this body is permanent.
गोबिंद नामं नह सिमरंति अगिआनी जानंति असथिरं ॥
El ignorante no medita en el Señor del Universo y piensa que su cuerpo es permanente,
ਦੁਰਲਭ ਦੇਹ ਉਧਰੰਤ ਸਾਧ ਸਰਣ ਨਾਨਕ ॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਇਸ ਦੁਰਲੱਭ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ (ਨਿੱਤ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
This precious body is saved and redeemed in the Sanctuary of the Holy, O Nanak,
दुरलभ देह उधरंत साध सरण नानक ॥
pero este precioso cuerpo es redimido y salvado en el Santuario de los Santos.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ਜਪੰਤਿ ॥੪॥
(ਜੋ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੪॥
chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, Har, Har, Har, Haray. ||4||
हरि हरि हरि हरि हरि हरे जपंति ॥४॥
Oh dice Nanak, recitando el Nombre del Señor, Jar, Jar, Jar, Jar, Jar, Jari. (4)
ਸੁਭੰਤ ਤੁਯੰ ਅਚੁਤ ਗੁਣਗੵੰ ਪੂਰਨੰ ਬਹੁਲੋ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਾ ॥
ਹੇ ਅਬਿਨਾਸ਼ੀ! ਹੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲੇ! ਹੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ! ਤੂੰ ਬੜਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ (ਸਭ ਥਾਂ) ਸੋਭ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ।
O Glorious, Eternal and Imperishable, Perfect and Abundantly Compassionate,
सुभंत तुयं अचुत गुणग्यं पूरनं बहुलो क्रिपाला ॥
Oh Glorioso, Eterno e Imperecedero, Perfecto y Abundantemente Compasivo,
ਗੰਭੀਰੰ ਊਚੈ ਸਰਬਗਿ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
ਤੂੰ ਅਥਾਹ ਹੈਂ, ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈਂ, ਸਭ ਦਾ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਅਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਹੈਂ।
Profound and Unfathomable, Lofty and Exalted, All-knowing and Infinite Lord God.
गंभीरं ऊचै सरबगि अपारा ॥
Profundo e Insondable, Suave y Excelso, Todo Conocedor e Infinito Señor Dios.
ਭ੍ਰਿਤਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਿਅੰ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ਚਰਣੰ ॥
ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਨ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲਈ) ਆਸਰਾ ਹਨ।
O Lover of Your devoted servants, Your Feet are a Sanctuary of Peace.
भ्रितिआ प्रिअं बिस्राम चरणं ॥
Oh Amante de Tus Devotos Sirvientes, Tus Pies son el Santuario de Paz.
ਅਨਾਥ ਨਾਥੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣੰ ॥੫॥
ਹੇ ਅਨਾਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਥ! (ਮੈਂ) ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਹਾਂ ॥੫॥
O Master of the masterless, Helper of the helpless, Nanak seeks Your Sanctuary. ||5||
अनाथ नाथे नानक सरणं ॥५॥
Oh Maestro de quien no lo tiene, Ayuda de quien no la tiene, Nanak sólo busca Tu Santuario. (5)
ਮ੍ਰਿਗੀ ਪੇਖੰਤ ਬਧਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੇਣ ਲਖੵ ਆਵਧਹ ॥
(ਇਕ) ਹਰਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ (ਇਕ) ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਤੱਕ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਚੋਟ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Seeing the deer, the hunter aims his weapons.
म्रिगी पेखंत बधिक प्रहारेण लख्य आवधह ॥
Viendo al venado el cazador apunta sus armas,
ਅਹੋ ਜਸੵ ਰਖੇਣ ਗੋਪਾਲਹ ਨਾਨਕ ਰੋਮ ਨ ਛੇਦੵਤੇ ॥੬॥
ਪਰ ਵਾਹ! ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਲਈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਵਾਲ (ਭੀ) ਵਿੰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ॥੬॥
But if one is protected by the Lord of the World, O Nanak, not a hair on his head will be touched. ||6||
अहो जस्य रखेण गोपालह नानक रोम न छेद्यते ॥६॥
pero si uno está protegido por el Señor del Mundo, ni siquiera un pelo de su cabeza le podrán tocar. (6)
ਬਹੁ ਜਤਨ ਕਰਤਾ ਬਲਵੰਤਕਾਰੀ ਸੇਵੰਤ ਸੂਰਾ ਚਤੁਰ ਦਿਸਹ ॥
(ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਬੜੇ ਜਤਨ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਬੜਾ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਹੋਵੇ, ਚੌਹਾਂ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਕਈ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋਣ,
He may be surrounded on all four sides by servants and powerful warriors;
बहु जतन करता बलवंतकारी सेवंत सूरा चतुर दिसह ॥
Alguien podrá tener protección en las cuatro esquinas por sirvientes y poderosos guerreros,
ਬਿਖਮ ਥਾਨ ਬਸੰਤ ਊਚਹ ਨਹ ਸਿਮਰੰਤ ਮਰਣੰ ਕਦਾਂਚਹ ॥
ਜੋ ਬੜੇ ਔਖੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਥਾਂ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ, (ਜਿਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਕਦੇ ਚੇਤਾ ਭੀ ਨਾਹ ਆਵੇ।
he may dwell in a lofty place, difficult to approach, and never even think of death.
बिखम थान बसंत ऊचह नह सिमरंत मरणं कदांचह ॥
podrá habitar en santuarios difíciles de llegar y no pensar para nada en la muerte,
ਹੋਵੰਤਿ ਆਗਿਆ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਪੁਰਖਹ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀਟੀ ਸਾਸ ਅਕਰਖਤੇ ॥੭॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਕ ਕੀੜੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਖਿੱਚ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਹੋਵੇ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ) ॥੭॥
But when the Order comes from the Primal Lord God, O Nanak, even an ant can take away his breath of life. ||7||
होवंति आगिआ भगवान पुरखह नानक कीटी सास अकरखते ॥७॥
pero cuando la orden viene del Señor Dios Primordial, oh dice Nanak, hasta una hormiga le puede arrebatar la respiración de su vida. (7)
ਸਬਦੰ ਰਤੰ ਹਿਤੰ ਮਇਆ ਕੀਰਤੰ ਕਲੀ ਕਰਮ ਕ੍ਰਿਤੁਆ ॥
ਗੁਰ-ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ, ਜੀਅ-ਦਇਆ ਨਾਲ ਹਿਤ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ-ਇਸ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ੀ, ਇਹ ਕਰਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ),
To be imbued and attuned to the Word of the Shabad; to be kind and compassionate; to sing the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises - these are the most worthwhile actions in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga.
सबदं रतं हितं मइआ कीरतं कली करम क्रितुआ ॥
Estar imbuido y entonado en la Palabra del Shabd, el ser Bondadoso y Compasivo, el cantar el Kirtan de las Alabanzas del Señor, son los actos más valiosos en la oscura Época oscura de Kali.
ਮਿਟੰਤਿ ਤਤ੍ਰਾਗਤ ਭਰਮ ਮੋਹੰ ॥
ਉਥੇ ਆਏ ਹੋਏ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਭਰਮ ਤੇ ਮੋਹ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
In this way, one's inner doubts and emotional attachments are dispelled.
मिटंति तत्रागत भरम मोहं ॥
De esta forma nuestras dudas y apegos emocionales, son disipados,
ਭਗਵਾਨ ਰਮਣੰ ਸਰਬਤ੍ਰ ਥਾਨੵਿੰ ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
God is pervading and permeating all places.
भगवान रमणं सरबत्र थान्यिं ॥
pues Dios está prevaleciendo y compenetrando todos los lugares.
ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟ ਤੁਯੰ ਅਮੋਘ ਦਰਸਨੰ ਬਸੰਤ ਸਾਧ ਰਸਨਾ ॥
ਤੂੰ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਜੀਭ ਉਤੇ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇਰਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਤੇਰੀ (ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ) ਨਜ਼ਰ ਕਦੇ ਨਿਸਫਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ
So obtain the Blessed Vision of His Darshan; He dwells upon the tongues of the Holy.
द्रिसट तुयं अमोघ दरसनं बसंत साध रसना ॥
Recibe entonces la Bendita Visión de Su Darshan, Él habita en la lengua de los Santos.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਿਅੰ ਜਾਪੁ ਜਪਨਾ ॥੮॥
ਨਾਨਕ (ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ) ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੮॥
O Nanak, meditate and chant the Name of the Beloved Lord, Har, Har, Har, Haray. ||8||
हरि हरि हरि हरे नानक प्रिअं जापु जपना ॥८॥
Oh dice Nanak, medita y canta el Naam, el Nombre del Bienamado Señor, Jar, Jar, Jar, Jari. (8)
ਘਟੰਤ ਰੂਪੰ ਘਟੰਤ ਦੀਪੰ ਘਟੰਤ ਰਵਿ ਸਸੀਅਰ ਨਖੵਤ੍ਰ ਗਗਨੰ ॥
ਰੂਪ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਹੈ, (ਸੱਤੇ) ਦੀਪ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਹਨ, ਸੂਰਜ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਤਾਰੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਹਨ,
Beauty fades away, islands fade away, the sun, moon, stars and sky fade away.
घटंत रूपं घटंत दीपं घटंत रवि ससीअर नख्यत्र गगनं ॥
La belleza se desvanece, las islas desaparecen, el sol, la luna, el cielo y las estrellas también reaparecerán.
ਘਟੰਤ ਬਸੁਧਾ ਗਿਰਿ ਤਰ ਸਿ ਖੰਡੰ ॥
ਧਰਤੀ ਉਚੇ ਉਚੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਤੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਹਨ,
The earth, mountains, forests and lands fade away.
घटंत बसुधा गिरि तर सि खंडं ॥
La tierra, las montañas, los bosques y las praderas, desaparecerán.
ਘਟੰਤ ਲਲਨਾ ਸੁਤ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਹੀਤੰ ॥
ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ, ਭਰਾ ਤੇ ਸਨਬੰਧੀ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਹਨ,
One's spouse, children, siblings and loved friends fade away.
घटंत ललना सुत भ्रात हीतं ॥
La pareja, los hijos, hermanos y amados amigos, desaparecen,
ਘਟੰਤ ਕਨਿਕ ਮਾਨਿਕ ਮਾਇਆ ਸ੍ਵਰੂਪੰ ॥
ਸੋਨਾ ਮੋਤੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਹਨ।
Gold and jewels and the incomparable beauty of Maya fade away.
घटंत कनिक मानिक माइआ स्वरूपं ॥
el oro, las joyas y la incomparable belleza de Maya,
ਨਹ ਘਟੰਤ ਕੇਵਲ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਅਚੁਤ ॥
ਕੇਵਲ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ,
Only the Eternal, Unchanging Lord does not fade away.
नह घटंत केवल गोपाल अचुत ॥
desvanece también. Sólo el Inmutable y Eterno Señor no desaparece,
ਅਸਥਿਰੰ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧ ਜਨ ॥੯॥
ਅਤੇ ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਭੀ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਹੈ ॥੯॥
O Nanak, only the humble Saints are steady and stable forever. ||9||
असथिरं नानक साध जन ॥९॥

ਨਹ ਬਿਲੰਬ ਧਰਮੰ ਬਿਲੰਬ ਪਾਪੰ ॥
ਧਰਮ ਕਮਾਣ ਵਲੋਂ ਢਿੱਲ ਨਾਹ ਕਰਨੀ, ਪਾਪਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਢਿੱਲ ਕਰਨੀ,
Do not delay in practicing righteousness; delay in committing sins.
नह बिलंब धरमं बिलंब पापं ॥
No tardes en vivir de forma recta, pero tarda en cometer errores.
ਦ੍ਰਿੜੰਤ ਨਾਮੰ ਤਜੰਤ ਲੋਭੰ ॥
ਨਾਮ (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਭ ਤਿਆਗਣਾ,
Implant the Naam, the Name of the Lord, within yourself, and abandon greed.
द्रिड़ंत नामं तजंत लोभं ॥
Implanta el Naam, el Nombre del Señor en tu interior y abandona la avaricia.
ਸਰਣਿ ਸੰਤੰ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਨਾਸੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੰ ਧਰਮ ਲਖੵਿਣ ॥
ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨਾ- ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਲੱਛਣ-
In the Sanctuary of the Saints, the sins are erased. The character of righteousness is received by that person,
सरणि संतं किलबिख नासं प्रापतं धरम लख्यिण ॥
En el Santuario de los Santos, los errores son borrados, y el carácter de rectitud lo recibe la persona,
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਹ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਮਾਧਵਹ ॥੧੦॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੦॥
O Nanak, with whom the Lord is pleased and satisfied. ||10||
नानक जिह सुप्रसंन माधवह ॥१०॥

ਮਿਰਤ ਮੋਹੰ ਅਲਪ ਬੁਧੵੰ ਰਚੰਤਿ ਬਨਿਤਾ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਸਾਹੰ ॥
ਹੋਛੀ ਮੱਤ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਕਲੋਲ ਤੇ ਚਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The person of shallow understanding is dying in emotional attachment; he is engrossed in pursuits of pleasure with his wife.
मिरत मोहं अलप बुध्यं रचंति बनिता बिनोद साहं ॥
La persona de corto entendimiento, se muere en su apego emocional, vive involucrado en obtener los placeres mundanos con su pareja.
ਜੌਬਨ ਬਹਿਕ੍ਰਮ ਕਨਿਕ ਕੁੰਡਲਹ ॥
ਜੁਆਨੀ, ਤਾਕਤ, ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਕੁੰਡਲ (ਆਦਿਕ),
With youthful beauty and golden earrings,
जौबन बहिक्रम कनिक कुंडलह ॥
Con belleza juvenil y aretes de oro, fabulosas mansiones,
ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਮੰਦਿਰ ਸੋਭੰਤਿ ਬਸਤ੍ਰਾ ਇਤੵੰਤ ਮਾਇਆ ਬੵਾਪਿਤੰ ॥
ਰੰਗਾ-ਰੰਗ ਦੇ ਮਹਲ-ਮਾੜੀਆਂ, ਸੋਹਣੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ-ਇਹਨਾਂ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਆਪਦੀ ਹੈ (ਆਪਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਪਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ)।
wondrous mansions, decorations and clothes - this is how Maya clings to him.
बचित्र मंदिर सोभंति बसत्रा इत्यंत माइआ ब्यापितं ॥
adornos y ropa fina, es como Maya se aferra. Oh Eterno, Inmutable
ਹੇ ਅਚੁਤ ਸਰਣਿ ਸੰਤ ਨਾਨਕ ਭੋ ਭਗਵਾਨਏ ਨਮਹ ॥੧੧॥
ਨਾਨਕ (ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ) ਹੇ ਅਬਿਨਾਸ਼ੀ! ਹੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਾਰੇ! ਹੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ! ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੀ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ (ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ) ॥੧੧॥
O Eternal, Unchanging, Benevolent Lord God, O Sanctuary of the Saints, Nanak humbly bows to You. ||11||
हे अचुत सरणि संत नानक भो भगवानए नमह ॥११॥
y Bondadoso Dios nuestro Señor, oh Refugio de los Santos, Nanak se postra ante Ti, con total Humildad. (11)
ਜਨਮੰ ਤ ਮਰਣੰ ਹਰਖੰ ਤ ਸੋਗੰ ਭੋਗੰ ਤ ਰੋਗੰ ॥
(ਜਿਥੇ) ਜਨਮ ਹੈ (ਉਥੇ) ਮੌਤ ਭੀ ਹੈ, ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਗ਼ਮੀ ਭੀ ਹੈ, (ਮਾਇਕ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ) ਭੋਗ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਪਜਦੇ) ਰੋਗ ਭੀ ਹਨ।
If there is birth, then there is death. If there is pleasure, then there is pain. If there is enjoyment, then there is disease.
जनमं त मरणं हरखं त सोगं भोगं त रोगं ॥
Si hay nacimiento, también hay muerte, si hay placer, también hay dolor,
ਊਚੰ ਤ ਨੀਚੰ ਨਾਨੑਾ ਸੁ ਮੂਚੰ ॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਉੱਚਾ-ਪਨ ਹੈ, ਉਥੇ ਨੀਵਾਂ-ਪਨ ਭੀ ਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਥੇ ਗ਼ਰੀਬੀ ਹੈ, ਉਥੇ ਵਡੱਪਣ ਭੀ ਆ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
If there is high, then there is low. If there is small, then there is great.
ऊचं त नीचं नाना सु मूचं ॥
si hay salud, también hay enfermedad. Si hay alto, también hay bajo, si hay pequeño, también hay grande.
ਰਾਜੰ ਤ ਮਾਨੰ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੰ ਤ ਹੀਨੰ ॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਰਾਜ ਹੈ, ਉਥੇ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਭੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਥੇ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਹੈ, ਉਥੇ ਨਿਰਾਦਰੀ ਭੀ ਹੈ।
If there is power, then there is pride. If there is egotistical pride, then there will be a fall.
राजं त मानं अभिमानं त हीनं ॥
Si hay poder, también hay orgullo, si hay orgullo egoísta, también habrá una caída.
ਪ੍ਰਵਿਰਤਿ ਮਾਰਗੰ ਵਰਤੰਤਿ ਬਿਨਾਸਨੰ ॥
ਸੋ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿਚ ਹਰੇਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ (ਭੀ) ਹੈ।
Engrossed in worldly ways, one is ruined.
प्रविरति मारगं वरतंति बिनासनं ॥
Al estar involucrado en los asuntos mundanos, uno es arruinado.
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਭਜਨ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗੇਣ ਅਸਥਿਰੰ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਭਜਨਾਸਨੰ ॥੧੨॥
ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ (ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ)। (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਭਜਨ ਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ (ਆਪਣੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਹ) ॥੧੨॥
Meditating and vibrating on the Lord of the Universe in the Company of the Holy, you shall become steady and stable. Nanak vibrates and meditates on the Lord God. ||12||
गोबिंद भजन साध संगेण असथिरं नानक भगवंत भजनासनं ॥१२॥
Meditando y vibrando en el Señor del Universo en la Saad Sangat, te volverás estable y tranquilo, Nanak medita y vibra en el Señor Dios. (12)
ਕਿਰਪੰਤ ਹਰੀਅੰ ਮਤਿ ਤਤੁ ਗਿਆਨੰ ॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਥੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਅਕਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
By the Grace of God, genuine understanding comes to the mind.
किरपंत हरीअं मति ततु गिआनं ॥
El intelecto florece y encontramos un lugar en el reino de la Dicha Celestial,
ਬਿਗਸੀਧੵਿ ਬੁਧਾ ਕੁਸਲ ਥਾਨੰ ॥
(ਅਜੇਹੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ) ਸੁਖ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, (ਅਜੇਹੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਵਾਲੇ) ਗਿਆਨਵਾਨ ਲੋਕ ਸਦਾ ਖਿੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
The intellect blossoms forth, and one finds a place in the realm of celestial bliss.
बिगसीध्यि बुधा कुसल थानं ॥
los sentidos son controlados y el orgullo abandonado,
ਬਸੵਿੰਤ ਰਿਖਿਅੰ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਮਾਨੰ ॥
ਮਾਣ ਤਿਆਗਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ,
The senses are brought under control, and pride is abandoned.
बस्यिंत रिखिअं तिआगि मानं ॥
el corazón es refrescado y suavizado
ਸੀਤਲੰਤ ਰਿਦਯੰ ਦ੍ਰਿੜੁ ਸੰਤ ਗਿਆਨੰ ॥
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ (ਸਦਾ) ਸੀਤਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੱਕਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The heart is cooled and soothed, and the wisdom of the Saints is implanted within.
सीतलंत रिदयं द्रिड़ु संत गिआनं ॥
y la Sabiduría de los Santos es implantada en el interior.
ਰਹੰਤ ਜਨਮੰ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸ ਲੀਣਾ ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਅਜੇਹੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ (-ਮਰਨ) ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
Reincarnation is ended, and the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan is obtained.
रहंत जनमं हरि दरस लीणा ॥
La reencarnación termina y la Bendita Visión del Darshan del Señor Dios es obtenida.
ਬਾਜੰਤ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਬਦ ਬੀਣਾਂ ॥੧੩॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਵਾਜੇ (ਸਦਾ) ਵੱਜਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੩॥
O Nanak, the musical instrument of the Word of the Shabad vibrates and resounds within. ||13||
बाजंत नानक सबद बीणां ॥१३॥
Oh dice Nanak, el Instrumento Musical de la Palabra del Shabd, vibra y resuena en el interior. (13)
ਕਹੰਤ ਬੇਦਾ ਗੁਣੰਤ ਗੁਨੀਆ ਸੁਣੰਤ ਬਾਲਾ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰਾ ॥
ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੇਦ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਈ ਢੰਗਾਂ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹਨ।
The Vedas preach and recount God's Glories; people hear them by various ways and means.
कहंत बेदा गुणंत गुनीआ सुणंत बाला बहु बिधि प्रकारा ॥
Los Vedas hablan y recuentan las Glorias de Dios y la gente los escucha de muy variadas maneras,
ਦ੍ਰਿੜੰਤ ਸੁਬਿਦਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਾ ॥
ਪਰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਹ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ) ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
The Merciful Lord, Har, Har, implants spiritual wisdom within.
द्रिड़ंत सुबिदिआ हरि हरि क्रिपाला ॥
el Misericordioso Señor, Jar, Jar, implanta la Sabiduría Espiritual en el interior.
ਨਾਮ ਦਾਨੁ ਜਾਚੰਤ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੈਨਹਾਰ ਗੁਰ ਗੋਪਾਲਾ ॥੧੪॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇਵਣਹਾਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ (ਸਦਾ) ਨਾਮਿ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਹੀ ਮੰਗਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੪॥
Nanak begs for the Gift of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. The Guru is the Great Giver, the Lord of the World. ||14||
नाम दानु जाचंत नानक दैनहार गुर गोपाला ॥१४॥
Nanak espera hincado el Regalo del Naam, el Nombre de Dios, el Guru es el Gran Dador, el Señor del Mundo. (14)
ਨਹ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤ ਭ੍ਰਾਤਹ ਨਹ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਕਛੁ ਲੋਕ ਕਹ ॥
ਮਾਂ ਪਿਉ ਭਰਾ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੈ,
Do not worry so much about your mother, father and siblings. Do not worry so much about other people.
नह चिंता मात पित भ्रातह नह चिंता कछु लोक कह ॥
No te preocupes tanto por tu madre, padre y hermanos, no te preocupes mucho por la demás gente,
ਨਹ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਬਨਿਤਾ ਸੁਤ ਮੀਤਹ ਪ੍ਰਵਿਰਤਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਸਨਬੰਧਨਹ ॥
ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕ- ਜੋ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਵਿਰਤ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ (ਸਾਡੇ) ਸਨਬੰਧੀ ਹਨ, ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੈ।
Do not worry about your spouse, children and friends. You are obsessed with your involvements in Maya.
नह चिंता बनिता सुत मीतह प्रविरति माइआ सनबंधनह ॥
por tu pareja, hijos y amigos, tienes obsesión por tus asuntos con Maya.
ਦਇਆਲ ਏਕ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਪੁਰਖਹ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਬ ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਕਹ ॥੧੫॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਦਇਆ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਇਕ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੧੫॥
The One Lord God is Kind and Compassionate, O Nanak. He is the Cherisher and Nurturer of all living beings. ||15||
दइआल एक भगवान पुरखह नानक सरब जीअ प्रतिपालकह ॥१५॥
El Señor es Bondadoso y Compasivo, oh dice Nanak, Él es el Moldeador y el cuidador de todas las criaturas vivientes. (15)
ਅਨਿਤੵ ਵਿਤੰ ਅਨਿਤੵ ਚਿਤੰ ਅਨਿਤੵ ਆਸਾ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰੰ ॥
ਧਨ ਨਿੱਤ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਧਨ ਦੀਆਂ) ਸੋਚਾਂ ਵਿਅਰਥ (ਉੱਦਮ) ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਧਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਈ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਸਾਂ (ਬਣਾਣੀਆਂ ਭੀ) ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੈ।
Wealth is temporary; conscious existence is temporary; hopes of all sorts are temporary.
अनित्य वितं अनित्य चितं अनित्य आसा बहु बिधि प्रकारं ॥
La riqueza es temporal, la existencia conciente es temporal y todas las esperanzas también son temporales.
ਅਨਿਤੵ ਹੇਤੰ ਅਹੰ ਬੰਧੰ ਭਰਮ ਮਾਇਆ ਮਲਨੰ ਬਿਕਾਰੰ ॥
ਨਿੱਤ ਨਾਹ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਹਉਮੈ ਦਾ ਬੱਧਾ ਜੀਵ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਮੈਲੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The bonds of love, attachment, egotism, doubt, Maya and the pollution of corruption are temporary.
अनित्य हेतं अहं बंधं भरम माइआ मलनं बिकारं ॥
Los lazos de amor, apego, egoísmo, duda, Maya y la contaminación por corrupción, son temporales,
ਫਿਰੰਤ ਜੋਨਿ ਅਨੇਕ ਜਠਰਾਗਨਿ ਨਹ ਸਿਮਰੰਤ ਮਲੀਣ ਬੁਧੵੰ ॥
ਮੈਲੀ ਮੱਤ ਵਾਲਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭੌਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ (ਮਾਂ ਦੇ) ਪੇਟ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦਾ (ਜੋ ਜੂਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਂ ਸਹਾਰਨੀ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ)।
The mortal passes through the fire of the womb of reincarnation countless times. He does not remember the Lord in meditation; his understanding is polluted.
फिरंत जोनि अनेक जठरागनि नह सिमरंत मलीण बुध्यं ॥
el mortal va a través del fuego del vientre por incontables encarnaciones, no se acuerda del Señor en su meditación y su entendimiento se contamina.
ਹੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਕਰਤ ਮਇਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਾਰਣ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਮਹ ॥੧੬॥
ਨਾਨਕ (ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਹੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ! ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ, ਤੇ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਜਿਥੇ ਵਡੇ ਵਿਕਰਮੀ ਵੀ ਬਚ ਨਿਕਲਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੬॥
O Lord of the Universe, when You grant Your Grace, even sinners are saved. Nanak dwells in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||16||
हे गोबिंद करत मइआ नानक पतित उधारण साध संगमह ॥१६॥
Oh Señor del Universo, cuando otorgas Tu Gracia, aún los más malvados son salvados, Nanak habita en la Saad Sangat, la Compañía de los Santos. (16)
ਗਿਰੰਤ ਗਿਰਿ ਪਤਿਤ ਪਾਤਾਲੰ ਜਲੰਤ ਦੇਦੀਪੵ ਬੈਸ੍ਵਾਂਤਰਹ ॥
ਪਹਾੜ ਤੋਂ ਡਿੱਗ ਕੇ ਪਾਤਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਪੈਣਾ, ਭੜਕਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਿਚ ਸੜਨਾ,
You may drop down from the mountains, and fall into the nether regions of the underworld, or be burnt in the blazing fire,
गिरंत गिरि पतित पातालं जलंत देदीप्य बैस्वांतरह ॥
Podrás caer de la montaña a las regiones inferiores del bajo mundo, o ser quemado en el candente fuego,o ser arrastrado por las profundas olas de las aguas,
ਬਹੰਤਿ ਅਗਾਹ ਤੋਯੰ ਤਰੰਗੰ ਦੁਖੰਤ ਗ੍ਰਹ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਜਨਮੰ ਤ ਮਰਣਹ ॥
ਡੂੰਘੇ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਠਿੱਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਰੁੜ੍ਹ ਜਾਣਾ- ਘਰ ਦੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ) ਅਤੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ (ਬਚਣ ਲਈ)
or swept away by the unfathomable waves of water; but the worst pain of all is household anxiety, which is the source of the cycle of death and rebirth.
बहंति अगाह तोयं तरंगं दुखंत ग्रह चिंता जनमं त मरणह ॥
pero la peor pena de todas es la ansiedad del hogar, pues es la fuente del ciclo del nacimiento y la muerte.
ਅਨਿਕ ਸਾਧਨੰ ਨ ਸਿਧੵਤੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਸਥੰਭੰ ਅਸਥੰਭੰ ਅਸਥੰਭੰ ਸਬਦ ਸਾਧ ਸ੍ਵਜਨਹ ॥੧੭॥
ਅਜੇਹੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ (ਕਠਨ) ਸਾਧਨ, ਸਫਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਜੀਵ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਗੁਰ-ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੭॥
No matter what you do, you cannot break its bonds, O Nanak. Man's only Support, Anchor and Mainstay is the Word of the Shabad, and the Holy, Friendly Saints. ||17||
अनिक साधनं न सिध्यते नानक असथंभं असथंभं असथंभं सबद साध स्वजनह ॥१७॥
No importa lo que hagas, no puedes romper estas amarras, oh dice Nanak, el Único Soporte, el Ancla y Mástil del ser humano es la Palabra del Shabd y los Amigables Santos. (17)
ਘੋਰ ਦੁਖੵੰ ਅਨਿਕ ਹਤੵੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਾਰਿਦ੍ਰੰ ਮਹਾ ਬਿਖੵਾਦੰ ॥
ਭਿਆਨਕ ਦੁੱਖ-ਕੇਲਸ਼, (ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਖ਼ੂਨ, ਜਨਮਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗ਼ਰੀਬੀ, ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੁਆੜੇ-ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ,
Excruciating pain, countless killings, reincarnation, poverty and terrible misery
घोर दुख्यं अनिक हत्यं जनम दारिद्रं महा बिख्यादं ॥
Terribles dolores, múltiples matanzas, reencarnaciones, pobrezas y extrema miseria,
ਮਿਟੰਤ ਸਗਲ ਸਿਮਰੰਤ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੈਸੇ ਪਾਵਕ ਕਾਸਟ ਭਸਮੰ ਕਰੋਤਿ ॥੧੮॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆਂ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅੱਗ ਲੱਕੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਆਹ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧੮॥
are all destroyed by meditating in remembrance on the Lord's Name, O Nanak, just as fire reduces piles of wood to ashes. ||18||
मिटंत सगल सिमरंत हरि नाम नानक जैसे पावक कासट भसमं करोति ॥१८॥
son todos destruidos meditando en el Naam, oh dice Nanak, así como el fuego convierte la madera en ceniza. (18)
ਅੰਧਕਾਰ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸੰ ਗੁਣ ਰਮੰਤ ਅਘ ਖੰਡਨਹ ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆਂ (ਅਗਿਆਨਤਾ ਦਾ) ਹਨੇਰਾ (ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ) (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਦਾ) ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਚੇਤੇ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Meditating in remembrance on the Lord, the darkness is illuminated. Dwelling on His Glorious Praises, the ugly sins are destroyed.
अंधकार सिमरत प्रकासं गुण रमंत अघ खंडनह ॥
Meditando en el Señor, la oscuridad es iluminada, habitando en Sus Gloriosas Alabanzas las más horrendas maldades son eliminadas.
ਰਿਦ ਬਸੰਤਿ ਭੈ ਭੀਤ ਦੂਤਹ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਤ ਮਹਾ ਨਿਰਮਲਹ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਿਆਂ ਜਮਦੂਤ ਭੀ ਡਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬੜੇ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Enshrining the Lord deep within the heart, and with the immaculate karma of doing good deeds, one strikes fear into the demons.
रिद बसंति भै भीत दूतह करम करत महा निरमलह ॥
Enalteciendo al Señor en lo profundo del corazón y con un Karma inmaculado de buenas acciones uno hace que el miedo desaparezca
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਰਹੰਤ ਸ੍ਰੋਤਾ ਸੁਖ ਸਮੂਹ ਅਮੋਘ ਦਰਸਨਹ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਸੁਣਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ (ਦਾ ਗੇੜ) ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਫਲ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਖੁੰਝਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The cycle of coming and going in reincarnation is ended, absolute peace is obtained, and the Fruitful Vision of the Lord's Darshan.
जनम मरण रहंत स्रोता सुख समूह अमोघ दरसनह ॥
y el ciclo de las reencarnaciones termine, la Paz Absoluta es establecida y la Fructífera Visión del Darshan del Señor es obtenida.
ਸਰਣਿ ਜੋਗੰ ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਖੇਮੰ ਕਰੋਤਿ ॥੧੯॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਜੋ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਰਨ ਆਇਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਹੈਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੈ (ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ) ਸੁਖ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੯॥
He is Potent to give Protection, He is the Lover of His Saints. O Nanak, the Lord God blesses all with bliss. ||19||
सरणि जोगं संत प्रिअ नानक सो भगवान खेमं करोति ॥१९॥
Él tiene el Poder de dar Protección, es el Amante de Sus Santos, oh dice Nanak, el Bienamado Señor nos bendice a todos con Su Éxtasis. (19)
ਪਾਛੰ ਕਰੋਤਿ ਅਗ੍ਰਣੀਵਹ ਨਿਰਾਸੰ ਆਸ ਪੂਰਨਹ ॥
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਗੂ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਿਰਾਸਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਸਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Those who were left behind - the Lord brings them to the front. He fulfills the hopes of the hopeless.
पाछं करोति अग्रणीवह निरासं आस पूरनह ॥
Los que fueron dejados atrás, el Señor los trae al frente, Él cumple las esperanzas de quien no las tiene.
ਨਿਰਧਨ ਭਯੰ ਧਨਵੰਤਹ ਰੋਗੀਅੰ ਰੋਗ ਖੰਡਨਹ ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ) ਕੰਗਾਲ ਧਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮਾਲਕ ਰੋਗੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਰੋਗ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ-ਜੋਗ ਹੈ।
He makes the poor rich, and cures the illnesses of the ill.
निरधन भयं धनवंतह रोगीअं रोग खंडनह ॥
Vuelve al pobre, rico, y cura las enfermedades del enfermo.
ਭਗਤੵੰ ਭਗਤਿ ਦਾਨੰ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਣ ਕੀਰਤਨਹ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਨਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
He blesses His devotees with devotion. They sing the Kirtan of the Praises of the Lord's Name.
भगत्यं भगति दानं राम नाम गुण कीरतनह ॥
Bendice a Sus Devotos con Devoción y ellos entonan el Kirtan de las Alabanzas del Nombre del Señor.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪੁਰਖ ਦਾਤਾਰਹ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਿੰ ਨ ਲਭੵਤੇ ॥੨੦॥
ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਭ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਕੀਹ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ? ॥੨੦॥
O Nanak, those who serve the Guru find the Supreme Lord God, the Great Giver||20||
पारब्रहम पुरख दातारह नानक गुर सेवा किं न लभ्यते ॥२०॥
Oh dice Nanak, quienes sirven al Señor, encuentran al Supremo Señor Dios, el Gran Dador. (20)
ਅਧਰੰ ਧਰੰ ਧਾਰਣਹ ਨਿਰਧਨੰ ਧਨ ਨਾਮ ਨਰਹਰਹ ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਆਸਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਸਰਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਧਨ-ਹੀਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਨ ਹੈ।
He gives Support to the unsupported. The Name of the Lord is the Wealth of the poor.
अधरं धरं धारणह निरधनं धन नाम नरहरह ॥
Da Soporte a quien no lo tiene, el Naam es la Riqueza del pobre,
ਅਨਾਥ ਨਾਥ ਗੋਬਿੰਦਹ ਬਲਹੀਣ ਬਲ ਕੇਸਵਹ ॥
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਅਨਾਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਥ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਕੇਸ਼ਵ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਿਤਾਣਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਤਾਣ ਹੈ।
The Lord of the Universe is the Master of the masterless; the Beautiful-haired Lord is the Power of the weak.
अनाथ नाथ गोबिंदह बलहीण बल केसवह ॥
el Señor del Universo es el Maestro de quien no tiene uno, el Bello Señor es el Poder del débil.
ਸਰਬ ਭੂਤ ਦਯਾਲ ਅਚੁਤ ਦੀਨ ਬਾਂਧਵ ਦਾਮੋਦਰਹ ॥
ਅਬਿਨਾਸ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਗਾਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੰਧੂ ਹੈ।
The Lord is Merciful to all beings, Eternal and Unchanging, the Family of the meek and humble.
सरब भूत दयाल अचुत दीन बांधव दामोदरह ॥
El Señor es Misericordioso con todos los seres, Eterno e Inmutable,
ਸਰਬਗੵ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਭਗਵਾਨਹ ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲ ਕਰੁਣਾਮਯਹ ॥
ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸਭ ਜੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਭਗਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹੈ।
The All-knowing, Perfect, Primal Lord God is the Lover of His devotees, the Embodiment of Mercy.
सरबग्य पूरन पुरख भगवानह भगति वछल करुणामयह ॥
la Familia del débil y el humilde. El Todo Conocedor, el Dios Prefecto, el Señor Primordial, es el Amante de Sus Devotos, la Encarnación de Misericordia.
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਬਸੰਤ ਬਾਸੁਦੇਵਹ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰਹ ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Supreme Lord God, the Transcendent, Luminous Lord, dwells in each and every heart.
घटि घटि बसंत बासुदेवह पारब्रहम परमेसुरह ॥
El Supremo Señor Dios, el Trascendente y Luminoso Señor, habita en cada corazón.
ਜਾਚੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦੰ ਨਹ ਬਿਸਰੰਤਿ ਨਹ ਬਿਸਰੰਤਿ ਨਾਰਾਇਣਹ ॥੨੧॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਉਸ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਦਾਨ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਨਾਹ ਵਿੱਸਰੇ, ਕਦੇ ਨਾਹ ਵਿੱਸਰੇ ॥੨੧॥
Nanak begs for this blessing from the Merciful Lord, that he may never forget Him, never forget Him. ||21||
जाचंति नानक क्रिपाल प्रसादं नह बिसरंति नह बिसरंति नाराइणह ॥२१॥
Nanak pide la Bendición del Señor Misericordioso, de que nunca lo olvide, que nunca lo olvide. (21)
ਨਹ ਸਮਰਥੰ ਨਹ ਸੇਵਕੰ ਨਹ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਪਰਮ ਪੁਰਖੋਤਮੰ ॥
ਹੇ ਪਰਮ ਉੱਤਮ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ! (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ) ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਸੇਵਕ ਹਾਂ, ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ (ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ) ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਹੈ।
I have no power; I do not serve You, and I do not love You, O Supreme Sublime Lord God.
नह समरथं नह सेवकं नह प्रीति परम पुरखोतमं ॥
No tengo poderes, no te sirvo y tampoco te amo, oh Supremo y Sublime Señor Dios,
ਤਵ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਸਿਮਰਤੇ ਨਾਮੰ ਨਾਨਕ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੰ ॥੨੨॥
ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਹਰੀ! ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰੀ! (ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ) ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ (ਹੀ) ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੨॥
By Your Grace, Nanak meditates on the Naam, the Name of the Merciful Lord, Har, Har. ||22||
तव प्रसादि सिमरते नामं नानक क्रिपाल हरि हरि गुरं ॥२२॥

ਭਰਣ ਪੋਖਣ ਕਰੰਤ ਜੀਆ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ਛਾਦਨ ਦੇਵੰਤ ਦਾਨੰ ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ-ਪੋਸ਼ਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕੱਪੜਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਆਦਿਕ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Lord feeds and sustains all living beings; He blesses them with the gifts of restful peace and fine clothes.
भरण पोखण करंत जीआ बिस्राम छादन देवंत दानं ॥
El Señor alimenta y da sustento a todos los seres vivientes, los bendice con Regalos de buena ropa,
ਸ੍ਰਿਜੰਤ ਰਤਨ ਜਨਮ ਚਤੁਰ ਚੇਤਨਹ ॥
ਸਮਰੱਥ ਚੇਤਨ-ਸਰੂਪ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
He created the jewel of human life, with all its cleverness and intelligence.
स्रिजंत रतन जनम चतुर चेतनह ॥
y una vida de tranquilidad y paz. Él creó la Joya de la vida humana, con todo y sus astucias e inteligencias
ਵਰਤੰਤਿ ਸੁਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਹ ॥ ਸਿਮਰੰਤ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ॥ ਅਨਿਤੵ ਰਚਨਾ ਨਿਰਮੋਹ ਤੇ ॥੨੩॥
ਉਸ ਆਨੰਦ-ਰੂਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵ ਸੁਖੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਜੀਵ ਉਸ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਇਸ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਰਚਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਮੋਹ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨੩॥
By His Grace, mortals abide in peace and bliss. O Nanak, meditating in remembrance on the Lord, Har, Har, Haray, the mortal is released from attachment to the world. ||23||
वरतंति सुख आनंद प्रसादह ॥ सिमरंत नानक हरि हरि हरे ॥ अनित्य रचना निरमोह ते ॥२३॥
y por Su Gracia los mortales habitan en Paz y Éxtasis. Oh dice Nanak, meditando en el Señor, Jar, Jar, Jari, el mortal es liberado de los apegos del mundo. (23)
ਦਾਨੰ ਪਰਾ ਪੂਰਬੇਣ ਭੁੰਚੰਤੇ ਮਹੀਪਤੇ ॥
ਪੂਰਬਲੇ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਪੁੰਨ-ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਦਕਾ ਰਾਜੇ (ਇਥੇ ਰਾਜ-ਮਿਲਖ ਦੀ) ਮਾਲਕੀ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ।
The kings of the earth are eating up the blessings of the good karma of their past lives.
दानं परा पूरबेण भुंचंते महीपते ॥
Los reyes del mundo se comen el buen Karma de sus vidas pasadas,
ਬਿਪਰੀਤ ਬੁਧੵੰ ਮਾਰਤ ਲੋਕਹ ਨਾਨਕ ਚਿਰੰਕਾਲ ਦੁਖ ਭੋਗਤੇ ॥੨੪॥
ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਥੇ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ) ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਉਲਟੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਚਿਰਕਾਲ ਤਕ ਦੁੱਖ ਭੋਗਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨੪॥
Those cruel-minded rulers who oppress the people, O Nanak, shall suffer in pain for a very long time. ||24||
बिपरीत बुध्यं मारत लोकह नानक चिरंकाल दुख भोगते ॥२४॥
pero esos regidores crueles que oprimen a sus súbditos, oh dice Nanak, sufrirán de dolor por un muy largo tiempo. (24)
ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੰ ਗੋਬਿੰਦਹ ਜਸੵ ਸਿਮਰਣ ਰਿਦੰਤਰਹ ॥
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਂਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣੇ ਹਨ,
Those who meditate in remembrance on the Lord in their hearts, look upon even pain as God's Grace.
ब्रिथा अनुग्रहं गोबिंदह जस्य सिमरण रिदंतरह ॥
Los que en su corazón meditan en el Señor, aún la pena la ven como la Gracia de Dios.
ਆਰੋਗੵੰ ਮਹਾ ਰੋਗੵੰ ਬਿਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤੇ ਕਰੁਣਾਮਯਹ ॥੨੫॥
ਉਹ ਨਰੋਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭੀ ਵੱਡੇ ਰੋਗੀ ਹਨ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਦਇਆ ਸਰੂਪ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ॥੨੫॥
The healthy person is very sick, if he does not remember the Lord, the Embodiment of Mercy. ||25||
आरोग्यं महा रोग्यं बिसिम्रिते करुणामयह ॥२५॥
La persona saludable está muy enferma si no recuerda al Señor, la Encarnación de la Misericordia. (25)
ਰਮਣੰ ਕੇਵਲੰ ਕੀਰਤਨੰ ਸੁਧਰਮੰ ਦੇਹ ਧਾਰਣਹ ॥
ਕੇਵਲ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਨੀ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਧਰਮ ਹੈ।
To sing the Kirtan of God's Praises is the righteous duty incurred by taking birth in this human body.
रमणं केवलं कीरतनं सुधरमं देह धारणह ॥
Cantar el Kirtan de la Alabanza de Dios, es lo único bueno que uno puede hacer al tomar este nacimiento humano, el Naam es Néctar de Ambrosia.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਨਾਨਕ ਪੀਵਤੰ ਸੰਤ ਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਪੵਤੇ ॥੨੬॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਲ ਪੀਂਦਿਆਂ ਰੱਜਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੨੬॥
The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is Ambrosial Nectar, O Nanak. The Saints drink it in, and never have enough of it. ||26||
अंम्रित नामु नाराइण नानक पीवतं संत न त्रिप्यते ॥२६॥
Oh dice Nanak, Los Santos beben de Él y nunca alcanzan a tomar suficiente. (26)
ਸਹਣ ਸੀਲ ਸੰਤੰ ਸਮ ਮਿਤ੍ਰਸੵ ਦੁਰਜਨਹ ॥
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਰਜਨ ਇੱਕ-ਸਮਾਨ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਧੀਕੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਾਰਨਾ-ਇਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Saints are tolerant and good-natured; friends and enemies are the same to them.
सहण सील संतं सम मित्रस्य दुरजनह ॥
Los Santos son buenos y bondadosos; los amigos y los enemigos son lo mismo para ellos, oh dice Nanak,
ਨਾਨਕ ਭੋਜਨ ਅਨਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰੇਣ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਆਵਧ ਹੋਇ ਉਪਤਿਸਟਤੇ ॥੨੭॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਤਾਂ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ, ਪਰ ਨਿੰਦਕ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪਾਸ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਉਹ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਤੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ) ॥੨੭॥
O Nanak, it is all the same to them, whether someone offers them all sorts of foods, or slanders them, or draws weapons to kill them. ||27||
नानक भोजन अनिक प्रकारेण निंदक आवध होइ उपतिसटते ॥२७॥
es lo mismo para ellos, si alguien les ofrece todo tipo de comida, los calumnia, o sacan sus armas para matarlos. (27)
ਤਿਰਸਕਾਰ ਨਹ ਭਵੰਤਿ ਨਹ ਭਵੰਤਿ ਮਾਨ ਭੰਗਨਹ ॥
ਉਹਨਾਂ (ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ) ਦੀ ਕਦੇ ਨਿਰਾਦਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਦੇ ਅਪਮਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ,
They pay no attention to dishonor or disrespect.
तिरसकार नह भवंति नह भवंति मान भंगनह ॥
No ponen atención alguna al deshonor o a la falta de respeto,
ਸੋਭਾ ਹੀਨ ਨਹ ਭਵੰਤਿ ਨਹ ਪੋਹੰਤਿ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੁਖਨਹ ॥
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਟਦੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ,
They are not bothered by gossip; the miseries of the world do not touch them.
सोभा हीन नह भवंति नह पोहंति संसार दुखनह ॥
no les molesta el chismorreo, y las miserias del mundo no los tocan.
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਨਾਮ ਜਪੰਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਹ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਸੁਖ ਬਾਸਨਹ ॥੨੮॥
ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ (ਸਦਾ) ਸੁਖੀ ਵਸਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨੮॥
Those who join the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and chant the Name of the Lord of the Universe - O Nanak, those mortals abide in peace. ||28||
गोबिंद नाम जपंति मिलि साध संगह नानक से प्राणी सुख बासनह ॥२८॥
Los que se acercan a la Saad Sangat y cantan el Naam, del Señor del Universo, esos mortales viven en total Paz. (28)
ਸੈਨਾ ਸਾਧ ਸਮੂਹ ਸੂਰ ਅਜਿਤੰ ਸੰਨਾਹੰ ਤਨਿ ਨਿੰਮ੍ਰਤਾਹ ॥
ਸੰਤ-ਜਨ ਅਜਿੱਤ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਹੈ। ਗ਼ਰੀਬੀ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਸੰਜੋਅ ਹੈ;
The Holy people are an invincible army of spiritual warriors; their bodies are protected by the armor of humility.
सैना साध समूह सूर अजितं संनाहं तनि निंम्रताह ॥
Los Santos son un ejército invisible de guerreros espirituales y están protegidos con la Armadura de la Humildad,
ਆਵਧਹ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਰਮਣੰ ਓਟ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦ ਕਰ ਚਰਮਣਹ ॥
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਣੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪਾਸ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਹਨ; ਗੁਰ-ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਓਟ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੀ ਢਾਲ ਹੈ।
Their weapons are the Glorious Praises of the Lord which they chant; their Shelter and Shield is the Word of the Guru's Shabad.
आवधह गुण गोबिंद रमणं ओट गुर सबद कर चरमणह ॥
sus armas son las Gloriosa Alabanzas al Señor, su Santuario y Protección es la Palabra del Shabd del Guru.
ਆਰੂੜਤੇ ਅਸ੍ਵ ਰਥ ਨਾਗਹ ਬੁਝੰਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਾਰਗਹ ॥
ਸੰਤ-ਜਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ) ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਭਾਲਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ-ਇਹ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਉਹ ਘੋੜੇ ਰਥ ਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਵਾਰੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
The horses, chariots and elephants they ride are their way to realize God's Path.
आरूड़ते अस्व रथ नागह बुझंते प्रभ मारगह ॥
Sus caballos, carrozas y elefantes son sus maneras de caminar en el Sendero de Dios,
ਬਿਚਰਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਯੰ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਸੈਨਾ ਧਾਯੰਤੇ ਗੋੁਪਾਲ ਕੀਰਤਨਹ ॥
ਸੰਤ-ਜਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ (ਦੀ ਸਹੈਤਾ) ਨਾਲ (ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਵੈਰੀ-ਦਲ ਉਤੇ ਹੱਲਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਤੁਰੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
They walk fearlessly through the armies of their enemies; they attack them with the Kirtan of God's Praises.
बिचरते निरभयं सत्रु सैना धायंते गुोपाल कीरतनह ॥
caminan sin temor a través de los ejércitos enemigos y los atacan con el Kirtan de las Alabanzas de Dios.
ਜਿਤਤੇ ਬਿਸ੍ਵ ਸੰਸਾਰਹ ਨਾਨਕ ਵਸੵੰ ਕਰੋਤਿ ਪੰਚ ਤਸਕਰਹ ॥੨੯॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸੰਤ-ਜਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਂ ਚੋਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ॥੨੯॥
They conquer the entire world, O Nanak, and overpower the five thieves. ||29||
जितते बिस्व संसारह नानक वस्यं करोति पंच तसकरह ॥२९॥
Conquistan el mundo entero y oh, dice Nanak, también a los cinco ladrones. (29)
ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਗੰਧਰਬ ਨਗਰੰ ਦ੍ਰੁਮ ਛਾਯਾ ਰਚਿ ਦੁਰਮਤਿਹ ॥
ਭੈੜੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਠਗਨੀਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਹਵਾਈ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਛਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਮੰਨ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Misled by evil-mindedness, mortals are engrossed in the mirage of the illusory world, like the passing shade of a tree.
म्रिग त्रिसना गंधरब नगरं द्रुम छाया रचि दुरमतिह ॥
Engañados por la maldad de la mente, los mortales viven involucrados en las apariencias del mundo ilusorio, como la sombra pasajera del árbol.
ਤਤਹ ਕੁਟੰਬ ਮੋਹ ਮਿਥੵਾ ਸਿਮਰੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਹ ॥੩੦॥
ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਕੁਟੰਬ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਸੰਤ-ਜਨ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩੦॥
Emotional attachment to family is false, so Nanak meditates in remembrance on the Name of the Lord, Raam, Raam. ||30||
ततह कुटंब मोह मिथ्या सिमरंति नानक राम राम नामह ॥३०॥
El apego emocional a la familia es falso, así Nanak medita en el Nombre del Señor, Ram, Ram. (30)
ਨ ਚ ਬਿਦਿਆ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਨਿਗਮੰ ਨ ਚ ਗੁਣਗੵ ਨਾਮ ਕੀਰਤਨਹ ॥
ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਵੇਦ-ਵਿਦਿਆ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹਾਂ, ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਰਖੂ ਹਾਂ, ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਹੈ।
I do not possess the treasure of the wisdom of the Vedas, nor do I possess the merits of the Praises of the Naam.
न च बिदिआ निधान निगमं न च गुणग्य नाम कीरतनह ॥
No poseo el tesoro de sabiduría de los Vedas, ni tampoco los Méritos de recitar el Naam,
ਨ ਚ ਰਾਗ ਰਤਨ ਕੰਠੰ ਨਹ ਚੰਚਲ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਾਤੁਰਹ ॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਗਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਰਾਗ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਚੁਸਤ ਤੇ ਬੜਾ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਹਾਂ।
I do not have a beautiful voice to sing jewelled melodies; I am not clever, wise or shrewd.
न च राग रतन कंठं नह चंचल चतुर चातुरह ॥
no tengo una voz bonita para cantar las Preciosas Melodías, no soy astuto, sabio o abusado.
ਭਾਗ ਉਦਿਮ ਲਬਧੵੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਖਲ ਪੰਡਿਤਹ ॥੩੧॥
ਪੂਰਬਲੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਉੱਦਮ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ (ਉਹ ਭੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ)। (ਪਰ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਤਸੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਮੂਰਖ (ਭੀ) ਪੰਡਿਤ (ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਭੀ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ) ॥੩੧॥
By destiny and hard work, the wealth of Maya is obtained. O Nanak, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, even fools become religious scholars. ||31||
भाग उदिम लबध्यं माइआ नानक साधसंगि खल पंडितह ॥३१॥
Por destino y ardua labor, la Riqueza se obtiene, oh dice Nanak, en la Saad Sangat, la Compañía de los Santos, aún los tontos se vuelven escolares religiosos. (31)
ਕੰਠ ਰਮਣੀਯ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਮਾਲਾ ਹਸਤ ਊਚ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਧਾਰਣੀ ॥
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਗਲੇ ਤੋਂ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਗਲੇ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਮਾਲਾ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਟਿਕਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਲਾ ਦੀ ਥੈਲੀ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
The mala around my neck is the chanting of the Lord's Name. The Love of the Lord is my silent chanting.
कंठ रमणीय राम राम माला हसत ऊच प्रेम धारणी ॥
El Mala de mi cuello es cantar el Nombre del Señor, el Amor del Señor es mi canto silencioso.
ਜੀਹ ਭਣਿਜੋ ਉਤਮ ਸਲੋਕ ਉਧਰਣੰ ਨੈਨ ਨੰਦਨੀ ॥੩੨॥
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩੨॥
Chanting this most Sublime Word brings salvation and joy to the eyes. ||32||
जीह भणिजो उतम सलोक उधरणं नैन नंदनी ॥३२॥
Cantando tan Sublime Palabra, obtengo la Salvación y la Dicha, (32)
ਗੁਰ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਹੀਣਸੵ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੰਤ ਜਨਮ ਭ੍ਰਸਟਣਹ ॥
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਭੈੜੀ ਬੱਧ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਯੋਗ ਹੈ।
That mortal who lacks the Guru's Mantra - cursed and contaminated is his life.
गुर मंत्र हीणस्य जो प्राणी ध्रिगंत जनम भ्रसटणह ॥
El mortal que no vibra el Mantra del Guru, tiene una existencia desafortunada y contaminada,
ਕੂਕਰਹ ਸੂਕਰਹ ਗਰਧਭਹ ਕਾਕਹ ਸਰਪਨਹ ਤੁਲਿ ਖਲਹ ॥੩੩॥
ਉਹ ਮੂਰਖ ਕੁੱਤੇ ਸੂਰ ਖੋਤੇ ਕਾਂ ਸੱਪ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ (ਜਾਣੋ) ॥੩੩॥
That blockhead is just a dog, a pig, a jackass, a crow, a snake. ||33||
कूकरह सूकरह गरधभह काकह सरपनह तुलि खलह ॥३३॥
es de mente bloqueada, como lo fuera un perro, un puerco, un cuervo o una serpiente. (33)
ਚਰਣਾਰਬਿੰਦ ਭਜਨੰ ਰਿਦਯੰ ਨਾਮ ਧਾਰਣਹ ॥
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਟਿਕਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ-ਕਮਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
Whoever contemplates the Lord's Lotus Feet, and enshrines His Name within the heart,
चरणारबिंद भजनं रिदयं नाम धारणह ॥
Quien contempla el Loto de los Pies del Señor y enaltece Su Nombre en el fondo de su corazón,
ਕੀਰਤਨੰ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੇਣ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਹ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੰਤਿ ਜਮਦੂਤਨਹ ॥੩੪॥
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਮਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਲ ਤੱਕ (ਭੀ) ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਢੁਕਦੇ) ॥੩੪॥
and sings the Kirtan of His Praises in the Saadh Sangat, O Nanak, shall never see the Messenger of Death. ||34||
कीरतनं साधसंगेण नानक नह द्रिसटंति जमदूतनह ॥३४॥
cantando el Kirtan de Sus Alabanzas en la Compañía de la Saad Sangat, oh dice Nanak, nunca verá al mensajero de la muerte. (34)
ਨ ਚ ਦੁਰਲਭੰ ਧਨੰ ਰੂਪੰ ਨ ਚ ਦੁਰਲਭੰ ਸ੍ਵਰਗ ਰਾਜਨਹ ॥
ਧਨ ਅਤੇ ਰੂਪ ਲੱਭਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਔਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਸੁਰਗ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ।
Wealth and beauty are not so difficult to obtain. Paradise and royal power are not so difficult to obtain.
न च दुरलभं धनं रूपं न च दुरलभं स्वरग राजनह ॥
Riqueza y belleza no son tan difíciles de obtener, tampoco el paraíso, ni el poder para regir. La comida y los disfrutes de la vida no son difíciles de obtener,
ਨ ਚ ਦੁਰਲਭੰ ਭੋਜਨੰ ਬਿੰਜਨੰ ਨ ਚ ਦੁਰਲਭੰ ਸ੍ਵਛ ਅੰਬਰਹ ॥
ਸੁਆਦਲੇ ਮਸਾਲੇਦਾਰ ਖਾਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨੇ ਔਖੇ ਨਹੀਂ, ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਸਾਫ਼ ਸੁਥਰੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ।
Foods and delicacies are not so difficult to obtain. Elegant clothes are not so difficult to obtain.
न च दुरलभं भोजनं बिंजनं न च दुरलभं स्वछ अंबरह ॥
tampoco la ropa elegante. Hijos, parientes, hermanos y amigos, no se tienen con dificultad,
ਨ ਚ ਦੁਰਲਭੰ ਸੁਤ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਬਾਂਧਵ ਨ ਚ ਦੁਰਲਭੰ ਬਨਿਤਾ ਬਿਲਾਸਹ ॥
ਪੁੱਤ੍ਰ ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਭਰਾ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ, ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਲਾਡ-ਪਿਆਰ।
Children, friends, siblings and relatives are not so difficult to obtain. The pleasures of woman are not so difficult to obtain.
न च दुरलभं सुत मित्र भ्रात बांधव न च दुरलभं बनिता बिलासह ॥
ni tampoco los placeres con la pareja. Conocimiento y sabiduría no cuesta mucho obtenerlos,
ਨ ਚ ਦੁਰਲਭੰ ਬਿਦਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਣੰ ਨ ਚ ਦੁਰਲਭੰ ਚਤੁਰ ਚੰਚਲਹ ॥
ਵਿਦਿਆ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਬਣਨਾ ਭੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਔਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਔਖਾ ਹੈ (ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਦੀ ਸਹੈਤਾ ਨਾਲ) ਚਾਲਾਕ ਤੇ ਤੀਖਣ-ਬੁੱਧ ਹੋਣਾ।
Knowledge and wisdom are not so difficult to obtain. Cleverness and trickery are not so difficult to obtain.
न च दुरलभं बिदिआ प्रबीणं न च दुरलभं चतुर चंचलह ॥
tampoco astucias y formas para engañar. Sólo el Naam, el Nombre del Señor, cuesta mucho obtener, pues, oh, dice Nanak;
ਦੁਰਲਭੰ ਏਕ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਨਾਮਹ ਨਾਨਕ ਲਬਧੵਿੰ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੰ ॥੩੫॥
ਹਾਂ! ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਕੇਵਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਾਮ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ (ਪਰ ਤਦੋਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੩੫॥
Only the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is difficult to obtain. O Nanak, it is only obtained by God's Grace, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||35||
दुरलभं एक भगवान नामह नानक लबध्यिं साधसंगि क्रिपा प्रभं ॥३५॥
sólo podrá ser obtenido por la Gracia de Dios, en la Compañía de la Saad Sangat. (35)
ਜਤ ਕਤਹ ਤਤਹ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੰ ਸ੍ਵਰਗ ਮਰਤ ਪਯਾਲ ਲੋਕਹ ॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ (ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰਗ, ਮਾਤਲੋਕ, ਪਾਤਾਲ ਲੋਕ-ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ,
Wherever I look, I see the Lord, whether in this world, in paradise, or the nether regions of the underworld.
जत कतह ततह द्रिसटं स्वरग मरत पयाल लोकह ॥
Donde sea que veo, en este mundo, en el Paraíso o en el bajo mundo, ahí veo al Señor.
ਸਰਬਤ੍ਰ ਰਮਣੰ ਗੋਬਿੰਦਹ ਨਾਨਕ ਲੇਪ ਛੇਪ ਨ ਲਿਪੵਤੇ ॥੩੬॥
ਜੋ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਕ ਹੈ; ਉਹ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੋਚੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿੱਬੜਦਾ ॥੩੬॥
The Lord of the Universe is All-pervading everywhere. O Nanak, no blame or stain sticks to Him. ||36||
सरबत्र रमणं गोबिंदह नानक लेप छेप न लिप्यते ॥३६॥
El Señor del Universo prevalece por todas partes, oh dice Nanak; ninguna culpa o mancha se le pega. (36)
ਬਿਖਯਾ ਭਯੰਤਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੰ ਦੁਸਟਾਂ ਸਖਾ ਸ੍ਵਜਨਹ ॥
ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਦੋਖੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਤੇ ਕਰੀਬੀ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
Poison is transformed into nectar, and enemies into friends and companions.
बिखया भयंति अंम्रितं दुसटां सखा स्वजनह ॥
El veneno es transformado en Néctar y los enemigos en amigos y compañeros;
ਦੁਖੰ ਭਯੰਤਿ ਸੁਖੵੰ ਭੈ ਭੀਤੰ ਤ ਨਿਰਭਯਹ ॥
ਦੁੱਖ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਸੁਖ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੇ ਉਹ (ਪਹਿਲਾਂ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਡਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਹਿਮਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
Pain is changed into pleasure, and the fearful become fearless.
दुखं भयंति सुख्यं भै भीतं त निरभयह ॥
el dolor se transforma en placer y el temeroso se vuelve valiente.
ਥਾਨ ਬਿਹੂਨ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੰ ਨਾਨਕ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰਹ ॥੩੭॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ-ਦਾ-ਰੂਪ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ਹੋ ਪਏ। ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਹਾਰਾ-ਆਸਰਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩੭॥
Those who have no home or place find their place of rest in the Naam, O Nanak, when the Guru, the Lord, becomes Merciful. ||37||
थान बिहून बिस्राम नामं नानक क्रिपाल हरि हरि गुरह ॥३७॥
Los que no tienen hogar para descansar, lo encuentran en el Naam, oh dice Nanak, cuando el Guru, el Señor, muestra Su Misericordia. (37)
ਸਰਬ ਸੀਲ ਮਮੰ ਸੀਲੰ ਸਰਬ ਪਾਵਨ ਮਮ ਪਾਵਨਹ ॥
ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਉਹੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਜੋ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਭੀ ਉਹੀ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ-ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ;
He blesses all with humility; He has blessed me with humility as well. He purifies all, and He has purified me as well.
सरब सील ममं सीलं सरब पावन मम पावनह ॥
Él bendice a todos con Humildad, y a mí también; Él purifica a todos y a mí también.
ਸਰਬ ਕਰਤਬ ਮਮੰ ਕਰਤਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਲੇਪ ਛੇਪ ਨ ਲਿਪੵਤੇ ॥੩੮॥
ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਚਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੋਚੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਬੜਦਾ ॥੩੮॥
The Creator of all is the Creator of me as well. O Nanak, no blame or stain sticks to Him. ||38||
सरब करतब ममं करता नानक लेप छेप न लिप्यते ॥३८॥
El Creador de todo es mi Creador, oh dice Nanak, ni culpa, ni mancha se le pega. (38)
ਨਹ ਸੀਤਲੰ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਦੇਵਹ ਨਹ ਸੀਤਲੰ ਬਾਵਨ ਚੰਦਨਹ ॥
ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ (ਉਤਨਾ) ਠੰਢ ਅਪੜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਚਿੱਟਾ ਚੰਦਨ (ਉਤਨੀ) ਠੰਢ ਅਪੜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ,
The moon-god is not cool and calm, nor is the white sandalwood tree.
नह सीतलं चंद्र देवह नह सीतलं बावन चंदनह ॥
El dios luna no está fresco ni en calma, ni el sándalo blanco es árbol,
ਨਹ ਸੀਤਲੰ ਸੀਤ ਰੁਤੇਣ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੀਤਲੰ ਸਾਧ ਸ੍ਵਜਨਹ ॥੩੯॥
ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਸਰਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਬਹਾਰ (ਉਤਨੀ) ਠੰਢ ਦੇ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਜਿਤਨੀ) ਠੰਢ-ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਸਾਧ ਜਨ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩੯॥
The winter season is not cool; O Nanak, only the Holy friends, the Saints, are cool and calm. ||39||
नह सीतलं सीत रुतेण नानक सीतलं साध स्वजनह ॥३९॥
oh dice Nanak, sólo los Santos viven frescos y en calma. (39)
ਮੰਤ੍ਰੰ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੰ ਧੵਾਨੰ ਸਰਬਤ੍ਰ ਪੂਰਨਹ ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ) ਜਪਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜਨੀ;
Through the Mantra of the Name of the Lord, Raam, Raam, one meditates on the All-pervading Lord.
मंत्रं राम राम नामं ध्यानं सरबत्र पूरनह ॥
Mediante el Mantra del Nombre del Señor, Ram, Ram, uno medita en el Todo Prevaleciente Señor.
ਗੵਾਨੰ ਸਮ ਦੁਖ ਸੁਖੰ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਨਿਰਵੈਰਣਹ ॥
ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦੁਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਤੇ ਵੈਰ-ਰਹਿਤ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀਊਣਾ;
Those who have the wisdom to look alike upon pleasure and pain, live the immaculate lifestyle, free of vengeance.
ग्यानं सम दुख सुखं जुगति निरमल निरवैरणह ॥
Quienes tienen la Sabiduría de mirar de igual forma al dolor y al placer, viven una vida inmaculada, libre de toda venganza.
ਦਯਾਲੰ ਸਰਬਤ੍ਰ ਜੀਆ ਪੰਚ ਦੋਖ ਬਿਵਰਜਿਤਹ ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ-ਹਮਦਰਦੀ ਰੱਖਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ ਪੰਜੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ;
They are kind to all beings; they have overpowered the five thieves.
दयालं सरबत्र जीआ पंच दोख बिवरजितह ॥
Son bondadosos con todos, pues han conquistado sus cinco terribles enemigos.
ਭੋਜਨੰ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਕੀਰਤਨੰ ਅਲਪ ਮਾਯਾ ਜਲ ਕਮਲ ਰਹਤਹ ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਬਣਾਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਇਉਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਉਲ ਫੁੱਲ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ,
They take the Kirtan of the Lord's Praise as their food; they remain untouched by Maya, like the lotus in the water.
भोजनं गोपाल कीरतनं अलप माया जल कमल रहतह ॥
Ellos toman el Kirtan de la Alabanza del Señor como su comida y permanecen intocables por Maya,
ਉਪਦੇਸੰ ਸਮ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਤ੍ਰਹ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਭਗਤਿ ਭਾਵਨੀ ॥
ਸੱਜਣ ਤੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਇਕੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਭਾਵ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣਾਣਾ;
They share the Teachings with friend and enemy alike; they love the devotional worship of God.
उपदेसं सम मित्र सत्रह भगवंत भगति भावनी ॥
así como el Loto en el agua; comparten las Enseñanzas con amigos y enemigos por igual;
ਪਰ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਨਹ ਸ੍ਰੋਤਿ ਸ੍ਰਵਣੰ ਆਪੁ ਤੵਿਾਗਿ ਸਗਲ ਰੇਣੁਕਹ ॥
ਪਰਾਈ ਨਿੰਦਿਆ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਹ ਸੁਣਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਬਣਨਾ;
They do not listen to slander; renouncing self-conceit, they become the dust of all.
पर निंदा नह स्रोति स्रवणं आपु त्यिागि सगल रेणुकह ॥
aman la Alabanza de Devoción a Dios; sin prestar oídos a la calumnia, renuncian a la actitud voluntariosa y se convierten en el Polvo debajo de los pies de todos.
ਖਟ ਲਖੵਣ ਪੂਰਨੰ ਪੁਰਖਹ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਸਾਧ ਸ੍ਵਜਨਹ ॥੪੦॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਛੇ ਲੱਛਣ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਾਧ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਖੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪੦॥
Whoever has these six qualities, O Nanak, is called a Holy friend. ||40||
खट लख्यण पूरनं पुरखह नानक नाम साध स्वजनह ॥४०॥
Quien tenga estas seis cualidades, oh, dice Nanak, se le llama el Santo Amigo. (40)
ਅਜਾ ਭੋਗੰਤ ਕੰਦ ਮੂਲੰ ਬਸੰਤੇ ਸਮੀਪਿ ਕੇਹਰਹ ॥
ਬੱਕਰੀ ਗਾਜਰ-ਮੂਲੀ ਆਦਿਕ ਖਾਂਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਪਰ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਵੱਸਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ,
The goat enjoys eating fruits and roots, but if it lives near a tiger, it is always anxious.
अजा भोगंत कंद मूलं बसंते समीपि केहरह ॥
La cabra disfruta comiendo frutas y raíces, pero si vive cerca del tigre siempre estará ansiosa.
ਤਤ੍ਰ ਗਤੇ ਸੰਸਾਰਹ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋਗ ਹਰਖੰ ਬਿਆਪਤੇ ॥੪੧॥
(ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਭਾਉਂਦਾ ਖਾਣਾ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਤੋਂ ਡਰ ਭੀ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ); ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਹੀ ਹਾਲ ਹੈ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ, ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਤੇ ਗ਼ਮੀ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਵਿਆਪਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੪੧॥
This is the condition of the world, O Nanak; it is afflicted by pleasure and pain. ||41||
तत्र गते संसारह नानक सोग हरखं बिआपते ॥४१॥
Así es la condición del mundo, dice Nanak, vivir afligido por el dolor y el placer. (41)
ਛਲੰ ਛਿਦ੍ਰੰ ਕੋਟਿ ਬਿਘਨੰ ਅਪਰਾਧੰ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਮਲੰ ॥
(ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ) ਧੋਖਾ (ਦੇਣਾ), (ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ) ਐਬ (ਫਰੋਲਣੇ), (ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿਚ) ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਰੁਕਾਵਟਾਂ (ਪਾਣੀਆਂ), ਵਿਕਾਰ, ਪਾਪ,
Fraud, false accusations, millions of diseases, sins and the filthy residues of evil mistakes;
छलं छिद्रं कोटि बिघनं अपराधं किलबिख मलं ॥
Fraude, falsas acusaciones, miles de enfermedades, faltas y errores malvados;
ਭਰਮ ਮੋਹੰ ਮਾਨ ਅਪਮਾਨੰ ਮਦੰ ਮਾਯਾ ਬਿਆਪਿਤੰ ॥
ਭਟਕਣਾ, ਮੋਹ, ਆਦਰ, ਨਿਰਾਦਰੀ, ਅਹੰਕਾਰ-(ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ) ਮਾਇਆ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਬਾਉ ਹੇਠ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ,
doubt, emotional attachment, pride, dishonor and intoxication with Maya
भरम मोहं मान अपमानं मदं माया बिआपितं ॥
duda, apegos emocionales, orgullo, deshonor e intoxicación por Maya,
ਮ੍ਰਿਤੵੁ ਜਨਮ ਭ੍ਰਮੰਤਿ ਨਰਕਹ ਅਨਿਕ ਉਪਾਵੰ ਨ ਸਿਧੵਤੇ ॥
ਉਹ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਨਰਕ ਭੋਗਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਉਪਾਵ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਭੀ (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਕਲਣ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ।
these lead mortals to death and rebirth, wandering lost in hell. In spite of all sorts of efforts, salvation is not found.
म्रित्यु जनम भ्रमंति नरकह अनिक उपावं न सिध्यते ॥
llevan a los mortales a la muerte y al renacimiento, perdidos en las consecuencias de sus propios actos y, a pesar de todos los esfuerzos, la salvación no es encontrada.
ਨਿਰਮਲੰ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਹ ਜਪੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਨਾਮੰ ॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ,
Chanting and meditating on the Name of the Lord in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, O Nanak, mortals become immaculate and pure.
निरमलं साध संगह जपंति नानक गोपाल नामं ॥
Cantando y meditando en el Nombre del Señor, en la Saad Sangat, oh, dice Nanak, los mortales se vuelven Inmaculados y Puros,
ਰਮੰਤਿ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਨਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਤਹ ॥੪੨॥
ਸਦਾ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ (-ਜੀਵਨ) ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੪੨॥
They continually dwell upon the Glorious Praises of God. ||42||
रमंति गुण गोबिंद नित प्रतह ॥४२॥
pues continuamente habitan en las Gloriosas Alabanzas de Dios. (42)
ਤਰਣ ਸਰਣ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਰਮਣ ਸੀਲ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰਹ ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਭ ਕੌਤਕ ਰਚਨਹਾਰ ਹੈ, ਸਭ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਲਈ, ਮਾਨੋ) ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਹੈ।
In the Sanctuary of the Kind-hearted Lord, our Transcendent Lord and Master, we are carried across.
तरण सरण सुआमी रमण सील परमेसुरह ॥
En el Santuario del Bondadoso Corazón de Dios, nuestro Maestro, el Dios Trascendente, somos llevados a través.
ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥਹ ਦਾਨੁ ਦੇਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪੂਰਨਹ ॥
ਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ਹੈ, ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨ-ਜੋਗਾ ਹੈ।
God is the Perfect, All-powerful Cause of causes; He is the Giver of gifts.
करण कारण समरथह दानु देत प्रभु पूरनह ॥
Dios es la Perfecta, la Toda Poderosa Causa de causas, es el Dador de todos los Regalos,
ਨਿਰਾਸ ਆਸ ਕਰਣੰ ਸਗਲ ਅਰਥ ਆਲਯਹ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਿਰਾਸਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਸਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹੈ।
He gives hope to the hopeless. He is the Source of all riches.
निरास आस करणं सगल अरथ आलयह ॥
da Esperanza a quien nunca la tuvo y es la Fuente de toda Riqueza.
ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਸਿਮਰੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਗਲ ਜਾਚੰਤ ਜਾਚਿਕਹ ॥੪੩॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਾਰੇ (ਜੀਵ) ਮੰਗਤੇ (ਬਣ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਮੰਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਸਭ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੪੩॥
Nanak meditates in remembrance on the Treasure of Virtue; we are all beggars, begging at His Door. ||43||
गुण निधान सिमरंति नानक सगल जाचंत जाचिकह ॥४३॥
Nanak medita en el Tesoro de Virtud, somos todos sus pordioseros pidiendo limosna en Su Puerta. (43)
ਦੁਰਗਮ ਸਥਾਨ ਸੁਗਮੰ ਮਹਾ ਦੂਖ ਸਰਬ ਸੂਖਣਹ ॥
ਔਖੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਵਾਲੇ ਥਾਂ ਸੌਖੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਸੁਖ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
The most difficult place becomes easy, and the worst pain turns into pleasure.
दुरगम सथान सुगमं महा दूख सरब सूखणह ॥
El lugar más difícil se vuelve fácil y el peor de los dolores se convierte en placer,
ਦੁਰਬਚਨ ਭੇਦ ਭਰਮੰ ਸਾਕਤ ਪਿਸਨੰ ਤ ਸੁਰਜਨਹ ॥
ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਰਸਤੇ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਖਰ੍ਹਵੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ) ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਚੁਗ਼ਲ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇਕ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Evil words, differences and doubts are obliterated, and even faithless cynics and malicious gossips become good people.
दुरबचन भेद भरमं साकत पिसनं त सुरजनह ॥
malas palabras, diferencias y dudas desaparecen, aún los cínicos sin Fe y también los malvados chismosos se convierten en gentes buenas,
ਅਸਥਿਤੰ ਸੋਗ ਹਰਖੰ ਭੈ ਖੀਣੰ ਤ ਨਿਰਭਵਹ ॥
ਚਿੰਤਾ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਟਿਕਦੀ ਹੈ। (ਬਦਲ ਕੇ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ)। ਡਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਹਿਮਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਬੰਦਾ ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
They become steady and stable, whether happy or sad; their fears are taken away, and they are fearless.
असथितं सोग हरखं भै खीणं त निरभवह ॥
tranquilas, estables, y vivan felices o infelices, sus temores son destruidos,
ਭੈ ਅਟਵੀਅੰ ਮਹਾ ਨਗਰ ਬਾਸੰ ਧਰਮ ਲਖੵਣ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਇਆ ॥
ਡਰਾਉਣਾ ਜੰਗਲ ਤਕੜਾ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਜਾਪਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ-ਇਹ ਹਨ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਲੱਛਣ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
The dreadful woods become a well-populated city; such are the merits of the righteous life of Dharma, given by God's Grace.
भै अटवीअं महा नगर बासं धरम लख्यण प्रभ मइआ ॥
pudiendo vivir su vida sin miedo. Los cerrados bosques se convierten en ciudades pobladas, tales son los Méritos de vivir en la Rectitud del Dharma, dado por la Gracia de Dios.
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਮਣੰ ਸਰਣਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਯਾਲ ਚਰਣੰ ॥੪੪॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਉਹ ਧਰਮ ਹੈ-) ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਤੇ ਦਿਆਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈਣਾ ॥੪੪॥
Chanting the Lord's Name in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, O Nanak, the Lotus Feet of the Merciful Lord are found. ||44||
साध संगम राम राम रमणं सरणि नानक हरि हरि दयाल चरणं ॥४४॥
Cantando el Nombre del Señor, en medio de la Saad Sangat, oh, dice Nanak. Los Pies de Loto del Misericordioso Señor son encontrados. (44)
ਹੇ ਅਜਿਤ ਸੂਰ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਾਮੰ ਅਤਿ ਬਲਨਾ ਬਹੁ ਮਰਦਨਹ ॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਹ ਜਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ (ਮੋਹ)! ਤੂੰ ਜੁੱਧ ਦਾ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਮਹਾਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਲ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ।
O emotional attachment, you are the invincible warrior of the battlefield of life; you totally crush and destroy even the most powerful.
हे अजित सूर संग्रामं अति बलना बहु मरदनह ॥
Oh, apego emocional, eres el invencible guerrero del campo de batalla de la vida, aún al más poderoso
ਗਣ ਗੰਧਰਬ ਦੇਵ ਮਾਨੁਖੵੰ ਪਸੁ ਪੰਖੀ ਬਿਮੋਹਨਹ ॥
ਗਣ ਗੰਧਰਬ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਪੰਛੀ-ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਮੋਹ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
You entice and fascinate even the heavenly heralds, celestial singers, gods, mortals, beasts and birds.
गण गंधरब देव मानुख्यं पसु पंखी बिमोहनह ॥
o aplastas y lo destruyes. Engañas y fascinas aún a los Heraldos Celestiales y a los que cantan Melodías Celestiales, a los dioses, a los mortales,
ਹਰਿ ਕਰਣਹਾਰੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰੰ ਸਰਣਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਗਦੀਸ੍ਵਰਹ ॥੪੫॥
(ਪਰ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਮਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਰਚਣਹਾਰ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰ ॥੪੫॥
Nanak bows in humble surrender to the Lord; he seeks the Sanctuary of the Lord of the Universe. ||45||
हरि करणहारं नमसकारं सरणि नानक जगदीस्वरह ॥४५॥
a las bestias y a las aves también. Nanak se postra en humilde entrega al Señor y sólo busca el Santuario del Señor del Universo. (45)
ਹੇ ਕਾਮੰ ਨਰਕ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮੰ ਬਹੁ ਜੋਨੀ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਵਣਹ ॥
ਹੇ ਕਾਮ! ਤੂੰ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਕਰ ਕੇ) ਨਰਕ ਵਿਚ ਅਪੜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ।
O sexual desire, you lead the mortals to hell; you make them wander in reincarnation through countless species.
हे कामं नरक बिस्रामं बहु जोनी भ्रमावणह ॥
Oh, lujuria, tú guías a los mortales a los mundos más alejados de Dios, los haces vagar de encarnación en reencarnación,
ਚਿਤ ਹਰਣੰ ਤ੍ਰੈ ਲੋਕ ਗੰਮੵੰ ਜਪ ਤਪ ਸੀਲ ਬਿਦਾਰਣਹ ॥
ਤੂੰ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਭਰਮਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਪ ਤਪ ਤੇ ਸੁੱਧ ਆਚਰਨ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
You cheat the consciousness, and pervade the three worlds. You destroy meditation, penance and virtue.
चित हरणं त्रै लोक गंम्यं जप तप सील बिदारणह ॥
a través de incontables especies. Engañas la Conciencia y compenetras los tres mundos, tú destruyes la meditación, la penitencia y la Virtud. Pero los placeres que das son cortos y sin satisfacción alguna,
ਅਲਪ ਸੁਖ ਅਵਿਤ ਚੰਚਲ ਊਚ ਨੀਚ ਸਮਾਵਣਹ ॥
ਹੇ ਚੰਚਲ ਕਾਮ! ਤੂੰ ਸੁਖ ਤਾਂ ਥੋੜਾ ਹੀ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਪਰ ਇਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਤੂੰ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਸੁੱਧ ਆਚਰਨ ਦੇ) ਧਨ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
But you give only shallow pleasure, while you make the mortals weak and unsteady; you pervade the high and the low.
अलप सुख अवित चंचल ऊच नीच समावणह ॥
mientras vuelves a los mortales débiles e inestables, tú compenetras desde lo más alto hasta lo más bajo.
ਤਵ ਭੈ ਬਿਮੁੰਚਿਤ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਮ ਓਟ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਰਾਇਣਹ ॥੪੬॥
ਜੀਵ ਉੱਚੇ ਹੋਣ, ਨੀਵੇਂ ਹੋਣ, ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਡਰ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਲੈ ॥੪੬॥
Your fear is dispelled in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, O Nanak, through the Protection and Support of the Lord. ||46||
तव भै बिमुंचित साध संगम ओट नानक नाराइणह ॥४६॥
Tus temores son disipados en la Compañía de la Saad Sangat, oh, dice Nanak, a través de la Protección y el Soporte de Dios. (46)
ਹੇ ਕਲਿ ਮੂਲ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੰ ਕਦੰਚ ਕਰੁਣਾ ਨ ਉਪਰਜਤੇ ॥
ਹੇ ਝਗੜੇ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਢ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ! (ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਕਦੇ ਦਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਪਜਦੀ।
O anger, you are the root of conflict; compassion never rises up in you.
हे कलि मूल क्रोधं कदंच करुणा न उपरजते ॥
Oh, enojo, eres tú la mera raíz del conflicto, la Compasión nunca se edifica en tu cercanía,
ਬਿਖਯੰਤ ਜੀਵੰ ਵਸੵੰ ਕਰੋਤਿ ਨਿਰਤੵੰ ਕਰੋਤਿ ਜਥਾ ਮਰਕਟਹ ॥
ਤੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਈ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਤੇਰੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਆਇਆ ਜੀਵ ਇਉਂ ਨੱਚਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬਾਂਦਰ।
You take the corrupt, sinful beings in your power, and make them dance like monkeys.
बिखयंत जीवं वस्यं करोति निरत्यं करोति जथा मरकटह ॥
tú tomas a los corruptos, a los malvados seres humanos en tu poder y los haces bailar como changos.
ਅਨਿਕ ਸਾਸਨ ਤਾੜੰਤਿ ਜਮਦੂਤਹ ਤਵ ਸੰਗੇ ਅਧਮੰ ਨਰਹ ॥
ਤੇਰੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਜੀਵ ਨੀਚ (ਸੁਭਾਵ ਵਾਲੇ) ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜਮਦੂਤ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੁਕਮ ਤੇ ਦੰਡ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Associating with you, mortals are debased and punished by the Messenger of Death in so many ways.
अनिक सासन ताड़ंति जमदूतह तव संगे अधमं नरह ॥
Acercándose a ti, los mortales son aplastados y llevados ante el emisario de la muerte de mil maneras.
ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਦਯਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਬ ਜੀਅ ਰਖੵਾ ਕਰੋਤਿ ॥੪੭॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਦੀਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਦਿਆਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ (ਇਸ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਤੋਂ) ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ) ॥੪੭॥
O Destroyer of the pains of the poor, O Merciful God, Nanak prays for You to protect all begins from such anger. ||47||
दीन दुख भंजन दयाल प्रभु नानक सरब जीअ रख्या करोति ॥४७॥
Oh Destructor de las penas del pobre, oh Dios lleno de Misericordia, Nanak te implora Protejas a los mortales de tal enojo. (47)
ਹੇ ਲੋਭਾ ਲੰਪਟ ਸੰਗ ਸਿਰਮੋਰਹ ਅਨਿਕ ਲਹਰੀ ਕਲੋਲਤੇ ॥
ਹੇ ਲੋਭ! ਮੁਖੀ ਬੰਦੇ (ਭੀ) ਤੇਰੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ (ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਡੁੱਬ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ (ਫਸ ਕੇ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕਲੋਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
O greed, you cling to even the great, assaulting them with countless waves.
हे लोभा लंपट संग सिरमोरह अनिक लहरी कलोलते ॥
Oh, avaricia, tú te aferras aún a los más grandiosos, y los asaltas de múltiples maneras con tu vasto oleaje,
ਧਾਵੰਤ ਜੀਆ ਬਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰੰ ਅਨਿਕ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਬਹੁ ਡੋਲਤੇ ॥
ਤੇਰੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਆਏ ਹੋਏ ਜੀਵ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਡੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ।
You cause them to run around wildly in all directions, wobbling and wavering unsteadily.
धावंत जीआ बहु प्रकारं अनिक भांति बहु डोलते ॥
haces que corran salvajemente en todas direcciones, tambaleándose, intranquilos y ansiosos.
ਨ ਚ ਮਿਤ੍ਰੰ ਨ ਚ ਇਸਟੰ ਨ ਚ ਬਾਧਵ ਨ ਚ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਤਵ ਲਜਯਾ ॥
ਤੇਰੇ ਅਸਰ ਹੇਠ ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਦੀ, ਨਾਹ ਗੁਰੂ-ਪੀਰ ਦੀ, ਨਾਹ ਸਨਬੰਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ, ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਮਾਂ ਪਿਉ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
You have no respect for friends, ideals, relations, mother or father.
न च मित्रं न च इसटं न च बाधव न च मात पिता तव लजया ॥
No tienes respeto por amigos, ideales, relaciones, madres o padres,
ਅਕਰਣੰ ਕਰੋਤਿ ਅਖਾਦੵਿ ਖਾਦੵੰ ਅਸਾਜੵੰ ਸਾਜਿ ਸਮਜਯਾ ॥
ਤੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵ ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ, ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ, ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ।
You make them do what they should not do. You make them eat what they should not eat. You make them accomplish what they should not accomplish.
अकरणं करोति अखाद्यि खाद्यं असाज्यं साजि समजया ॥
haces que hagan lo que no deberían, que coman lo que no debieran comer y realizen lo que no deberían realizar.
ਤ੍ਰਾਹਿ ਤ੍ਰਾਹਿ ਸਰਣਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਬਿਗੵਾਪ੍ਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਨਰਹਰਹ ॥੪੮॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਲੋਭ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ) ਇਉਂ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰ-ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲੈ, ਬਚਾ ਲੈ ॥੪੮॥
Save me, save me - I have come to Your Sanctuary, O my Lord and Master; Nanak prays to the Lord. ||48||
त्राहि त्राहि सरणि सुआमी बिग्याप्ति नानक हरि नरहरह ॥४८॥
Sálvame, oh sálvame, he llegado a Tu Santuario, oh mi Señor y Maestro, Nanak reza al Señor.(48)
ਹੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਮੂਲੰ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੰ ਪਾਪਾਤਮਾ ॥
ਹੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ! ਤੂੰ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੈਂ।
O egotism, you are the root of birth and death and the cycle of reincarnation; you are the very soul of sin.
हे जनम मरण मूलं अहंकारं पापातमा ॥
Oh egoísmo, eres la raíz del nacimiento, la muerte, la reencarnación,
ਮਿਤ੍ਰੰ ਤਜੰਤਿ ਸਤ੍ਰੰ ਦ੍ਰਿੜੰਤਿ ਅਨਿਕ ਮਾਯਾ ਬਿਸ੍ਤੀਰਨਹ ॥
ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਖਿਲਾਰੇ ਖਿਲਾਰ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਤਿਆਗ ਕਰਾ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਪੱਕੇ ਕਰਾਈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
You forsake friends, and hold tight to enemies. You spread out countless illusions of Maya.
मित्रं तजंति सत्रं द्रिड़ंति अनिक माया बिस्तीरनह ॥
eres el Alma de la maldad, abandonas a los amigos y te aferras al enemigo, tú esparces incontables ilusiones de Maya.
ਆਵੰਤ ਜਾਵੰਤ ਥਕੰਤ ਜੀਆ ਦੁਖ ਸੁਖ ਬਹੁ ਭੋਗਣਹ ॥
(ਤੇਰੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਜੀਵ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਥੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਦੁੱਖ ਸੁਖ ਭੋਗਦੇ ਹਨ,
You cause the living beings to come and go until they are exhausted. You lead them to experience pain and pleasure.
आवंत जावंत थकंत जीआ दुख सुख बहु भोगणह ॥
Haces que los seres humanos vayan y vengan hasta exhaustarse y los guías para que experimenten dolor y placer.
ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭਯਾਨ ਉਦਿਆਨ ਰਮਣੰ ਮਹਾ ਬਿਕਟ ਅਸਾਧ ਰੋਗਣਹ ॥
ਭਟਕਣਾ ਵਿਚ ਪੈ ਕੇ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਡਰਾਉਣੇ ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਬੜੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਲਾ-ਇਲਾਜ ਰੋਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਫਸੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
You lead them to wander lost in the terrible wilderness of doubt; you lead them to contract the most horrible, incurable diseases.
भ्रम भयान उदिआन रमणं महा बिकट असाध रोगणह ॥
Los conduces a vagar salvajemente en la duda y a contraer las más horribles e incurables enfermedades.
ਬੈਦੵੰ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਆਰਾਧਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ॥੪੯॥
(ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਰੋਗ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ) ਹਕੀਮ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਿਮਰ ॥੪੯॥
The only Physician is the Supreme Lord, the Transcendent Lord God. Nanak worships and adores the Lord, Har, Har, Haray. ||49||
बैद्यं पारब्रहम परमेस्वर आराधि नानक हरि हरि हरे ॥४९॥
El Único Médico es el Señor Supremo, el Trascendente Dios nuestro Señor, Nanak alaba y adora al Señor Jar, Jar, Jari, (49)
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਨਾਥ ਗੋਬਿੰਦਹ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਜਗਦ ਗੁਰੋ ॥
ਹੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ! ਹੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਹੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ! ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਗੁਰੂ!
O Lord of the Universe, Master of the Breath of life, Treasure of Mercy, Guru of the World.
हे प्राण नाथ गोबिंदह क्रिपा निधान जगद गुरो ॥
Oh Dios del Universo, Maestro de la Respiración de la Vida, Tesoro de Misericordia, Guru del Mundo.
ਹੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤਾਪ ਹਰਣਹ ਕਰੁਣਾਮੈ ਸਭ ਦੁਖ ਹਰੋ ॥
ਹੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ! ਹੇ ਤਰਸ-ਸਰੂਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ।
O Destroyer of the fever of the world, Embodiment of Compassion, please take away all my pain.
हे संसार ताप हरणह करुणामै सभ दुख हरो ॥
Oh Destructor de la fiebre del mundo, Encarnación de la Compasión, por favor llévate todo mi dolor.
ਹੇ ਸਰਣਿ ਜੋਗ ਦਯਾਲਹ ਦੀਨਾ ਨਾਥ ਮਯਾ ਕਰੋ ॥
ਹੇ ਦਇਆ ਦੇ ਘਰ! ਹੇ ਸਰਨ ਆਇਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਹੈਤਾ ਕਰਨ-ਜੋਗ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਦੀਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਥ! ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ।
O Merciful Lord, Potent to give Sanctuary, Master of the meek and humble, please be kind to me.
हे सरणि जोग दयालह दीना नाथ मया करो ॥
Oh Señor Misericordioso, con Poder para darnos el Santuario, Maestro del débil y el humilde, por favor muéstrame Tu Bondad.
ਸਰੀਰ ਸ੍ਵਸਥ ਖੀਣ ਸਮਏ ਸਿਮਰੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਾਮ ਦਾਮੋਦਰ ਮਾਧਵਹ ॥੫੦॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਮ! ਹੇ ਦਾਮੋਦਰ! ਹੇ ਮਾਧੋ! ਸਰੀਰਕ ਅਰੋਗਤਾ ਸਮੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਸ ਹੋਣ ਸਮੇ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਨਾਨਕ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹੇ ॥੫੦॥
Whether his body is healthy or sick, let Nanak meditate in remembrance on You, Lord. ||50||
सरीर स्वसथ खीण समए सिमरंति नानक राम दामोदर माधवह ॥५०॥
Aunque el cuerpo de Nanak esté enfermo o sano, déjalo que medite en Ti oh Señor. (50)
ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਸਰਣੰ ਰਮਣੰ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਕੀਰਤਨਹ ॥
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ (ਲਿਆਂ), ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਪਾਲਣਹਾਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਉਚਾਰਿਆਂ-
I have come to the Sanctuary of the Lord's Lotus Feet, where I sing the Kirtan of His Praises.
चरण कमल सरणं रमणं गोपाल कीरतनह ॥
He llegado hasta el Santuario de los Pies de Loto del Señor, en donde entono el Kirtan de Sus Alabanzas.
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗੇਣ ਤਰਣੰ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਹਾ ਸਾਗਰ ਭੈ ਦੁਤਰਹ ॥੫੧॥
(ਇਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਸੰਸਾਰ) ਇਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਔਖਾ ਹੈ ॥੫੧॥
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, Nanak is carried across the utterly terrifying, difficult world-ocean. ||51||
साध संगेण तरणं नानक महा सागर भै दुतरह ॥५१॥
En la Saad Sangat, la Compañía de los Santos, Nanak llevado a través del increíblemente aterrador y difícil océano del mundo. (51)
ਸਿਰ ਮਸ੍ਤਕ ਰਖੵਾ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੰ ਹਸ੍ਤ ਕਾਯਾ ਰਖੵਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰਹ ॥
ਸਿਰ, ਮੱਥਾ, ਹੱਥ, ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ (ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ (ਹੈ),
The Supreme Lord God has protected my head and forehead; the Transcendent Lord has protected my hands and body.
सिर मस्तक रख्या पारब्रहमं हस्त काया रख्या परमेस्वरह ॥
El Supremo Señor Dios ha protegido mi cabeza y mi frente, el Señor Trascendente ha protegido mis manos y mi cuerpo.
ਆਤਮ ਰਖੵਾ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਧਨ ਚਰਣ ਰਖੵਾ ਜਗਦੀਸ੍ਵਰਹ ॥
ਜਿੰਦ, ਧਨ-ਪਦਾਰਥ (ਆਦਿ ਦੀ) ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਗੋਪਾਲ, ਸੁਆਮੀ, ਜਗਦੀਸਰ (ਹੀ ਹੈ)।
God, my Lord and Master, has saved my soul; the Lord of the Universe has saved my wealth and feet.
आतम रख्या गोपाल सुआमी धन चरण रख्या जगदीस्वरह ॥
Dios, mi Señor y Maestro, ha salvado mi Alma, el Señor del Universo ha salvado mi riqueza y mis pies.
ਸਰਬ ਰਖੵਾ ਗੁਰ ਦਯਾਲਹ ਭੈ ਦੂਖ ਬਿਨਾਸਨਹ ॥
ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਦਇਆ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
The Merciful Guru has protected everything, and destroyed my fear and suffering.
सरब रख्या गुर दयालह भै दूख बिनासनह ॥
El Guru Misericordioso ha protegido todo y ha destruido mis miedos y mi sufrimiento.
ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲ ਅਨਾਥ ਨਾਥੇ ਸਰਣਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਪੁਰਖ ਅਚੁਤਹ ॥੫੨॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਿਆਸਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ, ਭਗਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਅਵਿਨਾਸ਼ੀ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈ ॥੫੨॥
God is the Lover of His devotees, the Master of the masterless. Nanak has entered the Sanctuary of the Imperishable Primal Lord God. ||52||
भगति वछल अनाथ नाथे सरणि नानक पुरख अचुतह ॥५२॥
Dios es el Amante de Sus Devotos, el Maestro de quien no lo tiene, Nanak ha penetrado en el Santuario del Imperecedero y Primordial Dios nuestro Señor.(52)
ਜੇਨ ਕਲਾ ਧਾਰਿਓ ਆਕਾਸੰ ਬੈਸੰਤਰੰ ਕਾਸਟ ਬੇਸਟੰ ॥
ਜਿਸ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੱਤਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਟਿਕਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਕੜ ਨਾਲ ਢਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ;
His Power supports the sky, and locks fire within wood.
जेन कला धारिओ आकासं बैसंतरं कासट बेसटं ॥
Su Poder soporta el Cielo y encierra el fuego dentro de la madera.
ਜੇਨ ਕਲਾ ਸਸਿ ਸੂਰ ਨਖੵਤ੍ਰ ਜੋਤੵਿੰ ਸਾਸੰ ਸਰੀਰ ਧਾਰਣੰ ॥
ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਨਾਲ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਸੂਰਜ ਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਟਿਕਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਆਸ ਟਿਕਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ;
His Power supports the moon, the sun and the stars, and infuses light and breath into the body.
जेन कला ससि सूर नख्यत्र जोत्यिं सासं सरीर धारणं ॥
Su Poder soporta la luna, el sol y las estrellas, e infunde la luz y la respiración en el cuerpo.
ਜੇਨ ਕਲਾ ਮਾਤ ਗਰਭ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੰ ਨਹ ਛੇਦੰਤ ਜਠਰ ਰੋਗਣਹ ॥
ਜਿਸ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੱਤਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੇਟ ਵਿਚ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ (ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ), ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੇਟ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ-ਰੂਪ ਰੋਗ ਜੀਵ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ।
His Power provides nourishment in the womb of the mother, and does not let disease strike.
जेन कला मात गरभ प्रतिपालं नह छेदंत जठर रोगणह ॥
Su Poder nutre el vientre de la madre y mantiene la enfermedad alejada.
ਤੇਨ ਕਲਾ ਅਸਥੰਭੰ ਸਰੋਵਰੰ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਹ ਛਿਜੰਤਿ ਤਰੰਗ ਤੋਯਣਹ ॥੫੩॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਇਸ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-) ਸਰੋਵਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਨਾਲ ਆਸਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਦੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ) ਨਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ ॥੫੩॥
His Power holds back the ocean, O Nanak, and does not allow the waves of water to destroy the land. ||53||
तेन कला असथंभं सरोवरं नानक नह छिजंति तरंग तोयणह ॥५३॥
Su Poder contiene al Océano, y no permite que las olas destruyan la tierra.(53)
ਗੁਸਾਂਈ ਗਰਿਸ੍ਟ ਰੂਪੇਣ ਸਿਮਰਣੰ ਸਰਬਤ੍ਰ ਜੀਵਣਹ ॥
ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ (ਸਹਾਰਾ) ਹੈ।
The Lord of the World is Supremely Beautiful; His Meditation is the Life of all.
गुसांई गरिस्ट रूपेण सिमरणं सरबत्र जीवणह ॥
El Señor del Mundo es Supremamente Bello, Su Meditación es la vida de todo.
ਲਬਧੵੰ ਸੰਤ ਸੰਗੇਣ ਨਾਨਕ ਸ੍ਵਛ ਮਾਰਗ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਣਹ ॥੫੪॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਹੀ (ਇਨਸਾਨੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੇ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਦਾ) ਨਿਰਮਲ ਰਸਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਭਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫੪॥
In the Society of the Saints, O Nanak, He is found on the path of devotional worship of the Lord. ||54||
लबध्यं संत संगेण नानक स्वछ मारग हरि भगतणह ॥५४॥
En la Saad Sangat, Él es encontrado, en el Sendero de la Alabanza de Devoción al Señor.(54)
ਮਸਕੰ ਭਗਨੰਤ ਸੈਲੰ ਕਰਦਮੰ ਤਰੰਤ ਪਪੀਲਕਹ ॥
ਉਹ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ) ਮੱਛਰ (ਵਾਂਗ ਨਿਤਾਣਾ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਭੀ) ਪਹਾੜ (ਅਹੰਕਾਰ) ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕੀੜੀ (ਵਾਂਗ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਭੀ ਹੁਣ) ਚਿੱਕੜ (ਮੋਹ) ਤੋਂ ਤਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
The mosquito pierces the stone, the ant crosses the swamp,
मसकं भगनंत सैलं करदमं तरंत पपीलकह ॥
El pico del mosquito atraviesa la piedra, la hormiga cruza el pantano,
ਸਾਗਰੰ ਲੰਘੰਤਿ ਪਿੰਗੰ ਤਮ ਪਰਗਾਸ ਅੰਧਕਹ ॥
ਲੂਲ੍ਹੇ ਸਮਾਨ (ਨਿਆਸਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਭੀ ਹੁਣ ਸੰਸਾਰ-) ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ) ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਦਾ ਹਨੇਰਾ (ਵੀ) ਚਾਨਣ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
the cripple crosses the ocean, and the blind sees in the darkness,
सागरं लंघंति पिंगं तम परगास अंधकह ॥
el desvalido cruza el océano y el ciego ve en la oscuridad, meditando en el Señor del Universo,
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗੇਣਿ ਸਿਮਰੰਤਿ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਰਣਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ॥੫੫॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਓਟ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫੫॥
meditating on the Lord of the Universe in the Saadh Sangat. Nanak seeks the Sanctuary of the Lord, Har, Har, Haray. ||55||
साध संगेणि सिमरंति गोबिंद सरणि नानक हरि हरि हरे ॥५५॥
en medio de la Saad Sangat, Nanak busca el Santuario del Señor, Jar, Jar, Jari.(55)
ਤਿਲਕ ਹੀਣੰ ਜਥਾ ਬਿਪ੍ਰਾ ਅਮਰ ਹੀਣੰ ਜਥਾ ਰਾਜਨਹ ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤਿਲਕ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੁਕਮ (ਦੀ ਸਮਰਥਾ) ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਰਾਜਾ,
Like a Brahmin without a sacred mark on his forehead, or a king without the power of command,
तिलक हीणं जथा बिप्रा अमर हीणं जथा राजनह ॥
Como el Brahmán, sin su marca sagrada sobre su frente o el rey sin poder para comandar,
ਆਵਧ ਹੀਣੰ ਜਥਾ ਸੂਰਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਧਰਮ ਹੀਣੰ ਤਥਾ ਬੈਸ੍ਨਵਹ ॥੫੬॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਸੂਰਮਾ (ਸੋਭਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਂਦਾ), ਤਿਵੇਂ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਧਰਮ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂ-ਭਗਤ (ਸਮਝੋ) ॥੫੬॥
or a warrior without weapons, so is the devotee of God without Dharmic Faith. ||56||
आवध हीणं जथा सूरा नानक धरम हीणं तथा बैस्नवह ॥५६॥
o el guerrero sin sus armas, así está el Devoto de Dios sin Fe en su Dharma.(56)
ਨ ਸੰਖੰ ਨ ਚਕ੍ਰੰ ਨ ਗਦਾ ਨ ਸਿਆਮੰ ॥
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਹ ਸੰਖ ਹੈ ਨਾਹ ਚੱਕ੍ਰ ਹੈ ਨਾਹ ਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਕਾਲੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। (ਭਾਵ, ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂ ਹੈ ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਹੈ)।
God has no conch-shell, no religious mark, no paraphernalia; he does not have blue skin.
न संखं न चक्रं न गदा न सिआमं ॥
Dios no tiene concha, ni marca religiosa,
ਅਸ੍ਚਰਜ ਰੂਪੰ ਰਹੰਤ ਜਨਮੰ ॥
ਉਹ ਜਨਮ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਅਚਰਜ ਹੈ (ਜੋ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ),
His Form is Wondrous and Amazing. He is beyond incarnation.
अस्चरज रूपं रहंत जनमं ॥
ni parafernalia de ningún tipo ni tampoco piel azul, Su Forma es Maravillosa y Sorprendente,
ਨੇਤ ਨੇਤ ਕਥੰਤਿ ਬੇਦਾ ॥
ਵੇਦ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ,
The Vedas say that He is not this, and not that.
नेत नेत कथंति बेदा ॥
Él está más allá de la reencarnación. Los Vedas dicen que Él no es esto o el otro,
ਊਚ ਮੂਚ ਅਪਾਰ ਗੋਬਿੰਦਹ ॥
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਹੈ, (ਬਹੁਤ) ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈ, (ਬਹੁਤ) ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ,
The Lord of the Universe is Lofty and High, Great and Infinite.
ऊच मूच अपार गोबिंदह ॥
pero el Señor del Universo es Suave y Elevado, Grandioso e Infinito.
ਬਸੰਤਿ ਸਾਧ ਰਿਦਯੰ ਅਚੁਤ ਬੁਝੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਡਭਾਗੀਅਹ ॥੫੭॥
ਉਹ ਅਵਿਨਾਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਹੀ (ਇਹ ਗੱਲ) ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੫੭॥
The Imperishable Lord abides in the hearts of the Holy. He is understood, O Nanak, by those who are very fortunate. ||57||
बसंति साध रिदयं अचुत बुझंति नानक बडभागीअह ॥५७॥
El Señor Imperecedero habita en los corazones de los Santos y sólo es entendido por quienes han sido muy afortunados.(57)
ਉਦਿਆਨ ਬਸਨੰ ਸੰਸਾਰੰ ਸਨਬੰਧੀ ਸ੍ਵਾਨ ਸਿਆਲ ਖਰਹ ॥
ਜੀਵ ਦਾ ਵਾਸਾ ਇਕ ਐਸੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੇ ਕੁੱਤੇ, ਗਿੱਦੜ, ਖੋਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਹਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਜੀਵ ਦਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਕੁੱਤੇ ਗਿੱਦੜ ਖੋਤੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ)।
Living in the world, it is like a wild jungle. One's relatives are like dogs, jackals and donkeys.
उदिआन बसनं संसारं सनबंधी स्वान सिआल खरह ॥
Vivir en el mundo es como vivir en la jungla salvaje, los parientes son como perros, jacales y burros.
ਬਿਖਮ ਸਥਾਨ ਮਨ ਮੋਹ ਮਦਿਰੰ ਮਹਾਂ ਅਸਾਧ ਪੰਚ ਤਸਕਰਹ ॥
ਜੀਵ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਬੜੇ ਔਖੇ ਥਾਂ (ਫਸਿਆ ਪਿਆ) ਹੈ, ਮੋਹ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ (ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਹੈ), ਵੱਡੇ ਅਜਿੱਤ ਪੰਜ (ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਚੋਰ (ਇਸ ਦੇ ਲਾਗੂ ਹਨ)।
In this difficult place, the mind is intoxicated with the wine of emotional attachment; the five unconquered thieves lurk there.
बिखम सथान मन मोह मदिरं महां असाध पंच तसकरह ॥
En este difícil lugar, la mente es envenenada con el elixir del apego emocional y los cinco incontrolables despojadores merodean por ahí.
ਹੀਤ ਮੋਹ ਭੈ ਭਰਮ ਭ੍ਰਮਣੰ ਅਹੰ ਫਾਂਸ ਤੀਖੵਣ ਕਠਿਨਹ ॥
ਇਤ, ਮੋਹ, (ਅਨੇਕਾਂ) ਸਹਿਮ, ਭਟਕਣਾਂ (ਵਿਚ ਜੀਵ ਕਾਬੂ ਆਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ), ਹਉਮੈ ਦੀ ਔਖੀ ਤ੍ਰਿੱਖੀ ਫਾਹੀ (ਇਸ ਦੇ ਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਪਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ)।
The mortals wander lost in love and emotional attachment, fear and doubt; they are caught in the sharp, strong noose of egotism.
हीत मोह भै भरम भ्रमणं अहं फांस तीख्यण कठिनह ॥
Los mortales vagan en el amor y en el apego emocional, en el miedo y la duda, y así son atrapados por el poderoso y filoso dogal del egoísmo.
ਪਾਵਕ ਤੋਅ ਅਸਾਧ ਘੋਰੰ ਅਗਮ ਤੀਰ ਨਹ ਲੰਘਨਹ ॥
(ਜੀਵ ਇਕ ਐਸੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਗੋਤੇ ਖਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੇ) ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਭਿਆਨਕ ਅਸਾਧ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ (ਠਾਠਾਂ ਮਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ), (ਉਸ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦਾ) ਕੰਢਾ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਹੈ, ਪਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੰਘਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
The ocean of fire is terrifying and impassable. The distant shore is so far away; it cannot be reached.
पावक तोअ असाध घोरं अगम तीर नह लंघनह ॥
El océano de fuego es aterrador e impenetrable, la orilla está demasiado lejos y no se puede alcanzar.
ਭਜੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਗੋੁਪਾਲ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਸਰਣ ਉਧਰਣ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ॥੫੮॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਕਰ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਓਟ ਲਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ (ਇਸ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਚਾਉ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫੮॥
Vibrate and meditate on the Lord of the World, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy; O Nanak, by His Grace, we are saved at the Lotus Feet of the Lord. ||58||
भजु साधसंगि गुोपाल नानक हरि चरण सरण उधरण क्रिपा ॥५८॥
Vibra y medita en el Señor del Mundo, en la Compañía de la Saad Sangat, oh dice Nanak, por Su Gracia somos Salvados a los Pies de Loto del Señor. (58)
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੰਤ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੋਪਾਲਹ ਸਗਲੵੰ ਰੋਗ ਖੰਡਣਹ ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੋਪਾਲ (ਜੀਵ ਉਤੇ) ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਰੋਗ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
When the Lord of the Universe grants His Grace, all illnesses are cured.
क्रिपा करंत गोबिंद गोपालह सगल्यं रोग खंडणह ॥
Cuando el Señor del Universo otorga Su Gracia, todas las enfermedades son curadas,
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗੇਣਿ ਗੁਣ ਰਮਤ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰਹ ॥੫੯॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫੯॥
Nanak chants His Glorious Praises in the Saadh Sangat, in the Sanctuary of the Perfect Transcendent Lord God. ||59||
साध संगेणि गुण रमत नानक सरणि पूरन परमेसुरह ॥५९॥
Nanak canta las Gloriosa Alabanzas en la Saad Sangat, en el Santuario del Perfecto y Trascendente Dios nuestro Señor. (59)
ਸਿਆਮਲੰ ਮਧੁਰ ਮਾਨੁਖੵੰ ਰਿਦਯੰ ਭੂਮਿ ਵੈਰਣਹ ॥
ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਵੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ) ਸੋਹਣਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਅਤੇ ਮਿਠ-ਬੋਲਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਪਰ ਜੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਵੈਰ (ਦਾ ਬੀਜ) ਹੋਵੇ,
The mortal is beautiful and speaks sweet words, but in the farm of his heart, he harbors cruel vengeance.
सिआमलं मधुर मानुख्यं रिदयं भूमि वैरणह ॥
El mortal es bello y habla dulces palabras, pero en la granja de su corazón retiene una sed de venganza cruel.
ਨਿਵੰਤਿ ਹੋਵੰਤਿ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਚੇਤਨੰ ਸੰਤ ਸ੍ਵਜਨਹ ॥੬੦॥
ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ (ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਅੱਗੇ) ਲਿਫਣਾ (ਨਿਰੀ) ਠੱਗੀ ਹੈ। ਭਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ (ਇਸ ਉਕਾਈ ਵਲੋਂ) ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੬੦॥
He pretends to bow in worship, but he is false. Beware of him, O friendly Saints. ||60||
निवंति होवंति मिथिआ चेतनं संत स्वजनह ॥६०॥
Pretende postrarse en Alabanza, pero es falso, cuidado con él, oh Santos Amigos. (60)
ਅਚੇਤ ਮੂੜਾ ਨ ਜਾਣੰਤ ਘਟੰਤ ਸਾਸਾ ਨਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਤੇ ॥
ਬੇ-ਸਮਝ ਮੂਰਖ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਕਿ ਸੁਆਸ ਸਦਾ ਘਟਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ,
The thoughtless fool does not know that each day, his breaths are being used up.
अचेत मूड़ा न जाणंत घटंत सासा नित प्रते ॥
El tonto inconsciente no sabe que cada día su respiración está siendo usada,
ਛਿਜੰਤ ਮਹਾ ਸੁੰਦਰੀ ਕਾਂਇਆ ਕਾਲ ਕੰਨਿਆ ਗ੍ਰਾਸਤੇ ॥
ਬੜਾ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਰੀਰ (ਦਿਨੋ-ਦਿਨ) ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਬਿਰਧ-ਅਵਸਥਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਪਾਂਦੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
His most beautiful body is wearing away; old age, the daughter of death, has seized it.
छिजंत महा सुंदरी कांइआ काल कंनिआ ग्रासते ॥
su bello cuerpo se está desgastando, la vejez, hija de la muerte, lo tiene agarrado.
ਰਚੰਤਿ ਪੁਰਖਹ ਕੁਟੰਬ ਲੀਲਾ ਅਨਿਤ ਆਸਾ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਬਿਨੋਦ ॥
(ਅਜੇਹੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ) ਬੰਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਕਲੋਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਨਿੱਤ ਨਾਹ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਸਾਂ (ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ)।
He is engrossed in family play; placing his hopes in transitory things, he indulges in corrupt pleasures.
रचंति पुरखह कुटंब लीला अनित आसा बिखिआ बिनोद ॥
Vive involucrado en la vida familiar, posando sus esperanzas en cosas transitorias, se involucra en placeres corruptos.
ਭ੍ਰਮੰਤਿ ਭ੍ਰਮੰਤਿ ਬਹੁ ਜਨਮ ਹਾਰਿਓ ਸਰਣਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਰੁਣਾਮਯਹ ॥੬੧॥
(ਸਿੱਟਾ ਇਹ ਨਿਕਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਜੀਵ ਥੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਇਸ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ) ਦਇਆ-ਸਰੂਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈ ॥੬੧॥
Wandering lost in countless incarnations, he is exhausted. Nanak seeks the Sanctuary of the Embodiment of Mercy. ||61||
भ्रमंति भ्रमंति बहु जनम हारिओ सरणि नानक करुणामयह ॥६१॥
Vagando perdido a través de incontables encarnaciones, se encuentra exhausto, Nanak busca el Santuario de la Encarnación de Misericordia.(61)
ਹੇ ਜਿਹਬੇ ਹੇ ਰਸਗੇ ਮਧੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਤੁਯੰ ॥
ਹੇ ਜੀਭ! ਹੇ (ਸਭ) ਰਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲੀ! (ਹੇ ਚਸਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੀ! ਹੇ ਚਸਕਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਫਸੀ ਹੋਈ!) ਮਿੱਠੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ।
O tongue, you love to enjoy the sweet delicacies.
हे जिहबे हे रसगे मधुर प्रिअ तुयं ॥
Oh mi paladar, te fascina disfrutar de dulces delicias,
ਸਤ ਹਤੰ ਪਰਮ ਬਾਦੰ ਅਵਰਤਏਥਹ ਸੁਧ ਅਛਰਣਹ ॥
ਪਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ (-ਸਿਮਰਨ) ਵਲੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਮਰੀ ਪਈ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਝਗੜੇ ਸਹੇੜਦੀ ਹੈਂ। ਹੇ ਜੀਭ! ਇਹ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਤੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰ-
You are dead to the Truth, and involved in great disputes. Instead, repeat the holy words:
सत हतं परम बादं अवरतएथह सुध अछरणह ॥
vives muerto para la Verdad e involucrado en vanas disputas; en vez, ponte a repetir las Santas Palabras,
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦਾਮੋਦਰ ਮਾਧਵੇ ॥੬੨॥
'ਗੋਬਿੰਦ' 'ਦਾਮੋਦਰ' 'ਮਾਧੋ'- (ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਤੂੰ ਜੀਭ ਅਖਵਾਣ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਹੋਵੇਂਗੀ) ॥੬੨॥

ਗਰਬੰਤਿ ਨਾਰੀ ਮਦੋਨਮਤੰ ॥
(ਜਿਹੜਾ) ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਮਦ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ-
Those who are proud, and intoxicated with the pleasures of sex,
गरबंति नारी मदोनमतं ॥
Los que viven en el orgullo e intoxicados con los placeres del sexo,
ਬਲਵੰਤ ਬਲਾਤਕਾਰਣਹ ॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ (ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ) ਧੱਕਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
and asserting their power over others,
बलवंत बलातकारणह ॥
quienes fuerzan su poder sobre otros y nunca meditan en los Pies de Loto del Señor,
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਨਹ ਭਜੰਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਣ ਸਮਾਨਿ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਜਨਮਨਹ ॥
ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਧਰਦਾ, (ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹਸਤੀ) ਤੀਲੇ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਜੋਗ ਹੈ।
never contemplate the Lord's Lotus Feet. Their lives are cursed, and as worthless as straw.
चरन कमल नह भजंत त्रिण समानि ध्रिगु जनमनह ॥
sus vidas son maldecidas y se encuentran sin valor así como una varita de paja.
ਹੇ ਪਪੀਲਕਾ ਗ੍ਰਸਟੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿਮਰਣ ਤੁਯੰ ਧਨੇ ॥
ਹੇ ਕੀੜੀ! (ਜੇ) ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੇਰਾ ਧਨ ਹੈ, (ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਨਿੱਕੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਭੀ) ਭਾਰੀ ਹੈਂ (ਤੇਰੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੌਲਾ ਤੀਲੇ-ਸਮਾਨ ਹੈ)।
You are as tiny and insignificant as an ant, but you shall become great, by the Wealth of the Lord's Meditation.
हे पपीलका ग्रसटे गोबिंद सिमरण तुयं धने ॥
Eres tan pequeño e insignificante como una hormiga, pero te volverás grandioso con la Riqueza de la Meditación de Dios.
ਨਾਨਕ ਅਨਿਕ ਬਾਰ ਨਮੋ ਨਮਹ ॥੬੩॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਅੱਗੇ) ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰ ॥੬੩॥
Nanak bows in humble worship, countless times, over and over again. ||63||
नानक अनिक बार नमो नमह ॥६३॥
Nanak se postra incontables veces, una y otra más, en humilde Alabanza. (63)
ਤ੍ਰਿਣੰ ਤ ਮੇਰੰ ਸਹਕੰ ਤ ਹਰੀਅੰ ॥
ਉਹ ਤੀਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਮੇਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸੁਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਹਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
The blade of grass becomes a mountain, and the barren land becomes green.
त्रिणं त मेरं सहकं त हरीअं ॥
La hoja de pasto se vuelve montaña y la tierra árida se vuelve verde,
ਬੂਡੰ ਤ ਤਰੀਅੰ ਊਣੰ ਤ ਭਰੀਅੰ ॥
(ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਡੁੱਬਦਾ ਤਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਗੁਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਸੱਖਣਾ (ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਭਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
The drowning one swims across, and the empty is filled to overflowing.
बूडं त तरीअं ऊणं त भरीअं ॥
el que se ahoga, nada hasta la orilla y lo vacío se llena hasta derramarse.
ਅੰਧਕਾਰ ਕੋਟਿ ਸੂਰ ਉਜਾਰੰ ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਹਨੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਸੂਰਜਾਂ ਦਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
Millions of suns illuminate the darkness,
अंधकार कोटि सूर उजारं ॥
Millones de soles iluminan la oscuridad, reza Nanak,
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਦਯਾਰੰ ॥੬੪॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ) ਗੁਰੂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਿਆਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ ॥੬੪॥
prays Nanak, when the Guru, the Lord, becomes Merciful. ||64||
बिनवंति नानक हरि गुर दयारं ॥६४॥
cuando el Guru, el Señor, nos muestra Su Misericordia.(64)
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਣਹ ਸੰਗਿ ਉਧਰਣੰ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕਰਮ ਜਿ ਪੂਰਣਹ ॥
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰੀ-ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿਚ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਹੈ ਅਸਲ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ (ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਭੀ) ਉੱਧਾਰ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
Associating with the Brahmin, one is saved, if his actions are perfect and God-like.
ब्रहमणह संगि उधरणं ब्रहम करम जि पूरणह ॥
Asociándose al Brahmán uno es salvado si sus acciones son perfectas como las de Dios.
ਆਤਮ ਰਤੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਗਹੰਤੇ ਨਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਿਹਫਲਹ ॥੬੫॥
(ਪਰ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਉਹ (ਜਗਤ ਤੋਂ) ਨਿਸਫਲ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੬੫॥
Those whose souls are imbued with the world - O Nanak, their lives are fruitless. ||65||
आतम रतं संसार गहंते नर नानक निहफलह ॥६५॥
Quienes tienen su Alma imbuida en los asuntos del mundo, oh dice Nanak, sus vidas no dan fruto alguno.(65)
ਪਰ ਦਰਬ ਹਿਰਣੰ ਬਹੁ ਵਿਘਨ ਕਰਣੰ ਉਚਰਣੰ ਸਰਬ ਜੀਅ ਕਹ ॥
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਪਾਲਣ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਪਰਾਇਆ ਧਨ ਚੁਰਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਰੋੜਾ ਅਟਕਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕਈ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੋਲ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ,
The mortal steals the wealth of others, and makes all sorts of problems; his preaching is only for his own livelihood.
पर दरब हिरणं बहु विघन करणं उचरणं सरब जीअ कह ॥
El mortal se roba la riqueza de otros, causando todo tipo de problemas, su hablar es sólo para su propio bien,
ਲਉ ਲਈ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਅਤਿਪਤਿ ਮਨ ਮਾਏ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਤ ਸਿ ਸੂਕਰਹ ॥੬੬॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਸਦਾ) ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਹੈ, ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਹੋਰ ਮਾਇਆ) ਲੈ ਲਵਾਂ ਲੈ ਲਵਾਂ (ਹੀ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ), ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਸੂਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ (ਸੂਰ ਸਦਾ ਗੰਦ ਹੀ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ) ॥੬੬॥
His desire for this and that is not satisfied; his mind is caught in Maya, and he is acting like a pig. ||66||
लउ लई त्रिसना अतिपति मन माए करम करत सि सूकरह ॥६६॥
su deseo para esto o aquello nunca es satisfecho, pues su mente está atrapada en la Maya y vive actuando como puerco.(66)
ਮਤੇ ਸਮੇਵ ਚਰਣੰ ਉਧਰਣੰ ਭੈ ਦੁਤਰਹ ॥
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ) ਮਸਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਤੇ ਦੁੱਤਰ (ਸੰਸਾਰ) ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those who are intoxicated and absorbed in the Lord's Lotus Feet are saved from the terrifying world-ocean.
मते समेव चरणं उधरणं भै दुतरह ॥
Los que viven intoxicados y absorbidos en los Pies de Loto del Señor, están a salvo del terrible océano del mundo.
ਅਨੇਕ ਪਾਤਿਕ ਹਰਣੰ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਮ ਨ ਸੰਸਯਹ ॥੬੭॥੪॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਸ ਵਿਚ (ਰਤਾ ਭੀ) ਸ਼ੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਅਜੇਹੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੈ ॥੬੭॥੪॥
Countless sins are destroyed, O Nanak, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy; there is no doubt about this. ||67||4||
अनेक पातिक हरणं नानक साध संगम न संसयह ॥६७॥४॥
Millones de errores son destruidos, en la Saad Sangat, oh dice Nanak, de esto no hay duda alguna. (67-4)
