सवईए महले पहिले के १ ॥

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Un Dios Creador Universal, por la Gracia del Verdadero Guru.
ਇਕ ਮਨਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਬਰਦਾਤਾ ॥
ਉਸ ਆਕਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਇਕਾਗਰ ਮਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ, ਜੋ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ,
Meditate single-mindedly on the Primal Lord God, the Bestower of blessings.
इक मनि पुरखु धिआइ बरदाता ॥
Medita con una mente sencilla en el Señor Primordial, el Dador de Bendiciones.
ਸੰਤ ਸਹਾਰੁ ਸਦਾ ਬਿਖਿਆਤਾ ॥
ਜੋ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ-ਨਾਜ਼ਰ ਹੈ,
He is the Helper and Support of the Saints, manifest forever.
संत सहारु सदा बिखिआता ॥
Él es el Soporte y el Socorro de los Santos, Manifiesto es para siempre.
ਤਾਸੁ ਚਰਨ ਲੇ ਰਿਦੈ ਬਸਾਵਉ ॥
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
Grasp His Feet and enshrine them in your heart.
तासु चरन ले रिदै बसावउ ॥
Aférrate a Sus Pies y elévalos en tu corazón
ਤਉ ਪਰਮ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਉ ॥੧॥
ਅਤੇ (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਪਰਮ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥
Then, let us sing the Glorious Praises of the most exalted Guru Nanak. ||1||
तउ परम गुरू नानक गुन गावउ ॥१॥

ਗਾਵਉ ਗੁਨ ਪਰਮ ਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਦੁਰਤ ਨਿਵਾਰਣ ਸਬਦ ਸਰੇ ॥
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਪਰਮ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਹੈ।
I sing the Glorious Praises of the most exalted Guru Nanak, the Ocean of peace, the Eradicator of sins, the sacred pool of the Shabad, the Word of God.
गावउ गुन परम गुरू सुख सागर दुरत निवारण सबद सरे ॥
Canto las Gloriosas Alabanzas del más Exaltado Guru Nanak, el Océano de Paz, el Erradicador de las faltas, el Lago Sagrado del Shabd, la Palabra de Dios.
ਗਾਵਹਿ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਧੀਰ ਮਤਿ ਸਾਗਰ ਜੋਗੀ ਜੰਗਮ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਧਰੇ ॥
(ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ) ਜੋਗੀ, ਜੰਗਮ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰ ਕੇ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਧੀਰਜਵਾਨ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਉੱਚੀ ਮਤ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ।
The beings of deep and profound understanding, oceans of wisdom, sing of Him; the Yogis and wandering hermits meditate on Him.
गावहि गंभीर धीर मति सागर जोगी जंगम धिआनु धरे ॥
Los seres de profundo entendimiento, océanos de Sabiduría, le cantan, los Yoguis y ermitaños meditan en Él.
ਗਾਵਹਿ ਇੰਦ੍ਰਾਦਿ ਭਗਤ ਪ੍ਰਹਿਲਾਦਿਕ ਆਤਮ ਰਸੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਜਾਣਿਓ ॥
ਜਿਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਦਰ ਆਦਿਕ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਹਿਲਾਦ ਆਦਿਕ ਭਗਤ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Indra and devotees like Prahlaad, who know the joy of the soul, sing of Him.

ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਭਿੱਜਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਸੱਤਿਆ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਕ ਆਦਿਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਜੋਗੀਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਜਿਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਛਲ ਸਕੀ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸਨਕ ਆਦਿਕ ਸਾਧ ਤੇ ਸਿੱਧ ਆਦਿਕ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਜਿਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਭਗਤੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਭਾਵ ਦੁਆਰਾ (ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ) ਆਨੰਦ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧੋਮੁ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਧ੍ਰੂ ਭਗਤ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

गावै जमदगनि परसरामेसुर कर कुठारु रघु तेजु हरिओ ॥

ਚਾਰੇ ਵਰਣ, ਛੇ ਭੇਖ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਆਦਿਕ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਯਾਦ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।

ਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਨਾਗ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਜੀਭਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਲਿਵ ਦੀ ਧੁਨੀ ਲਗਾ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The thousand-tongued serpent king sings His Praises with delight, remaining lovingly attached to Him.
गावै गुण सेसु सहस जिहबा रस आदि अंति लिव लागि धुना ॥

ਜਿਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਬਿਰਤੀ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ (ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਈ ਹੈ,) ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਵੈਰਾਗਵਾਨ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਜੀ (ਭੀ) ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਰਾਜੁ ਜੋਗੁ ਮਾਣਿਓ ਬਸਿਓ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਰਿਦੰਤਰਿ ॥
(ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੇ) ਰਾਜ ਭੀ ਮਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਜੋਗ ਭੀ; ਨਿਰਵੈਰ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
He mastered Raja Yoga, and enjoys sovereignty over both worlds; the Lord, beyond hate and revenge, is enshrined within His Heart.
राजु जोगु माणिओ बसिओ निरवैरु रिदंतरि ॥
Él conquistó el Raya Yoga y es soberano en los dos mundos, el Señor, Quien está más allá del odio y de la venganza, es Enaltecido en Su corazón.
ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਸਗਲ ਉਧਰੀ ਨਾਮਿ ਲੇ ਤਰਿਓ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ॥
(ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ) ਆਪ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਤਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤੇ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਤਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
The whole world is saved, and carried across, chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
स्रिसटि सगल उधरी नामि ले तरिओ निरंतरि ॥
El mundo entero es salvado y llevado a través, cantando el Naam, el Nombre del Dios.
ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਸਨਕਾਦਿ ਆਦਿ ਜਨਕਾਦਿ ਜੁਗਹ ਲਗਿ ॥
ਸਨਕ ਆਦਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਤ੍ਰ, ਜਨਕ ਆਦਿਕ ਪੁਰਾਤਨ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਕਈ ਜੁੱਗਾਂ ਤੋਂ (ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
Sanak and Janak and the others sing His Praises, age after age.
गुण गावहि सनकादि आदि जनकादि जुगह लगि ॥

ਧੰਨਿ ਧੰਨਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਧੰਨਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਸਕਯਥੁ ਭਲੌ ਜਗਿ ॥
ਧੰਨ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੂ (ਨਾਨਕ)! ਧੰਨ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੂ (ਨਾਨਕ)! ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਜਨਮ ਲੈਣਾ ਸਕਾਰਥਾ ਤੇ ਭਲਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
Blessed, blessed, blessed and fruitful is the sublime birth of the Guru into the world.
धंनि धंनि गुरु धंनि जनमु सकयथु भलौ जगि ॥
nacimiento de Guru Nanak en este mundo, aún en las regiones inferiores, Su Victoria es celebrada, dice Kal el poeta.
ਪਾਤਾਲ ਪੁਰੀ ਜੈਕਾਰ ਧੁਨਿ ਕਬਿ ਜਨ ਕਲ ਵਖਾਣਿਓ ॥
ਦਾਸ ਕਲ੍ਯ੍ਯ ਕਵੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ- (ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ!) ਪਾਤਾਲ ਲੋਕ ਤੋਂ ਭੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਜੈ ਜੈਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ (ਉਠ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ)।
Even in the nether regions, His Victory is celebrated; so says KAL the poet.
पाताल पुरी जैकार धुनि कबि जन कल वखाणिओ ॥
Eres bendecido con el Néctar del Nombre del Señor,
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਰਸਿਕ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਰਾਜੁ ਜੋਗੁ ਤੈ ਮਾਣਿਓ ॥੬॥
ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਸੀਏ ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ! ਤੂੰ ਰਾਜ ਤੇ ਜੋਗ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਮਾਣੇ ਹਨ ॥੬॥
You are blessed with the Nectar of the Lord's Name, O Guru Nanak; You have mastered Raja Yoga, and enjoy sovereignty over both worlds. ||6||
हरि नाम रसिक नानक गुर राजु जोगु तै माणिओ ॥६॥
oh Guru Nanak, has conquistado el Raya Yoga y gozas de Soberanía en ambos mundos. (6)
ਸਤਿਜੁਗਿ ਤੈ ਮਾਣਿਓ ਛਲਿਓ ਬਲਿ ਬਾਵਨ ਭਾਇਓ ॥
(ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ!) ਸਤਜੁਗ ਵਿਚ (ਭੀ) ਤੂੰ ਹੀ (ਰਾਜ ਤੇ ਜੋਗ) ਮਾਣਿਆ ਸੀ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਲਿ ਨੂੰ ਛਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਤਦੋਂ ਵਾਮਨ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਬਣਨਾ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਸੀ।
In the Golden Age of Sat Yuga, You were pleased to deceive Baal the king, in the form of a dwarf.
सतिजुगि तै माणिओ छलिओ बलि बावन भाइओ ॥
En la Era dorada de Sat eras Krishna, estabas complacido de engañar a Baal, el rey, en la forma de un enano.
ਤ੍ਰੇਤੈ ਤੈ ਮਾਣਿਓ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਘੁਵੰਸੁ ਕਹਾਇਓ ॥
ਤ੍ਰੇਤੇ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ (ਰਾਜ ਤੇ ਜੋਗ) ਮਾਣਿਆ ਸੀ, ਤਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਰਘੁਵੰਸੀ ਰਾਮ ਅਖਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ (ਭਾਵ, ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ ਵਾਮਨ ਅਵਤਾਰ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ ਰਘੁਵੰਸੀ ਰਾਮ)।
In the Silver Age of Traytaa Yuga, You were called Raam of the Raghu dynasty.
त्रेतै तै माणिओ रामु रघुवंसु कहाइओ ॥

ਦੁਆਪੁਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ਕੰਸੁ ਕਿਰਤਾਰਥੁ ਕੀਓ ॥
(ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ!) ਦੁਆਪੁਰ ਜੁਗ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਮੁਰਾਰ ਭੀ (ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸੈਂ), ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਕੰਸ ਨੂੰ (ਮਾਰ ਕੇ) ਮੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
In the Brass Age of Dwaapur Yuga, You were Krishna; You killed Mur the demon and saved Kans.
दुआपुरि क्रिसन मुरारि कंसु किरतारथु कीओ ॥
eras Krishna, mataste a Mur, el ser maligno y salvaste a Kans.
ਉਗ੍ਰਸੈਣ ਕਉ ਰਾਜੁ ਅਭੈ ਭਗਤਹ ਜਨ ਦੀਓ ॥
(ਤੂੰ ਹੀ) ਉਗ੍ਰਸੈਣ ਨੂੰ (ਮਥੁਰਾ ਦਾ) ਰਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਭੈਤਾ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਸੀ (ਭਾਵ, ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ)।
You blessed Ugrasain with a kingdom, and You blessed Your humble devotees with fearlessness.
उग्रसैण कउ राजु अभै भगतह जन दीओ ॥
Tus Bendiciones confirieron a Ugrasain con un reino, y diste a tus humildes Devotos la actitud de vivir sin miedos y temores.
ਕਲਿਜੁਗਿ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰੁ ਅੰਗਦੁ ਅਮਰੁ ਕਹਾਇਓ ॥
ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ! ਕਲਜੁਗ ਵਿਚ (ਭੀ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ) ਸਮਰਥਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, (ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ) ਗੁਰੂ ਅੰਗਦ ਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਅਖਵਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
In the Iron Age, the Dark Age of Kali Yuga, You are known and accepted as Guru Nanak, Guru Angad and Guru Amar Das.
कलिजुगि प्रमाणु नानक गुरु अंगदु अमरु कहाइओ ॥
En la Era de Hierro, la Era oscura de Kali, eres conocido y aceptado como Guru Nanak, Guru Angad y Guru Amar Das. La soberana regencia del Gran Guru es inmutable y permanente,
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਜੁ ਅਬਿਚਲੁ ਅਟਲੁ ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖਿ ਫੁਰਮਾਇਓ ॥੭॥
(ਇਹ ਤਾਂ) ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੇ (ਹੀ) ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ (ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ) ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਤੇ ਅਟੱਲ ਹੈ ॥੭॥
The sovereign rule of the Great Guru is unchanging and permanent, according the Command of the Primal Lord God. ||7||
स्री गुरू राजु अबिचलु अटलु आदि पुरखि फुरमाइओ ॥७॥
de acuerdo al Mandato de nuestro Señor, el Dios Primordial. (7)
ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਰਵਿਦਾਸੁ ਭਗਤੁ ਜੈਦੇਵ ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨ ॥
(ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਭਗਤ ਗਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜੈਦੇਵ ਤੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨ ਗਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ,

गुण गावै रविदासु भगतु जैदेव त्रिलोचन ॥
Sus Gloriosas Alabanzas son recitadas por los Devotos, Ravi Das, Ye Dev y Trilochan,
ਨਾਮਾ ਭਗਤੁ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਸਦਾ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਸਮ ਲੋਚਨ ॥
ਭਗਤ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਤੇ ਕਬੀਰ ਗਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ; (ਜੋ) ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੇਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ ਵੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
The devotees Naam Dayv and Kabeer praise Him continually, knowing Him to be even-eyed.
नामा भगतु कबीरु सदा गावहि सम लोचन ॥
los Devotos Nam Dev y Kabir Lo Alaban continuamente, sabiendo que Él es de mirada pareja.
ਭਗਤੁ ਬੇਣਿ ਗੁਣ ਰਵੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਆਤਮ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਣੈ ॥
(ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ) ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ,
The devotee Baynee sings His Praises; He intuitively enjoys the ecstasy of the soul.
भगतु बेणि गुण रवै सहजि आतम रंगु माणै ॥
El Devoto Beni canta Sus Alabanzas, él de forma intuitiva disfruta del Éxtasis del Alma.
ਜੋਗ ਧਿਆਨਿ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨਿ ਬਿਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ॥
(ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤੀ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ, (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਣੀ ਭਗਤ ਗਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
He is the Master of Yoga and meditation, and the spiritual wisdom of the Guru; He knows none other except God.
जोग धिआनि गुर गिआनि बिना प्रभ अवरु न जाणै ॥
Él es el Maestro de la Yoga y la Meditación, y la Sabiduría Espiritual del Guru, no conoce a otro excepto a Dios.
ਸੁਖਦੇਉ ਪਰੀਖੵਤੁ ਗੁਣ ਰਵੈ ਗੋਤਮ ਰਿਖਿ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਇਓ ॥
ਸੁਖਦੇਵ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ (ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ) ਗਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਰਾਜਾ) ਪਰੀਖਤ (ਭੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਗੋਤਮ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ (ਭੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾ ਹੀ) ਜਸ ਗਾਂਵਿਆ ਹੈ।
Sukh Dayv and Preekhyat sing His Praises, and Gautam the rishi sings His Praise.
सुखदेउ परीख्यतु गुण रवै गोतम रिखि जसु गाइओ ॥
Suk Dev y Priket cantan su Alabanza,
ਕਬਿ ਕਲ ਸੁਜਸੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਨਿਤ ਨਵਤਨੁ ਜਗਿ ਛਾਇਓ ॥੮॥
ਹੇ ਕਲ੍ਯ੍ਯ ਕਵੀ! ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ (ਦੇਵ ਜੀ) ਦੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਨਿੱਤ ਨਵੀਂ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਪਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੮॥
Says KAL the poet, the ever-fresh praises of Guru Nanak are spread throughout the world. ||8||
कबि कल सुजसु नानक गुर नित नवतनु जगि छाइओ ॥८॥
y Gautam, el Rishi también las canta. Dice Kal, el poeta, las Alabanzas siempre frescas de Guru Nanak son esparcidas a través del mundo entero. (8)
ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਪਾਯਾਲਿ ਭਗਤ ਨਾਗਾਦਿ ਭੁਯੰਗਮ ॥
ਪਾਤਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ (ਸ਼ੇਸ਼-) ਨਾਗ ਆਦਿਕ ਹੋਰ ਸਰਪ-ਭਗਤ (ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
In the nether worlds, His Praises are sung by the devotees like Shaysh-naag in serpent form.
गुण गावहि पायालि भगत नागादि भुयंगम ॥
En los mundos inferiores, Sus Alabanzas son recitadas por devotos como Shesh-nag en la forma de serpiente.
ਮਹਾਦੇਉ ਗੁਣ ਰਵੈ ਸਦਾ ਜੋਗੀ ਜਤਿ ਜੰਗਮ ॥

महादेउ गुण रवै सदा जोगी जति जंगम ॥

ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਮੁਨਿ ਬੵਾਸੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਬੇਦ ਬੵਾਕਰਣ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਅ ॥
ਜਿਸ (ਵਿਆਸ ਮੁਨੀ) ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੇਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਆਕਰਣਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
Vyaas the silent sage, who studied the Vedas and its grammar, sings His Praise.
गुण गावै मुनि ब्यासु जिनि बेद ब्याकरण बीचारिअ ॥
Vyas el Santo silencioso, quien estudió los Vedas y su gramática, canta Sus Alabanzas.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਗੁਣ ਉਚਰੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਸਭ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਸਵਾਰੀਅ ॥
ਜਿਸ (ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ) ਨੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਰਚੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣ ਉਚਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
His Praises are sung by Brahma, who created the entire universe by God's Command.
ब्रहमा गुण उचरै जिनि हुकमि सभ स्रिसटि सवारीअ ॥
Sus Alabanzas son entonadas por Brahma, quien creó el Universo entero por Mandato de Dios.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ਖੰਡ ਪੂਰਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਸਮ ਜਾਣਿਓ ॥
ਜਿਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਿਚ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ-ਨਾਜ਼ਰ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਗੁਣ ਤੇ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਰੂਪਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਇੱਕੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ,
God fills the galaxies and realms of the universe; He is known to be the same, manifest and unmanifest.
ब्रहमंड खंड पूरन ब्रहमु गुण निरगुण सम जाणिओ ॥
Él llena las galaxias y los reinos del universo, se dice que es Manifiesto e Inmanifiesto.
ਜਪੁ ਕਲ ਸੁਜਸੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਸਹਜੁ ਜੋਗੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਮਾਣਿਓ ॥੯॥
ਜਿਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਅਡੋਲ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਤੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਕਲ੍ਯ੍ਯ! ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰ ॥੯॥
KAL chants the Sublime Praises of Guru Nanak, who enjoys mastery of Yoga. ||9||
जपु कल सुजसु नानक गुर सहजु जोगु जिनि माणिओ ॥९॥

ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਨਵ ਨਾਥ ਧੰਨਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਾਚਿ ਸਮਾਇਓ ॥
ਨੌ ਨਾਥ (ਭੀ) ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਤੇ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ), "ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸੱਚੇ ਹਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।"
The nine masters of Yoga sing His Praises; blessed is the Guru, who is merged into the True Lord.
गुण गावहि नव नाथ धंनि गुरु साचि समाइओ ॥
Los nueve Maestros del Yoga cantan Su Alabanza, Bendito sea el Guru, Quien está inmergido en el Señor Verdadero.
ਮਾਂਧਾਤਾ ਗੁਣ ਰਵੈ ਜੇਨ ਚਕ੍ਰਵੈ ਕਹਾਇਓ ॥
ਜਿਸ ਮਾਂਧਾਤਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਕ੍ਰਵਰਤੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਖਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਭੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਉਚਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
Maandhaataa, who called himself ruler of all the world, sings His Praises.
मांधाता गुण रवै जेन चक्रवै कहाइओ ॥
Mandhata, quien se llamó a sí mismo regidor del mundo, canta Su Alabanza,
ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਉ ਸਪਤ ਪਾਤਾਲਿ ਬਸੰਤੌ ॥
ਸਤਵੇਂ ਪਾਤਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਲਿ (ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
Bal the king, dwelling in the seventh underworld, sings His Praises.
गुण गावै बलि राउ सपत पातालि बसंतौ ॥
Baal, el rey, habitando en el séptimo mundo inferior, canta Su Alabanza.
ਭਰਥਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਉਚਰੈ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਰ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਹੰਤੌ ॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਭਰਥਰੀ ਭੀ ਸਦਾ (ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣ ਉੱਚਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
Bhart'har, abiding forever with Gorakh, his guru, sings His Praises.
भरथरि गुण उचरै सदा गुर संगि रहंतौ ॥
Barthar, quien habita con Gorak, su Guru, canta Su Alabanza, Durbas, el rey Puro y Angra, cantan la Alabanza de Guru Nanak.
ਦੂਰਬਾ ਪਰੂਰਉ ਅੰਗਰੈ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਇਓ ॥
ਦੁਰਵਾਸਾ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ, ਰਾਜਾ ਪੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਤੇ ਅੰਗਰ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾ ਜਸ ਗਾਂਵਿਆਂ ਹੈ।

ਕਬਿ ਕਲ ਸੁਜਸੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਇਓ ॥੧੦॥
ਹੇ ਕਲ੍ਯ੍ਯ ਕਵੀ! ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਸੁਤੇ ਹੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ-ਮਾਤ੍ਰ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ॥੧੦॥
